Today the Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar rushed to make a statement that the ' Datuk T ' sex video is allegedly authentic. This announcement in no way proves that Opposition leader Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the person appearing in the sex video. From the very first instance, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stated categorically and unambiguously that he is not the person in the sex video. The issue of the authenticity of the video is a red herring, and a politically motivated attempt at confusing the issue so as to smear and tarnish Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim's reputation.
What is of real public concern is why the police and A-G's Chambers have yet to institute criminal proceedings against the three persons who have publicly confessed to being guilty of possessing and publicly exhibiting the obscene video which are offences under s.292 Penal Code and s.5 Film Censorship Act 2002. Why the special treatment meted out to these particular offenders? Unusually, the IGP made his announcement on the aspect of the authenticity of the video despite admitting also that the probe on the sex video is not yet complete. We call upon the IGP not to dance to the tune of the BN and to carry out police investigations fairly, impartially and professionally. We call upon the IGP and AG to stop the delaying tactics and to take action against the real criminals in the sex video fiasco immediately.

Well, at least according to an anonymous commenter in this blog, the old dog even called on Bn MPs to enjoy the screening of Vijandran's sex videos...wah lah weh padanlah senyap aje
Amacam Kit Sial? what do you have to say?
How Brother Nuar? your lawyer also said its OK to show sex videos, even encouraged it if it involves a political leader...
anyway, this is the comment I received
DAP national chairman Karpal Singh has been reminded that he once defended the screening of a blue tape and even invited MPs to view it.
Muhammad Firdaus reminded the Bukit Gelugor MP that he had made the statement when exposing the video implicating former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker D.P. Vijandran in 1989.
"Karpal had even called on Barisan Nasional and Opposition reps to watch the sex video together to ascertain if the actor in the video was indeed the then MIC secretary-general," he said, quoting a New Straits Times report on Dec 18, 1989.
The paper also reported Karpal as saying there was a provision in the Film (Censorship) Act 1952 for the Home Minister to allow viewing of obscene materials

Menurut laporan Free Malaysia Today, statistik jenayah kini diisytiharkan sebagai rahsia apabila ia diminta oleh NGO Women's Aid Organisation (WAO). Bukankah pemimpin kita menyatakan kadar jenayah negara sudah jatuh?
Free Malaysia Today
Crime statistics now an official secret?
KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has denied NGO Women's Aid Organisation (WAO) access to the 2010 Crime Statistics booklet prepared by its Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse division.
"We requested for it on March 3, but got a reply that they cannot release these statistics as they have been classified as confidential," said Ivy Josiah, WAO executive director.
"Why should statistics on sexual crimes and crimes against children be 'confidential'? Isn't the request a basic one?"
She said that these statistics were important to learn the trends of sexual crimes in order to help people understand violence against women more clearly.
"We need them to formulate public education messages and policy reform, for example, an important statistic is how many women die in their own homes and whether there are prior domestic violence reports so we can see if there's a link."
She also questioned why Bukit Aman is refusing to release the statistics, when it has done so without a fuss regularly before.
"I have no idea why this is, but I'd speculate that perhaps it may show Malaysia in a bad light. This is why it's important to have a Freedom of Information Act."

Bukit Aman, however, declined to comment except to say that the book has been classified as a secret document under the OSA on the instructions of Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar.
Josiah said the WAO sent a letter of appeal to Bukit Aman today asking them to reconsider their decision not release the information.
"For 25 years, WAO has been helping the people of Malaysia, and the statistics aid us to provide services that are relevant to changing needs over time."
"Statistics also help us understand trends and effects. Without them, we cannot focus our attention on those who need it most and to help combat these crimes."

There really ought to be a war against stupidity. Stupid people are in abundance and there has to be some form of population control, for the sake of our sanity.
Take our idiot deputy Prime Minister, for instance.
Now, for the sake of context, I'll have to run you through this issue we were having some time back regarding a stupid little half-ass novel called 'Interlok'.
This book is being used to brainwash young minds and prime them into acting and thinking in a pre-conditioned way.
A lot of people are oblivious to it (the stupid ones, especially).
But some have woken up and opposed the usage of this blatantly racist, factually incorrect piece of trash (that is not worth the paper it is printed on) as a school textbook.
This is where the village idiot of a minister comes in. He says this is a mateer of national security and that the government is not willing to compromise.
NATIONAL SECURITY, folks!!!!!
I would completely understand if you took a dive under the table or have slammed the closet door shut behind you.
But these days, national security is about silencing people who oppose you. Pure and simple.
Even stupid people can understand that.

KUALA LUMPUR: The price of RON97 petrol will go up by 20 sen to RM2.70 per litre effective midnight tonight, according to the Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM).
PDAM deputy president Datuk Zulkifli Mokti said the increase was due to the rise in the price of crude oil to US$114 per drum this week from US$105.
"This is due to the crisis in the Middle East," he said when contacted by Bernama tonight.
Zulkifli said the price was likely to increase in the future due to the situation in the Middle East which he added could prolong.
On Jan 31, the price of RON97, which was floated according to the prevailing oil market price, rose by 10 sen to RM2.50 per litre.
RON95 petrol remains at RM1.90 per litre. - Bernama

IGP Ismail Omar today confirmed the 'Anwar' sex video is genuine and not doctored. The police may also ask foreign experts to support the findings by a local firm, which said the man in the video 'resembles' the Opposition Leader.
I dont understand why Ismail did not name the local expert (here). However, a few phone calls revealed it was Cyber Security Sdn Bhd under Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
I guess Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein too would be announcing it pretty soon as to quash rumors that the govt had asked the experts to 'confirm' the authenticity of the video.
Cyber Security is a non-profiteering company under MOSTI, with the main task of undertaking research and innovation in cyber-related areas.
Looks like Anwar has to find other avenues to deny such accusations. Where will he go from here?

They're famed as much for their work and talent as they are for their dark traits, then be it theirwomanising behaviour or for being moody, aggresive and tempremental. Yet there's something about such 'bad boys' that makes them insanely likeable to the opposite sex. Check this out. Be it Shane Warne or Salman Khan or Sanjay Dutt or Colin Farrell, they continue to enjoy an ever growing female fan following.
As most experts will tell you, women associate these 'bad' traits with masculinity. From time immemorial, it's been men like warriors, gladiators, soldiers, etc, who've set feminine pulses racing. The intersting thing about bad boy is that they exude a kind of untamed masculinity, confidence and independence that women absolutely dig. And just like a woman's feminine charms turn a man on, this overt masculinity is almost like a natural aphrodisiac for the ladies.
"Some women love men with unconventional traits. Not only do these traits make them attractive, it also makes them more sexually appealing. Women get the feeling that these 'macho' men can satisfy them better than the usual, run-of-the-mill kind of men will be able to," explains clinical psychologist Seema Hingorrany. According to her, these kind of men give women an adrenaline rush.
"That apart, bad boys are famous and these women find it enjoyable and exciting to be in their company and be known as their friends," Seema adds.
Dr Kanan Khatau Chikhal, clinical and health psychologist says, "Most of these women who fall for these kind of men are intimidated by the outside world. They are shy by nature and are instantly attracted to someone who can take on the world, protect them and take care of them."
The interesting thing about bad boys is that they are a potent mix of confidence, indifference, mystery, intrigue and most importantly, excitement. Nothing they do is conventional or as per the rule book. As for their women, these bad boy knows how to tell her just what she wants to hear.
Seema, however, quickly warns that this fascination is just a passing phase and that as women mature and start thinking of long-term relationships and marriage, stability is the most important quality they look for.
Here are seven reasons why girls love bad boys:
They are confident
They are indifferent
They are exciting and adventurous
They are challenging and mysterious
They are very masculine
They give women a feeling of power
They know how to talk to women
In fact, the photographer tells news that, if he had the opportunity again, he would not have taken the pictures in the first place. "There was a girl on our floor that, um, apparently she been on higher floors and her friends had told her about it" he explains to reporters this week. "So she came down [to our floor]. She knocked on our doors. We all ran across the hall." The photographer said that "there was 10-15 of us [watching it live] … a little of shocked …we thought it was funny …" But he pulled out his DSLR camera to document the incident with pictures for other people on the floor that missed the couple.
The photographer, who has refused to be identified, took the nearly two dozen pictures and put them on a private, password protected account on Photobucket "I put them on photobucket, it was meant for the people of our floor … I originally put them private." But by Saturday, the pictures were all over the internet, added toTwitter and Facebook accounts. "Somehow, someone from our floor shared the pictures with someone else. Those pictures got downloaded, put on a different website, and they were sent out to anyone without a password."
Now the photographer feels guilt about taking the pictures. He tells reporters that the couple "had [... some] right of privacy …they were in public .. but they still deserved some privacy. They were 18 … they were in public." The photographer says he didn't share the pictures with anyone beyond his floor. "It was not my intention for the pictures to go viral…. I didn't realize how someone that leaks to the internet it gets so explosive. I didn't realized that at the time. I wouldn't do it again. It was unbelievable. My roommates and I were shocked about it."
A top official at the board for fraternities at USC expressed outrage over photos posted online that showed two people having sex on the roof of the school's Waite Phillips Hall. The photos of the male and female went viral after they were posted Saturday night, according to a report in the Daily Trojan, which broke the story. On Monday night, the paper quoted USC Interfraternity Council President Pat Lauer as saying the group was "appalled by the actions associated with the individuals in the pictures, and will work tirelessly to reverse the negative stereotypes such an action has perpetuated." Kappa Sigma campus president Zach Timm told the USC Daily Trojan:
The only thing unbecoming about this whole incident is that anyone is surprised. It is college. You don't have to promote sex. It is going to happen in the dorm rooms, in the parks, in the backseats of a cars, on top of a buildings. Cannot stop the inevitable. And what is this about "conduct unbecoming to a gentleman". He is obviously taken time out of his day to give her what she wanted. I would say he is being pretty gentlemanly. Leave it to the Trojans to to top the Asians in the Library scandal at UCLA. USC brings you naked students having sex on the roof. Denzil J. Suite, USC's associate vice president for student affairs, says he can't say if disciplinary action is pending because that would be a private matter. But he did say this:
Damn, I hope the pussy was worth it because the dude is in so much trouble… But on the bright side the best joke ever as resulted from this incident. If you know about this story then you are probably tired of hearing the joke by now but that is not going to stop me from telling it again… Lets hope that Trojan was wearing a Trojan!
Don't try too hard: When it comes to great sex, be natural. Trying too hard will make the process harder as no matter how hard you try to curb it, you will let your partner know that you are trying too hard. This is especially true for men who think if he doesn't try variety, the girl won't enjoy the sack session. So he might just try to pull off tricks that might actually turn her off, since she would realize he is not really into the act.readmore Sex Scandal Bina Nusantara university in Jakarta vs USC Rooftop Sex Scandal Photos Of Kappa Sigma Fraternity Member Having Relations With Female

A coalition of Christian groups today demanded an apology from Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein for telling Christians to "fair and reasonable" after having "insulted and ridiculed" them.
Coalition of Malaysian Christians spokesman, Richard Klassen from Sabah, stressed that while Christians' rights are protected under the Constitution, restrictions were being imposed on their freedom to practise their faith.
These included limits on the wearing and openly display religious symbols, like the cross; the building of churches; and even what words can be used in a Christian religious context.
"The iron fist drama in insulting and ridiculing Malaysian Christians by defacing the holy bible is tantamount to treason, under Article 11 of the Federal Constitution. The home minister's recent comment demanding the Christians to be 'fair and reasonable' is a further insult to the Malaysian Christians. The bigger question is, 'fair and reasonable' to whom?" he said in a statement today.
The home ministry had previously seized a total of 35,000 Malay language bibles at two ports, Klang and Kuching. Following public outcry over the books' seizures, the ministry then announced they would be released if allowed to be serialised and stamped with a ministry seal.
Before the importers could respond, home ministry officials began applying the serial numbers and seals without seeking express consent, triggering further outrage from the Christian community.
Hishammuddin had defended his ministry officials' action as standard procedure necessary to expedite the books' release.
The Christian importers subsequently denounced the government for the act, which they say is a desecration of their holy book.
With the Sarawak state election around the corner, Putrajaya extended an olive branch, offering to mask the home ministry's stamp and serial number on 35,100 copies with labels stating simply "For Christianity", instead of the previous, more comprehensive disclaimer.
Today, Klassen said that he will lodge a police report tomorrow at the Karamunsing police station in Kota Kinabalu against the home minister and the federal government for the "desecration" of the Alkitab.
The group had demanded action against the home minister and the government over the defacement of Bahasa Malaysia bibles, escalating the religious row ahead of Sarawak elections.
"The Malaysian government must respect our Constitution, particularly Article 11 of the Constitution, failing which the Constitution upheld with high esteemed by Malaysians is worthless," he said.
About one in 10 Malaysians is Christian, but the community makes up nearly half the electorate in Sarawak where the Alkitab issue is expected to become a major focal point during campaigning for the April 16 election.

Civil society groups and other concerned individuals should not be taken in by Education Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's statement that the "Interlok" issue has been resolved.
In fact, not only is it not resolved but compliance will mean that "Interlok" could well be extended from its present Zone 2 (Klang Valley) coverage thereafter to Zone 1, Zone 3 and Zone 4 in the rest of the country.
"Interlok" is a beach head for the Little Napoleons and other Ketuanan bureaucrats to impose their agenda of educational and cultural seppuku on a young captive audience.
Success in imposing "Interlok" will only encourage these ideologues to move further upstream and inject their indoctrination into the syllabus for the younger forms, and eventually in the primary school curriculum.
The History and Moral subjects have already been tampered with. Currently the focus is on language and literature. What will be next?
Muhyiddin's statement that nobody should politicise or exploit the issue by using NGOs is made in wilful ignorance. The fact is these organisations have been in the forefront of the campaign from the outset.
It is not difficult for the minister to determine the chronology of events with regard to the emergence and growth of public (but hardly any political) consciousness, concern and agitation on the book.
A quick glance at news and reports from the websites will show that civil society organisations such as NIAT, Hartal MSM, and the Centre for Policy Initiatives have provided analysis and public feedback for several months now on the unsuitability of "Interlok".
The NGO concern is in sharp contrast to the lack of criticism on the book by public figures. Political parties from both Barisan Nasional and the opposition have been slow or reluctant to discuss the appropriateness of the book as a school text.
While the education minister and his MCA deputy — the career politicians — have been adamant on its retention, why have the educationists and other Education Ministry officials been largely silent?
In NGOs voicing our concerns on key issues affecting our nation, we do not have any political affiliation or political axe to grind. Neither are we racially motivated because Malay and non-Malay, Muslim and non-Muslim groups are equally concerned as to why "Interlok" is being retained when it is clearly in contravention of the Education Ministry and the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka's own guidelines on textbook and literary work.
The Minister should welcome our feedback and seek to engage with us rather than try to intimidate us.
Giving up on the campaign to have the novel discontinued as a compulsory SPM reading is the wrong message to send. Capitulating to the Ministry's insistence will signal that we do not care for our education system to play a positive role in building social cohesion as is implicit in the 1 Malaysia slogan.
NGOs and most particularly the parents should continue with even greater urgency and commitment to have "Interlok" removed from the classroom. The government has might on its side but might does not make it right.

Silver Pages website, launched last month by the Ministry of Health's Agency For Integrated Care (AIC). It's exactly what I've been searching for ever since I turned primary caregiver for my mother. She has dementia and is also recovering from hip surgery. Sure, there are plenty of similar websites offering more or less the same services and resources. But this one is local, with names that are familiar, and places that are accessible.
Silver Pages provides information on major chronic conditions such as dementia, diabetes and stroke, where to seek long-term care for such diseases, and where to purchase home care products ranging from elderly-friendly mobile phones to hospital beds. Each product comes with the list price and the supplier's address.
My favourite page is the Caregiver's Resources. There are links to resources e.g. Tips for Caring for the Elderly, Healthy Eating for Seniors, and Managing Your Stress.
Do check out Silver Pages. If you are a caregiver, you would want to bookmark this website and recommend it to others as well.

I am really sad as a Malaysian to read and see this!
I pray all Sarawakian wake up and kick out the old white man!!
Taken from Malaysiakini
An environmental news website says satellite images of Sarawak it has do not match claims by Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud that 70 percent of the state's forests are intact.
The Google Earth satellite images collected and published by portalMongabay.com show that the forests in Sarawak are much more sparse and criss-crossed with logging tracks compared with that in neighbouring Kalimantan, Indonesia, and in Brunei. According to the website, which has also been cited by Yale University publication environment360 on the same topic, the images were sourced from GeoEye, TerraMetrics, Tele Atlas, Europa Technologies and other satellite feed.
"(The images) show logging roads snaking across Sarawak's forest areas. Forests across international borders are substantially less impacted," it reported. When accessed by Malaysiakini, the publicly available Google Earth application corresponds with Mongabay's assertions.
Only 10 percent of virgin rainforests remain
Taib's government has of late been the target of heated attacks from advocacy groups, which claim that satellite images show that only about 10 percent of Sarawak's virgin rainforests remain. These groups include the Swiss-based Bruno Manser Fund (BMF), which was founded in the memory of environmentalist Bruno Manser, one of the Sarawak government's most vocal critics until he mysteriously disappeared in 2000. In insisting that 70 percent of the forests have not been touched, Taib told the Borneo Post that his government was open to international inspection. This was, however, met with doubts by BMF, which was quoted byMongabay as saying that Taib has consistently refused inspection from the International Tropical Timber Organisation since 1991. Mongabay was founded by mathematician-economist Rhett A Butler, who turned environmentalist after a first-hand experience of a forest razing in Sabah.
The website receives about 1 million hits a month and was named one of Time Magazine's 15 top green websites in its April 2008 edition.

Most of you know that this is a picture of Teoh Baneg Hock as he was found at the base of Plaza Masalam and in this image one can see that the back of the pants have torn and blood is staining his pants while his legs rest at a slightly awkward angle.
The Opposition's theory ranges from "he was impaled by some object and was thrown out of the window when he has died" to "he was thrown out of the window by angry MACC officers".
Apparently the tear on the pants is a huge mystery to those who suspect foul play and they accept this as conclusive evidence that something is not right.
The only person who known for sure what happened that day was TBH himself and whoever, if any, that saw it happen or the murderer(s) himself/themselves>
I was not there and cannot vouch that the MACC was as gentle as a summer breeze when they interviewed TBH but I was curious to learn about suicide and related injuries.
A few weeks ago we finally had a chance to speak to someone who has done a bit of research on suicide injuries and one of the first thing that he learned was that if a person is alive when he or she jumped off a building, our inbuilt survival instinct will kick in and the brain will instruct the body to make every effort to break the fall.
The result is the flailing of limbs that we see in suicide clips, the body is trying to make itself as big as possible to use the air to slow it down and the person committing the suicide doesn't even have to possess any knowledge of aerodynamics for this to happen, this is just part of the basic information that drives our instincts.
When the body tries to break the impact, it will try to land on its feet first and usually it does happen but the angle of the fall will vary and determine the type of injury that the body endures at the end.
A more flat angle of impact will cause massive head trauma, collapse the ribcage and result in multiple breakages or fractures of legs and arms but their displacement will not be too severe as the body meets the ground at pretty much the same time from head to toe. ie the load is spread.
If the instinct is more successful in making sure that the person lands in his or her feet then all the body's mass and the load of impact would be concentrated first on the feet and then it would move up to the knee and the hips before being transferred upwards the spine before affecting the cranium.
Let us look at the mechanics of the impact, as the feet hits the ground the ankle and knee would take huge amounts of compression load but the tibia and femur are two of the strongest bone in the body while the knee is the strongest joint.
Engineers among you will know that compression load is the easiest to resist, which means that if you put a pencil upright it can probably hold up a lot more weight than if you make it span a gap horizontally.
So at this point all that load is transferred up to the hip joints where it meets the large horizontal pelvic bone.
Remember that two femurs are pushing upwards with tremendous force on the hipbone as a result of the impact while the spinal column is now pushing downwards with equally great force as a result of inertia from the fall.
In cases where the body is quite vertical, the force of the impact will snap the pelvis and cause the entire spinal column to continue downwards.
After the pelvis snaps, the legs are no longer anchored to anything solid, the femur are now each socketed to half a pelvic bone that are free to be displaced so they buckle easily.
At the point of impact between the body and the ground, after the legs have buckled, the spinal column may now be positioned lower than it has ever been compared to the pelvis and on contact with the ground the cone-like vestigial tail that is the coccyx can pierce the anus.
Unlike a sack of rice, the body is both elastic and rigid at the same time.
On impact some or all the rigid elements, like bones may have been broken and displaced but the muscles remain intact except where the bones have pierced through and once the force of the fall have compressed the body to the maximum, the elastic muscles and tendons will now try to flex back to its original form.
Although we say the muscles are elastic, they are not like rubber and the body will not bounce up after impact like a ball but it will stretch back out to its original shape after the full force of the impact had been spent and this will result in the twisting and irregular positioning of the skeletal element while still remaining in a recognisable human form.
I can cite you the theory but there are very few experts who have had the chance to examine many bodies after a jump suicide and can conclusively explain this picture but a post mortem will explain some of the injuries of a suicide and I believe Dr Venezis had explained the blood on the pants in pretty much the same way.
As for the snap on the fourth vertebrae (I am not sure which actually, it could be the third), it is again the result of interplay between the impact forces and the rigid and flexible element of the body.
As the spinal column receives the shock of impact, the head also receives it and the laws of physics dictate that it has to deal with the force by either absorbing it or finding a way around the obstacle that is blocking it.
One way of getting around the obstacle is for the head to find a fulcrum and tilt around that point, ie, it snaps the neck and moves sideways and that can explain the broken neck.
Obviously if the angle is just right, the spine could also have pierced the bottom of the skull and lodged itself in the brain, in which case we may see brain squirting out of the ears and nose and mouth but it didn't happen that way.
If we look at the injuries sustained and we try to work backwards, it is plausible that TBH hit the ground almost vertically, not a likely scenario if he was unconscious or dead when he flew off the building.
What that says about MACC interrogation tactics I don't know but I am sick and tired of Anwar fanboys who explains the fall based on television series and brush aside even expert opinions just because it doesn't match their preconception.
I do not know why TBH spent his last moment on earth in free-fall but it does seem unlikely that someone who came to volunteer information and is considered an asset in future prosecution would be killed by the MACC.
If anyone wanted to kill TBH it would be people who have a lot to lose as a result of his testimony and that would be his boss Ean Yong and the DAP.
