Stop him from coming to Malaysia!

Stop him from coming to Malaysia!

Stop him from coming to Malaysia!

This is Mr Bilahari Kausikan, the most senior diplomat at Singapore Foreign Ministry, the guy who badmouthed Malaysia as 'a dangerous country', thanks to Wikileaks.

Come Wednesday Dec 22, he will lead the Republic's delegation to Kuala Lumpur to finalise details of KTM land swap which was agreed by Prime Ministers of both countries recently.

This guy deserves no respect from us, Malaysians. After what he had said and told the Americans, he is more like an enemy to me and many Malaysians (you agree, right?). So, why must we let him in?

Just because the Republic harbors the Israeli Embassy and is so much closer to the Americans than they are to its Asean neighbors, its diplomats like KausiCUNT had breached the diplomatic code of conduct by belittling the Republic's business partners and friends.

Malaysia 'dangerous' decline, according to them, is fuelled by incompetent politicians, Thailand is dogged by corruption and a ''very erratic'' crown prince, Japan is a ''big fat loser'' and India is ''stupid'' (here).

And still, they call themselves diplomats, forgetting that what they had uttered are likely to spark intense political controversy in the region.

Awkwardly, our 'thick skin' negotiators will be expecting him on Wednesday for the talks, looking forward to sitting down with him at the same table, pretending that nothing happened! You like that?

The cables, leaked by WikiLeaks, detail the content of separate meetings between senior US officials and Singapore's foreign affairs chiefs Peter Ho, Bilahari Kausikan and Tommy Koh. The trio, who at the time of the 2008 and 2009 cables occupied some of the most senior positions in Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry, all give US officials damning assessments of Malaysia.

According to one cable detailing a meeting in September 2008, Kausikan told US Deputy Secretary of Defence for East Asia David Sedney that ''the situation in neighbouring Malaysia is confused and dangerous'', fuelled by a ''distinct possibility of racial conflict'' that could see ethnic Chinese ''flee'' Malaysia and ''overwhelm'' Singapore.

I believe most of us are angered by such statements. So, what should we do?

Pluralisme: Masalah metodologi, bukan niat
Shah al-Maududy Dis 18, 10 8:47pm

Tatkala para sahabat mahu menegah mereka berbuat demikian, Nabi SAW bersabda, "biarkan mereka (mengerjakan sembahyang mereka)".

Pluralisme: Masalah metodologi, bukan niat
Shah al-Maududy Dis 18, 10 8:47pm

Tatkala para sahabat mahu menegah mereka berbuat demikian, Nabi SAW bersabda, "biarkan mereka (mengerjakan sembahyang mereka)".

To all those CD lovers, please beware!

Please do not keep any pirated or burned CDs, DVDs, or VCDs in your car.

Police and Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs Ministry's enforcement division in Malaysia have started the operation to search and fine anyone who keep pirated disc inside their car especially through road block at all main road and expressways.

If any pirated or burned disc found inside your car will be charged RM400 per disc. Example 30 discs found means the fine will be RM12,000.

This is real. Another friend of mine from Seagate, today during lunch time, 5 CD x RM400 = RM2,000

One of the Plexus colleague brother-in-law caught by Police due to pirated CD in the car on the way to town for lunch with his friend in the afternoon. One CD fined RM400.

Please disseminate this to all your friends who are driving in Malaysia .

Ide Sanusi yang tidak menjadi

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 05:39 AM PST

Pertama, Sanusi kuat membaca buku.

Cuma ide tanam padi atas bumbung tak menjadi sampai diejek orang.

The TRUE bribe storyPerak pincess Raja Eleena is a major shareholder Gamuda-MMC wins RM36bil KL MRT project

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 05:28 AM PST

The country is passing through very trying times. The credibility of almost every single institution is under attack – judiciary, media, corporate sector, executive, politicians – the people have lost faith in almost every institution. I get phone calls from so many people every day asking what will happen to the country, where will it go? in the last few months. However, now is the time to seek systemic changes. Unfortunately, the media is not talking about these changes. Some friends in the media tell me that there is a corruption- fatigue in the media. People might be tired of reading muck being exposed every day. However, they are looking for solutions. It is time that the media started talking about these changes.

Much has been said about Ratan Tata's story of a fellow industrialist calling him stupid for not paying a Rs 15 crore bribe to a minister for approval of a project. I don't know whether this bribe story is true or not, but it is true that honest people in our contemporary society are called stupid. Today, "success" is important, not "means". Performance is judged on "profits", not "probity". Hence, many journalists do not find anything wrong in being used by a high-profile public relations consultant, Nira Radia (read vested interests), so long as they get the "news". The Radia tapes also reveal that industrialists projected as sacrosanct are not 100% stupid.

Perak pincess Raja Eleena is a major shareholder

KUALA LUMPUR — A joint venture between builders Gamuda and MMC has received preliminary government approval to manage a RM36 billion rail project, sources with direct knowledge of the deal said on Friday.

The companies got approval to oversee the building of a 156-kilometre mass rapid transit project in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and the surrounding areas after a weekly government cabinet meeting, said one source who declined to be identified.

Gamuda and MMC were not immediately available for comment.

"However, it's not certain whether Gamuda-MMC will also be awarded the tunnelling portion of the project," the source said, referring to the RM14 billion drilling component of the project.

The rail system is part of a government plan to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital, and is expected to spur a slew of other building projects and contribute to economic growth.

MMC's Syed Mokhtar – another Umno crony

Analysts expect the Gamuda-MMC venture to get the tunnelling job as they have had similar previous experience.

Local media had previously said the government was contemplating a "Swiss Challenge" model for the tunnelling project, where other parties are invited to put in bids that match or better Gamuda-MMC's offer.

Construction analysts said the market had not fully priced in the award of the contract into the companies' share price.

"Our target for Gamuda is RM4.64 per share, so there's still more room to move," OSK Research analyst Jeremy Goh said.readmore project KUALA LUMPUR conspiracy of silence"

As we know from the past anything and everything can be faked! Including this one!

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 05:06 AM PST

Heard of an old television series Mission Impossible? Anything can be faked to look real, from a politician to Statutory Declarations to any official document, and even to our Malaysian Ringgit!

There is this picture of Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim (BABI) showing a piece of paper with the word APCO clearly seen on the top of the page and with many words printed on that piece of paper. Very official looking right!
Well, the picture, in the past, reminded me of the so many so-called Statutory Declarations being flagged by persons like Raja Petra Kamaruddin, PI Balasubramanian, Tian Chua and many other bogus politicians in their attempts to discredit the leadership of the government, under Najib Razak, by flagging bogus documents hoping people will believe?
In the case of BABI, his political modus operandi has always been based on his mistaken notion that Malays, especially, are basically stupid enough to believe anything that looks officials, like a piece of what appears to be official documents! (For the record BABI had his third-class degree on Malay Studies at the Universiti Malaya thus his mistaken belief that he fully understood the Malay masses)
Well, here is the thing, anyone can go to Pertama Komplek today and have genuine looking "official documents" made, and for a few ringgits it can be done!
Here is a question for you! If such a document, flagged by BABI, is genuine why didn't he produced it in parliament in the first place when he was being investigated for telling lies., he could have exonerated himself!
The truth is he did not have and could not produce such "official document" as proof to discredit the present government and the Prime Minister, if he had such document will be thoroughly scrutinized, double check and double check if it is genuine!
Why would BABI risked suspension from Parliament where he can fight for his "just cause" instead of flagging the "document" outside of Parliament, at a makeshift place of a press conference (PC) so pro opposition journalist can come to cover the PC and perpetuate his lies.
We all know that anything can be faked in this country, including politician like our false martyr. We all know that SD amounts to nothing, for anyone can produced them for what's important is the image of the official stamp and the many signatures signed just below the official stamp that can fool anyone.
Frankly speaking I believe the whole country is tired of this BABI and his delusion of grandeur, the sooner he is found guilty is the better.
Having said I have a question to our judicial system: What seems to be your problem? Why can't you get this case over with and what are you allowing yourself to be bullied by lawyers who represent BABI, when we know they are all full of malice intended?
On BABI assertion that Najib was terrified of the Wikileaks implicating him and the death of a Mongolian woman! Well, of course anyone would be stressed by such an accusation.
The thing is what exactly did Wikileaks leak on the murder of Altantuya?
That's right nothing! Except that Singapore was reported as saying Najib is pressured by the murder allegation. The difference is Singapore did not confirm the allegation nor did they have any facts and figures or evidence on the murder, like what they have on Anwar's sodomy act.
If Singapore reported that Najib is pressured over the murder, of course he is, who wouldn't with such allegation. However in the case of BABI three judges coincurred that he committed buggery and rape, which is against the law of nature and of this country!

Note: For the record it was stated that BABI had even mistakenly equated APCO Worldwide (international communication consultant firm) with APCO (American Protocol Communication Outfit), a walkie talkie communication system which was used by Polis DiRaja Malaysia and claimed that Israelis were inflitrating Bukit Aman!

Note: BABI is now paddling up-shit creek without a paddle in so far as realisation that he is not getting any more moral and financial support from the US administration for showing publicly expressing his anti-Semitic feeling to the whole world! Even his Neo-Conservative Zionist friends are shying away from him! You see, you can only fool some of people some of the time!

Hujjah Ustaz Fathul Bari Hujjah Dangkal, Lagak Seperti Mujtahid Mutlak

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 03:23 AM PST

MENGAPA PENTING MERUJUK ULAMA TERDAHULU?

Wallahualam

Police and Politicians would always try to issue statements and also tell Voters "DON'T GAMBLE YOUR FUTURE AWAY" This though has got to be just UNBELIEVABLE and WAY ABOVE BEING NORMAL.

Anyway the gamblers are anything but normal as they are addicted and would go to any length and breadth to satisfy their DAILY KICKS.

DOES THIS BOTHER OUR MINDS …???

BUKIT MERTAJAM, Dec 18 – For residents of Kampung Baru, there appeared to be a grave situation.

This followed "spirited" activities in the dead of the night at a Chinese cemetery in Kampung Baru here over the past two weeks.Strange men were spotted walking stealthily towards the cemetery. To some residents, the thought that paranormal activity was in progress, could have crossed their mind.

Probably unnerved by the nocturnal goings-on, some residents alerted the police. When undercover policemen turned up at the cemetery yesterday evening, they found no hint of the macabre.

Instead, they stumbled on 23 spirited men, including several senior citizens, gambling passionately at the burial ground. The police nabbed the suspects, including 70-year-old men, and seized RM40,671 and gambling paraphernalia including a bowl, three dice, 78 gambling chips, three long tables and 20 chairs.

A police spokesman said today, a team of personnel from the Penang police contingent anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division raided the area.

He said the suspects were detained to facilitate investigations under Section 7(2) of the Open Gambling House Act 1953, which upon conviction, carries a fine of up to RM5,000, or six months jail, or both. – Bernama

A Straighttalking Writer Is Harsher than Desi on RPK!

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 07:34 AM PST

When Desiderata the blogger started noticing a change of trend in RPK's columns in his own portal malaysia-today.net some six months ago, I sat back initially and just watched his show. I became more concerned when he was then aided by maverick fomer UMNO-appointed Senator-minister who came aboard PKR and started critical attacks on PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the party itself for which he recently started to campaign to become its deputy president. Yes, Zaid Ibrahim -- alleged by some including this writer as an UMNO mole -- then resigned from PKR after giving up the deputy president contestmidway. He saw the writing on the wall he was badly trailing Azmin Ali (the eventual new deputy president PKR, duly elected...). All this is history but still stirring up trouble - shit? -- is freemalaysiatoday.com, a website financed by Datuk Soh Chee Wen who came into PKR with purported "generous" funding for PKR but fell out with DS Anwar early this year. It became very clear Soh was running a campaign, in concert with Zaid and Jeffrey Kitingan, to "self-destruct" Parti Keadilan Rakyat, and hence in its wake Pakatan Rakyat in its train, for general consensus is that should PR topple BN in Putrajaya, Anwar would become Prime Minister. I have described Zaid-Soh-Jeffrey as the triumvirate who are the chief moles - Anwar used the term Trojan horse -- who are waging a war against PKR-Awar incessantly the past six months, so much so I had titled my last article as "With Friends Like RPK and Haris Ibrahim, PKR Doesn'T Need Enemies"! (***Reproduced below ith no copyright:)

Malaysian blogger-in-exile in the UK Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) along with his blogger-matey civil rights lawyer Haris Ibrahim have recently given birth to the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM) after posting several floating-balloon posts in their blogs espousing the role of The Third Force with the two often contradicting themselves -- I guess they were amending their Articles of Formation of the new NGO, I term it as a SUPRA GOVERNMENT BODY -- along the way as they got blasted quite a lot by writers such as YL Chong-Desi. Many critics of the Third Force/ MCLM including Desi feel at this critical junction, MCLM would mainly play a "Spoilers' Role" in taking part in GE13 when they first had said they would NOT field candidates in the forthcoming General Elections 13 (GE13). The third force would just a sort of "Auditor's Role" like in checking maladminstration in a Listed Company. But Haris proudly announced he had in mind, through the Third Force, fielding 30 candiadtes, and he indeed had approached some 20 of these people of "integrity" an some 16 of them had agreed to stand.

Today I was heartened to read at m2day a LETTER in that now I don't think my viewpoint was isolated when I wrote three articles on the subject, for here below I reproduce the writing from someone even harsher is his/her criticism of RPK's efforst wrt MCLM:(, viz:

Pakatan Rakyat – A pile of shit?

Lately I've been reading comments from around the blogs; especially comments in Malaysia Today and I find a disturbing trend. Commenters are beginning to use ugly words to describe Pakatan. I won't repeat them all, but one that is constantly used to disparage Pakatan is to compare it to "a pile of shit". MY GOD!!! And who encouraged the commenters to use such an unsavory term? RPK.

What the fark has Pakatan done that is so terrible to incur such wrath from RPK and commenters to call them "a pile of shit". Is Pakatan stealing money from the rakyat? Is Pakatan fanning racial hatred among the rakyat? Is Pakatan dividing the rakyat? Is Pakatan a bunch of corrupted crooks? Is Pakatan a bunch of useless eunuchs? I DON'T THINK SO!!!

True, some MPs turned traitor turned frog in the early days of Pakatan and cost Pakatan to lose Perak. But that does not mean Pakatan had committed a sin. It only committed a mistake for having traitors in their midst! The recent party elections in PKR and DAP were also not sins. In fact, to allow for every member to vote in their leader was a "first" in any political party in Malaysia. It was only a mistake that Pakatan did not anticipate the difficult task of organizing such a massive nation-wide party election with so limited resources and zero experience.

Apart from those two mistakes, all I see are some disagreements now and then. Overall the party's top level leaders are good, clean and dedicated to serve the rakyat. Aren't those traits what we want in our leaders? Do we want EVERY Pakatan MP; EVERY Pakatan official; EVERY Pakatan member to be clean, efficient and dedicated before we vote Pakatan? Is that possible? That would be a miracle! And miracles only happen in heaven. There are no miracles on earth. What more do we farking want!

And now, suddenly RPK has decided that Pakatan is no good. In fact his views are that some Pakatan MPs are "not even fit to walk his dog"! I mean what kind of nonsense is this? The self-proclaimed "repairman" now says that MCLM is sent from Heaven to fix things! How wonderful. To add to my thoughts, I'd like to borrow a wise comment made by a reader in MT. He/she says…

"…if MCLM really wants to represent the 'civil liberties' movements, where are the 'unions'? Where are the human rights groups? Where are the NGOs? I don't see them joining the MCLM in droves. If MCLM cannot accept genuine and pure criticism, is it not going to be similar to 'Suhakam', saying the right things but doing the wrong things? Bersih was a better movement by the way! Why not Bersih constituting a massive group under Pakatan and MCLM offering its 'members' as candidates only? The fact that the MCLM refuses the 'orders' from PKR, PAS and DAP and the fact that they fear the leadership of these parties, shows that there is a deep division among the opposition support panels and this will definitely be cannon fodder for the BN to target in the next GE. One last point: The MCLM is being created not at the 'demand' of the people but by the thinking of a group of good intentioned citizens but let me tell you, not all good intents end up in good things!"

I am not a blind fan of Pakatan. I've seen all three movies that are now showing in our cinemas:

"BN – The Big Boss"

"Pakatan – The Alternate Big Boss"

"MCLM – The Little Big Boss"

And I've been watching all three movies over and over again, including the short "clips" on youtube. I am by now, quite familiar with the actors and the plots in all three movies. If there's an Oscar nomination for "Best Performance" I'd give it to "Pakatan – The Alternate Big Boss". "MCLM – The Little Big Boss" deserves no nomination.

Right now, I think the only thing that needs urgent fixing is the "repairman" himself. He should stop taking the "Tongkat Ali" called MCLM. It is actually bad medicine.

Do you agree?

With friends like RPK, Haris Ibrahim, PKR doesn't need enemies

The knives are out for Anwar - Umno offers big money for his scalp
YL Chong

I recently wrote an article thinking aloud why Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) the blogger now-in-exile in Britain has been writing some articles highly critical of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, especially regarding its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, but I tempered my concern with giving benefit of the doubt to the blogger now resident abroad that he might have been misinformed or disinformed by his cronies back home including civil rights lawyer-cum-blogger Haris Ibrahim.

My main criticism was that RPK had always written promoting Reformasi from 1998, marked by his outstanding role of director of FreeAnwarCampaign (FAC), and generally working in concert with opposition parties and non-governmental organisations(NGOs) towards change in government at the federal level. But recent writings had given rise to concern he was giving lots of ammunition to the ruling BN regime, especialy UMNO, to attack the Pakatan Rakyat. And today's New Sunday Times proves again my point -- its page 9 report shows that following the departure of former PKR deputy presidential candidate Zaid Ibrahim, RPK has become the "flavour of the month" of the MSM.

In fact, most Malaysians long to see the birth of a two-party/coalition system in this country -- surely a central message sent by the March 8, 2008 General Elections (GE12)? My contention is that PR consisting of PKR, DAP and PAS, now form the only viable alternative coalition able to topple the BN government in Putrajaya, and hence must be given a chance to prove themselves. I add that any third force, however well-intentioned, would only become a new impediment to PR's march on Putrajaya.

I have mentioned Haris in tandem with RPK because their efforts in moving civil society often are inter-connected in timing, and objectives, but whether by design or in revision of stands, the duo are caught flat footed in their contradictions when promoting their preferred candidate to take over PKR Zaid Ibrahim, and curently The Third Force in Malaysian politics.

I clearly recall that RPK, in elaborating on the third force, had stressed that it's NEVER meant to field any canidates in the forthcoming general elections, especially the GE13. Using the public-listed companies as an analogy, he said the third force would act like an auditor, to check the listed company's accounts and watch out for discrepancies, or waywardness by its directors and management chiefs. One point I would ask: The listed companies always appoint their own auditors who are qualified for this role, but whose mandate are this third force using to self-appoint themselves as auditors to the three components of the PR?

In fact, in my earlier article I had quoted Haris as saying the third force -- now birthing as Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM) in London -- had identified some 30 men/women of integrity to stand as candidates in GE13, and some 20 had agreed to stand, and they would want DAP and PKR to allow these candiadtes to stand under their party banner, according to a Star report dated Nov 17, 2010. I had questioned why would these well established parties with their own selection criteria privatise such an important role to outside parties. This stance was also restated by leaders like PKR strategy director Tian Chua besides Dr Syed Husin.

This Third Force is neither third nor force, according to just retired PKR deputy president Dr Syed Husin Ali. In fact he sarcastically shared at a mew conference in conjunction with recent party Congress a "revealing" episode, relating that preceding the March 2008 elections, a representation was made to him to allow a Third Force candidate to stand under PKR banner. Syed Husin knew of this "guy" candidate quite well, so he told off the backers that they should have done a thorough background check and would have found that their nominee was a regular pub-goer who often ended up drunk.

Let me now reproduce the NST report dated December 12, 2010 in full, and I reiterate that the headline itself again proved my point that RPK is providing grist to the MSM to attack PKR and PR frontally, with banner headlines likely to be used by the UMNO campaigners cometh GE13.

'Some PR reps not fit to walk a dog'
2010/12/12

KUALA LUMPUR: Raja Petra Kamaruddin has reiterated his disappointment at what he views as the lack of commitment to reforms by Pakatan Rakyat.

After virtually reprimanding his most recognisable political ally Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a London political forum on Oct 2 for not honouring campaign promises, the fugitive blogger wrote in his latest blog posting: "But what is Pakatan Rakyat's excuse? Pakatan Rakyat talks about reforms. But what reforms are they themselves introducing?

"They demand that Barisan Nasional reform. Should not Pakatan Rakyat demonstrate what it means by reforms by first of all reforming itself?

"In a nutshell, this is what I mean when I say that the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM) seeks to reform the political environment of Malaysia. Note that our target to push for reforms is not just Barisan Nasional but also Pakatan Rakyat.

"And I will continuously write about how things are done elsewhere and ask why we can't also do the same in Malaysia.

"And I will not accept the argument that we can't also do that because our skin is black, brown, cocoa or yellow and not white.

"It is not the external colour of our skin that determines advancement. It is our brain and how we utilise it that will."

At the Oct 2 Friends of Pakatan Rakyat Forum in London with Anwar, and now Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice-president Tian Chua, Raja Petra launched an attack on Pakatan's failure to implement "not a single one of the reform agenda contained in the People's Declaration".

He said this was an improved version of the Agenda of Change authored by Anwar in 1998.

According to Raja Petra, the People's Declaration was drawn up by what he termed as the civil society movement and was adopted by Pakatan parties as their manifesto for the March 2008 general election.

Three other non-Pakatan parties, too, embraced the People's Declaration, Raja Petra said.

He argued that the move and the spirited efforts of activists and bloggers like him had helped Pakatan gain seats. And now some 21/2 years after the election, not a single one of the reforms had been implemented.

As seen from the video recording of the event, Anwar had smiled approvingly when Raja Petra started addressing the forum but no longer smiled as the speech wore on.

Raja Petra offered not himself, but credible personalities from the civil society movement to be fielded as Pakatan candidates in the next general election.

As for some of the candidates fielded by Pakatan in 2008, Raja Petra, quoting his wife had said, "some of them, I can't even trust to walk my dog".

Raja Petra described them as an embarrassment.

(NST report ends here)

RPK asked in a reaction article to my piece titled "Why RPK is acting out (of character)" asked "Have I really changed?", and in a partial reply, I just said we all as individuals "grow up" with passing years, and that only the person himself or herself (including this writer!) would be able to answer truthfully if he/she has changed characterwise or with respect to the causes he/she once championed. But today, a month later, I conclude that RPK, your struggle has indeed changed direction, and you are treating PKR, and Anwar, as the enemy bigger than BN-UMNO. WHY?

So today when I opened up the New Straits Times, I wasn't surprised by the page 9 lead item headline; totally in character with his previous Oct 13's header: "Umno is Beginning to Look Better Than PKR"

So Pakatan Rakyat be forewarned that you would have to "review" your election strategies with the probable entry of MCLM or Third Force candidates, however you call them, now or revised because the promoters don't seem to know their directions and mandate. Maybe they will be strengthened by their well-linked ally Zaid Ibrahim-- in the next general elections?

The Rakyat/electorate must stay focused and united in rejecting a third, or fourth or fifth force; by contesting, they will only become "spoilers", siphoning off votes from the PR, hence benefiting the BN. Foremost on our mind must be to question where these sudden new forces get their monies from? Whose agenda are they really fighting for ?

Who are you to act like a SUPRA-GOVERNMENT BODY just because you have drawn up a People's Declaration via the People's Parliament via harisibrahim.com? Can an elite group meeting outside the country -- be it in London, Paris or Timbuktu, I care not -- totally a crowd of some 50 to 100 Malaysians carry the Malaysian fight for "A better Malaysia"? If you remain a cyber-voice writing pieces of concern for the homeland, I can live with that. But shortlisting candidates of impeccable character, playing a demi-god role? No, a BIG resounding No!

I end with a recollection of my criticism when it was made known that more than a decade ago, MCA leader Ng Yen Yen was a permanent resident of Australia when she was made a Senator. My stand then was,and still is, that I hold nothing against Malaysians having PR overseas, but I am firm that Yen Yen should NOT remain a Senator and continue to play active role in the country's politics as her loyalties were/are split. In fact, in passing, I too wrote a letter to the PM's Department too objecting to an Aussie PR being appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the Star, more or less on the same principle that one must not have any "conflict-of-interest" situation that often arises with high profile posts.

I too wish that Malaysians abroad who wish to play any significant role such as taking part in the country's elections by initiating or becoming Third Force candidates, or serving as a Cabinet minister, to return home to fight the battles. And help sincerely PR and the people's efforts to win the war for Putrajaya.

Why launch an MCLM in London, and announcing candidates to shove down the PR component parties throats? Maybe the BN regime under Najib Tun Razak will be more accomodating absorbing them -- hence the direct Barisan Nasional membership?

The UMNO leaders seem suddenly to become reform-minded, and so willing to co-opt Taiwan-returned graduate-rapper "Namewee" aka Wee Meng Chee -- why not also co-opt the 20 men of integrity nominated by Haris Ibrahim? I wonder if indeed we are seeing the emergence of The Third Force or The Third Farce?

Asri: Shi’a arrests proof of Talibanisation.

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 01:37 AM PST

The arrest of Shi'a Muslims by religious authorities in Gombak earlier this week is proof Malaysia is heading towards "an era of Talibanisation", says a former Perlis mufti.

"Malaysia is trying to become a country a la Taliban that only allows one school of thought," Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin said in a press statement today.

"Even though I personally don't agree with Shi'a teachings and even frequently criticise and debate with them, I cannot accept the approach of the allegedly democratic Malaysian government in denying the people's right to practice their faith, so long as it does not endanger public safety."

The Islamic scholar criticised the government for allowing a trend of "non-openness", saying that if the trend continues, there will be greater tension in the country that may lead to violence.

"[Violence] usually explodes in countries where the right to speak is constantly denied. Perhaps the government has its own agenda in this matter?" he said.

Discourse must always come before use of force when it comes to the people's rights in today's globalised world, Asri stressed.

"Arguments are countered by arguments, not by power," he said.

Some 200 local and foreign followers of the Hauzah Ar Ridha Alaihissalam group were arrested at a shophouse in Taman Sri Gombak, Batu Caves on Wednesday by authorities concerned that their activities constituted a security threat.

The group, led by two men including an Iranian national, had been operating in the four-storey shophouse for up to two years.

Followers included locals, Indonesians, Myanmars, a Pakistani, an Iranian, some of whom were lecturers and students in institutions of higher learning, lawyers and civil servants. Several children were also found at the location.

Those arrested were brought before the Gombak Barat Lower Syariah Court by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) last night and subsequently freed on bail.

Hauzah Ar Ridha Alaihissalam reportedly permits the killing of Muslims who follow other schools of thought, whom it considers kafir (unbelievers).

It has also been accused of propagating the practice of drawing blood through self-flagellation with chains every 10 Muharram as a way to cleanse sins.

The arrests were the largest recorded in Selangor involving allegedly deviant Islamic teachings.

The current Perlis Mufti, Dr Juanda Jaya, had also criticised religious authorities of acting like Talibans in the debate on religious pluralism.

Malaysia has been seeing a higher frequency of debate on interfaith ties this year following a High Court ruling last December 31 that said a Catholic weekly has the constitutional right to describe their God as Allah.

A protest by Muslims led to a wave of attacks on religious houses of worship, particularly churches in January. Several people have been convicted for the attacks.

The government won an appeal to stay the High Court order on using the word Allah and has set up an interfaith panel to resolve issues.

What Radical Revolution is this self appointed leader R.P.K ? is he plotting against our king

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 01:05 AM PST

MCLM a Radical Revolution

MCLM is generating a lot of hype from both sides of the political divide, the movement was launched by RPK recently and funded by overseas Malaysians from London, draws similarity to the time of Sun Yat Sen the Chinese Revolutionary Leader and the founding father of the Republic of China and also known as the Father of Modern China who succeeded in overthrowing the all-powerful evil Imperial rule of the Ching dynasty in 1911.
Sun Yat Sen like RPK was in self-exile for fear of being incarcerated by the Imperial army, Sun made the Island of Penang in Malaya one of his base and raised millions from Overseas Chinese all over the world, Sun travelled as far as to the Hawaii and to San Francisco and even up north to Canada rallying support and funds. Sun Yat Sen survived an assassination attempt and was rescued through the British Foreign Office, becoming a Hero whilst in London.
Sun's foresight in tapping the help and resources of the overseas Chinese population was to bear fruit on his subsequent revolutionary efforts. In one particular instance, his personal plea for financial aid at the Penang Conference held on 13 November 1910 in Malaya, helped launch a major drive for donations across the Malay Peninsula, an effort which helped finance the Second Guangzhou Uprising in 1911.
The role that overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia played during the 1911 Revolution was so significant that Sun recognized "Overseas Chinese as the Mother of the Revolution".
In Penang, Malaysia, the Penang Philomatic Union which was founded by Sun, their premise at 65 Macalister Road has been preserved as the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Museum.
Sun Yat Sen was all over the world and travelled even to India, the old Chinatown in Calcutta, India has a prominent street by the name of Sun Yat Sen Street.
Mind you that Sun Yat Sen travelled the world in the early 19th Century where the mode of transport was by Sea and any trip overseas was slow, lengthy taking much time and effort. Sun was driven by sheer determination to see reform and greater freedom for the distressed and oppressed people of China under the evil Ching rule.

Sun Yat Sen was driven by the political philosophy known as the Three Principles of the People which is Nationalism, Democracy and People's Economic Livelihood. Sun was a true Reformist who sought to transform China and fought against autocracy and oppression of the powerful Ching empire.

Sun Yat Sen formed his initial reform movement in Honolulu and later joined forces with "Huang Xing" (like Haris Ibrahim) a rebel leader based in Guangzhou to formed the "Revolutionary Alliance" in Tokyo in the year of 1905 which brought together several smaller groups under this umbrella that staged the Guangzhou uprising against the Imperial Army.

Sun is credited for the funding of the revolutions and for keeping the spirit of revolution alive, even after a series of failed uprisings. He successfully merged minor revolutionary groups to a single larger movement, providing a better base for all those who shared the same ideals.
So RPK, "Carpe Deim", Seize the Day! There is no better place to be than in London, one of the greater capitals of the free world and from where you can reach out rallying support to your cause of Reform and a greater Democracy. Through the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement, the radical platform is established to champion the struggle against the shackles of dirty politics and corrupt practices impoverishing your people and country.
So Rise O' Prince of the Central Plains, be resolute and ponder no more as your destiny awaits while your people calls out in the silence of bitter darkness that has shrouded your land causing much hardship and sufferings. For as you make your determined stand the tide shall rise to cleanse your land and the people shall rejoice in a new found freedom and prosperity will once again be upon the fertile soil.

Raja Petra Kamarudin

VOTERS in MALAYSIA finally managed to press the right buttons. In voting OUT JUDICIAL HYPOCRISY they have made it abundantly clear that they will not allow themselves to be yoked to an odious past riven by the jagged edge of class politics. That from now on, as principle challenger Mahathir may have realised, it will take a lot more to woo voters than just give to their desire of living a better life. And that, as PKR has learnt, the people of Malaysia and elsewhere will not be swayed merely by the promise of a rosy future fueled solely by the optimism and exuberance of youth.

The message is loud and clear: That in the still fertile political firmament if you're prepared to sow the seeds of integrity and diligence you will reap a rich harvest. And though it's always risky pronouncing judgment on the nature of a mandate so soon after the event – especially without the benefit of psephological hindsight – it's safe to say that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has done just that.

WE HAVE NO TIME CHASING EACH OTHER WITHOUT PURPOSE, GOAL OR STRATEGY!

Zaid has, therefore, selected the only escape route he could think of: blame ANWAR and PKR
Self-preservation is the default mode of the self-destructive. Because there is none, the current coalition will survive without either condemnation or confession. An occasional spot of PR-driven tinkering is all that is needed. zaid is trapped in an existential dilemma. He cannot blame himself for the wreck he has wrought. To do so would severely damage, if not abort, a political career born in genetic entitlement and wafted into that exhilarating but oxygen-thin ozone layer of celebrity. He cannot blame umno either, the favoured recourse of regional parties caught in a crisis, for he is a child of UMNO in more senses than one. He owes his job to the masters of the Capital,Power is the glue of politicsREADMORE

myMetro ~ Meraikan Pasangan Penzina Hollywood? Akai pi mana beb?

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 09:46 PM PST

Lembaga Pengarah Media Prima Bhd. terdiri dari Datuk Johan Jaaffar ( Pengerusi) · Dato' Amrin Awaluddin (GMD) · Dato' Sri Ahmad Farid Ridzuan (Group CEO, TV Network) · Shahril Ridza Ridzuan · Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye ·Dato' Abdul Kadir Deen · Datuk Ahmad A. Talib · Tan Sri Mohamed Jawhar Dato' Gumuri Hussain.

'Knowledge and information is power'.

Bawa bawalah berhenti jadi agen pelingkup masyarakat.

Dah semakin darurat dah ni!

Akai pi mana beb?

Many sides to Jeffrey Kitingan’s PKR ‘quit’ story

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 06:04 AM PST

By Joe Fernandez

COMMENT Several activists within the so-called inner circle of de facto PKR chief for Sabah and Sarawak, Jeffrey Kitingan, were visibly surprised and shocked when he did not announce his widely anticipated resignation from the party on Thursday. They had expected him to drop his "quit" shock bombshell in conjunction with the launch of the United Borneo Front (UBF), an NGO, at a Borneo Tea Party hailing the advent of the third force.

The Borneo Tea Party was inspired by the Boston Tea Party of 1773 which sparked the War of Independence in the 13 colonies of the fledging United States of America along the eastern seaboard.

Frankly, the Sabah PKR activists had no business to be at the Borneo Tea Party, uninvited, to drag their political party into the picture just because Jeffrey was there as well. UBF has nothing whatsoever to do with PKR. They completely misread the situation and tried to hijack an NGO event for their own hidden political agenda, if any.

One Sabah PKR activist claimed that at a Common Interest Group Malaysia (CigMA) meeting on Thursday at 12.30 pm, Jeffrey had confided in them that he would quit PKR in the afternoon. It's unlikely that Jeffrey would drag a PKR issue into a CigMA meeting. He's very careful in such matters. The meeting was to discuss participation in a Hindraf Makkal Sakthi seminar in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 23 on the plight of the marginalised communities in Malaysia.

The Sabah PKR activists had tipped off the press on the so-called Jeffrey resignation on Thursday and had even planted speculative stories along this line in Bernama, the national news agency, and various media. Wishful thinking and living on hope took a whole new meaning. The text messages circulated in their several hundreds, if not thousands, insisted that UBF was Jeffrey's new third force political vehicle and his ticket out of PKR.

Meanwhile, to ease the intense pressure on him, Jeffrey told Malaysiakini in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday that he was not quitting PKR the next day. He would focus only on the Borneo-based third force – UBF – during a scheduled ceramah and press conference.

The Malaysiakini report drew an immediate challenge from a former Sabah PKR division chief, now suspended for being involved in the abortive Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS). "You want to bet? Jeffrey will quit on Thursday. He will not tell you guys things that he will only tell us." But why would Jeffrey want to quit from PKR at a UBF function?

Earlier, these renegade elements in the inner circle reportedly "convinced" Jeffrey: "You just say that you are quitting PKR to focus on UBF." This was despite the man himself pointing out that his new vehicle was apolitical and that PKR should not be dragged into the picture. Besides, being ad hoc-like Hindraf Makkal Sakthi, UBF would not seek registration.

Keen interest

Even the Special Branch (SB) got carried away in the process, and was confused. It decided to have coffee with Jeffrey on Thursday morning to find out "what was really cooking".

The SB had always maintained a keen interest in Jeffrey since his Internal Security Act (ISA) detention days in the early 1990s over a purported plot to pull Sabah out of Malaysia. This would have been no mean feat had Jeffrey had really managed to pull this off, as alleged by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and there would have been no UBF and no Borneo Tea Party on Thursday.

After the resignation failed to materialise on Thursday, some "Jeffrey people" were seen visibly teary-eyed, openly consoling each other by saying: "He (Jeffrey) did not want the media to write the quit story and ignore UBF. It (the resignation) will come soon." The new rumour planted in one media is that Jeffrey would quit PKR within the next 48 hours. But resignation as to what purpose, it's by no means exactly clear.

The Borneo Post, the only one, even reported on Friday that Jeffrey had quit PKR to focus on UBF. That's not what Jeffrey said at the press conference on Thursday. In the face of persistent questioning by the media, his take was that he did not send in any resignation letter and that if he quits he would do so to tell them nicely why he's doing it. That's what he did late last year when he quit the party but was persuaded to come back after his resignation letter was reported by the media the day after he submitted it.

Another rumour is that he would quit PKR if he's not appointed Sabah PKR state chief on Dec 18. Jeffrey has already made it openly clear that he was not interested in the post or being vice-president again. He just wants to be left alone.

One visibly angry Jeffrey man stood behind the reporters during the UBF press conference, instigating them to focus their questions on PKR. He egged them on quietly: "Stupid old man! What third force? It's just nonsense. Also, what's this UBF?"

Another remark for the reporters to hear: "Tell him to go and kiss (de facto PKR chief) Anwar Ibrahim's ass."

The reporters, perplexed by this very unDusun open display of rebellion, ignored the remarks after Jeffrey responded to the first question on PKR: "You are asking the wrong question."

Nameless and faceless

The press, including several TV media from far and near, was visibly disappointed as well that Jeffrey did not quit PKR and dashed their hopes for a screaming headline. They were less interested in the third force and UBF but more focused on a Jeffrey resignation from PKR.

But having come sometimes from a considerable distance, the reporters could not go back empty-handed and face their editors without a story. They therefore reluctantly focused on UBF which they could not grasp fully in all its abstract, complex and sophisticated dimensions.

The third force of UBF was too nameless and faceless for their liking. They probably did not listen too attentively either during Jeffrey's hour-long presentation on UBF, to facilitate the third force, and were just waiting patiently and naively as it turned out, for their ceramah misery to end to pop the quit question.

A timely press statement and a hand-out on UBF, in any event, saved the day for them and they beat a hasty retreat, not even stopping by the buffet table to partake in what would be the first in a series of Borneo tea parties.

Jeffrey has explained, during his UBF ceramah, that the current political system and the two coalitions in the country – Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional (BN) – and the political party system had all miserably failed the people of Sabah and Sarawak. They, and any new political party, can only continue to fail.

This is where a Borneo-based third force comes in to educate, inspire and motivate the people into political action. UBF is the unstructured nucleus, the third force, the nameless and faceless cluster which cannot be manipulated and which will bring pressure to bear on the legislators, that is, Pakatan and BN.

The pressure will be on both BN and Pakatan to listen to the voice of the people in Sabah and Sarawak and reverse the re-colonisation of the two states or suffer the consequences in the likely event of a hung Parliament.

Outside the box

Hence, in Jeffrey's estimation, it does not make much sense to go from the frying pan (PKR) into the fire (new political party or BN). He probably prefers to put out the fire to let the pan cool.

Again, the bottomline is that the political system and the system of political parties have failed the people of Sabah and Sarawak.

Quite a number of Jeffrey's people – "we must fight for our rights" – are all gung-ho for a new political party, that is, either take over an existing political party – the Sabah People's Front (formerly Bersekutu) and Setia have been mentioned – or set up a new vehicle. This is not about Jeffrey, according to them, but the next generation. They can only think of a formal organisation and structure and want Jeffrey to spearhead a new party and gradually call it quits. These were among the very people who initiated the abortive PCS which caused no end of upheaval in the Sabah chapter of PKR.

Jeffrey wants to think outside the box and remains confident that the people will go along with him to put pressure on Pakatan and BN. Tell that to the people around him who can only think in terms of seats, candidates, elections and projects and have the almighty ringgit sign in their eyes.

There's also hope in Umno circles that Jeffrey's exit from PKR will lead to the collapse of PKR in Sabah and Sarawak.

Neo-Nazis' 1935 'Nuremberg Laws' in Israel

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 05:08 PM PST

And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword – Joshua 8:24-25 (KJV)

Nazism is well and truly alive … in Israel.

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

Psychology student Osama Ghanaim was woken early one night last month by a mob of 60 ultra-Orthodox Jews chanting ''Kill the Arabs'' outside his flat.

'Then they stoned my house,'' Ghanaim said this week. ''Rocks broke through my front windows.''

After the crowd dispersed, Ganaim, who is one of 1400 Arab Israeli students enrolled at Safed Academic College, in northern Israel, found a poster on his front door warning him to move out.

''The poster said they would set fire to the house, so I called the police,'' Ghanaim said. ''The police took four hours to come to my house, and they did nothing. I have not heard a thing from them since.''

One of Judaism's four holy cities, Safed has been the centre of roiling ethnic tensions in recent weeks after the city's state-sponsored
chief rabbi, Shmuel Eliyahu, issued a ruling forbidding Jews to rent flats or sell property to non-Jews because it ''causes evil and makes the public commit the sin of intermarriage''.

Only 70 Arab students live in private accommodation in Safed, a city of 32,000 Jews, one third of whom are ultra-Orthodox. Another 120 Arab students live in dormitories provided by the college, while the remaining 1200 commute from nearby Arab villages.

''Here at the college, we Arabs get on very well with the Jewish students,'' Ghanaim said. ''Many of us have Jewish girlfriends, and I think this really is the problem. The Jewish people who live in Safed don't like to see Jewish women with Arab men.''

Ghanaim moved out of his flat, and was able to find alternative accommodation without further harassment.

But a fellow student, Mustafa Ali, has not been so lucky.

Last Friday, two months after Ali's flat was damaged during a riot against Arab students living in Safed, he woke to discover that his car had been vandalised.

''All the windows were smashed, some of the tyres had been cut, and the words 'Arabs out' were spray-painted on the front of the car,'' he said. ''What is next? Are we made to wear a green crescent on our coats so everyone knows we are Arab Muslims? Why are these people not being stopped?''

Ali and Ghanaim took the Herald on a short tour of their campus, identifying sites where anti-Arab graffiti had been painted over by college administrators. ''Mostly things like 'Death to Arabs' and 'Arabs go home','' said Ghanaim.

Pointing to several benches in the park next to the college, Ghanaim said they had been smeared with the words 'Seating for Jews Only'.

Despite Rabbi Eliyahu's edict sending shockwaves through Israel's secular political establishment - with many commentators likening it to Nazi Germany's anti-Semitic Nuremberg Laws of 1935 - it received the immediate backing of 75 rabbis across Israel.

At last count more than 300 rabbis - most of them in positions funded by the state - have added their names to the edict.

''A short perusal of any history book, and of course Wikipedia, will immediately lead to the parallel laws and regulations enacted by the Nazis against the Jews,'' the columnist Ruth Sinai wrote this week in the mass selling newspaper Maariv.

Israeli Jews offended by the actions of the state rabbis have been further angered by their apparent immunity from the law.

''The silence of the law-enforcement agencies towards displays of racism is not a sign of liberalism or tolerance; it is a sign of weakness,'' said the Israeli commentator Boaz Okon.

Yet, after two months in which a host of discriminatory laws were passed by the Israeli parliament, including a loyalty oath demanded of all new immigrants to Israel, a ban on Arab tour guides in the city of Jerusalem, and a ban on all organisations that question the Jewish character of the state of Israel, others argue that it is a natural extension of the current status quo. ''Fascism has raised its head in Israeli society,'' said the Arab Israeli MP Ahmed Tibi.

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass – 1 Samuel 15:3 (KJV)
