No longer can you be just a journalist, bureaucrat, teacher, manager, filmmaker, designer or model. You have to be the best! And since all cant be the best, you fan out in other spheres, still in search of that elusive star status.

An explosion of media and peep-hole journalism has ensured celebrities are no more starry specks on the firmament, but an everyday reality within our living rooms. Gossip columns, television footage and now mobile updates give us minute by excruciating minute updates of every move a celebrity makes. You may not be aware that your neighbours have been blessed with a grandchild, but you will have every detail of the labour pains Sanjay Dutts wife Manya underwent and in what order her twins decided to enter the world!
With an overload of celebrity information, where we get to examine not just the starry moments of our icons, but also their feet of clay, is it surprising that each one of us is encouraged to nudge awake the star within us Till the time celebrities were shrouded by mystique, those beyond the charmed circle could only sigh and admire. But once market demands forced celebs to step out and mingle, public aspirations for celebrityhood skyrocketed.
And media has gallantly risen to meet the public demand. Numerous reality shows on television give all an equal chance to win their spot in the sun. Perhaps there is a strange comfort in unseating icons. For when an idol is discovered to have feet of clay, the pressure on the rest of us lessens to a great degree.
Just a thought I leave you withIsnt it far better to live an ordinary life well, minus the pressures and insecurity of celebrityhood Amongst all the clamour for stardust, doesnt a peaceful, content-with-your-lot existence seem an exciting proposition Is it even a possibility any more.READMORE Kuan Yew vs Obama idiots–HOLY SHIT,' is not the WORLD we live

"Maka, Nabi Kamu Adalah Dr Mahathir Muhammad"

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 11:51 AM PST

Malam tadi entah macamana, saya telah berdebat dgn salah seorang juak UMNO dalam facebook (pakai FB punya chat). Banyaklah topik yang kami perdebatkan. Namun, saya lihat sendiri betapa dangkalnya hujjah juak2 UMNO ni. Benda senang pun tak nampak.

Nak jadi cerita masuklah bab tuduhan liwat/Qazaf. Saya kata, saya tak boleh tuduh orang berzina tanpa 4 orang saksi sebaab itu ajaran Nabi saya, yakni Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Dia kata Nabi dia pun Nabi Muhammad.

Harap semua ahli UMNO beringat.

Wallahualam

Kahwin Muslimah Maghribi ~ tanda wanita Melayu Malaysia perlu sedar diri!

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 09:31 AM PST

Ya! Tahi bintang adalah! Perasan diri bagus padahal mentah jahil muraqqab!

Inilah sebabnya saya seronok membaca berita laporan myMetro ini

Alhamdulillah!

Syukur Alhamdulillah!

Selamat Datang ke Malaysia!

American lies are Jewish lies. Since Jews control every important aspect of our lives through banking, finance, law, war, food & drugs and entertainment, we are literally floating on a reservoir of truth blocked by a dam of lies that keeps us from understanding anything about those several subjects, among many others. But now I'm thinking that we can break the dam that contains this reservoir, let out the truth and produce tremendous energy, which we would see in the form of anger. Anti-Jewish anger. When dams break we all need to get to high ground or be swept away. Big dams are impressive things but I think rivers are supposed to run. Truth also is meant to flow, not be dammed up

1. Until 1965, Singapore was part of Malaysia. Singapore declared its independence on August 9, 1965.
2. Impressed by the Israeli defence system when visiting Israel in 1959, Singapore's 1st Minister of Defence, Goh Keng Swee (GKS) later invited Mordecai Kidron, Israeli Ambassador to Thailand, over to Singapore to help set up its army. By end- 1965, Israeli teams from Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) began arriving to help Singapore build its army, Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) and the Defence Ministry.
3. GKS had to be mindful of the sensitivities of neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia, with predominantly Muslim populations. Hence utmost secrecy surrounded the presence and activities of the Israelis, who had specially asked to be referred to as 'Mexicans' to avoid having their cover blown. Israel imposed a total blackout on the story and the secret was preserved. Until the other side could no longer contain itself.
4. In his book, "From Third World to First: The Singapore Story 1965-2000," published in 2000, Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's first prime minister, disclosed the secret that had been kept for almost 40 years: It was the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that established the Singaporean army.
5. Singapore's army is today considered the strongest and most advanced of the military forces in Southeast Asia. The alliance between the Israeli and Singaporean defense establishments intensified and expanded. Along with the two tracks of compulsory service and career army, Singapore also adopted the IDF's model of reserve service.
6. In January 1968, Singapore decided to create an armored corps. In great secrecy, an agreement was signed for the purchase of 72 AMX-13 light tanks from IDF surplus. It was a bold decision: Malaysia, the country's large neighbor, didn't have tanks. On Independence Day, August 9, 1969, a major surprise awaited the invited guests, including the defense minister of Malaysia: 30 tanks rolled past the reviewing stand.
7. In a book entitled "The Israeli Connection: Whom Israel arms and why", Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi (1988, pg26) wrote, "According to the CIA (1979), Singapore is the location of the main Mossad station in Asia. General Efrain Poran, a former military adviser to (Israeli) PM Begin, served a s Defense adviser to the Singapore Government (Kartin, 1984). In 1969, 45 Israeli advisers were on active duty in Singapore."
8. Israel Shamir wrote, "Singapore has some similarities to the Jewish state: authoritarian rule, vast employment of foreign guest workers, aggressive stance towards their integrated neighbours. A great friend of Israel and the Far East base of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, Singapore is an important link in the global system of currency trading, an integral part of the New World Order, a supporter of the US and Australia. ". "By taking a leaf from Israel's book, Singapore declared its 'right' to wage war on Malaysia if the country hikes the price of the water it sells to the island.".
9. He added,"Singapore poisons the minds of the Malaysian Chinese and encourages their immigration to the island. It is a very unnecessary thing, for the Malaysian Chinese community is well integrated in their country."
10. I came across an interesting write-up (June 2009) by Matthias Chang in his website futurefastworward, who couldn't have summed it better: "…the Chinese saw through his (Lee Kuan Yew) devious schemes and rejected emphatically PAP's politics. Lee Kuan Yew thought he could out-maneuver Tunku and become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. But Tunku beat him at his own game and he was expelled from Malaysia. Considering himself to be intellectually superior to Tunku, he could not accept that he was defeated so resoundingly by Tunku. He was devastated. When he announced that Singapore would be separated from Malaysia, he broke down uncontrollably. This was only to be expected as his dreams of being the Overlord of Malaysia, comprising of Peninsula Malaya, Sarawak and Sabah was shattered and he has to be content with being a bully of a city state! Given such a traumatic experience, and possessing a vindictive disposition, it is a given that Lee Kuan Yew would harbour a secret agenda against Malaysia. And over the years, he has sowed and continues to sow discord among the races in Malaysia."
11. Matthias Chang continued," It was reported that one of the reasons for his recent visit to Malaysia is to find out how the Chinese are faring in Malaysia. What arrogance." "Why is there a need for such an elaborate programme – meetings with the prime minister, the deputy prime minister, an audience with the Agong, the Sultan of Perak and more meetings with other political leaders?" "No country is perfect and devoid of problems. We had our fair share, but we are better off without Lee Kuan Yew. " Well put, Chang!
12. Chang again warns "Malaysians must be vigilant. Lee Kuan Yew cannot be trusted and while Singapore is our neighbour and a member of ASEAN, we must never forget that Singapore has never ceased to dictate terms to Malaysia whenever she perceives Malaysia as being weak. Do not forget the 1997 financial crisis and how Singapore treated us when we were in need.Today, Singapore is reeling under the weight of the global financial tsunami, but Lee Kuan Yew is behaving as if Singapore has a bottomless vault of financial goodies, ever ready to invest in Malaysia as a favour. We don't need Singapore's money! Malaysia doesn't need any favours from Singapore! And Malaysians have no need for a Lee Kuan Yew telling us how to develop our country!".
13. Last but not least, let me share with you a thought from someone in a website posted in 2008. Maka tidaklah hairan Malaysia Today server dia dah relocated di Singapore-based.( Al-Azharri Siddiq/popcorn-km.blogspot).

THAT WACKY MAHATHIR!

Trained as a medical doctor and skilled in politics, there is no doubt that he is an intelligent man. But events in Malaysia may help explain Mahathir's ridiculous rants. After developing a dislike for the policies of Anwar Ibrahim, the man he was grooming to take over as PM, Mahathir fabricated charges of sodomy in 1998 and had Anwar imprisoned. He chose who he thought would be a safe replacement, and then stepped down in 2003, handing the reigns to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Badawi pursued his own policies, at times rankling Mahathir, who found himself sidelined by his party, UMNO (after clearly hoping for a position similar to Singapore's Lee Kwan Yew, who after stepping down as Prime Minister took the position of Mentor Minister, and who still plays a significant role in Singaporean politics). Despite trying to elbow his way back into the room, Mahathir remained marginalized. So he turned to the one outlet where he could still appear to be a player, the blogosphere, and where READMORE Careless Whisper ISREAL TO LEE KUAN YEW ANWAR IBRAHIM MUST BE STOPPED WHATEVER IT TAKES THE SINGAPORE ISRAEL LOVE AFFAIR

Anwar Ibrahim's Wikileaks

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 04:32 AM PST

I read the news yesterday, and it's an aspect of Anwar Ibrahim I have never really been interested in, well, for a couple of reasons. One, so long as it was consensual between adults then it bothers me not; two, it's news that came about from a series of "I was told by …, who was told by …, who heard it from …, " so it's technically not factual, hearsay evidence so to speak. So what's the big deal?

But undoubtedly it's humongous news in Malaysia, depressingly so for the PKR camp and maybe a joyful revelation for BN.

But let's examine in more details where or who the source was. The Yanks heard it from the Aussies; the Aussies heard it from the Sings, in particular LKY; the Sings claimed they extracted it from 'technical' intelligence, meaning electronic interception or even land line eavesdropping.

[don't think the Sings are above that; my Uncs told me that in earlier days, Malaysian military people on holidays in Sing had their briefcases, suitcases and bags covertly opened if these were left unattended in hotel rooms. How did they know? Some played James Bond wakakaka].

As Anwar himself said, the source could well be Special Branch (SB). Disinformation by the SB means they deliberately issued a transmission, knowing it would be intercepted (and wanting it to be intercepted), that carried the so-called 'intelligence'.

So that disinformation could have been one of the following:

(a) S: "Datuk, he shacked me liao" on a cell phone, or
(b) MH: "Dapat dia. Dia dah hentam S sehingga sai (sh*t) pun ta'ada lagi"
(c) etc.

But if that's the case, and the act was penetrated perpetuated, then why have the court and government medical examiner been playing silly buggers in refusing to provide Anwar's lawyers with access to the medical records, etc. Their unfair actions have lent the public the impression they don't have a leg in their case to stand on.

Thus I am inclined to believe that more need to be investigated, that is, assuming you're interested in that sort of stuff.

Mind you, the above arguments doesn't mean I support Anwar Ibrahim wakakaka. I just want to be fair.

N43,”An Independants Goldmine.?”

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 03:57 AM PST

Let's have coffee would be the usual call amongst politicians. This time it was lets go for "Ice-Lemon Tea at Secret Recipe'. Is it the same thing? Could it be just another approach and a very "clever way 'by some members from PRS Ngemah as they invited audie61.

Are they putting cold water already even before sitting me down to have another round of  political chit-chat?  Orders given to the waiters for Ice Lemon tea and first thing on their agenda reads,"Winnable candidates says PM and not only the grassroots or warlords will have much say." You Heard it right..?

Someone in the PRS group from Ngemah interjected and said his piece,"before he was clean he still losts and today I ask you and he will know what we mean if we are ask him again,"Has he been cleansed? It was quite a show of frustration from the BN grassroot committee members but what they have said is unpublishable.

It is really up to the BN/PRS election committee to choose their own candidate or else they will again suffer the same fate. audie61 will not take sides. Alex Vincent the 2006 candidate has still the upper hand in being the "chosen and annointed candidate" of PRS/BN.

However there are others who are not only quietly campaigning to have their names on the final lists. Those who are not in the party will not know them or even crossed their paths and they are wanting to be heard by the BN leadership. Amongst them are Dr. Joseph Jawa Kendawang and also Peter Telajan .

The PM at the BN convention has given them a new lease of life and he clearly said,"Give me the winnable candidates ,is it so difficult to ask?" This has sparked into life some glimmer of hope for those intending candidates or those who have high hopes of been chosen. They can campaign but they must know how to " GET ONTO THAT FINAL LISTS "

PKR candidates likewise would also be trying to impress their election committee members on how to be the candidate for their party. Sources on the ground has informed us that Richard Lias is the most likely candidate for PKR/Pakatan. It could also be Ellison Ludan.

PCM would field their incumbent assemblyman in YB Gabriel Adeh @ Adit Ak Demong. Will he be able to fend off all the pretenders to the throne of N43 Ngemah? Our source already cautioned us and that with justs a little " more help"  we would not be surprise if Gabriel retains his seat. It will not be easy though as there are others who are more than capable of putting in or create another surprise.

The names of  Dr. Robert Menua , William Baja Jap, Tan Seliong,Warren Aris and others will be watching closely on how the situation on the ground unfolds. As election day draws near more and more dirt and issues are being raised or uncovered.

The question now on everyone's lips are "Winnable candidates" and N43 is no exception.  The people will know who will move their agenda forward especially it involves their constituency and they will not be fooled no more. It is already a borderless world and all required information will be able to reach the ground. Gone are the days where there is "NO CHOICE" of credible and winnable candidates.

We have covered indepth in previous articles on N43 and do click to find out more on this constituency:-

The jostling for the right instead of the winnable candidates will and might just open the floodgates for the right to contest as Independants for some. In some countries independants have and are considered the third force and in N43 the mood of independant winning might just happen.

IS IT A GOLDMINE…???

Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim DID it: Says Lee Kuan Yew!

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 05:30 AM PST

You can fool some of the people some of the time.....BUT!

WikiLeaks told The Sun-Herald of Australia that Singapore's intelligence services and Singapore elder statesman Lee Kuan Yew told Australia's Office of National Assessment (ONA) in their exchanges that Brother Anwart Bin Ibrahim (BABI) indeed committed the buggery that he was accused of.

The WikiLeaks cable that deals BABI's sodomy case, dated November 2008 and released exclusively to The Sun-Herald by WikiLeaks, states: ''The Australians said that Singapore's intelligences services and [Singaporean elder statesman] Lee Kuan Yew have told ONA in their exchanges that opposition leader Anwar 'did indeed commit the acts for which he is currently indicted'.'' BABI probably knew it was a "set up" but did it anyways, according to the report.

If he knows it was a set up and did it anyway, well then this guy is not well up there and indeed a serial buggerer and he should come clean and seek treatment and may be the rakyat will forgive him! Read more here......and .....here!

Wikileaks ~ Is Julian Assange a criminal for disclosing 'secrets' of the powers that be?

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 01:31 AM PST

Julian Assange. The whistleblower of the century. He is now being held in solitary confinement in a British prison because of rape allegations made against him in Sweden. Read about the case here.

But I seriously believe that he was actually arrested for blowing the lid off the hundreds of thousands of secret documents belonging to the US State Department of the Federal Government of the United States of America, one of the world's superpowers!

Countries like the USA, UK, many European countries and even Asian nations like here in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, etc whose federal governments have been left reeling in shock and dismay at Wikileaks for disclosing their treachery and espionage against many other countries and exposing certain individuals who play major roles in the world and regional political scenes.

Every major government that has secrets which were kept under lock and key or thought that those secrets were safely encrypted away or disposed off in ways that would make any James Bond movie cringe with shame are shuddering and shivering in fear for the way Wikileaks practically exposed them for the whole wide cyber world to see and know as to who did what to whom and how?

I have been reading interesting exposes by Wikileaks which have in turn been published by major newspapers of the world who have managed to get their hands on some of those leaked reports and documents.

There is a report by WAtoday, an Australian newspaper which states today that a leaked US State Department cable about Singaporean Intelligence officers had shared with their Australian counterparts information where they believed Malaysian Opposition PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim had engaged in the conduct for which he now again stands accused?

President Barack Obama Jr is said to be extremely displeased with Wikileaks for its dumping of hundreds of thousands of US secret classified documents that originated from the US State Department and other agencies which have been exposed for the whole world to see?

Go here to read those secret cables. Its called Cablegate. Quite appropriately.

I doubt as to whether you really have the time to go through each and every cable that is now online?

The report states that there are 251,287 cables altogether comprising 261,276,536 words!

The cables cover from 28th December 1966 to 28th February 2010 and originate from 274 US embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions.

No wonder that most of those in Washington and their counterparts in most of the world's nations are losing sleep as to who is going to end up stripped butt naked so to speak and exposed for all their secret missions and treacheries committed against worldwide?

In the world of espionage, no secrets can really be kept as one. One way or another, someone, sometime, somehow is gonna get his or her hands on some juicy all exposing document or report and he or she will be able to grasp whomsoever that secret implicates or exposes by his or her whatever and squeeze the living daylights out of the culprit!

Each and everyone of us have our own secrets. Some may think that we can escape prosecution here on Earth by destroying whatever evidence there may be but many do not realize that as human beings, we are always being monitored 24/7 by Allahu Rabbi and His Malaikats.

Julian Assange may not be an angel but he is a very good reminder to all those who are in power or have been so that all that they thought had been disposed off to ensure that their tracks have been covered are in for a royal jolt once their misdeeds are out exposed in the 'crimelight'!

Yup. I am sure that if the same thing were to happen here in Bolehland, many of those politicians and big shots are gonna have a strange case of shrinking gonads and cajones! :P

Just like what Julian Assange has done to the US State Department, many of our bloggers like the Unspinners, Rocky Bru, Just Read, Big Dog, GAP, Papa Gomo and many others do sock it to the Malaysian powers that be every now and then!

As a result, many of these bloggers are both celebrated and despised by many at the same time for daring to expose the various wrongdoings of the political bigwigs.

Life is like that!

You can't have it your way all the time. You screw up someone's life, it will just be a matter of time before you get your comeuppance!

This is the karma of life. One who does another harm will not live in relative peace before you get your share of hell while you are still alive.

For those who are aware of this reality of life, they will try their level best not to do injustice to others. If they erred and did mess up another's life, they will not hesitate to correct such errors and ask for the victim's forgiveness and make amends.

Many however do not subscribe to this law of our faith. They put up a grand ole show of being righteous and morally upright when in reality they are just devils in disguise.

Bloggers of Malaysia intend to correct the imbalance that takes place in our life here in Bolehland by exposing the ones who misuse their positions and take the nation for a ride.

There are many parasites and remora's sticking to the butts of the powers and be and these vermins in turn suck the living daylights and juices of those ones heady with power and all such grandiose trappings of life that they imagine their selfs to be the gift of God to the nation!!!

I'll expose those remora's later but I am sure that many of us already know as to who revels in such glorifications and can't resist appearing in full page adverts and so on with artificially enhanced beautification procedures meant to portray them as amongst this nation's finest?

Just like one glamor puss who appears practically daily in Kosmo in full page self adverts! Phew! Makes me wanna throw up everytime I come to that page!

We need to have our own Julian Assange make his appearance here in Bolehland!

If there is such a person out there in this Mamluk al Malaisie, please...please make our day!

We will garland you with the best of floral bouquets our ringgits can buy!

Insya Allah!

Julian Assange. May justice be with you.

Kerajaan Singapura turut membantu kempen UMNO menyebarkan fitnah liwat Anwar Ibrahim

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 01:52 AM PST

Hai lah UMNO. Nampakknya lepas ni boleh lah UMNO dan PAP berpegang tangan kerana saling bekerjasama menentang Pakatan Rakyat.

Berita ini menmberi konfirmasi berkaitan dengan maklumat Tulang Besi beberapa bulan dahulu bahawa Kerajaan Singapura tidak mahu Anwar Ibrahim menjadi Perdana Menteri Malaysia. (Rujuk artikel Tulang Besi bertajuk "Singapura Sokong UMNO/BN")

"The Australians said that Singapore's intelligence services ... told [the Office of National Intelligence] in their exchanges that [Mr Anwar] 'did indeed commit the acts for which he is currently indicted'.''

It added that the Singaporeans told the office they made this assessment on the basis of "technical intelligence'' which most likely meant intercepted communications.

The office also said that Anwar's political enemies had engineered the circumstances from which the sodomy charges arose.

''[The office] assessed, and their Singapore counterparts concurred, 'it was a set-up job and he probably knew that, but walked into it anyway','' the cable stated, according to the paper.

Akan terus relevankah BN?

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 01:10 AM PST

PKR slams Singapore for deliberate disinformation on Anwar

The online site Wikileak's disclosure of the sodomy charges against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim fabricated by the Malaysian Special Branch is a serious matter as this is the surest sign yet that the persecution stems from a conspiracy at the highest levels.

What is more shocking is the fact that the leadership of the Republic of Singapore has chosen to partake in this deception by deliberately spreading disinformation to an Australian intelligence agency, the Office of National Assessments (ONA).

We must ask why the Singaporean intelligence services chose to collude with Malaysia's Special Branch in spreading such lies about Anwar. The fact that Australian Members of Parliament, along with other members of the international community have been questioning the independence of the persecution of Anwar heightens such suspicions.

It should furthermore be pointed out that the cables exposed by Wikileaks are essentially information collected by third parties – like Australia – that were then shared to the US State Department. As a result, the cables contain all manner of information – including personal opinions and hearsay and hence are far from reliable.

I hope the 'technical intelligence' mentioned in Wikileaks could be revealed to the public since that was the basis that the Singaporean intelligence claimed led to their conclusion.

At the end of the day, the current campaign of persecution and vilification against Anwar is no different from the first: both rely on the abuse of the judicial process and only the reliance of flimsy medical evidence by the persecution. This, if nothing else should prove that this case is politically motivated and engendered by a conspiracy at the highest levels.

Ampu mengampu - cara mencapai kejayaan

Posted: 12 Dec 2010 03:18 AM PST

Dalam UMNO 'the good and quantifiable leaders' sudah tiada lagi.

Wikileaks on Anwar

The following piece is in today's Sydney Morning Herald papers. The online article is available here: Malaysian opposition leader Anwar's political sex trap. Anwar must be thanking his lucky stars that this article came after his Australia tour last month in Sydney and Canberra or he will have a tough time answering!

I can imagine Sukma, Azizan and Saiful smiling now. Justice is heading their way. But I can also sense Sankara Nair rubbing his head thinking, "oh no, what should I do now?"

I might be wrong, but you get what I mean. When can we start the Courtroom trial?

Don't worry. Nurul Izzah and Wan Azizah have a lot to answer too. They will join you in Court, brother!

Whatever it is, Nik Aziz won't know what Wikileaks is. Someone please brief him before the PR convention. Just in case he plans to declare Anwar as Khalifah or something. (big enough to get your attention, I hope)

Philip Dorling and Nick McKenzie December 12, 2010

MALAYSIAN opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy charges are the result of a ''set- up job'' which the politician ''walked into'', according to an assessment by Australia's peak intelligence agency. A leaked US state department cable reveals that Singaporean intelligence officials told their Australian counterparts that Dr Anwar engaged in the conduct for which he is accused, a claim he has steadfastly denied.

Australia's Office of National Intelligence also states the conduct was the result of entrapment by Dr Anwar's enemies.

The cable is one of several that deals with the highly explosive private views of senior Singaporean officials, including claims that:

>Malaysia is in a ''confused and dangerous'' state due to its incompetent politicians;

>Thailand's political elite are dogged by ''corruption'' and the country's crown prince is ''very erratic and easily subject to influence'';

>Japan and India were struggling to deal with China's influence due to their ''stupid'' behaviour;

> and some Asian leaders wanted the junta to retain power in Burma to ensure the country's stability.

The cable that deals with Dr Anwar's sodomy case, dated November 2008 and released exclusively to The Sun-Herald by WikiLeaks, states: ''The Australians said that Singapore's intelligences services and [Singaporean elder statesman] Lee Kuan Yew have told ONA in their exchanges that opposition leader Anwar 'did indeed commit the acts for which he is currently indicted'.''

The document states the Singaporeans told ONA they made this assessment on the basis of ''technical intelligence'', which is likely to relate to intercepted communications.

The ONA is also recorded as saying that Dr Anwar's political enemies engineered the circumstances from which the sodomy charges arose.

''ONA assessed, and their Singapore counterparts concurred, 'it was a set-up job and he probably knew that, but walked into it anyway','' the cable states.

Sodomy is illegal in Malaysia and carries a jail sentence of up to 20 years.

Dr Anwar, a former Malaysian deputy prime minister, was jailed in 1999 on charges of corruption and sodomy after a falling out with then prime minister Mahathir Mohamad.

He later had his sodomy conviction overturned and was freed from jail in 2004.

In 2008 he was charged again with sodomy. Dr Anwar has maintained the case against him is fabricated and trumped up by his political enemies who fear his political resurgence.

The case against Dr Anwar has drawn widespread international criticism and has included some bizarre twists. Earlier this year, a prosecutor in the sodomy trial was dropped after she was accused of having an affair with the star witness.

The witness, 25-year- old Mohamad Saiful Bukhari Azlan, worked as an aide in Dr Anwar's office. He has accused the 62-year-old of sodomising him in an apartment in Malaysia.

Earlier this month, Australian politician Nick Xenophon travelled to Malaysia to observe Dr Anwar's ongoing court proceedings, which were adjourned.

In December 2009, a month after ONA's brief assessment of Dr Anwar's case, the Malaysian criticised Kevin Rudd for not meeting him during his visit to Australia. He accused Mr Rudd of appeasing Malaysia's ''corrupt leaders'' by snubbing him.

''He [Mr Rudd] was too obsessed with interests of getting the two countries together [and therefore] appease Malaysia's corrupt leaders,'' Dr Anwar said at the time.

The arrogance of power: the death knell of Barisan Nasional

PRESS STATEMENT BY TAN SRI DATUK ROBERT PHANG MIOW SIN. Justice of Peace

Chairman – Social Care Foundation

Supporting the Prime Minister's reminder to BN and all Malaysians

On Tuesday 30th November, I gave a Press Conference touching on the public perception of the MACC and A-G Chambers especially about selective prosecution. I mentioned the failure, at that time, to take action in Dato'Seri Khir Toyo's case and in the Malaysian Airlines case which involved losses of RM 8 billion. I also expressed concern about public outcry over the conduct of A-G Gani Patail consorting with En Shahidan Shafie in a manner that give rise to grave suspicion. There has been public exposure that En Shahidan is the proxy of former Malaysia Airlines Chairman, Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli.

My statement was received badly by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Y.B. Dato' Seri Mohd Nazri Aziz who blasted me for raising the concerns of the lay public. The Senior Minister had used very harsh words on me and called me "a man in the street".

My response on Thursday 2nd December reminded YB Dato Seri Nazri to be circumspect and not to be arrogant.

As God would have willed it, on Sunday 5th December, Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak cautioned the 13 BN party components about the four "political diseases" – delusion, amnesia, inertia and arrogance – which he said could crush the ruling coalition.

The PM's reminder that Ministers and BN leaders must not be ARROGANT is very timely. Government leaders who feel they are not accountable to the ordinary man in the street would make the citizenry have not only disdain for the government but that would also sow the seeds of hatred towards the BN Government. In the end the BN Government will be alienated from the people and that can only spell disaster at the ballot box.

On Monday 6th December, former Selangor Menter Besar, Dato Seri Khir Toyo, was charged by the MACC for an offence under s. 165 of the Penal Code. The public saw that none less than the AG Tan Sri Gani Patail himself turned up in court. This public display of firmness in taking action without fear or favour is certainly commendable.

On Thursday 9/12/2010, the Prime Minister assured the public that the prosecution of Dato Seri Khir Toyo is not just a public gimmick (sandiwara). As Chairman of Social Care Foundation and Panel Adviser to the MACC, I fully support the Prime Minister's assurance. I urge the public not to doubt the government's seriousness in combatting corruption. I urge the opposition not to play pollitics in such matters. The public must have faith that the MACC is doing its best in eradicating corruption against the big fish and the small fry. The public must therefore support the MACC's efforts instead of running them down. I commend the MACC Chief Commissioner, Dato' Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed, who has shown resolve and consistency in this regard.

Unfortunately, public perception is also important. I am therefore compelled to voice out the public skepticisim why Khir Toyo was charged under the Penal Code and not under the MACC Act, since the investigation was made by the MACC and not the Police. The public has not forgotten that the MACC Act was passed specifically to facilitate easier investigation and prosecution for corruption offences. Foremost in the public's mind is why was Khir Toyo not charged for corruption.

The public must not be left with a lingering mind especially since the MACC and the AG Chambers had invoked the more draconian corruption provisions in the predecessor act to the MACC Act when charging Dato' Ramli Yusuff and Lawyer Rosli Dahlan. Dato' Ramli has since been acquitted. It is now shown that En Rosli was just a laywer needed as a witness. Strange enough, it is an open secret tht MACC's recomendation to withdraw the charge against Rosli Dahlan, yet the A-G has not responded. The public is asking - Why is that the case? There is widespread public suspicion that Rosli is being persecuted for his role in the Malaysia Airlines case.

This is fuelled by the reluctance of AG Gani Patail to institute prosecution for the RM8 billion losses suffered by Malaysia Airlines during the time of Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli. The public is concerned with allegations surrounding A-G Tan Sri Gani Patail's personal conduct in consorting with the proxy of Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli during a recent Haj pilgrimage. The photographs and documents that have been in the public domain seem very convincing. The AG's silence has further fuelled this suspicion. The AG cannot continuously stonewall the public. The consequences can be adverse on the Government.

The root cause of all this suspicion is the credibility of the A-G Chambers, in particular of the personal integrity of AG Gani Patail himself. As a public officer, the AG's conduct, both public and personal, must be beyond reproach. That is the root problem. For so long as there is suspicion about the personal conduct of AG Gani Patail as described above and it is not addressed, all sincere efforts by the Government and the MACC will be futile. It will be regarded as mere public relations exercise or slogans. It will be unfortunate if the AG himself becomes a stumbling block to the Government's and the MACC's efforts to portray a Bersih. Cekap, Amanah Government. It is like the saying "Ketam cuba mengajar anaknya berjalan lurus".

Therefore, AG Gani Patail must heed the PM's call not to suffer delusion, amnesia, inertia and arrogance. In that regard, I invite the AG to respond to all my earlier calls that he respond and answer these allegations. The public needs to be satisfied in order for the Government to regain the public trust that it is serious in the eradication of corruption and in achieving Justice for All.

"HUMBLENESS IS GOOD VIRTUE, ARROGANCE SHALL FALL, THE MEEK WILL RULE THE WORLD".

‘People-friendly’ halfway house back to Pakatan

Posted: 11 Dec 2010 11:59 AM PST

By Joe Fernandez

COMMENT Now we have heard it all. Malim Nawar state assemblyman, Keshvinder Singh, whose days in the seat are apparently numbered, has re-branded himself in a bold move as "people- friendly". This is taking a distance from the Barisan Nasional and the brink. It's just a short hop, skip and jump from "BN-friendly" to "people friendly".

He had declared himself as "BN friendly" in the wake of his June 15 defection from the DAP amidst allegations of money problems which he has since denied as "bulls..t".

If Keshvinder is to be believed, there's now some stigma of sorts attached to being "BN-friendly", a euphemism for getting the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to look the other way as is the case with Umno and BN legislators. Keshvinder's re-branding may yet persuade other defectors from Pakatan Rakyat to similarly declare themselves as "people-friendly". It would be a halfway house of sorts on their way back to Pakatan since the question of BN fielding them at the next general election does not arise. The unkind would label it as "reverse frogging".

If that's the case, it's unlikely that the People's Progressive Party (PPP) would be very interested in Keshvinder. Also, it's not the done thing to invite political lepers into the party especially if, as in this case, it will incur the people's wrath. Besides, there's no guarantee that Malim Nawar will be handed over to PPP by BN for the next outing.

The bottomline for Keshvinder is that he's still friendly to all, including the opposition alliance, except some in the DAP. He thinks that his political foes in the DAP are spreading the rumours that he has been neglecting the people in his constituency. Hence no doubt his re-branding purportedly in preparation for his entry into the PPP where he does not mind being treated as a nobody. He won't be demanding any posts in PPP unlike in DAP which he left because he was "marginalised and treated as a nobody". Why accept from PPP what he was not willing to tolerate in DAP?

There seems to be some truth in the DAP's allegations against Keshvinder. There's no smoke without fire. Of course, the DAP has a more colourful way of describing Keshvinder since his defection but it would be kinder not to mention the venom reserved for him by not only the party but by the people as well. They swear that they are just waiting to punish him at the next general election.

A hung Parliament

Keshvinder isn't the first frog in politics in the country. He won't be the last either if the next general election produces, as expected, a hung Parliament. But that's a different story.

Sabah is a precedent of what's likely to happen to Keshvinder and the other "BN-friendly" legislators at the next general election if they don't return soon to Pakatan. Those who jumped ship from the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) in 1994 were rejected by the voters at the subsequent general election.

Among those punished was Jeffrey Kitingan, the younger brother of PBS president Joseph Pairin Kitingan. In fact, as it subsequently emerged, it was Pairin himself who instructed Jeffrey to sacrifice himself for a while and be the eyes and ears of the PBS in other political parties.

Unless Keshvinder and the other "BN friendly" ex-Pakatan legislators are into politics in the abstract, complex and sophisticated mould of the Kitingans, it's unlikely that they would remain relevant and last the pace as Jeffrey has done especially if they veer towards the BN.

Even today, the suspicion lingers that the Kitingan brothers are working hand-in-glove and that "Jeffrey's politics is all about protecting PBS", a party he co-founded with his elder brother in 1985.

Much water has flowed under the bridge since 1994. Even then the speculation in the grapevine continues that Jeffrey would return to PBS in a jiffy if he can take over from Pairin as party president. That would require Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's blessings as Pairin is reported to have advised Jeffrey recently amidst rumours that the elder Kitingan was not exactly in the pink of health.

Political lifeline

Jeffrey is more inclined to remain, as at present, the de facto PKR chief in Sabah and Sarawak, according to his inner circle.

Jeffrey has dismissed the speculation as "sheer nonsense" when it was levelled at him in public not so long ago by PKR Batu Sapi division chief Hassnar Ebrahim based on the "blood is thicker than water" link.

Pakatan co-ordinator Zaid Ibrahim might offer the "BN- or people-friendly" defectors a more modest political lifeline of sorts when he launches his new party, dubbed "PKR Baru" or Parti Keadilan Baru, next month. There's space here for all those who defected from PKR and DAP to become "BN-friendly". Apparently, they had been having second thoughts since then on their haste to jump from the frying pan (Pakatan) into the fire (BN).

Zaid's new outfit is likely to seek and obtain membership in Pakatan with the backing of DAP and PAS, if not de facto PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim. The majority of PKR members can be expected to welcome Zaid in Pakatan since the alternative would be his reluctant defection to BN. The mood in the opposition alliance is for a closing of ranks. This calls for the return of the prodigal sons, Keshvinder and Zaid & Co, since BN remains as from before the common enemy.

Quest for "winnable" candidates is on

Posted: 11 Dec 2010 08:07 PM PST

Salam! I wrote a piece for my Sunday column which appeared in the New Sunday Times today. It carries the heading - where are the winnable candidates? It won't be easy to get them but I'm sure they are somewhere in the heap of service-minded individuals hidden behind their mountain of work and duties. The article:

MANY people, it seems, are looking for "winnable" candidates. These are individual whom political parties can put up as their candidates when the national election is called. The search for "winnable" candidates had intensified in the past week or so.

The search became a lot more urgent following speculation as to when the general election is going to be held. In Sarawak, talk of a state election is also widespread especially after Chief Minister Tan Sri Taib Mahmud said that he has got the "inspiration" when that day would be.

Sarawak has until the middle of next year to hold its state election. When Taib said he has some ideas when it would be held, the search for suitable candidates went on high gear. This search has gathered momentum especially after the Prime Minister made it clear that he is also looking for "winnable" candidates.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak last mentioned this when he spoke to Barisan National leaders at the ruling coalition's convention held at Wisma MCA last week.
This was not the first time Najib had spoken about his quest for such candidates, having stressed the same at the Umno annual assembly held in October. He has been consistent in his demand that coalition members produce such candidates.

Perhaps, the coalition members should look for such candidates not just among the known faces among them, but also among local grassroots leaders whom voters know and respect.

Quite often, there are gems hidden way behind the scenes, working like a bee minus all the flashlights and television cameras. These leaders are the ones who make things work at the lower end of the party hierarchy.

Come to think of it, what constitute winnable candidates? If we go by the Prime Minister's advice, these leaders must be free from four major ailments – amnesia, inertia, delusion and arrogance. These four ills were identified as reasons why long-serving political parties fell from grace and were no longer relevant.

The Prime Minister must have made known his demands clearly and loud enough for everyone to remember. One MIC leader confided: "it's impossible to forget. The PM drove his point across to us forcefully. I can still feel the fire in his voice when he made that speech."

The MIC wakil rakyat went on say that everyone was fired up after listening to the speech. He said: "The PM told us that serving the people should always be uppermost in our mind. (Certainly, this is one quality a winnable candidate should have).

"He also told us that no matter how busy we are with our work and other chores, we should, as we retreat into the night, think deeply how else we can make the peoples life better and more meaningful. I felt so touched by this," he said.

His point was echoed by his MCA colleague, who said the BN chairman wanted each and every component member to undertake careful screening of potential candidates. This is important to ensure that the right person be chosen to contest.

The MCA man said: "The PM don't want us to submit names of friends or individuals who are close to us but can't deliver winning votes. It's really a good advice and we should all take heed. He really wants winnable candidates."

Singapura Mendedahkan Masalah Malaysia : Wikileaks

Posted: 11 Dec 2010 06:59 PM PST

The Malaysian Insider

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 — Malaysia's improved ties with Singapore could be in jeopardy after the republic's senior government officials reportedly said "Malaysia's decline" is fuelled by incompetent politicians.

These officials were also less than complimentary about Malaysia's prime ministers, past and present, with one of them calling Datuk Seri Najib Razak "an opportunist"

Their comments were contained in leaked US State Department cables and are likely to put pressure on the rollercoaster relations which both countries have had over decades.

The cables, obtained by WikiLeaks and published in The Sunday Age, disclose discussions between senior US officials and their Singapore counterparts Peter Ho, Bilahari Kausikan and Tommy Koh.

All three Singaporeans gave damning assessments of Malaysia. The discussions between the Singaporean and US officials took place in 2008 and 2009.

In September 2008, Kausikan, a senior foreign affairs official, told the US Deputy Secretary of Defense for East Asia David Sedney that the "situation in neighbouring Malaysia is confused and dangerous", fuelled by "a distinct possibility of racial conflict" that could see ethnic Chinese "flee" Malaysia and "overwhelm" Singapore.

"A lack of competent leadership is a real problem for Malaysia," said Kausikan, citing the need for Datuk Seri Najib Razak to prevail politically in order to avoid prosecution in connection with the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.

"Najib has his neck on the line in connection with a high-profile murder case," noted Kausikan.

A few months earlier, Peter Ho told another US official: "The political knives will be out for Abdullah (Ahmad Badawi's) son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, whom nobody likes because he got where he is through family ties..."

Khairy is now the Umno Youth chief but has not been given an administrative post in Najib's government despite being seen as one of the shrewder politicians in the country.

"As for Najib Razak, he is an opportunist. Although he has not been critical of Singapore, he will not hesitate to go in that direction if it is expedient for him to do so. Najib's political fortunes continue to be haunted by the murder scandal," Ho had reportedly said.

The leaked cables will give ammunition to hawks in the Malaysian government and Umno who believe that it is unproductive to have good relations with Singapore, whom they describe as calculative and condescending.

The Najib administration has attempted to keep the relationship on an even keel and even untangled a long-standing dispute over Malaysian-owned railway land in the republic.

This breakthrough was made despite opposition by some quarters in the ruling party.

Both governments have agreed to set up a joint-venture company by December 31 to develop land parcels swapped for the prized railway land that cuts through the island state.

Lupa kat mana nak kasi pautan.

Minggu lepas, birthday dia.

Dia turun sarapan dengan harapan isteri ingat & ucapkan dengan penuh mesra, "Selamat HariJadi ya Suamiku Sayang". Waktu berlalu, isteriku sama sekali tidak mengucapkan sesuatu! Ya, itulah isteriku!

Mungkin anak2ku ingat, "Besday papa."

Sampai pejabat, dia masuk bilik. Setiausahanya, Emy yang menyapaku, "Morning Boss, Selamat Harijadi." Terubat kesedihan sebelah pagi tadi. Ingat secretary harijadinya.

Masuk waktu lunch, Emy ketuk pintu bilik dan tanya, "Apakah boss tak sedar sudah masuk waktu lunch? Hari ini kan besday boss, mari kita pergi lunch?"

Wow, sukanya dia. Terus setuju. Emy ini lawa, manja dan menawan.

Mereka pergi lunch berdua. Setelah lunch, Emy memberi cadangan, "Hari ini indahkan b. Tak payahlah ke opis lagi. Kita pegi berseronok saja laa..."

Pucuk dicinta ulam mendatang.

Fikiran dah negatif. Lepas ini pasti adegan-adegan ...

Emy masuk bilik tidurnya dan kira-kira 10 minit kemudian dia keluar memabwa Kek Besday yang ternyala lilin dengan diiringi isteri, anak-anak serta rakan kerja, sambil menyanyi "Happy Besday to U."

Tiba-tiba semua terhenti menyanyi ....

... terpakui melihat Mamat ni atas sofa tanpa sehelai benang.

PKR will continue to lose public support, says Soi Lek

Posted: 11 Dec 2010 06:16 PM PST

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Public support for PKR will continue to slide as more people begin to understand the party, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

While the party claimed to be fighting for reforms, it could not even conduct its party election properly, he said.

"Irregularities, fraud and cheating are not investigated and accounted for," he said.

"Even its own party members do not have confidence in the party election," he told reporters after closing the Pahang MCA Cadres Brainstorming Camp here yesterday.

"They cannot have a party that shouts for democracy but its supreme leader is not elected by anybody," he said in reference to a Universiti Malaya study that PKR's troubled polls last month had affected confidence in the party.

Apparently, 43% of those polled said they would not vote for PKR in the next general election while 35% said they would still support the party.

Respondents pointed to the party's internal strife and leadership problems as a key factor affecting their support.

The study was conducted by the university's Democratic Research and Elections Centre during the PKR party polls last month.

The respondents were from Cheras, Bandar Tun Razak, Titiwangsa, Ampang, Bukit Bintang, Subang Jaya, Wangsa Maju and Lembah Pantai.

On another matter, Dr Chua said it was a waste of time to guess the date of the next general election.

"Our main concern is to ensure all divisions are ready to face the election," he said, adding that the MCA had yet to decide whether to postpone its party polls.

Dr Chua also denied speculation that the party had identified candidates for the general election.

"I am aware that some members have been going around saying that they had met me or other party leaders to get their blessings as candidates," he said.

However, he said MCA candidates would be chosen based on the chances of winning.

Seminggu Berlalu. Sumpah Tulang Besi Tidak Dijawab Blogger2 UMNO

Posted: 11 Dec 2010 05:20 PM PST

Seminggu berlalu sudah. Blogger UMNO Guna Sumpah Serakah. Tapi, TUlang Besi berani bersumpah. Sah, blogger2 UMNO Takut Kerana Salah.

Bila kena batang hidung sendiri apasal takut pulak?????

Wahai Papa Gomo, wahai Ruang Bicara Faizal, apasal senyap seribu bahasa? Korang bukan anak dara. Korang lelaki.

Kalau berani, tampillah ke depan. Kalau anak jantan, sambutlah sumpah Tulang Besi.
