Memang menarik juga mendengar ceramah Us'Start' Bob Lokman. Gelaran 'Us'Start' ni dia sendiri yang beri. Kata Bob Lokman dia baru 'start' sebab baru masuk PAS. :)
Seronok juga melihat seorang yang pernah bergelumang dengan dunia hiburan berhijrah ke jalan yang kita kira kurang sedikit dari dosa tetapi beralih dari dosa zahir kepada dosa batin.
Dosa batin macamana pulak?
Kutipan derma jihad!
Jihad perang mana beb?
Jihad masuk poket dan kantung kantung penceramah serta urusetia majlis.
Kemudian disusuli dengan unsur jenaka menyerikan majlis kononnya.
Apa kesudahan intipati majlis seperti ini?
Adakah tercapai matlamat majlis?
Alang kepalang u nak berubah cuba u ikut jalan ulamak muktabar seperti Tuan Guru Prof Dato Dr Harun Din!
'Majlis ceramah' u tak sama dengan majlis ilmu yang dibawa oleh ulamak Islam sebenar seperti Tuan Guru Prof Dato Dr Harun Din AlHaj.
Beliau adalah ahli PAS juga malah Timbalan Mursyidul Am PAS.
Belum lagi saya melihat Prof mencaci cerca sesiapa walaupun parti beliau adalah seteru yang nyata terhadap UMNO.
Engkau mengata aku ; aku mengata engkau.
Musuh musuh Islam seronok memerhatikan gelagat orang orang PAS seperti 'Us'Start' Bob Lokman ini.
'Run of the mill' bro.
Jenis kalau nak berceramah mesti nak kena hentam sesama Islam.
Islam tak ada menyuruh kita bermusuh2an tetapi 'Us'Start' seperti Bob Lokman semberono sahaja mengata mencerca saudara seagama dengannya.
Nak kena usaha lagi Bob!
Bawa bawa belajarlah dari Tuan Guru Prof Dato Dr Harun Din cara cara nak mengajak manusia kejalan Allah.
Tukar Tok Guru le beb. Yang u ikut sekarang ni ' line tak clear' syeikh!
Makin berserabut nampaknya.

EMBASSY IN KUALA LUMPUR CLOSELY FOLLOWED THE TRIAL OF THE ACCUSED KILLERS OF MONGOLIAN INTERPRETER ALTANTUYA SHAARIIBUU AND FREQUENTLY DISCUSSED WHETHER CURRENT PRIME MINISTER NAJIB RAZAK WAS INVOLVED IN THE KILLING, ACCORDING TO DIPLOMATIC CABLES SUPPLIED BY THE WIKILEAKS WEBSITE. IS NAJIB AND SHAFIE SMS EXCHANGE ON ALTANTUYA AUTHENTIC? NO ONE HAS ANSWERED THE MILLION … READ MORE
KUALALUMPUR: His father had whispered something and the accused appeared agitated. When the court adjourned for recess, the accused banged and kicked the door, yelling: "You can die, Pak Lah! Die, Pak Lah! I am innocent. I am innocent."
In a startling new twist to the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case, WikiLeaks had revealed diplomatic cables hinting that former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, known as Pak Lah, might had attempted to fix up his then deputy, Najib Tun Razak.
The case which haunts Najib to this day, had come close to derailing his ambition of becoming prime minister when one of his confidants, Abdul Razak Baginda, was charged with abetting the murder of the Mongolian national.
Razak was eventually acquitted while Najib had forced Abdullah to hand over the reins after Barisan Nasional's (BN) dismal performance in the 2008 general election.
In the WikiLeaks disclosure to the Asian Sentinel, the conspiracy theory implicating Abdullah was found in a February 2008 cable from the US embassy's political section chief Mark D Clark.
During the trial, Clark wrote, Razak "appeared uneasy throughout the morning session of court on Feb 20. Razak's father, Abdullah Malim Baginda, had whispered something to him shortly before the trial had begun for the morning and apparently upset the accused.
"Razak remained quiet throughout the morning hearing, but just after the noon recess was called and as he was leaving the courtroom he kicked and banged the door and yelled 'You can die, Pak Lah! Die, Pak Lah! I am innocent. I am innocent'. He was later seen crying before his lawyer while his mother attempted to comfort him."
'The Sun told to withdraw copies'
The embassy official also noted that local newspapers and the government news service Bernama had reported the outburt, but did not print his statements.
"The short-lived exception was the English language newspaper The Sun, which included the quotations from Razak in its early morning Feb 21 edition. Sources at the newspaper confirmed to us in confidence that the Ministry of Internal Security (Home Ministry) compelled The Sun to withdraw and recall thousands of copies of their first-run paper in which the original quote was included. Prime Minister Abdullah serves concurrently as Minister of Internal Security."
Clark said that speculation was rife in Malaysia's online community on what had sparked off the outburst, including conspiracy theories alleging that the Prime Minister's Office had urged Razak to implicate Najib, and in return, the accused would be spared the guilty verdict and mandatory death sentence.
"Regardless, the Internal Security Ministry would want to limit any possibly inflammatory reference to the prime minister at the trial, and particularly at this juncture due to the proximity of Malaysia's general election to be held on March 8.
"Any connection between the prime minister and the murder trial would be scandalous. The GOM (Government of Malaysia) reportedly has worked hard to 'drive (the case) from public view'… and is not about to allow the case to influence the coming election," read the cable.
Based on the cables provided by WikiLeaks, the Asian Sentinel reported that the US embassy here followed the trial closely and frequently discussed whether Najib was involved in the killing.
The diplomats, like much of the public, also speculated that the trial was being deliberately delayed and feared what one cable called "prosecutorial misconduct" that was being politically manipulated.
The embassy officials had based their concerns on sources within the prosecution, government and the political opposition.
'Razak's wife in contact with Anwar'
The cables, stated the report, were replete with accounts of a long series of meetings with Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, who repeatedly told the Americans that Najib was connected to corrupt practices in the acquisition of submarines as well as the purchase of Sukhoi Su-MCM-30 Flanker fighter jets from Russia.
Anwar, it added, also called attention to Najib's connection to the Altantuya case.
In a Jan 24, 2007 cable marked "secret", it was written that "perceived irregularities on the part of prosecutors and the court, and the alleged destruction of some evidence, suggested to many that the case was subject to strong political pressure intended to protect Najib".
On Feb 1, 2008, Clark wrote that a deputy prosecutor had informed him "there was almost no chance of winning guilty verdicts in the ongoing trial of defendants Razak, a close adviser to Najib, and two police officers. She described the trial as interminably long."
"Clark called the trial a 'a prosecutorial embarrassment' from its inception, leading many to speculate that the ineptitude was by design. On the eve of the trial, Malaysia's Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail dropped his lead prosecutors and replaced them with less experienced attorneys. Similarly, a lead counsel for one of the defendants abruptly resigned before the trial 'because of (political) attempts to interfere with a defence he had proposed, in particular to protect an unnamed third party.'"
The protracted nature of the case, Clark said, led "at least one regional newspaper to speculate that 'the case is being deliberately delayed to drive it from public view. Malaysia's daily newspapers rarely mention the case's latest developments, and it is unprecedented in Malaysian judicial history that a murder trial could drag on for seven months and still not give the defence an opportunity to present its case. Such an environment has led many to conclude that the case was too politically sensitive to yield a verdict before the anticipated general election."
Meanwhile, a January 2007 cable touched on Razak's affidavit confirming that he sought the help of Musa Safri, later identified as Najib's aide-de-camp, in ridding him of the jilted woman, and in other cables pointed out that Musa had never been called for questioning.
In another cable, dated May 16, 2007, Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, a deputy home minister in
Abdullah's cabinet, told US Embassy officials that he was "certain that government prosecutors would limit their trial activities to the murder itself and the three defendants; prosecutors would not follow up on allegations of related corruption or other suspects".
In a cable marked "secret" on Jan 27, 2007, embassy officials wrote: "In December we heard from one of (Anwar's) lawyers that Razak's wife was in contact with Anwar and (Anwar's wife Dr )Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail), suggesting one possible source for Anwar's information."
In April 2009, two police officers from the special operations force, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, 30, and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, 35, were found guilty of murdering Altantuya.
The murder was tied closely to the US$1 billion acquisition of French submarines by the Malaysian defence ministry during Najib's tenure as defence minister. Altantuya reportedly acted as a translator on the transaction, which netted Razak's company a €114 million "commission" on the purchase.
According to reports, Altantuya had been offered US$500,000 for her part in translating and after she was jilted, she vainly demanded payment. In a letter she had written, made public after her death, Altantuya said she regretted attempting to "blackmail" Razak.
French lawyers are investigating whether some of the €114 million was kicked back to French or Malaysian politicians
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Today, run by self-exiled blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin yesterday announced a team-up with renowned whistleblower website WikiLeaks, led by Julian Assange.
Raja Petra's controversial blog has rocked Malaysian politics since its creation in August 2004, exposing everything from corrupt low-ranked civil servants to the alleged involvement of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor in the Altantuya Shariibuu murder case in November 2006.
His posts had even resulted in him being arrested under the draconian Internal Security Act in September 2008.
Just recently, Raja Petra granted an interview to the Umno-owned TV3, urging authorities to investigate a statutory declaration claiming that Rosmah had been personally involved in the brutal murder of Altantuya.
WikiLeaks, launched in 2006, made world headlines due to its exposure of US documents related to the conflicts in both Iran and Afghanistan.
The website specialises in the publication of private, secret, and classified information from anonymous news sources, news leaks and whistle-blowers.
Assange who in 2009 was awarded Amnesty International's Media Award, appealed against a decision by UK courts to have him extradited to Sweden to face charges related to sex crimes, which he had denied committing.
As a result, he must report to the police station in Beccles, Suffolk, on a daily basis.
The news of the MoU was carried on Malaysia Today itself, accompanied by photographs of a smiling Raja Petra and Assange shaking hands over the Memorandum of Understanding.

Superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya addressing the media persons outside the hospital where the actor is undergoing treatment in Chennai. (PTI Photo)
It has been said that India breeds more movie yarns off the screen than on it. From captive, loyal fan cliques to the rare unaffected minuscule, very few Indians can truly say they couldn't care less about cinema, or about actors. Some are iconic. Among them, Rajnikanth is singularly so.
No surprises therefore that when he took ill recently, his fans did more than just wish him well. Detailed rituals performed in accordance with scripture and the actor's religious mooring made the headlines. This promises to be just the beginning, unless he is seen and heard about soon.
Rajnikanth is both, a deviant exponent of the reel-real life interplay, and a popular cultural manifestation. In the former instance, many claim that he is known most (and how!) for his highly stylized, inimitable portrayals, especially his punch-lines. His overreaching, fantastical histrionics are a true parallel to "suspension of disbelief". Be itMuthu, Sivaji or the more recent Enthiran, he paints for his audience, a canvass that surpasses expectation and confounds logic. Satirically, his jokes are most readily available, popularly distributed and relentlessly aped. Even the atypical audience is aware of them; and through them, of him!
Yet, when it comes to a persistent, pervasive and diverse audience base, few can make claim to the kind of popularity that this actor has seen. From the south Indian sub-continent to Japan to Germany, he has been deified by his fans. Notably, he is known for his humility (not just humble beginning) as ubiquitously as he is known for his dialogue delivery. Maybe, that's where his fans reward merit.
We are quick in crowning, quirky in owning, capricious in disowning. So, if someone stays steadily on top recall for as long as he has, it speaks, only of him. When he does get better, there'll probably be another story to tell…when he gets better, not if. To those who are in a temple right now, eating rice off the floor, 'if' is not an option. Especially, when it's about Rajnikanth.
Like all larger than life Indian actors, Rajnikanth doesn't act with other actors at all. He pretty much acts all by himself in a movie. This – along with the fact that the legend has slowed down his movie projects with age – makes a Rajni movie an event.
In the deliriously entertaining, all crazyiness on deck filmEndhiran: The Robot, director Shankar acknowledges this fact by making Rajni face off against two of his own selves. He throws in Aishwarya Rai for good measure but more on that later.
A word on the magic of Rajni. I used to be a big fan of the Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan before said filmmaker became a bit mired in his own lasciviousness. Egoyan used to often show his scenes out of time sequence in his movies. Thus when you saw a scene, you didn't know what was going on until you got to a later scene. Subsequently the brilliant American filmmaker Steven Soderbergh miniaturized this technique in one of my favorite movies - Limey - by showing parts of the same scene out of time sequence.
I saw Robot in Tamil (and I recommend everyone do the same) and the English subtitles would show up a good 30 seconds to a minute after the words were spoken. Thus often I couldn't tell what was going on in a scene until the scene that came after. Robot ended up achieving the same effect effortlessly that awesome filmmakers struggled all their lives to perfect.Such is the brilliance of Rajni that everything – even unintentionally – becomes brilliant around him.
Rajni is introduced in this movie with individually punched out characters that spell "S-U-P-E-R-S-T-A-R-R-A-J-N-I" in the opening credits. This is a great time to get into the movie because its usually accompanied by some of the best hooting. Rajni I plays a geeky professor who has no qualms keeping his super hot girlfriend Aishwarya on hold while he hangs out with two dweebs and a waiter robot called R2. Rajni I wears a wig full of plumes and often unleashes the charming Rajni megawatt smile.Rajni II is the robot Rajni I creates - a stoic, strait-laced machine that charms Rajni I's girlfriend Aishwarya. But, in a rather beaten storyline, Rajni II is unable to decipher human sabhyataa. To address this limitation Rajni I pumps Rajni II full of hormones. Inexplicably, lightning strikes
Rajni II. Rajni II falls in love with Aishwarya. He flunks Rajni I's effort to pimp him out to the military. Rajni I chops Rajni II up.If you aren't still with me, you aren't a Rajni fan. You should leave now.
Later Rajni II is rescued by Danny Denzongpa and enhanced with a destructor chip. This gives rise to Rajni III – a smirking, badass robot with a runaway swish of white through his hair and lightning bolt sideburns. Rajnikanth clearly enjoys this third reincarnation the most, giving his character a delicious misguided sleaziness.Rajni III then goes berserk and in homage to his superstar self, creates Rajni III through Rajni CX. These other Rajni's are clearly children of a lesser Rajni because they aren't as smart as Rajni III. But they have tremendous magnetic bodies that form all kinds of awesome shapes in tandem. They all then buckle down to the business of harassing the living daylights out of Aishwarya.
In the final half hour of the movie, director Shankar pulls out some nascent fascination for Godzilla flicks (not to mention a fondness for the Mummy franchise) and shapes his army of Rajni's into all kinds of funky shapes: a ball, a drill, snakes, a massive giant. This part of the movie made my jaw drop – with its sheer ambition and total dedication to taking nuttiness one step further.
Rajni does a great job dilineating his three characters. Operating with an outrageous wardrobe, Aishwarya looks wonderful and brings her trademark sincerity to the role, making everything around her appear even more crazy. In this regard, her casting works. For all its swirling madcapness, Robot is rather cleverly structured. Much like the gold standard for simple storytelling – Baywatch, in which a simple story was an excuse to take you from one set of boobs to another – Robot takes you from one massive Rajni moment to the next. Its the ultimate assertion of storytelling by showcasing your star (a style which Bollywood milked so well in Dabangg). The scenes themselves serve wide swaths of the audience demo. There are dhaasu fight scenes – the best of which is a fight scene in a moving train.
Then there are beheno maate moments. These are mapped out as sequences in which Rajni II goes about pleasing women. He pays attention to a woman when she's talking. He makes her problems his own. He cooks a feast for them. He cleans house. He delivers a baby and saves a mother's life. He does everything Rajni I doesn't.Rajni II – in his newly minted "young adult" phase also spends some time showing smirking adults around him just how smart he really is.Endhiran's greatest trick is that it has a version of Rajni to appeal to all of us: men, women, children, geeks and badasses.Ok, first things first. Rajnikanth in Endhiran has dared to deviate from the formula and storyline his films revolve around. Director Shankar has made Rajnikanth do something he has never done before. Having grown up in Chennai fed on a regular diet of the superstar's movies, I just couldn't digest the fact that Rajni had one of the most unassuming entrances in a film. His film's Annamalai (1992), Yejaman (1993), Badsha and Muthu (both 1995), Arunachalam (1997), Padayappa (1999), Chandramukhi (2005) and Sivaji (2007) have some of the best entrance scenes of the star. Muthu and Badsha being my personal favourites.Another thing that struck me was the total absence of punch lines and talaivar's (as he is called by crazed fans like me) tricks. If he made coins spin horizontally, and take a chewing gum on rebound in Shivaji, Endhiran has no such things.Endhiran is all about style, packaging, slick editing and mind boggling special effects… and of course Rajni. As my friend put it, it's a Hollywood film in Tamil. The fight sequence in a local train, is something which is unmatched even by Hollywood standards. It will surely take a few more years till the technical wizardry is replicated in India. The car chase where the deviant humanoid (Chitti also Rajni) makes cops drive around most of Chennai is easily on a par or even better than some of the best made even in Hollywood. And of course the climax where Rajni becomes almost all the super hero's to ever appear. In a film where Rajni's enemy is another Rajni, it's only natural that fans get to see more of him. If Chitti has shades of white, grey and black, as Dr Vaseegaran (his creator), Rajni is shown as a man on a mission and an upright citizen. If one Rajni wasn't enough the fade the stars who share screen space, Endhiran gives his fans a double whammy. With a screen presence comparable only to MGR, Rajni pales into insignificance, stars like Aishwarya and Danny Denzongpa. No film of the superstar is complete without him showing shades of black. Beginning his career as a villain, he is also probably one of the best actor in negative role. As Chitti, he gives his fan the shade of an obsessed lover, criminal and a killing machine. In Badsha and Mani Rathnam's Talapathi (1991) he is Robbinhoodisque in his acts but he also played as a full fledged villain as the inimitable Alex Pandian in Moondru Mugam (1982) and Apoorva Raagangal (1975).For talaivar fans like me, it's mandatory to watch the film once more followed by many more times till the next film releases. With an unblemished record for nearly 10 years of watching first day first show, it was surely an experience to watch the star in action.Endhiran is a must watch and it's for family consumption. The arms distance romance scenes with Aishwarya and bloodless action scenes won't make mummy, papas cringe. I personally think Endhiran is all set to be Rajni's biggest grosser ever. The best place to go this weekend is the hall in the neighbourhood to catch up on Endhiran.

But all this may soon change. No more guesswork, no need to consult fortune tellers or rely on the doctor's prediction. In a few months, a website will be launched that allows healthcare professionals to input patients medical data, and enable them to predict fairly accurately how long their patients will live. The jury is still out on whether to make the information available only to healthcare professionals, or to anyone who wants to know.
Would you want to know your expiry date? Not everyone may be that curious. We want to know, yet we hesitate out of fear of hearing bad news. What good would knowing do anyway?
Weighing the pros and cons, I'd rather not know if I would live to 100, or die within the next few years. I would sooner trust the Almighty than some geriatric calculator to make that all-important pronouncement.
What about you? Would you want to know?

Desi appeals to EsteemedReaders here to read this post in conjunction with my post Yesterday, when all our troubles -- foremost for Opposition Leader DS Anwar Ibrahum -- seemed here to stay. NegaraKu seems to be nailed in by a BN-UMNO regime in a most perilous situation, and the only out for most of Malayisans is to replace the past-its-shelf-life UMNO regime. It's indeed now in the hands of the Voters cometh the 13th General Elections. ~~ YL, Desi
A human rights group accuses the government of pulling the strings behind Anwar Ibrahim's Sodomy II prima facie ruling.
KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court's prima facie case against Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is a sign of the government meddling with the judiciary, alleged a human rights group.
Suaram coordinator Hasbeemasputra Abu Bakar accused the judiciary of bowing to government leaders through their attacks on Anwar.
"The courts have become mere puppets to the government of the day, succumbing to political pressures and making biased political decisions instead of legal decisions based on justice and fair play," he said in a statement.
Hasbeemasputra said this was reflected in trial judge Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah's actions, who ordered Anwar to enter his defence in the Sodomy II case on Monday.
The Suaram coordinator also slammed Zabidin for "prejudging" the case through his comments regarding Anwar's former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
"It is laughable that the trial judge goes out of his way to say that Saiful is a 'credible and truthful witness' when the said witness has given contradictory statements and was even romantically involved with one of the prosecutors in the case," he said.
Anwar, was charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code with sodomising Saiful, at the Desa Damansara condominium here on June 26, 2008.
If found guilty, the opposition leader could face a jail term of not less than five years and a maximum of 20 years.
Previously, Anwar had said that he was not surprised by Zabidin's ruling, and that the latter had already "made up his mind."
Hasbeemasputra agreed with this sentiment, and attacked the trial judge for inconsistencies throughout the case.
He said that Zabidin had initially rejected the DNA samples obtained from the lock-up where Anwar was detained, only to accept it later on.
The defence's cross-examination of the doctors who inspected Saiful was also a cause of concern for Suaram.
"(The defence was) unable to refer to notes that the doctors made during the medical examination of Saiful, since access to the notes will also have to be granted to the defence," he said.
Hasbeemasputra said that the contradictions in the doctors' testimonies and the denied access of evidence to Anwar's defence team also hampered the latter's due process.
"Suaram feels that the judge, in establishing that there is prima facie, has not taken into account these factors," he said.
The High Court has fixed June 6 to 30 to hear Anwar's defence.

No action can be taken against Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali over his warnings of violence against the Christian community as such remarks are now a Malaysian norm, said de facto law minister Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz.
No matter how unsettling such remarks are, Malaysians therefore "need to live" and "be mature" in dealing with such characters as Ibrahim and his ilk since social platforms and media such as Twitter and blogs have allowed statements such as Ibrahim's to proliferate beyond the government's ability to proscribe – or punish – them, he added.
"It's difficult to take action against Ibrahim now with the existence of Twitter and blogs … because we cannot be selective in our prosecution," he told Malaysiakini when contacted today.
Ibrahim had based his remarks on an Utusan Malaysia report earlier this month that alleged Christian leaders were conspiring to change the federal constitution in order to install a Christian as a prime minister and turn the Muslim-majority country into a Christian state.
Nazri said users of on micro-blogging site Twitter and bloggers have been guilty of making statements deemed sensitive to one or other group.
"If I take action now (against Ibrahim), I have to move on all (of such) blogs and those (issuing similar remarks) on Twitter," said Nazri.
That, he added, will be a difficult task as the government would then be accused of stifling freedom of speech.
"The courts will be full of prosecutions against (persons accused of making) seditious statements," he reasoned.
He stressed the mammoth prospect of such a task presently compared to a few years ago when those propagating extremism and those uttering racial insinuations were hauled to court and punished.
Nazri: Live with it
Mohd Nazri had previously said that the government should "get rid" of the right-wing group, as it had acted in an extreme manner.
His comments came at a time when Perkasa had acted as a major stumbling block to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's economic reform efforts, as the group had decisively opposed the PM's proposal to gradually lift affirmative action policies to encourage open competition.
Mohd Nazri had then stressed that action can be taken if leaders of such groups uttered seditious remark.
In contrast, Nazri now says, "The state of the country is now beyond this… we have to live with it now.".
Religious leaders, critics and politicians from both sides of the fence have been mounting pressure on the government to act against Umno-linked Utusan Malaysia for its reckless reports on the alleged 'Christian conspiracy'.
Utusan front-paged an article titled 'Kristian Agama Rasmi?' (Christianity the official religion?) that cited unsubstantiated allegations on two pro-Umno blogs that Christian pastors were supposedly hatching a conspiracy to take over the country, abolish Islam as the religion of the federation and install a Christian prime minister.
The parties alleged to be involved have vehemently denied the reports and had lodged police reports against the Malay daily, and Utusan as well as the bloggers are presently under police investigation.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak's recent call for moderates of all religions to come together cannot be taken seriously unless he takes swift action against Perkasa for its extremist actions, Teresa Kok said today.
The Selangor DAP chairman charged that the Prime Minister's inaction against the Malay rights group would only encourage it to continue issuing unwarranted threats against Christians in Malaysia.
"Yesterday, Najib delivered a mockery of a speech at Oxford University where he called upon the world community to embrace moderation as the best course of action. Najib's words have no credibility because he has failed to match them with credible action. If Najib truly believes in moderation, he would have denounced Ibrahim Ali's remarks outright and stated that such threats have no place in his so-called 1 Malaysia," she said in a statement today.
Najib had, during a speech at the Islamic Centre of the prestigious Oxford University in Britain, said that it was not enough to go after individuals or organisations to address global violence as a lasting solution could only be achieved by seeking out root causes.
"Our choice is clear. Come together in action for a future of justice, freedom, hope, compassion and goodwill for our children or it will be replaced by a future of injustice, tyranny, hopelessness, cruelty and hate. Because the real divide is not between East and West or between the developed and developing worlds or even between Muslims and non-Muslims. It is between moderates and extremists of all religions," Najib said in a speech on the "Coalition of Moderates and Inter-Civilisational Understanding" on Monday.
In response, Kok accused Najib as well as other Umno leaders of "making excuses" for Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali's "hate and fear-mongering," citing statements made by Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and law minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.
Utusan Malaysia, a Malay daily owned by Umno, alleged that church leaders were hatching a plot with the DAP to turn Malaysia into a Christian state and install a Christian prime minister.
Christian leaders and DAP members have denied the reports which have sparked protests but the Home Ministry has only slapped Utusan Malaysia with a warning letter for publishing the unsubstantiated report.
Najib was forced to meet with church leaders to clear the air but Umno vice president and Home Minister Hishammuddin later said that there was "some basis" to the reports.
Malays rights group Perkasa also threatened Christians nationwide that it would wage a crusade or holy war should the church proceed with the alleged agenda to usurp Islam.
Similarly Nazri has said that no action would be taken against Perkasa or Ibrahim for "threatening" Christians.
"I urge Najib, Nazri and Hishammuddin to stop allowing religious and racial extremism to persist in Malaysia, stop endangering the lives of Malaysians and take immediate action against Ibrahim Ali by charging him for criminal intimidation under clause 506 of the Penal Code," said the Seputeh MP.

The DAP today invited all "non-Umno" members in Barisan Nasional (BN) to cast aside their political beliefs and unite with their opposition foes to fight one common enemy together — Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, in lambasting the government's failure to reprimand the Perkasa president for waging a crusade against the Christians, said it was time for all Malaysians to unite against extremism, regardless of their political beliefs.
"Only if we cleanse hatred from our heart and fill our soul with love can we find peace, balance and harmony with our lives and with each other. For this reason, DAP calls on all Malaysians to stand up for peace and harmony by uniting against extremists and harmony that wants to see Malaysia burn with hatred and violence. DAP is willing to work with all Malaysians, including non-Umno component members in BN, to oppose this crusade and demand action against Utusan Malaysia and Ibrahim Ali's reckless opportunism and irresponsible adventurism," he said in his Wesak Day message today.
Lim claimed Malaysians were outraged at the Home Ministry's inaction against both Ibrahim for his threat and the daily for recently publishing allegations of a plot between DAP and Christian leaders to usurp Islam.
He said Utusan Malaysia and Ibrahim should be punished for attempting to cause a strain to the ties between the Malays and the non-Malays.
"Are the non-Malays and non-Muslims an easy target to be blamed and kicked around based on lies just to distract attention from the real problems affecting 27 million Malaysians? Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin signalled the inevitability of price hikes when he announced yesterday that the country could no longer maintain the current subsidies which has doubled this year from RM10.32 billion to RM20.58 billion, with RM18 billion for petroleum-related sectors," he pointed out.
Lim said that instead of addressing the "real issues" faced by Malaysians, the government was allowing Ibrahim and his Perkasa to act as distractions by talking about a crusade against Christians.
"The price hikes and difficult economic livelihood of the people are real issues that must be addressed. Whether in Cabinet or outside Cabinet, the time has come for all Malaysians, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, to stand together to reject hatred unequivocally, abhor extremists and universally condemn violence," he said.
Ibrahim had threatened Christians nationwide during a ceramah in Gombak on Saturday that he would wage a crusade or holy war should they proceed with their agenda to usurp Islam.
The pint-sized Malay rights leader thundered to a ceramah audience of some 200 at Kampung Changkat here that he was willing to take the fall for his statement for the sake of defending the dignity of Islam.
Although he complained of fatigue from his nine ceramah stops from Kelantan to Gombak since Friday night, the Pasir Mas MP also said his blood was boiling with rage and "hairs standing on end" following recent reports of an alleged Christian conspiracy between religious leaders and opposition party politicians.
"In Kelantan, I told the security forces present that if they want to inform Bukit Aman (police) of my declarations to please go ahead. Please mark my words — if any party in Penang, especially the Christian priests who are being backed by the Penang DAP, continues with their agenda which we are already aware of, I would like to offer that if they want to hold a crusade, we can too," he charged.
Ibrahim was referring to the recent row over a controversial newspaper report in Utusan Malaysia entitled "Kristian Agam Rasmi?" (Christianity the official religion?) where it was alleged that DAP leaders and Christian priests are conspiring to take over Putrajaya, abolish Islam as the religion of the federation and install a Christian prime minister.
Christian leaders and DAP members have denied the reports and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was even forced to host a meeting with leading religious figures to solve the issue but Ibrahim insisted on Saturday that the report is true.
Utusan Malaysia's Christian conspiracy report is presently under police investigation.

What Nazri Aziz really means, is that if Perkasa fools like Ibrahim 'Jihad War' Ali must be rounded up, then to be fair plenty UMNOpocrites will have to be rounded up too!
And even more recently:
And if I get ISAed over this post, then you'll know for sure that Nazri is talking outright double-standard fibs above, right?

Judi halal pulak ye, wahai Berahim?

COMMENT: The modern media melodrama typically involves the courtroom: from Jacob Zuma's indictment for rape, to Julian Assange's sex-crime troubles, to Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy arraignments, the dramatic beginning of a trial simultaneously heightens and hides issues in the backdrop.
The issue of the morality of the arraigned is raised against a background where there is not much that can be said about that aspect of the lives of people who stand to gain if their target is found wanting on that score.
And hidden by the high-octane drama is the question of the fragility of standards of civilised conduct in times when powers-that-be are in a state of panic over a threat to their position.
More than in the first edition a decade and more ago, Anwar's second encounter with sodomy charges frames those issues in sharper relief.
A decision tomorrow by High Court judge Mohd Zabidin Mohd Diah in Sodomy II not to ask Anwar to enter his defence would have twice the restorative effect on judicial independence and impartiality that the appellate courts had in overturning the infamous Ayer Molek decision a couple of years ago.
In the latter case, a High Court howler in the mid-1990s was rectified on appeal more than a decade later. The eventual outcome in the Ayer Molek case, as in Sodomy I when Anwar was freed in 2004 on appeal after spending some years in jail, gives hope that though the deliberative wheels of justice may grind painfully slowly, the possibility of ultimate vindication cannot be written off.
Presence of other DNA ignored
In Sodomy II, the denial to the defence of access to medical and other reports was a deprivation of the defendant's right of due process.
Strenuous clamour by the defence at successive stages of this deprivation was met by the prosecution's argument, upheld by the judge that deprivation would not be fatal to the case against the defendant.
This led to the ludicrous stage when doctors who had examined the accuser could not refer to notes – while under cross-examination by defence lawyers – that they had made during examination because that would have meant that access to the notes would have to be granted to the defence.
As if that peculiarity was not enough, the DNA specialist who testified in the trial was unconcerned with the presence of other DNA in the anal area of the accused; she was only concerned with one person's DNA – that of 'Male Y', which the specialist confirmed matched that of the accused.
The list of peculiarities that this case sported endangers the modern conception of law which is that justice is whatever result just procedures have led to.
From that standpoint, justice in Sodomy II would better be served if the accused is not asked to enter his defence.
Andrew Cuomo (KWOH'-moh) has been sworn into office as New York's 56th governor in a private ceremony.
His father, former Gov. Mario Cuomo, attended the Friday night event at the governor's mansion in Albany along with his daughters and his girlfriend, Food Channel star Sandra Lee. The Friday night swearing-in was to become effective at midnight.
Cuomo plans to work Saturday, beginning with a morning cabinet meeting. A short public swearing-in is scheduled for the Democrat's first day on the job, a gesture designed to signal his resolve to tackle New York's historic fiscal and ethical crises.

This post, however, will buck the trend and once again delve on the topic of corruption. Several friends, even colleagues, tell me that there is a growing fatigue factor as far as corruption as a topic is concerned. Even if true, we should not get discouraged from raising the issue. If anything, the time to go after the corrupt even more strongly is now. Corruption, as an issue that is eating into this nation, is occupying the public's mind like never before. This is the time when, if pushed, the right kind of laws to control this menace would go through, as the political parties, all of them, would think twice before opposing any such legislation fearing a public backlash. Giving in to what some call the 'fatigue' factor now is exactly what the corrupt want – benefit from the notoriously short public memory and get back to their normal task of milking the nation.

One such crucial evidence was supposed to be the doctor from Pusrawi's medical examination of Saiful at 2.00pm on Saturday, 28 June 2008. But then the doctor said that he had examined Saiful and found no evidence of sodomy. This report has since surfaced and the doctor has gone missing so, now, there is no way they can use this evidence.
The next evidence was supposed to be the second medical examination done at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) at 4.00pm on Saturday, 28 June 2008. But then the outpatient department of the HKL was closed at 4.00pm on Saturday, 28 June 2008. So how could a second medical examination have been done? Yes, that's right. No second medical examination was done and the doctors at the HKL refuse to doctor a medical report to say that the second medical examination had been done, when none had been done, or to say that they did find evidence of sodomy, when they did not.
Since none of the doctors at Pusrawi or HKL are cooperating with the police, the last piece of 'evidence' will have to be Saiful's underwear. Okay, Saiful's underwear does not really have Anwar's semen stains on it. But this is a small matter. As long as someone from the Chemistry Department is prepared to testify that they did examine Saiful's underwear and they did find Anwar's semen stains on it, then that would be good enough. They will be able to build their case against Anwar and charge him for sodomy based on this 'evidence' from the Chemistry Department.
Scientists in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence, undermining the credibility of what has been considered the gold standard of proof in criminal cases.
The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person.
"You can just engineer a crime scene," said Dan Frumkin, lead author of the paper, which has been published online by the journal Forensic Science International: Genetics. "Any biology undergraduate could perform this."
Dr. Frumkin is a founder of Nucleix, a company based in Tel Aviv that has developed a test to distinguish real DNA samples from fake ones that it hopes to sell to forensics laboratories.
The planting of fabricated DNA evidence at a crime scene is only one implication of the findings. A potential invasion of personal privacy is another.
Using some of the same techniques, it may be possible to scavenge anyone's DNA from a discarded drinking cup or cigarette butt and turn it into a saliva sample that could be submitted to a genetic testing company that measures ancestry or the risk of getting various diseases. Celebrities might have to fear "genetic paparazzi," said Gail H. Javitt of the Genetics and Public Policy Center at Johns Hopkins University.
Tania Simoncelli, science adviser to the American Civil Liberties Union, said the findings were worrisome.
"DNA is a lot easier to plant at a crime scene than fingerprints," she said. "We're creating a criminal justice system that is increasingly relying on this technology."
John M. Butler, leader of the human identity testing project at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, said he was "impressed at how well they were able to fabricate the fake DNA profiles." However, he added, "I think your average criminal wouldn't be able to do something like that."
The scientists fabricated DNA samples two ways. One required a real, if tiny, DNA sample, perhaps from a strand of hair or drinking cup. They amplified the tiny sample into a large quantity of DNA using a standard technique called whole genome amplification.
Of course, a drinking cup or piece of hair might itself be left at a crime scene to frame someone, but blood or saliva may be more believable.
The authors of the paper took blood from a woman and centrifuged it to remove the white cells, which contain DNA. To the remaining red cells they added DNA that had been amplified from a man's hair.
Since red cells do not contain DNA, all of the genetic material in the blood sample was from the man. The authors sent it to a leading American forensics laboratory, which analyzed it as if it were a normal sample of a man's blood.
The other technique relied on DNA profiles, stored in law enforcement databases as a series of numbers and letters corresponding to variations at 13 spots in a person's genome.
From a pooled sample of many people's DNA, the scientists cloned tiny DNA snippets representing the common variants at each spot, creating a library of such snippets. To prepare a DNA sample matching any profile, they just mixed the proper snippets together. They said that a library of 425 different DNA snippets would be enough to cover every conceivable profile.
Nucleix's test to tell if a sample has been fabricated relies on the fact that amplified DNA — which would be used in either deception — is not methylated, meaning it lacks certain molecules that are attached to the DNA at specific points, usually to inactivate genes.
No, the Chemistry Department has NOT come out with their report yet. There is no report from the Chemistry Department that says they found Anwar's semen stains on Saiful's underwear. This is because they first of all need Anwar's specimen so that they can plant it on the underwear and so that the Chemistry Department can then 'discover' it.
But Anwar is being bloody silly. He is being extremely pigheaded and stubborn. He refuses to hand over his specimen. How can they plant Anwar's semen on Saiful's underwear when Anwar refuses to let them take his specimen? The Chemistry Department can't prepare its report saying that it found Anwar's semen on Saiful's underwear until the police are able to plant it there. But Anwar does not want to voluntarily hand over his specimen so this plan is being upset a bit.
But never mind. As soon as Parliament convenes later this month they will rush through a new law that will make it mandatory for you to hand over your specimen if the police demands that you do so. Refusing to hand over your specimen when the police demand you do so will soon become a crime and you can be sent to jail. They will try to pass this law before Merdeka Day of 31 August 2008 and they will try to backdate the law and make it retrospective so that any 'crime' committed before the passing of this law will also be covered.
Soon they will get Anwar once the DNA Act becomes law and Anwar can no longer refuse to hand over his specimen. Then, once they have obtained Anwar's specimen, the Chemistry Department will be able to 'discover' it on Saiful's underwear. Then they will be able to arrest and charge Anwar. And, who knows, they might even be able to convict him as well.
Yes, this Shafee Abdullah the sodomologist is good. He has names, charts, notes, scribbling and etchings all over his whiteboard in the meeting room of his law firm. This meeting room has been the special police operations centre for quite a while now. It was set up long before the alleged sodomy crime took place on 26 June 2008. It was set up not to solve the sodomy crime. It was set up to create the crime.
But, thus far, they lack one very crucial piece of evidence. They lack Anwar's specimen that they need to plant on Saiful's underwear. But they will get it as soon as the new DNA Act becomes law and they can use this law to force Anwar to hand over his specimen. Then Anwar is finished and they can close down the special police operations centre in the meeting room of Umno lawyer Shafee Abdullah's law firm and once again use this meeting room for fixing legal cases.

Pak Lah has not only been sleeping on his job as PM during the last 5 years, he is also very deaf to what the citizens had been crying-out loudly that his AG "practises selective prosecution".
This serious perception is not only common local-coffee-shop topic but also among foreigners. So if Pak Lah really has ears, he should have heard this talk and should have taken remedial action instead of allowing him to "bermaharajalela" for too long.
So now Pak Lah, you are paying partly for his wrong-doings.

Since 15th August 2010, Malaysia Today published nine reports on how Tajudin Ramli plundered MAS and reduced this airline company from a surplus of more than RM600 million to a deficit in excess of RM8 billion.Malaysia Today also showed documents to not only prove this but also to prove that there was collusion between the AG Chambers, MACC and PRDM to sweep this entire episode under the carpet. But that is not the whole story. Today, we are going to show you how else MAS was plundered.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Parts 1 to 9 of this series of articles (you can read them in the links below) showed how Tajuddin Ramli plundered MAS with such impunity. There were attempts by the PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) and the AG Chambers — before Ramli Yusuff became the Director of the Commercial Crimes Investigations Department — to cover up Tajudin's wrongdoings.
Ramli Yusuff, however, reopened the investigation and, together with the MAS Directors, went to meet Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to brief him on the situation. Ramli Yusuff then prepared a detail report identifying how MAS was scammed. He also recommended that Tajudin Ramli be charged for various offences.
This report was submitted to Annuar Zaini, an Abdullah Badawi nominee who sits as Bernama Chairman and a MAS Board member. Annuar Zaini thus had access to all things happening in MAS.
Tajudin Ramli, however, was not the only one who plundered MAS. Abdullah Badawi himself had done the same thing back in 2002 when he was still only the Deputy Prime Minister. And what Abdullah Badawi did was: he forced MAS to give the right of privatising MAS Catering Sdn Bhd to his family company, Fahim Capital Sdn Bhd.
It appears like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad knew this but he nevertheless allowed it to happen, probably so that he had something to hold against Abdullah Badawi in case the latter reneged on his promises to the former. Maybe Mahathir thought that this would be his trump card against Abdullah Badawi when the former relinquishes power to the latter in 2003.
But, regardless of all that, Abdullah Badawi stilled betrayed Mahathir. And he also betrayed Ramli Yusuff when he (Ramli), instead of Tajuddin Ramli, ended up in the dock.
Why did Abdullah Badawi allow them to go for Ramli Yusuff instead of going for Tajudin Ramli? The reason is simple enough as illustrated by the two letters below dated 30th January 2002 and 7th March 2002.
Initially, it was quite perplexing as to why the head of the CCID was arrested and charged instead of the person he was pursuing, Tajudin Ramli. But when you see that the Prime Minister himself also had his hands in the MAS cash-box then it begins to make sense.
If the shit in MAS were to hit the fan then some of this shit would splash onto the Prime Minister. So better this shit remains buried and those who were trying to bring it to the surface get sent to jail on fabricated charges — that the courts have since ruled unfounded. And Abdullah Badawi demanded that he be made the MAS adviser in 2009 as part of his 'retirement package' so that he can continue to keep the shit hidden.
Did the court not acquit Ramli Yusuff without his defence being called? And did the judge not chide the IGP, Musa Hassan, for this unreliable and untruthful testimony? What more proof do you need that Ramli Yusuff is a victim of persecution and that one of the reasons for this is his relentless pursuit of Tajudin Ramli.
And, to add icing to the cake, they also went for the lawyer for MAS, Rosli Dahlan. They allege that he is an accomplice to Ramli Yusuff. But the court has ruled that Ramli Yusuff did not commit a crime. Can Rosli now still be found guilty of being an accomplice to a crime that the court says never happened?
Let's wait and see what happens because Rosli Dahlan's trial will be decided very soon, about ten days more to be exact (6th-8th September 2010).
Did not Malaysia Today say a couple of years ago that 'all roads lead to Putrajaya'? And some had the cheek to say that Malaysia Today was being seditious and malicious. Yes, as Mukhriz Mahathir said, only 40% of whatMalaysia Today publishes is true. Well, there are two letters below. Which 60% of these two letters are false?
Over to you, Mukhriz. Or are you going to happily allow this one to pass so that you can use it against Khairy Jamaluddin in the next round of your contest for the Umno Youth leadership?
