Bro, you've lost your way!

I believe you, RPK, have lost your way, and perhaps even your marbles.
By righttruthspeaks
My dear RPK,
It grieves me to write this because I have always had the highest regard for you. I believed that we, Malaysians, needed patriots like you and more like you. We cannot depend forever on illustrious people like Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh etc. We need more Tony Puas, Ronnie Lius, Azmin Alis, Nurul Izzahs etc and of course, for this time a great personality like Anwar Ibrahim to deliver us from evil, the evil of umno-mca-mic-gerakan.
You were, I once felt, a Godsend, to light up the chances of the Opposition to dethrone the evil BN, and consign them, once and for all, to the dustbins of history. That after the next critcal General Elections, Malaysia and Malaysians will no longer live in the dark dark ages of the all-plundering, corrupted, adulterous and even murderous Barisan Nasionalkuku.
Of late I hear people saying things like RPK no longer supports Pakatan Rakyat etc. I read Malaysiakini and Malaysia-Today, and I seem to feel an ominous change in the air.
I believe you, RPK, have lost your way, and perhaps even your marbles. Has exile bitten into your patience, and resolve?
Today, more often than not, your articles seem to criticise the opposition, mainly Pakatan Rakyat more and more. You claim that this is because you want to be fair, but is that a cover you are hiding under? Fairness, yes, but should we be fair to evil??? Should we praise evil even if it seems to be better than good sometimes? Are they sincere or is it just a show?
You, like so many others who have good intentions, can no longer see the bigger picture. And the bigger picture is, GOOD is locked in a battle with EVIL and only one will survive. Evil cannot be given a second chance or any chance at all. It must be destroyed at all costs. Failure will mean more corruption, more adultery, more plunder of the nation's wealth, more ISA, more deaths at the police lock ups, more murders at MACC, more C4 murders ............ Does evil deserve ANY praise, even if you want to be "fair" ?
You cannot see the bigger picture, and you have lost the plot. Fighting evil is the hardest job, and one needs unrelenting resolve. Not all have it. Not all make it. You did a good job but maybe like Chandra Muzaffa, you have gotten tired (he was also seduced by money) and the harsh conditions of exile have become too cold to bear. I don't blame you, but the struggle needs special types of people. I thank you for all you have done; it was a dream but it was a good dream. I don't blame you, but please stop writing to appear fair.
Best regards and take care.

DESIDERATA: I agree with the gist and sirit of the above LETTER, reprised from malaysia-today.net. GO DARE TO COMMENT PLEASE, Terima Kasih, Xie Xie, Thank You! -- YL, Desi

Say no to Uthayakumar's threat

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 02:45 PM PST

Malaysiakini's HRP to Pakatan: Give us 15 parliamentary seats reported that HRP has issued an ultimatum to Pakatan Rakyat to back out and allow the Indian-based party to take on BN in straight fights in 15 parliamentary seats and 38 state seats in the next general election ...

... or else the opposition coalition will find itself in three-corner fights in the constituencies.

Parliamentary seats that HRP demands are:
1. Padang Serai (Incumbent: PKR - N Gobalakrishnan)
2. Batu Kawan (DAP - Ramasamy)
3. Sungei Siput (PSM - Dr D Jeyakumar)
4. Ipoh Barat (DAP - N Kulasegaran)
5. Bagan Datoh (BN - Ahmad Zahid Hamidi)
6. Cameron Highlands (BN - SK Devamany)
7. Hulu Selangor (BN - P Kamalanathan)
8. Kuala Selangor (PAS - Dzulkefy Ahmad)
9. Klang (DAP - Charles Santiago)
10. Kota Raja (PAS - Siti Mariah Mahmud)
11. Rasah (DAP - Anthony Loke)
12. Teluk Kemang (PKR - Kamarul Baharin Abbas)
13. Alor Gajah (BN - Fong Chan Onn)
14. Tebrau (BN - Teng Boon Soon)
15. Lembah Pantai (PKR - Nurul Izzah Anwar)

It's a wonder Uthayakumar didn't ask for the Pakatan leaders to kiss his feet as well.

To give my take on his atrociously avaricious demand let me first provide a brief discussion of what happened in the Australian state of Victoria recently.

In Australia there are two major parties, Labour and the Liberal-National Coalition, the latter known as just the Coalition. In recent times the Greens have emerged as a powerful 3rd Force. There are also a sprinkling of Independents, most being former Coalition members. The major parties realize that the minor or so-called 3rd Force parties (Greens and Independents) have been using their minority strength to extract disproportionate gains.

Senior civil servants have now emerged to complain that because of the Greens and some Independents (who have joined Labour to prevent a 'hung parliament'), they (the civil servants) have far greater workloads than before. It's due to the minor parties insisting on being briefed separately on almost everything. Such briefings have doubled or tripled the workload of the civil servants, distracting them from the important tasks.

So, in the recent state election in Victoria, the Coalition has decided to bite the bullet and avoid 'preferential-ing' the Greens, risking even defeat. The Australian voting system has the 'preferential votes' system where parties can do deals and 'preference' the votes they received (when they are no longer in the running as a potential winner) to another party. Traditionally Labour and the Coalition preference each other last, meaning they won't ever benefit from each other's preferential votes, for obvious reason. So what the Coalition did was unprecedented, preparing to even lose in order to eliminate the Greens. They preferenced Greens last, meaning they were willing to have their main rival, Labour, benefit from their preferential votes. But the Coalition won.

While we don't have a preferential voting system, the time has come for Pakatan to be brave (like the Victorian Coalition Party) and destroy HRP once and for all, even at the loss of a few seats. My reasons are as follows:

(1) Never give in to a threat, or you'll forever be a slave to it. It's better to lose in those threatened 3-corner fights than to have a blackmailing demon riding on your shoulders in each and every election.

(2) Don't trust Uthayakumar as he is likely to jump over to the BN. This man is pompous, hubristic, self centred, and cannot be reasonably dealt with. Pakatan can't and mustn't do business with him.

(3) Giving in to his threat is far worse than fighting in out in 3-corner fights. Surrendering to Uthayakumar means losing those seats even before the election begins.

(4) Thus why cringe and provide Uthayakumar an easy ride.

(5) Most importantly, while HRP may do some damage, it's not as significant as Uthayakumar has pompously presented. In reality the '27 Nov 2007' Hindraf has already disintegrated. For example, Thanethiran has taken his Makkal Sakthi and a host of Indian supporters over to the BN, while Ganabatirau and colleagues stay true with the DAP. Furthermore it's known that most Indians have returned to the BN fold. So, what's really there left of the old Hindraf or HRP, and thus of the real effect of Uthayakumar's threat of 3-corner fights.

Ignore Uthayakumar and HRP. Don't allow him to dictate to Pakatan even if some seats may be lost. Destroy this potential 'Old Man of the Sea'.

Kerajaan PR Perak Jatuh. MMC-GAMUDA Dapat Projek RM40billion

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 12:02 PM PST

(Bernama) - MMC-Gamuda Joint Venture Sdn Bhd, which has been appointed the project delivery partner (PDP) for the Mass Rail Transit (MRT) project, will be allowed to tender for tunneling works.

"The government felt the exception should be made as the PDP is the only local construction company that has experience in major tunneling works such as in the SMART Tunnel project in Kuala Lumpur and the Kaohsiung MRT project in Taiwan," said Prime Minister Najib Razak today.

However, MCC-Gamuda will not be allowed to tender any of the work packages in the massive project, estimated to be around RM40 billion - the largest infrastructure project in Malaysia's history.

Najib was speaking to reporters at the RMAF base in Subang before his departure to Kuala Terengganu for a one-day official visit.

Nevertheless, Najib said the PDP would still have to compete for the work package with other companies and the award would be given on the basis of merit.

The prime minister also said the cabinet has decided that Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated, would be the infrastructure owner of the project while the Land Public Transport Commission would be the supervising authority for the project.

On the appointment of MMC-Gamuda Joint Venture as the project delivery partner, Najib said it was based on the financial standing of the two public listed companies which make up the joint venture and their strong track records and experience in the field of construction and in undertaking huge and complex rail and tunneling projects.

"The PDP will assume the role of a project manager but with the added responsibility of having to deliver the project within an agreed time and cost.

"Any cost over-run and delays in project completion, which are basic common risks in projects, will be borne by the PDP," he added.

Najib said the PDP was not a turnkey contractor and the project would be divided into work packages which would be awarded individually through open tender.

"The government will make the final decision on the awarding of contracts," he added.

KARPAL: Isu Negara Islam Perlu Dibincangkan

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 11:49 AM PST

NOTA EDITOR: Bagi Tulang Besi, isu Karpal berkata "Negara Islam.

Dato Najib dilaporkan berkata:

Sehubungan itu, Najib menambah, Pengerusi DAP Karpal Singh serba salah apabila satu ketika dahulu bahawa "melangkah mayat saya" berhubung matlamat PAS.

Tulang Besi

Karpal memang punya kelas tersendiri

"Ia (Malaysia) sebuah negara sekular.

(The Malaysian Insider)

Why Lee Kuan Yew asked to meet Rosmah!

Defence counsel Sankara Nair revealed that he and another Anwar lawyer, Karpal Singh, have had preliminary discussions over the whistleblower WikiLeaks expose about intelligence agents who believe the opposition leader was "set up" but that he "walked" into a trap.

Now, how much land is actually involved that will finally revert to Singapore as a result of the latest deal? In a Statement made in the Malaysian Parliament on 28 June this year, the Deputy Foreign Minister Kohilan Pilly, said that in total, the KTM owns 434.26 acres (173.7 hectares) of land in Singapore; of which 352.52 acres (141 hectares) was to be held by the Federal Land Commissioner for a period of 999 years while 81.74 acres (32.7 hectares) in perpetuity. The land held in perpetuity were those sold in 1918, while the rest on lease had been purchased by KTM subsequently when the railway services in Singapore expanded and needed more land to support its operations.

Khalid Ibnu Walid Tidak Layak Apa2 Jawatan dalam PAS.

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 06:43 AM PST

KEPIMPINAN ULAMA MENJAMIN KEMENANGAN?

Beliau bukan alim, bukan hafiz, bukan muffassin, bukan pula periwayat hadeeth.

Wallahualam bissawab

Why 1Malaysia = 1Israel

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 06:22 AM PST

Anwar Ibrahim's sneer at Najib's 1Malaysia being based on 1Israel (both conceived by the same consultant APCO) must have hurt badly. But was such a political jibe sufficient reason to bar Anwar from Parliament for an absurd 6 months?

The harsh treatment was nothing more than vindictive punishment. And as if that was not enough harsh bullying, 3 other Pakatan MPs were similarly barred for trivial reasons for the same duration. The Parliamentary Speaker has a lot to answer for his abuse of powers.

Israel has always been a hated entity for Muslim Malaysians, because Muslim Malaysians feel an obligatory if not sympathetic requirement to do so, to stand in solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine. In recent years I have come to share this dislike of Israel though my reasons are more specific than being obligatory or just sympathetic. I have been utterly appalled by Israel's blatant, unmitigated and feral racism.

Yesterday I posted an article from the
Sydney Morning Herald which I titled Neo-Nazis' 1935 'Nuremberg Laws' in Israel to highlight the Israelis' neo-Nazism. Isn't it just ironical that the so-called children of the Holocaust behave towards the Palestiniaans in exactly the same manner as the Nazi oppressors of their European forefathers! (You'll be reading this word 'ironical' one more time in this post, for a good reason)

But don't be surprised by the Israeli* savage and racist barbarism being similar to those demonstrated by the Nazis or white Afrikaans. One only has to open the Old Testament to read about the proclivity of their Israeli-Hebraic forefathers to murder, massacre and commit genocide against non-Hebrew tribes, to seize the latter's land and property and take their wives and daughters as slaves. The Hebrews-Israelites-Judeans-Israelis all shared/share the national characteristic of evil barbarism.

* note that not all Israelis or Jews are racist

Naturally the Judean (Israelis) authors creatively put all those acts of atrocity as approved by God, in the same way as our Biro Tatanegara indoctrinators have creatively written to justify ketuanan Melayu, and the other races as lesser beings, undesirable and unclean for Malaysia – thus we get the mata sepets and kaki botols, and sons of Chinese prostitutes and Indians leashed by their wrist like animals.

Ironically, for a government which tells the Muslim Malays that Israel is to be condemned for its persecutions and oppressions of Palestinians, it behaves in an almost similar manner to the Israelis – I've underlined the word 'almost' because to be fair, Malaysia is not yet as bad as the evil Israeli rightwing government. But we worry for the future.

Nonetheless it's racist and plays on racist issues, to divide the people and conquer their support.

Maybe that's why Anwar's accusations of Najib's 1Malaysia have struck at the very core of Najib's (and UMNO's) heart, because it raises embarrassing questions about the parallel parochial policies of both 1Malaysia and 1Israel.

"If Anwar's allegations are true, then he also has direct links with what he has alleged today. This is not only one individual, but six individuals with connections to Anwar in the International Advisory Council of Apco," said Khairy.

And here is Anwar's reaction…….

Reforms By Pakatan Rakyat

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 05:43 AM PST

It looks like Pakatan Rakyat has finally got its act together and detailed a policy framework.

According to the booklet, PR promised instant reforms within the first 100 days of them taking over Putrajaya.

Among the reforms are:

1. A restructure of institutions including the Elections Commission (EC), the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the Attorney-General's Chambers and the Royal Malaysian Police. During a debate on the policy framework, DAP's Anthony Loke said PR bring the MACC under the purview of Parliament.

2. A repeal of the Internal Security Act (ISA)

3. Instruct Khazanah Berhad, Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and other government bodies to take over highway assets from the concessionaires in order to abolish the toll system.

4. A restructure of the country's subsidies, to lessen subsidies given to the private sector (such as the RM19 billion in gas subsidies given to independent power producers) and transferring these to subsidies for the man on the street.

5. Acknowledging the role and sacrifices of civil servants by studying the current pay schemes and increasing the incentives for teachers by RM500 a month

6. Transferring private water concessions to the government

7. Offering free wireless Internet access to those in urban and semi-urban areas

8. Cancelling Felda Plantations and opening up its farms to second- and third generation Felda settlers.

9. Increasing oil royalty payments to Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Kelantan to 20 per cent from 5 per cent currently.

10. Formation of a Royal Commission to solve the problem of illegal immigrants and citizenship issues in Sabah and Sarawak.

Let's see if they stick to their word, should they make it to Putrajaya in the next round.

Kita berkumpul hari ini untuk membawa Politik Harapan dan Pembebasan (Politics of Hope and Liberation) Pakatan Rakyat untuk menewaskan Politik Ketakutan dan Kehancuran (Politics of Fear and Destruction) Barisan Nasional.

Kita berkumpul hari ini untuk membina Malaysia yang lebih Baik untuk semua Rakyat (a Better Malaysia for all Malaysians) berpaksikan ketuanan atau keluhuran perlembagaan.

Inilah seruan rakyat yang disahut Pakatan…iaitu sebuah Pakatan Rakyat!

Sidang Perwakilan sekalian,

Rakyat Miskin, Kroni BN Kaya

Rakyat Miskin Demokrasi kerana selama 53 tahun kita merdeka, 50 tahun sehingga sekarang kita masih dibawah perisytiharan darurat.

APCO? Atau Rakyat?

Sidang Perwakilan sekalian,

Akta Pemulihan Demokrasi Cabaran Pakatan Kepada BN

Kita Cadangkan….

AKTA INI berasaskan 6 perkara pokok seperti berikut:

  • Membatalkan semua Pengisytiharan Darurat;
  • Memansuhkan semua undang-undang Anti-Demokratik;
  • Menunaikan Perjanjian Kemasukan Sabah dan Sarawak kedalam Malaysia;
  • Menjaminkan Ketelusan Pilihan Raya Umum;
  • Mengembalikan Pilihan Raya Kerajaan Tempatan;
  • Mewujudkan Kebebasan Media;

Oleh Yang Demikian, Pakatan Rakyat akan melancarkan KEMPEN MEMORANDUM SATU JUTA TANDATANGAN RAKYAT MENYOKONG PEMBENTANGAN DWI-PARTISAN AKTA PEMULIHAN DEMOKRASI KEPADA DYMM YANG DI PERTUAN AGONG MALAYSIA demi Agama, Bangsa dan Negara.

Sidang Perwakilan sekalian,

Pejuang Rakyat berani memulihkan demokrasi, manakala Penderhaka Rakyat  terus merosakkan demokrasi.

DiTolak, DiPerkecilkan, DiPersendakan DiPutar Belitkan BN.

Tetapi kita yakin bahawa BN akan menyahut tawaran ini kerana bukankah janji Perdana Menteri bahawa 'Rakyat DiDahulukan'?

Kita tunggu dan lihat samada janji hanya tinggal janji.

Sidang Perwakilan sekalian,

Thomas Jefferson pernah berkata:

Apabila Rakyat Takut kepada Kerajaan, ini adalah satu kezaliman;

Jawapannya Barisan Nasional!

Siapa pula Tidak Takut Berjuang untuk Kembalikan Kuasa Rakyat?

Jawapannya Pakatan Rakyat!

Dengarlah dan ketahuilah bahawa walaupun Barisan Nasional mungkin nampak tersusun, teratur, kuat, gagah, kaya, berkuasa dan tidak dapat dikalahkan;

Sidang Perwakilan sekalian,

Barisan Nasional Merancang tetapi Allah lebih baik Merancang.

Berani kerana Benar.

Ayuh kita Maju Bersama dengan kibaran Panji-Panji Kebenaran!

Kebenaran untuk Rakyat!

Kebenaran demi Rakyat!

Kebenaran dari Pakatan Rakyat!

Sekian.

NOT ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUAL TO ISLAM

Written by Thomas Lee

Over the last few days, a controversy has been brewing over a statement by the Institute of Islamic Understanding (Ikim) that Islam considers that not all religions are equal, and that the concept of pluralism is antithetical to Islam.

The Umno-owned and controlled Utusan Malaysia daily has gone to town with stories suggesting that religious pluralism is a threat to Islam, and that Pakatan Rakyat supremo and opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is pushing for other religions to be put on an equal footing with Islam.

According to the newspaper, those who question the position of Islam and the Malays are practitioners of religious pluralism, in what appears to be a claim that Anwar's rejection of Umno's "ketuanan Melayu" concept is unIslamic, or even anti-Islam.

I think we should not just jump at Ikim and unilaterally condemn its view about the exclusivity of Islam without some serious objective evaluation and understanding of the teaching of the religion.

From the strictly theological perspective, Ikim is right. Islam, like Christianity, is certainly an exclusive religious faith, claiming in the Shahada (Declaration of Faith) that "There is no god, but Allah" (La ilah illa Ilah) and Muhammad is Allah's messenger (Wa Muhammad rasul u'llah). The Ikim position is consistently with the fundamental theology of Islam.

Like Christianity, Islam also claims exclusivity to its beliefs and teachings. A Muslim's faith is firmly based on the belief that the source of his religion Islam is God and Muhammad is the only and last and final prophet and spokesman for God on the Earth. A true Muslim holds that Islam is not just one of the many religions, but THE religion per se, the only true religion of God, the religion of the created natural order (din-al-fitrah).

The religion is called Islam because Allah had decreed it in the Quran: "Lo the religion with God is Al Islam to His will and guidance" (3:19) and "I have chosen for you as religion Al Islam" (5:3). Islam, an Arab word, means submission, total surrender and obedience, and that is the practical implications for Muslims. There are several greetings based on the word Islam, such as "Peace be upon you" (salamalek) and "Go in peace" (bissalma, masalma). Thus, the teaching of Islam is about a life of faith and peace through submission to the one and only true God Allah. The word "Muslim" means a person who has totally surrendered his whole life to Allah. The Islamic faith is not just purely an organized ritualistic religion, but a complete way of life, covering every area of life and thoughts, including politics.

Hence, the Ikim claim to exclusivity for Islam is not without theological merit.

As a Christian, I can understand the Ikim position, since my faith is also an exclusive one. No Christian will dispute or challenge my contention that Christianity also claims exclusivity to be the only way of salvation for mankind, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life" and "No one comes to the Father (God) except through me (Jesus)". (John 14:6), and that "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

The issue before us, therefore, is not the question of theological belief per se, but how to relate an exclusive faith to other religions in a multi-racial, multi-religious, multi-cultural, and multi-lingual society like Malaysia.

The word "pluralism" has been used unilaterally by almost everyone – religious leaders, politicians, journalists – without fully understanding what the concept actually means and implies.

The Oxford Dictionary defines "pluralism" as "a condition or system in which two or more states, groups, principles, etc co-exist".

The keyword, I believe, is "co-exist". The context in which pluralism exists and practiced is the widely diverse and varied range of religious faiths in a given society, such as Malaysia which has Islam as its official religion and other faiths being part of the scenario.

The fundamental issue we face in a plural society like Malaysia is the matter of peaceful and harmonious co-existence among the people of various races and religious beliefs.

Although I believe that Ikim is theologically consistent with the teaching of Islam, its statement that "Islam rejects religious pluralism that claims all religions to be equally good and truthful" is certainly not politically correct in the context of the Malaysian plural society.

I believe Ikim should look at the issue of pluralism from two broad perspectives, before making a sweeping dismissal of pluralism per se.

First, there is the pluralistic perspective that all religions are equal and "all roads lead to God". Obviously, Islam, and, for that matter Christianity, will never endorse such a view.

Islam and Christianity both teach and propagate that their respective faith is the only true religion, with all other religious systems and faiths being considered "pagan". Hence, it is simply impossible for a true Muslim or an honest Christian to agree to inter-faith "spiritual activities". For a Muslim or Christian to participate, for example, in an inter-faith "worship" is to acknowledge that his faith is just one among many others, to place his God on equal standing with the deities of other religious faiths.

This is what justifies the Ikim position in relationship to other faiths. And I will say that the Ikim concern is valid and theologically consistent with the Islamic teaching. As a Christian, I take a similar stand that I cannot participate in an inter-religious worship service or other inter-faith spirituality activities, without dishonouring and betraying my Lord Jesus.

But, there is another perspective of pluralism which does not involve the matter of spiritual compromise, and that is the common universal moral values among all peoples of the world. And it is this common earthly destiny of all peoples that Ikim should consider the vital role of Muslims to help promote peace and harmony among the people, who are the vice-regents of Allah (khalifa Allah) on Earth.

As I said before, as a Christian, I will not participate in an inter-faith worship service which will place my Lord Jesus as being among one of the gods, on equal standing with them. If I do, it will mean I am not consistent with my faith in the Lord Jesus as the only way, the truth, and the life. Such a compromise in matters of spirituality is surely not correct and honest.

My Muslim friends, too, are correct in taking a similar stand, or else their Shahada becomes a vain recitation, rendering their faith to be meaningless. Hence, Ikim is theologically correct in its stand.

However, in the matters of morality, justice, righteousness, equality, freedom, human, civil and constitutional rights, I will endorse and support any inter-faith "dialogue" and joint stand and actions. This is the other perspective of pluralism that I believe Ikim should seriously study and evaluate, before dismissing the whole concept of pluralism per se.

Although the people of Malaysia are adherents of various faiths and religious systems, they are united for the common purpose of nation-building, and are jointly dealing with many fundamental issues relating to their role as citizens. Hence, the need to come together to talk and compromise.

There is an urgent need for inter-faith dialogues on matters such as the freedom to worship, teach and propagate each other's religion, the matter of land for places of worship and burial, the right to use the national language Bahasa Malaysia without restriction in worship and religious education, the legal disputes over the conversion of individuals, particularly children, and the vital matter of co-existence.

Ikim, and all responsible Muslim leaders should be willing to participate in such inter-faith dialogues as the common-interest issues need not involve doctrinal compromise or theological dispute.

I hope all parties concerned with the dispute over pluralism will understand and accept that the fundamental matter is the peaceful and harmonious co-existence of all persons or all faiths, with each practicing his faith with full sensitivity and due respect to people of other faiths. What we want is not a theological war, but a channel for inter-faith dialogues and a medium for communication on issues of universal common interests.

May God bless our beloved nation real good!

Admin Note:

It will be very difficult to have anykind of interfaith discourse with Muslims if Muslims i.e. BN/Umno type Muslims in Malaysia do not wake up to the fact that Islam is equal to other religions. Islamophobia is not a Jewish or Western creation but actually is the projection of the insecurity Muslims find within themselves about their own religion.

Haramkan Islam Syiah !! Bagus !

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 12:42 AM PST

Kombo foto diatas menunjukkan wajah sebenar Islam Mazhad Syiah.

http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syiah

Jawapan: Umno lah menentukan Islam ori, Islam mazhad lain pun mesti ditolak.

"If you look at Anwar, when commenting on certain issues like the use of Allah by the non-Muslims, he has been very supportive and consistent about it," said Yusri as quoted by Malay daily Utusan Malaysia.

Hapuskan PAS ... "In this matter, Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat should also not escape criticism as he had previously attended an official function at a Buddhist temple in Kelantan," said Yusri.

After 26th March-Sarawak Polls

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 10:14 PM PST

No guessing game needed. His 30th year book is already taking shape and now with his marriage what else is NEW? He can take his  lovy-dovy time now and wait for the right moment. The cut off period though is July 2011.

Eventhough Sammy Vellu the former MIC President has already called it a day. The "HEAT" is on  CM Taib to finally leave the State adminstration to a New Man incharge.

A school of thought has even said,"he should leave sooner rather than later as if he delays and take charge to lead the State in the next elections he will lose his invicibility" Sammy Vellu is enjoying his new found status and Taib must also be looking at this angle.

An Assistant minister and YB N6 was quick to point out to audie61 almost immediatedly,"We need his Wisdom.HE knows the State to well and BN Sarawak will need him to lead us into the elections"

The internet portal Malaysiakini has this,"Guessing Game Coninues on State polls-"It has been a year when political pundits engaged in a guessing game of when the state election would likely be held – although the current term of the Sarawak state legislative assembly expires only in July next year"

Another BN assemblyman also told a journalist in our presence,"CM Taib holds the key but we must be prepared at all times which we are as always ever since the losts of the Parliamentary seat in Sibu. That was really a blessing in disguise and now the BN Sarawak will not take anything forgranted. We will face the enemy who is outside headon and we will stay united inside."

The call of "The enemy is Outside was echoed by UMNO Youth Chief and Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin and he has really touched the "NERVE POINT" of the BN coalition partners. Even now as we are speaking at the Pakatan convention the YB said,"I heard the BN is under attacked and at every opportunity the shells and torpedoes are being fired at us with regards to Pakatans march to Putrajaya and how NOT WELL(tidak bagus) we are running the country. They are having their convention now just after our BN Convention.

DO YOU THINK THEY ARE BETTER..??

The YB continued "CM will scrutinize and ensure that our 71 BN candidates are up to mark and as PM Najib says "winnable candidates" which has far reaching effects and all the State BN Chairmans will need to adhere to. Its already a different approach and away from the 'norm where the warlords will push their candidates through and try to derail the machinery if their candidate is not picked." CM has always gathered information and he knows the ground well if not he would not have stayed this long.

Can you manage even 15years without collapsing..??

Battle for Lotus brand and at what cost?

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 01:08 PM PST

By Mohd Ariff Sabri Aziz

COMMENT Can Malaysia afford to have three F1 teams? Are we that rich or glaringly imprudent to be spending large amounts of money and for what what purpose? For advertising or putting whatever product and services on a high profile visual?

In 2011, Lotus Racing Team or 1Malaysia F1 Team or whatever will race as Team Lotus. Who is who? Proton says it owns the Lotus name.

Air Asia's Tony Fernandes says he owns the Lotus brand. Before the actual races, these two business entities are fighting over who gets the right to use the Lotus name.

The Lotus Racing Team originally took a license from Group Lotus (owner of Lotus Cars) that allowed them to use the Lotus name for the 2010 season.

Group Lotus, is owned by its parent company, Proton.

Group Lotus then terminates the license for future seasons as a result of what it called flagrant and persistent breaches of the license by the team (headed by Fernandez).

What had Tony done?

Will Tony gets what Tony wants? How did Tony Fernandes acquire the confidence to use the name Lotus?

Tony Fernandes announced that his Tune Group had acquired Team Lotus Ventures Ltd. This was a company, according to Tony, is led by one David Hunt who has full ownership of the rights of the Team Lotus brand and heritage.

Because of this, Tony said he has rights to use the name Lotus and announces to the world that they would be known as Team Lotus or Lotus Racing from 2011 onwards.

Group Lotus (owned by Proton), owner of Lotus Cars, launched legal action against Lotus Racing, claiming that Tony Fernandes did not have the rights to use the Lotus name because David Hunt was never in a position to sell them.

Proton the parent company of Group Lotus issued a statement saying that Group Lotus owned all rights to the Lotus name in the automotive sector, including Formula One, and that Tony has no rights to use the brand in the 2011 season.

Group Lotus then went on to announce that it had bought a stake in Renault F1 and had agreed to become title sponsor, with the French car maker playing the role of engine supplier. The team would be known as Lotus Renault GP.

So what shall we see in 2011?

We shall be seeing double - as two teams both carrying the name Lotus powered by Renault engines will be lining up to race.

To further the confusion, Group Lotus announced that the 2011 Lotus Renault GP cars would carry a black and gold livery reminiscent of the John Player & Sons liveries previously used by Colin Chapman's Team Lotus in the 1980s, paralleling plans by Tony Fernandes to race in 2011 with a JPS-inspired livery.

You have two teams (both controlled by Malaysians) using the same name, powered by the same engine who will be also using the same liveries.

To avoid confusion, Tony Fernandes recently stated that it his team would continue with their present green and yellow color scheme in 2011.

We see a quarrel even before the race has started. Proton which hasn't done enough to market its Lotus cars is thinking it can shortcut its way to eminence by sponsoring an F1 racing team. Is that stupid or what?

As a layman and as a person who gets deaf from hearing the roar of F1 engines, I am thinking, rather than spend money on sponsoring a racing team , Proton is better off spending that same amount of money into reasearch and development for Lotus cars.

Questionable capability

Why go in to save Dany Bahar and Renault?

What's so special about the name Lotus? Lotus the car manufacturer? Lotus the flower? Lotus the glint in Tony Fernandes' eyes? Which Lotus?

What's in it for Proton to be the Lotus-Renault team? The man-in-charge of the project, one Dany Bahar has said, its longer term plan is to be full owner of the team.

What does that mean? It means Proton, our car manufacturer whose money making capabilities are questionable under the stewardship of its current CEO is already spending millions and millions to be the title sponsor.

Now, to fit into the longer term plans of this Dany Bahar, Proton will be sending many more millions to become a full owner.

You can't just buy into Renault and not spend more later being owner, when your partners want to become something else.

Take a look at Lotus cars itself. It is in the midst of a major renewal, and signaled their intent by wheeling out five concepts at the Paris Motor Show. They'll need a lot of money to realize that future range of cars. After that, will they have enough for Formula 1?

Dany Bahar must have been assured by Proton that he shall have the money he wants. He says he would not commit without backing from shareholders, banks and investors.

Whose money is Proton going to spend? For Proton, its foray to become a title sponsor and becoming a full pledged owner, is a recipe for financial disaster.

We now have three home boys to race the F1 under their respective banners - Petronas Mercedes GP, Lotus-Renault and Team Lotus.

Sponsor appeal

At least Petronas seems to be doing the right thing to sponsor MercGP, as there's a legend there racing for them.

But Lotus? Two people are fighting for the rights over using the name.

One of them owns a budget airline but probably like many of us, don't know how to change our car tyres. What's in for Tony in racing the F1? What is the strategic importance?

The cars can't be faster than Boeings or air buses? He is already well known especially after winning the bet to employ Richard Branson as a stewardess on his plane? Branson will crossdress. That's advertising for Tony already.

The only plausible reason is that Fernandes is using the "Lotus" name to attract sponsors.

Where will the Malaysian government stand on this issue?

The Malaysian government says it is supporting Proton-owned Lotus to return to the F1 grid.

Is this a good decision? They will argue that it's in the best interest of promoting the sport in the country, to heighten the interest among kids, to make Proton cars better, to maintain the Petronas name in F1 etc.

Seriously, the main reason why I think some people are pushing hard to sponsor F1 racing teams is they get their hands on the kitty.

Anwar must come to terms with his karma

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 12:22 PM PST

By Joe Fernandez

COMMENT There are pros and cons in the continuing tragedy of Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim who is wailing bucket of tears on his suspension for six months from Parliament.

He should consider the suspension period as a blessing in disguise. He should use it to embark on roadshows to explain to the people that Parliament is not what it should be and is being virtually used as a rubber stamp despite a sizeable opposition presence. The ruling Barisan Nasional has not learnt any lesson from the loss of its two-thirds majority. The people have a right to know as well.

He can use the roadshows to add a few other issues like Altantuya Shaariibuu, the trap set by his political enemies for Sodomy II – the sequel to Sodomy 1 – Putrajaya, his favourite town, and the judiciary when it comes to the government in particular. The roadshows can be the starter to the general election campaign.

Meanwhile, Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia can be hauled up before the courts, not that it would do Anwar any good, considering what happened in Perak. The judge in question even had the temerity to remark that the judiciary could not interfere in what happens within the state assembly.

Who's asking the judiciary to interfere? What is required is some kind of ruling, and let it be non-binding, pointing out that the hooliganism that went on in Parliament was a disgrace.

Hopefully, the judiciary will not disappoint the people in the case of the Parliament Speaker. Something should come out of taking Pandikar Amin to court over the suspension of Anwar and his other "comrades in crime". The MP from Kota Belud, Sabah, has any number of issues against him that should be raised in court. Hopefully, the court will censure him and then he will have to resign if he has any ounce of dignity left.

Pandikar Amin's present post in Parliament is not because he deserves it but because Sabah and Sarawak had somehow to be politically pacified after the 2008 political tsunami which saw the two states emerging as kingmakers in Parliament in Peninsular Malaysia. His ineligibility, on this score, to be Speaker of Parliament speaks volumes.

Why Pandikar Amin when he comes from the tiny, that is, fewer than 5,000 Irranun community which came from the Philippines? That's because the speculation is that he's part of the gang of three including one Filipino federal minister and a former Sabah chief minister, a Banjar from Indonesia, working day-and-night to oust the present state government. That's how Pandikar Amin became Speaker. However, he continues to bite the hand that feeds him. He entertains Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak with all sorts of fairy tales on Sabah. He should stick to ghost stories.

Anwar no angel

Between Pandikar Amin and Anwar, the de facto PKR chief is no angel either.

Although Anwar should not have been suspended from Parliament, and certainly not for six months, the fact is that he brought this down on himself. This is one point that Pandikar Amin can cite in court with reference to "hukum karma" (the law of karma), that is, cause-and-effect, not that the judge is going to buy it. At least Pandikar Amin can entertain the judge for a change instead of Najib all the time.

Anwar has been involved, for one, in unjustly suspending his own party members whom he felt was a challenge to the status quo in the party. He did this recently in Sabah to put a spanner in the works for Jeffrey Kitingan and Zaid Ibrahim. This resulted in the former staying out and the latter puling out in the midst of the race for the deputy presidency – not that he would have won anyway, but that's beside the point.

Now that Anwar has been suspended, he should feel the pain, the anger and the humiliation of others when they are similarly dealt with unjustly. In short, he has got a dose of his own medicine. It's his karma come to visit him. He can only neutralise it by accepting it. In Islam, it's mandatory for Muslims to submit themselves to the will of God. The terrorism that takes place in the world today is a deviation from this very core of Islam.

Karma is neither positive nor negative. It's neutral. Good, bad, ugly, beautiful and evil are human perceptions.

The more Anwar fights his karma, the greater the punishment that will be inflicted upon him but greater will be the reward too if he can find a silver lining in the clouds, and consider everything that happens as a blessing in disguise and counts one's blessings. It's all a matter of perception.

Is he up to the challenge of defying the very Gods in the heavens? Only Anwar can answer this question.
