Saran Pengerusi Surau Al Huda Saman MAIS RM20 Juta

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 12:48 PM PDT

Wallahualam

Jawatankuasa surau nafi dakwaan Najib MP Teo sampaikan tazkirah
TERKINI @ 09:25:29 PM 06-09-2010
Oleh Clara Chooi
September 06, 2010

"Ia kesalahan jawatankuasa masjid, bukan Teo.

Mereka mungkin melihat (Presiden AS) Barack Obama memasuki masjid dan mereka mungkin mengubah fatwa.

Ini bermakna mereka mesti tutup aurat," he said.

A RACIAL HARMONY DAY FOR MALAYSIA?

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 11:41 AM PDT

Every year Singapore celebrates Racial Harmony Day on 21 July to mark the anniversary of the 1964 racial riots. Can you imagine Malaysia having a special day to commemorate the 13 May 1969 riots?

In Singapore on this day, students reflect on and celebrate the nation's success that is built on a rich diversity of cultures. Schools encourage students to dress in their ethnic costumes on this day, and various events are held to promote inter-racial understanding.

This year the Ministry of Education has chosen the theme "Embracing Diversity, Building Community" to remind Singaporeans that promoting social cohesion and racial harmony requires constant effort from everyone. It is also a day to honour not only the founding fathers but also the early pioneers of all races who helped develop the country.

Public notice at an MRT station - in 4 languages

It's not just on one day of the year that efforts are made to promote racial harmony. It's an on-going process, and the evidence is there for all to see. Public signages and MRT announcements are in four languages: English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, although the Malays and Indians make up only 13 per cent and 9.2 per cent of the population respectively. The PM's recent National Day Rally speech was delivered in English, Mandarin and Malay.

Last Saturday I joined the thousands of shoppers and visitors at the sprawling night market in the Malay village at Geylang Serai. The entire neighbourhood was bathed in festive colours and lights for the coming Raya celebrations. What struck me most was the multi-racial mix of the vendors and shoppers.

The festive lights at Geylang Serai.

Rows upon rows of figure-hugging kebaya in dazzling rainbow colours.
Malaysia's famed Ramli burgers are a hit here.
Indian shoppers buying flowers from Chinese vendors at the Malay village.
Stall selling halal leung-yuk (dried meat) doing brisk business.

Everywhere you go in Singapore you see people of all races mixing freely and comfortably with each other. Lots of mixed couples too. Across the street from my Singapore base are a mosque, a Chinese temple, an Indian temple, a church and a gurdwara (Sikh temple), all within a stone's throw from each other, and all with doors open to welcome visitors.

Chinese passers-by praying outside an Indian temple. Just next to it is a Chinese temple. Both have been co-existing peacefully in the area for decades.

Perhaps we should have a Racial Harmony Day in Malaysia? It's never too late to start one.

Musa Hassan blasts KDN

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 10:10 AM PDT

Finally, outgoing IGP Tan Sri Musa Hassan managed to get it out of his chest. He lambasted the Home Ministry for 'interfering' in police work, and that some VIPs also tried to dictate the force to do this and that.

But who are the people, Musa? Could it be Home Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein? Or Abu Seman? Ministry's sec-gen Mahmud Adam, maybe?

Who are the VVIPs and VIPs? Some members of the royal family? Could it be Kelantan? Some politicians protecting loan sharks, pimps and gangster groups? As you will be a civilian in less than a week, you may speak up. Blow it out, bro!

No need to be afraid because there is no cause to protect and defend them. The 'third party' interference (here) will go on damaging PDRM reputation if you put these people at bay. Name them. At least, you will be remembered for this.

However, on second thought, you are the police chief. Why did you let this people interfere in police job? Were you and your senior officers not that firm or you just didnt want to land in trouble? We can understand that, no worries.

Please, dont leave us in the dark. Name them laaarrr! You got so many unanswered questions. Retire on a good note!

PS... is it true that your relations with Hisham was not 'so good' all this while, and that the ministry did not inform you about ending your contract on Sept 12? Gosh, that is bad, Hisham! How did that happen?

Anyway, Tan Sri, take a good rest. (Is it true PM offers you an ambassador job?)

Questions from an American Christian lady learning about Islam

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 08:55 AM PDT

Question.jpg

I have received emails from an American Christian lady who is learning about Islam.

Since what I answer her might be of use to those with similar questions, I have asked her permission to share with you our exchanges here for the benefit of all.

Here are the contents of our online dialog:

***********************************************************
Hello Zainol,

I am, like Johan learning about Islam and i stumbled upon your post in reply to him as i was looking for someone who could help me in my search for answers.

I am relieved to find someone who speaks English and can help me out too.

I have been studying Islamic religious books and i find that some things need further explanation and what more better than to refer to the right person ie you!

I had the same questions and they are all answered in your reply to that chap in your blog link below. Thank you for that.

http://mahaguru58.blogspot.com/2009/08/allah-what-you-need-to-know-about-our.html

If it's ok with you to accept another curious learner, do let me know if you could look in to my questions and hopefully provide me the answers so i can learn more about Islam.

Looking forward to learn from you.

Thank you.

May peace be with u Amy.

No worries. Will help u out wherever I can?

Going out now. Update me on whatever u need to know?

God Willing, we can discuss. No holds barred. :)

All my best to u.

Wassalamualaikum. Peace be upon u.

*********************************************************************

Thank you for your warm reply.

I start with simple things i observe daily or that i have come across.

1) What does s.a.w mean? I see it everytime at the back of the prophet's name. When translated from Arabic to English what does it actually say?

2) A friend mentioned Assalamualaikum is only meant among Muslims. the greeting cannot be said to non Muslims. Is this true?

3) I had a conversation with a Muslim Bangladeshi who works at an Indian Muslim restaurant. He says he as a Muslim can not be friends with non Muslims as taught by the Quran and insisted it is stated in the book. I decided to look for it and found this online. Is this what he was referring to and if so, Muslims are actually encouraged to do what is explained by the scholars in this link? i find it rather disturbing of a message to be said by God.

http://www.altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=73&tSoraNo=9&tAyahNo=29&tDisplay=yes&UserProfile=0&LanguageId=2

4) Why do females not attend Friday prayers?
5) What does the star and moon on every mosque represent?

These are the very basic questions i have been looking for answers. I will go more detailed as we go along. I have always tried asking Muslim friends but they always say the same answer " i don't know but there's always an explanation".

Thank you for your time and patience, looking forward to learn.

1. S.A.W. is the acronym for the Arabic salutation ~ 'Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam!'. It is an Arabic phrase which means 'May Peace be upon him!'. This salutation is reserved for only the Final Messenger of Almighty Allah, the Blessed Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah.

For all others of the 124,000 prophets and messengers of Allah, the salutation is 'Alaihis Salam' which means 'upon him be peace'. In general, we respect and honor each and every one of God's prophets and messengers.

The level of respect and love for Muhammad, the Greatest Messenger of Allah is highest as he is the Chief of all the prophets and messengers numbering 124,000 from the creation of our Father the Prophet Adam over time immemorial right to the Final Messenger.

2. Not trueAssalamualaikum is the best form of greeting that we can give to one another as human beings. The prophets of Allah used to greet others with this greeting which means 'Peace be upon you!'. This is called the standard 'Salam'.

Thus if a Non Muslim is to wish a Muslim with the Salam and says it with sincerity, the Muslim receiving the Salam is obliged to answer 'Wa alaika' which means ' and Upon you (as well)'. Depending upon the individual muslim, he or she is at liberty to answer in full 'Wa'alaikumsalam' ~ 'and (Upon you be peace) too!'

The Salam in actuality is a prayer. We wish the one whom we meet to be blessed with peace. Thus Islam is also known as the religion of peace because we wish well upon others.

The Muslim is encouraged to greet fellow Muslims with the longer version of the Salam which carries more prayers.

This form of greeting is added with 'Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh! Means 'Peace be upon you and the Mercy and Blessings of Allah.

The one who receives such a Salam is enjoined to answer with 'Wa'alaikumsalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh'.This is the best form of greeting and carries the meaning 'And upon you be Peace with the Mercy and Blessings of Allah!'

Sahih International
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.
Muhsin Khan
Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

We need to take into account the varying circumstances with regards to the relations between those of us who areMuslims (Believers in Almighty Allah and carry out His Commandments and Way of Life Enjoined in the teachings of Al Islam) and the ones who are Kaffirs (Disbelievers in Allah the True God and live a life devoid of faith in Him and engage in idol worship, polytheism and commit such acts and practices which have been forbidden by the Almighty and goes against what He has decreed).

A Muslim is commanded by Allah not to take as his friends and companions those amongst the Disbelievers who mean him or her harm and wage wars against the Muslim whether declared or not with designs or plans to undermine the Muslim's position or to usurp his or her property and endanger his or her life or those of his or her family and other close relatives.

A clear example is the way Palestinian Arab Muslims have lost their lands and suffer prosecution at the hands of the Zionist Jews supported by the American and British governments.

Such is also the same situation all over the world where Muslims have been killed, assaulted, attacked, devastated and made to suffer by those who aren't Muslims just because they believe in Allah and observe the teachings of Islam. Examples of these are the sufferings experienced by the Muslims of Bosnia Herzegovina, Chechnyans, Georgians, Uighur Muslims in China, Tibetan Muslims, Nepalese Muslims, Kashmiri Muslims, Gujerati Muslims in India, Bombay Muslims of India, South of Thailand, Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar, Iraq and other localities of the world.

The Muslims are cautioned by Allah the Almighty to be aware of the dangers of them seeking the help and protection of those who choose to be enemies of Allah and the Muslims themselves in the true sense. Not to say that we are to  shun those Non Muslims who let us be and mean us no harm.

There are many amongst the Non Muslims in this world who seek peace with us and mean us well. Examples are the Orthodox Jews in Palestine. Many of them are also in the United States of America. A particular group of such peaceloving Jews are those in the Neturei Karta.

God is our Creator. He knows us best. We may all be the Children of Adam our Father and borne by our Mother Eve yet we all differ in our own individual characteristics, likes and dislikes or levels of knowledge and beliefs. Even amongst siblings, our temperaments and leanings aren't the same. We are all different from one another and only our efforts to either submit ourselves to our Lord or go against Him determines our situations and positions here on Earth and in the Hereafter.

Thus we need to contemplate upon the realities of this life here on Earth where mankind are always and often in strife and constant turmoil against one another.

That's what God is warning us about?

To be careful not to blindly trust those who might endanger and harm us when we least expect it. Fair warning, don't you agree?

4. It is certainly permissible for women to pray the Friday Prayer; it is therefore totally absurd to say that they are not allowed to do so. Since there is nothing whatsoever either in the Qur'an, or in the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to indicate otherwise, no human being possesses the right to say so.
It is a well known fact that women used to attend prayers including that of Friday at the Prophet's Mosque during his time. As a matter of fact, many of those women from among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did so consistently that they memorized entire surahs of the Qur'an from the Prophet's mouth as he was in the habit of reciting them during sermons and prayer. The practice of women attending the prayers continues to this day in the Prophet's Mosque; the same has been the consistent practice in the Sacred Mosque in Makkah. This can be verified by anyone going for Hajj or `Umrah, for it is a common sight of women praying all over the Haram sanctuary in Makkah just as men do.

This being the case, how can anyone dare to say that women are not allowed to attend prayers in the mosque? Are we then implying that it is OK for them to go to the Prophet's Mosque or the Haram in Makkah but not to other mosques? Are our mosques holier?

Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also clearly forbade men from banning women from mosques. He said,"Don't stop the maid servants of Allah (that is, women) from coming to mosques of Allah"(Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Ahmad, Malik, and others).

Having said this, I must rush to add that women in Islam are not obligated to pray at the mosque if they are burdened by their duties of nurturing and caring for their little ones. Women are thus absolved of this obligation solely because of the compassion of Islam. But, in such a case, according to the laws of the Shari`ah, they are duly compensated for their absence from mosques because of the nobler task they are engaged in at home.

This exception, however, must never be used by men against women to prevent them from coming to mosques, especially if they are not in the above situation.

Based on these, women are definitely allowed to attend mosques and participate in mosque-related activities. As scholars such as Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and others have stated that in this day and age when chances for proper spiritual and moral education are becoming ever scarce, it would be highly recommended for women to come to mosques and derive the spiritual and educational benefits just as men do.

May Allah grant us the wisdom to recognize truth as truth and follow it; may He grant us the wisdom to recognize error as error and shun it.Ameen.

“Have You Read…??”

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 07:44 AM PDT

Stop right now…..!!!!!!

Dont even think you just need to scroll down and read any further. What have you just seen.? What is in your mind.? What have you just decided to do?

Umm.. its just rubbish coming out from the blogsphere and its nothing to shout about. Its the same all tricks which any one caught in a writers time warp will use. Just counting 1 to 10 or gazing into the blank wall would not help the writer.

The shit has hit the fan,The natural disasters, floods, volcano eruptions, earthquakes and major catastrophes around the world has made the people of the world worried. Change is inevitable and People will be fearful for their future if the signs are taken as obvious yardsticks for a better tomorrow.

Governments around the world are bending to the needs of the people and before long Malaysians will need to address the same phenomena. The Mark Choices of the Ballot papers will be determine not by the coalition partners that are in existence now but by WHO will be CHOSEN To represent the people.

The signs are very clear. The people not only can read but they can also see. The signs are too glaring. Throughout Malaysia no place is too treacherous where no living souls cannot reach.

Much has been said about the BN ruling over 50 years and the opposition wanting to wrestle to have a hand in managing and administering the country. Anything can happen now and no one peoples representative BN/PR can even think that he can make it to the next round of elections.

The people will know and if they so decide nothing in the world can stop them from not wanting to overthrow a rogue/dishonest/unreliable/lazy/self centred/YB or MP.

It has been often directed to them now more than ever that the next round of elections the people will have made up their own minds to choose. The customer services sector of Maxis/Digi/Celcom or the Different Brands of Hotels available is a good indicator. We not only have the Sheratons,Hiltons,Novotels to choose from.

The Peoples representative or assemblyman just need to look over their shoulders. The people have a choice. BN/PR or independant is theirs to make. Why Maxis/Digi/Celcom is that if the customer services or the aftersales  service of  ANY of these three major companies are not satisfactory the people will opt for the next bests to the one they will be satisfied with.

Its after all becoming like a market out there for the people to choose. The BN and PR coalitions have their weaknesses and the people will be able to pick up and mark on their wish lists. The fence sitters which many political analysts are saying will determine the swing of the votes is a THING OF THE PAST.

Read my lips….."Thing of the Past" Do I need to tell you why..?? You just look around your own environment and see what you have which the other person doesnt and you will know what and how the people will vote.

Lets just give you a CLUE..Fooled you but you continued reading..Hmmm"

WE TOLD YOU EARLIER

the victimised character 'salander'. So what if RPK has been in a mental institution? So what if he has sexual perversions?? SO WHAT?!! Time and time again RPK has given us documents to support his revelations and statements. Oh don't tell us now that everything was fabricated!! Go and write about something else you annoying so and so, or better still, don't write at all. Such a waste of cyber space!
HahaLondon. Think? We don't support RPK blindly. You need to have a conscience to understand some things ….and this writer is too shallow for that. the craps the country has produced
Hollywood director Christopher Nolan has stirred the creative world and enthralled fantasy-loving cine buffs by mixing the psychologists' old muse —dream reading — with a high-tech, special effects bonanza called ` Inception.'
He has understandably made some compromises with the plot — car-chase, shootouts, killing et al — to keep the audience engaged while dealing with a complex subject and a mental game which could otherwise have easily gotten swallowed in psycho-technical mumbo-jumbo.
While western audiences marvel at this " James Bond meets Matrix" tale, very few are perhaps aware that Sri Aurobindo, the renowned mystic and spiritual master had spent considerable years through his Integral Yoga, probing what he called the `subconscient' human mind and came up with some interesting insights on universal consciousness as a whole.
Sri Aurobindo discovered, for example, that there are several realms of consciousness beyond the physical world we live in, and that these planes of consciousness are in fact the other worlds that are as real as we take our own world to be. When one sleeps, he said, the subconscient mind is freed from the shackles of the mind that operates in the physical world, travelling across those other worlds soaking in experiences, both good and bad, that are needed for further consciousness evolution of the individual in the dream state. Our skepticism or ignorance notwithstanding, these "other worlds" not only coexist with our physical world but they also impinge on it in myriad ways.
According to Sri Aurobindo these other worlds are stacked in a spiral of lower and higher levels of consciousness. We have good dreams or nightmares, depending on where our subconscient mind chooses to travel in the labyrinthine spiral, with each level having several sublevels. Without our being aware, we draw upon these worlds for some of the vilest, crudest or most noble and sublime ideas that eventually shape our known world. It isn't surprising therefore that for a Jesus who comes to redeem our world we are also visited by others who wish to subvert and destroy it.
Sri Aurobindo believed — through his own experience of yoga spanning over 40 years — that through regular practice one can raise one's consciousness to various higher levels until one reaches what he called the supra-mental level, the pinnacle of evolution. (He never took others' word for any kind of truth, and insisted on testing it through self-experience). Sri Aurobindo made another profound revelation that unlike what scientists tell us, man is not the pinnacle of Nature's evolutionary cycle. Human beings are transitional beings. We will undergo transformation and reach our ultimate evolution level when we reach the highest plane of consciousness. However, we will have to delve deep into our subconscient mind and begin rising through the spiral consciousness to reach the pinnacle.
Sri Aurobindo's spiritual endeavor was not, however, aimed at his own personal salvation. He wanted to share his experience with others and inspire them to follow this path so that it would lead to a spiritual revolution in us and usher in lasting peace. He didn't accept the old spiritual belief that one could reach moksha only if one quit this so-called wretched world and ascend to a heaven above. "It is here on this earth that we can create heaven and find release in our own lifetime," he said. The writer follows Guru Siyag Siddha Yoga system.

By Terrence Fernandez
It is a known fact that Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK) was once admitted for mental disorder in his youth. This may be hard to believe for those who worship him, but it is indeed a fact.
It is also known that even though RPK's blood is blue, he wasn't fed with a silver spoon. He lost his dad at such tender age and since then his life has taken a wrong turn.
His royal relatives took him in but rather than living luxuriously as any royal blood should be, he ended up being the servant or the dog who must listen, obey and serve the masters of the palace. He was tortured, mostly mentally to the extent that his young mind could no longer endure.
In the huge, beautiful palace, RPK was a desperately lonely boy with no one to turn to. Trying to get away from the hell, he tried to escape through the books. Reading, helped takes his mind away from reality.
Sometimes, he lived in the books that he read, and sometimes he lived in his own imagination, his own stories. He loved being away from reality and became addicted to it.
He could create a world, a character, a life just by living inside his head. As time passed, RPK began to act strangely and his adopted royal parents were beginning to be afraid of him.
After an incident that remains a secret, the palace finally concluded that RPK was a very sick boy.
To avoid scandals, they decided to send him away. But they could never send him anywhere in Malaysia as words about the sick boy would leak out.
So, the best thing to do was send the boy to a mental hospital in Britain.
If the worshippers of RPK found this story as rubbish, they should also rethink about all the stories that RPK has written, and tell us the difference. Just like RPK's pieces, this story too, cannot be proven. But why choose to believe one instead of the other?
Most people in Malaysia know very well about RPK's mental illness in his childhood but none are able to confirm it as the record is not available anywhere. Of course it's not, because it wasn't recorded in Malaysia.
RPK's mental health record is one of the many reasons why RPK was dropped off from BBC Hardtalk last week.
BBC had done a thorough check on RPK when he was recommended to them by a connection of a Malaysian's opposition's leader. BBC found that most of RPK's articles or stories in the Malaysia Today blog are just fictions. None of the stories checked out. RPK's stories carried no credibility, no value, no fact and mostly totally nonsense.
Some facts in his articles were found to be contradicted with each other. Some were simply downright lies.
BBC was amazed at how some Malaysians are so stupid to believe in this guy. They became eager to know more and dug some more information on RPK's background.
That was when the mental record of RPK in London came out.
It was just natural for BBC to automatically cancel RPK's appearance on their show upon finding out the truth. They didn't want to look like a fool for inviting a mentally unstable man to tell fictions on their show.
BBC informed the relevant parties in Malaysian of the findings without revealing the details of the record. Health records are treated with strict confidentiality and BBC is bound not to spread the words around on their findings.
I can't help but feel a little pity on the young RPK – imagine a lonely innocent boy trying to find love and life. But, RPK's pathetic childhood should not be used as an excuse for him to turn out to be such a pariah, a liar, a coward, a traitor and a complete nuisance just for existing.
There can never be any excuse for RPK to jeopardize the country's stability and sovereignty and tarnish its image overseas.
It is obvious that RPK's mental illness is not totally cured.
Today, he becomes a man with no pride and willing to do anything to be satisfied. He needs to destroy the country in order to live luxuriously and he feels satisfied with every damaged done to the country through his writings.
He could not find satisfaction like any ordinary sane man. Satisfaction is hard to find in the mind of unlimited imagination. This is proven when RPK, in one of his drinking sessions, announced to his friends about how he finds satisfaction by watching his wife, Marina, 'doing it' with another man.
Well, just like RPK, I'm just reporting of what I heard from the source. But, bear in mind that I'm not the one with history of mental illness. At any time, my writing carries more credibility than those written by a mentally sick man.
RPK's worshippers may want to dig into RPK's background themselves before retaliating to this article. It's really up to you guys. The best thing to do is ask RPK to come back home and face the court so that we can all see the truth.

Melayu PAS & Melayu PKR jadi alat DAP

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 06:14 AM PDT

In solidarity with foreign domestic workers

Posted: 03 Sep 2010 09:00 AM PDT

Most migrant women in Asia are working as foreign domestic workers. Such predominance in domestic work is obvious in countries where female migrants outnumbered men, such as the Philippines and Sri Lanka. As International Solidarity Day with Foreign Domestic Workers fell on 28 August, CARAM Asia and its members called on governments throughout the world to immediately amend national employment laws to recognise domestic workers as workers with rights no less than other categories of workers.

PM Najib: Don’t be Racist, Again, The Way UMNO Has Been Racist, Again

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 12:45 AM PDT

Man, four UMNOpocrisies in one day? I'm worn out. Just go to this post adn the link to the post before that at bottom, which has the latest roundup of UMNO 'uttering words or committing acts which offend other races'.

From The Star 6 Sep 2010:

PM: Be mindful of words and actions to preserve good race relations
By MAZWIN NIK ANIS

PUTRAJAYA: Being mindful of one's words and actions and not questioning issues agreed upon by the nation's founding fathers and spelled out in the Constitution are critical matters in race relations, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said it was important to check on this as "political management" was as critical and as equally important as managing the country's economy and social matters.

"In managing politics, I do not mean politics based on parties and ideologies and this (gathering) is not the right forum for me to touch on it. Political management also includes race relations.

"If one can refrain from uttering words or committing acts which offend other races, "temperature rising incidents" can be avoided.

"We also must not question what had been agreed by our founding fathers, especially what is stated in the Constitution which based on social contract between races.

"If we take heed of these two critical points, I believe we can further strengthen the country's two pillars, which is national unity and political stability," Najib told civil servants at the Prime Minister's Department monthly gathering.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Sidek Hassan.

The Prime Minister said stability and unity would be under threat if race relations were not managed well and stressed the importance of civil servants embracing and understanding the 1Malaysia concept so that the pillars of stability and unity remained steadfast and strong.

"We must ensure that what is strong does not crack and what has been strongly tied is not cut loose.

"We will be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the open house concept which is unique to Malaysia.

"Let us not just open our houses to others. Let's open our hearts and minds. On behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister, the government leadership, my wife (Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor) and I, we wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri," he said.

Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom – School Racism is Bad ‘Cos it Embarasses Govt, M’Kay

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 12:41 AM PDT

From The Star 6 Sep 2010:

Ministry warns of action over racist remarks in schools

PETALING JAYA: Principals and teachers in government schools have been directed to be careful with their words and not utter racist remarks.

In a recent circular, the Education Ministry warned principals and teachers that action would be taken against those who made such remarks.

In the circular dated Aug 26, ministry director-general Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom said he viewed seriously the allegations against a small group of people for making racist remarks in school.

"They are insensitive to the Government's efforts to make schools the place to cultivate the 1Malaysia spirit," he said.

"If investigations show that principals or teaching staff are guilty of racism, the ministry will take serious action against them."

Alimuddin said schools were the place to strengthen racial unity and teaching staff must be polite and careful when carrying out their duties.

"They must always be sensitive to the wishes of the Government to promote unity, which is in line with the 1Malaysia concept," he said.

Recently, two principals from Johor and Kedah had allegedly uttered racist remarks to students at their schools.

On Aug 12, a school principal from Kulaijaya, Johor, allegedly used racist remarks against non-Malay students during the launch of the school's Merdeka celebrations on Aug 12.

The principal allegedly described non-Malays as penumpang (passengers) during her speech at the start of the celebrations.

In another incident, a principal in Sungai Petani allegedly scolded 10 Form Three students for eating outside the school canteen before morning classes began as the lights in the canteen were switched off.

The principal had purportedly told them off for "not respecting" their Muslim friends and that they "should return to their country of origin if they did not show respect."

Wait wait wait…

The main gripe here is that racist government employees are insensitive to the Government's wishes and plans???

Not, say, insensitive to defenceless school students exposed to rabid spittle-spewing racism?

Explains why this is happening though!

PM Najib: NOW We Must be Sensitive to All Religions

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 12:35 AM PDT

From THe Star 6 Sep 2010:

We must be sensitive to the practices of all religions, says Najib
By LESTER KONG

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians should understand the sensitivities of all religions practised in the country, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.

"One of the most important aspects in whatever we do is that we must have mutual respect and understanding," he said during a buka puasa dinner with Selangor Umno members here last night.

Najib reminded the audience, which comprised people of different races, of the edict issued during the muzakarah (discussion) by the National Council of Islamic Affairs in March.

The edict proclaimed that non-Muslim visitors to mosques and surau must first obtain permission from mosque officials before taking part in any activity in the prayer hall or the mosque grounds.

"They should dress appropriately and must not violate the sanctity of the mosque," he added.

Najib, who is Selangor Umno chairman, said the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, had also issued a similar decree in line with Section 3 of the 2003 Selangor Islamic Enactment.

"For example, during the visit by Queen Elizabeth II to Malaysia in 1989, she was dressed to cover her aurat (exposed part of the body) and also didn't enter the main prayer hall of the mosque," he said.

On the action of non-Muslims giving sermons (tazkirah) to Muslims in a mosque prayer hall, Najib said such behaviour contradicted the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Najib was commenting on the controversy arising from Serdang DAP MP Teo Nie Ching, who had entered the Al-Huda surau in Kajang Sentral without covering up her head last month.

"I'm saying this not to fan the flames (of the issue) further, but I hope that the Islamic religious edicts will be respected by non-Muslims. Muslims must also respect the holy places of other religions to ensure harmony is maintained," Najib said.

Najib also witnessed the donation of RM500 each to four fire victims in Gombak.

Officials from 18 mosques in the state were also given RM1,000 each for the Hari Raya celebrations, while donations were also given to 158 orphans and 142 needy people.

Radicare Sdn Bhd also gave RM10,000 to Masjid Jamek Al-Amaniah in Batu Caves.

To swear or not to swear

No prize for guessing who is about to get fucked!

Here's something a little less stressful and blood pressure-raising. I was browsing through The Nutgraph and came across this comment to the article they wrote about me "Patrick Teoh: A still un-fulfilled Merdeka wish"...

But why I find Patrick disturbing is his profound penchant for vulgarities and profanities. Go to his blog. This we must condemn or at least distance ourselves from. You may want to argue it's his right of freedom to speak as such but even in the west profanities are frown upon as a public value. We should not condone such value and behaviour.

Datuk Chua Soi Lek Agrees That Online Fools Your Lying Eyes

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 12:23 AM PDT

I'd just like to note where Datuk Chua's sex scandal broke, it wasn't through online first so he should be totally unbiased with his remarks below!

From The Star 6 Sep 2010:

Chua: Not all news is true
By SYLVIA LOOI

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: People should be critical enough not to accept everything that is reported online as all the information need not necessarily be true, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

"It is important for people to differentiate the truths, half-truths and what is a complete lie," he said.
Welcome: Chua being greeted upon arrival before opening the Perak Cadre training in Cameron Highlands yesterday.

Dr Chua, who is Perak MCA chairman, was commenting on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's statement that the public should trust the mainstream media as its reports are based on facts compared to the alternative media that is based on opinions.

Dr Chua was speaking to reporters after closing a cadre training for Perak MCA members and division leaders yesterday.

On claims by opposition parties that the Government was practising double standards in handling the issues of two principals who made racists remarks on students and the subsequent controversial video clip by Namewee on YouTube, Dr Chua said police should investigate the principals on whether they had committed sedition.

"Only then will the Government be seen as acting fairly and impartially. There should not be a dichotomy system. Civil servants are equally liable and subject to the same law," he added.

Dr Chua, however, admitted that the case of the principals was complicated as they are government servants.

The Education Ministry had on Thursday announced that the matter had been passed to the Public Service Department to handle.

On the cadre training, Dr Chua said it was the first training for party members and it would continue until the general election.

"The model used to train members is new as the old model is no longer relevant in the current political climate," he said.

For the rest of the online vs mainstream media argument, see previous post PM Najib: Trust the Notoriously Biased Mainstream Media.

And see Namewee's Video Blasting Racism = Racism? for the other thing he's talking about.

Raja Petra A Psychiatric Case???

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 02:58 AM PDT

Admin Note:

It appears that YM Raja Petra Kamaruddin is just too hot to handle for the Moronic BN/Umno Regime that they have resulted in creating fantasy after fantasy to demonize RPK. Now they are claiming that RPK is a nut case and that's why BBC refused to have him on HARDTALK. The Good News is that each time the BN/Umno moronic cybertroopers like UNSPINNERS try to spin about RPK or Pakatan Rakyat, they end up scoring own goals instead. What a bunch of idiots, LOL!!!

Read this latest spin from Unspinners below:

RPK sebenarnya adalah seorang bekas pesakit jiwa.

SENIMAN KUTU JALANAN SAJA LAGAKNYA MEREKA2 TU

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 02:12 AM PDT

Oleh Wan Azli

TV3 BANYAK BODOH - LAGI BANGANG SEBAB TAK PUNYA IDEA YG KREATIF LANGSUNG ...... BIKIN MALU SAJA .......

Where got road? WHERE GOT ROAD ???? ROD ADE LER? untuk melebau (merembat) belakang hangpa semua! Apa kena mengena siaran 'Melodi' tu dgn nama 'Jalan Melodi' ? - siap dgn sign nya sekali - iaitu tanda-nama jalan yg biasa di pacak di jalan2 berkenaan. Nampak juga macam depa dua tu macam 'kutu2 jalan' sahaja lagaknya mereka ..... Jadi! ......... seniman kutu jalanan lah kalau lagu tu!!!!

Istilah menggunakan jenama 'presint' tu pun kita ambik dari penggunaan pihak Amerika (USA) di New York ...... dimana nama2 tempat khas menggunakan nama 'precinct' bagi sesuatu lokasi yg terdapat in the city of New York.

At least 'bunyinya' seakan2 .... hampir2 sama dgn 'siaran' tv 3 tu. At least it sounds like it too - iaitu - Siaran "MELODI" di tv3 - satu siaran berbentuk majalah infomasi mengenai hiburan.

Kena dahhhh!!!!!!

Teringin jugak nak tengok diwaktu2 terdekat ni ..... kot2 pihak TV3 bercadang nak tukar sebagaimana dicadangkan itu ..... iaitu dari tanda-nama "JALAN MELODI" kepada "PERSIARAN MELODI". Apa kata ?

AMACAM? TV3 .... Datuk Farid Ridzuan? ..... Penerbit?

Jangan marrrrerrrrrr!!!!

Majority of PKR MP’s Support Azmin Ali To Stand As Deputy President

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 01:07 AM PDT

Malaysiakini reported today that the majority of PKR's representatives at both upper and lower houses of Parliament have pledged their support for Azmin Ali to contest for the party deputy presidency at the upcoming party polls.  Azmin, who is Gombak MP, has yet to officially state his intention to contest the post, but is widely speculated to do so soon.

Of PKR's 24 MPs, 18 have pledged support for Azmin while two out of three senators have expressed the same.

At a press conference at the party headquarters today, PKR supreme council member Kamarul Baharin Abas said that having Azmin as the deputy president would complement incumbent president Dr Wan Azizah Ismail's leadership.

"Azmin is a senior leader, who has undergone tough challenges; and he has been humiliated by his family in facing the challenges of reformasi," said Kamarul, reading from a joint statement.

"When leaders from the same struggle abandoned the party for wealth and positions, Azmin stood firm and fought to defend the people," he said, attempting to sell their choice candiate to the grassroots.

"The duty of shaping the culture of new politics in this country has to be translated by the leaders of Keadilan who have embraced the direction and the struggles of the party now and in the future," said Kamarul.

Kamarul added that PKR's direct election is "more meaningful" as the top leadership has the responsibility to carry forward the party's desire for change.

Also elaborating on Zaid Ibrahim's claim that members were attempting to hinder his candidacy, Kamarul said, "That is just an allegation. Besides, how could there be an attempt to topple if he does not even have a position in the party in the first place?"

Only a fraction of pro-Azmin MPs were present at the press conference today.

Other MPs present were Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang), Johari Abdul (Sungai Petani), S Manikavasagam (Kapar), Loh Gwo Burne (Kelana Jaya) and Amran Abdul Gani (Tanah Merah).

The remaining 12 are Abdullah Sani (Kuala Langat), Fuziah Salleh (Kuantan), Azan Ismail (Indera Mahkota), Hee Loy Sian (Petaling Jaya Selatan), Dr Lee Boon Chye (Gopeng), Ab Aziz Ab Kadir (Ketereh), Yusmadi Yusoff (Balik Pulau), Rashid Din (Merbok), Tian Chua (Batu), William Leong (Selayang), R Sivarasa (Subang) and Ahmad Kasim (Kuala Kedah).

The two senators are Mustafa Kamal from Penang and Zamri Yusof from Kedah. PKR has a total of three senators, with the third being Syed Husin Ali who is the incumbent party deputy president.

Other than Azmin himself, five other PKR MPs who are not in the group are Anwar Ibrahim (Permatang Pauh), Nurul Izzah (Lembah Pantai), Saifuddin Nasution (Machang), Khalid Ibrahim (Bandar Tun Razak) and N Gobalakrishnan (Padang Serai).
