Dr Pornthip Membeld Orang Islam di Thailang

Dr Pornthip Membeld Orang Islam di Thailang

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 02:47 PM PDT

Mengikut laporan Malaysian Mirror:

Her services were also critical during the 2004 tsunami, and in the aftermath of the infamous Tak Bai tragedy in 2004, when 78 Muslims died under army custody following their arrest during a protest against police abuses in southern Thailand.

Pornthip had then provided damning evidences of military abuse of the detained Muslims, most of whom were fasting, and who died when they were stuffed inhumanly into trucks.

Although Pornthip is a government appointee, she has no qualms to call a spade a spade, and has many times spoken out against police abuses and human rights violations.

Dr Pornthip melaporkan:

"Seventy-eight people were found dead on arrival in the vans at the military camp," she said at the time. "They showed bleeding in the eyes, in the white part of the eyeballs, and bleeding on the body underneath the skin. Only tiny spots of bleeding."

This is evidence of suffocation, she claims.

Sedihnya.

Jauhi PERKASA - Pemuda UMNO dah 'gila talak?'

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 02:58 PM PDT

Khairy wajib memahami satu fakta; 'there must be cause for a cause'.

Biased people parliament position of Haris and RPK , DESTROYING PKR TIME FOR PKR TO GET OF Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan.

double headed snake

In his 'The silence is deafening' post, RPK lamented at the silence of the parties who should be in the know on the issue of whether the peace agreement brokered in December last year to resolve the Sabah PKR leadership crisis included an agreement to not take any action against those party members involved in the move to register Parti Cinta Sabah.

"One person who should be saying something but appears to be maintaining anelegant silence is the PKR vice-president, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan. Or should I instead say that the silence from Jeffrey is deafening?", Pete complained.

First, with your biased people parliament position of Haris Ibrahim, you are NOT fit to interview as there is conflict of interest to your stated opinion against KL PKR/Anwar and Jeff K.

If you want to be journalist/reporter, dont pretend to be the leader for SABM as you are digging further to discredit and demise SABM independence. Resign from all positions in SABM, even as consultant and begin your independent journalist job. If you want to be a biased poltical jounalist, then join a poltical party or form your own, and let other journlist peers decide your suitaibility as journalist/report.

Second, this is the in-thing open season that any disgruntled PKR member reports to the public to air his/her grievance? Surely, this has crossed the line on party policy and deserved to be whacked by disciplinary committee on this infiringement alone.

If Jeff K is not going to give KL PKR the final perogative, your postion is untenable. In fact, your position has been untenable from Jan 10 onwards. It has taken far too long for PKR to act on your suspect positioning, an insurance jobs to PKR and UMNO camps. and you have done much about nothing for 8 months.

In any organisation, like PKR, there must be onely one chief. A second chief doing their own things in Sabah PKR is just not on, just as it is not on any organsisation where a departmental manager is running its own agenda, advising competitor where they have gone wrong, planning to be tour operator during business hours, refuse to communicate (give respect ) with the chief for 8 months, dont support own company marketing campaign (with hints of blackmail) re absence of support in Sibu buy-election.

These gypsies vagabonds PKR members must learn that this is no longer acceptable. There is only one chief in PKR and he is not Jeff K. If you dont like it, join DAP/PAS or F off.

FOR PKR TO GET OF THE DEAD WOOD GLORY SEEKERS while ANWAR reinvented himself as an honest politician, sympathetic to minority concerns. It required too much heavy engineering and the end product was so unstable that it kept MALAYSIAN politics off-balance for a decade.the major Opposition parties seem trapped in either geographical or ideological limitations, with their cadre having become part-asset and part-liability. Individual dynamics require special circumstances, not to mention the heavy propulsion of hidden political boosters.

(Daily Express) – PKR Vice-President Dr Jeffrey Kitingan described the open invite to rejoin Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) by PBS Vice-President, Herbert Timbon Lagadan as an attempt to create a rift in the opposition party.

"I have my principles. I am fighting for the rakyat, not for myself," he said, adding he would only consider it if the Barisan Nasional would resolve the illegal immigrant and poverty problems, raise the oil royalty, create a Deputy Prime Ministership for Sabah or the East Malaysian states and respect the 20-Points.

"But Herbert knows very well that even though they are in BN, none of these have been resolved," he said. He invited Herbert and those in PBS to join Pakatan, instead.

Referring to his brother Datuk Seri Joseph pairin who is PBS President, he said "they (PBS) have already gone through partnership with Umno and know this arrangement won't work.

"He (Pairin) knows also that Umno rampas kuasa (grabbed power) from PBS and perpetuated the problem of illegal immigrants."

On the PKR at State level led by a peninsula member (Azmin Ali), Jeffrey said any reshuffle is normal but the Sabah side would like to have a Sabahan as a leader here. "This is only a temporary measure. We have not been put aside. I am still a Vice-President."

Meanwhile, the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition alliance comprising Keadilan, DAP and PAS would meet before the year ends to discuss and thrash out pressing issues towards agreeing on an acceptable module of principles, policies and decisions in government.

Keadilan supporter Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said this would be the agenda for the inaugural National PR Convention towards the end of October or November.

"We have agreed on the basic principles and will develop and refine these until we have a module to be agreed upon by the three parties (and whoever joining us) that this will form the basis of all our policies and decisions in government.

"The framework for the module would be based on the parties' respective manifestos that were used in the 2008 March elections, and on the principles agreed upon 10 years ago in the Permatang Pauh Declaration.

"People say this is mustahil (impossible). We just have to work and believe that this is good for the country," Zaid said the former Senator and Minister of Law.

Asked how PR could ensure a level playing-field in the next election against BN's power and might, Zaid said victory could only be gained with the help of the rakyat.

"We can't do it on our own, of course. The rakyat must understand and absorb the message that we are a better alternative for them.

On money politics, he said we must not be too pessimistic as people can change. "Slowly and surely, we are getting stronger. I have no doubt that if there is a reasonably clean electoral roll, a reasonably clean election process and procedure, we (PR) will gain power in the next election."

When told that some PR leaders were not consistent and even talked about establishing ties with BN, which was confusing, Zaid said the rakyat should look at how the leaders work together in facing BN.

"It's just individuals in the party who will say this and that. We have some differences somewhere on policies and implementation but they are solved."

Answering another question, he said the book "50 Kemusykilan Against Anwar Ibrahim and the Mentri Besar for Selangor" was part of an effort to undermine Keadilan leaders.

Truth has finally arrived in the capital. Give your fingerprints, serum, semen, and Lie. I mean lie on the couch of Truth with electrodes sticking to your scalp, wired to a polygraph machine, and online monitoring of your pulse and blood pressure. A concealed video camera running at high frames/per sec will be recording your expressions, movements, and signs of discomfort when they ask you, "So where were you on the night of Friday the 13th?" With the Devil of course, would be your subconscious answer. But the devil died that night, and all fingers point to you. True or false is not your problem. The damn thing is that any movement you make now, even if you tone up in anger, and your heart thumps in angst, the physiological interpretation is already written. The electrode on your scalp might be itchy, but this is not the time to scratch. That would be like self-immolation, proving beyond doubt that you were somewhere on that night, doing something your conscience is now trying to suppress. The anger on your face, the racing heart beat, and that attempt to scratch your head is demonstrable proof! And that is even without giving you a DC shock from the electric mattress on your ass, when you would have looped in the air like a dolphin and said hell to your innocence. Stop acting smart. Own up. Maybe the noose will be converted to a life term. Try for a Presidential pardon. Disclose your assets, you may even go free!RELATEDARTICLE

My unassailable admiration to the one who can make 'Truth' a brand name, and even get a trademark and propriety rights over such a rare Godly gift. The last I seriously read about propriety over this entity was, when, in early nineties, Carl 'The Truth' Williams, challenged the world heavyweight champ, Mike 'Iron' Tyson in a match in Tokyo. Can't forget the Reuters comment the next day: 'The Truth' was revealed in just two minutes-flat on the canvass beyond they counted more than a hundred. 'The Truth, lied that day. But that is just one day's story. There is a national calamity. Six lakh people need to be convicted or allowed to go free. Add to that a declaration that 'Big Sharks' will not be allowed to go free, precisely timed with the attorney general's remark not to push for TADA. Sanju Baba, the bad news is that they don't take you as a 'Big Shark' any more! The good news is that you are a darling of the crowds. They need another Munnabhai to get rid of the swine flu. But how will they compensate the 15 torturing years, if they never had sufficient evidence. Take the moral upper hand. Just forgive them. Grab a mask and start moving. Let me warn you, the 'let go' is only till the flu is a threat. New evidence crops up as quickly as you catch the virus. So take it easy, and we'll tip the surveillance agencies to keep reporting two to three cases a week. That should take care of the next two decades. By that time an AK-47 would be a relic, or a toy for mid-school children to scare away their kidnappers. On a serious note, the policy has not changed. Corruption should end here and now. Those charged for adultery can wait, till we bring an amendment on that issue (illegitimate, anyway).

The puritan legal premise, that 'all are innocent before law, till proved otherwise', is giving shocking results. The ratios have inverted. Legal 'due process' is in a stalemate, and the law machinery only dispenses your time and money. Benefit of doubt, is very much a doubt of a benefit. Just catch hold of your local SHO, discuss it over his favorite Royal Challenge and a meandering Royal Enfield is a common advice. Better still connect to someone in the 'underworld'. But does one find them. All basements in Mumbai and Delhi still submerged in water!

Legal parlance, however, recognizes and announces only two terms. 'Legal' or 'Illegal', 'indictment', or 'acquittal', and the application of law, there-of. 'Truth' is the responsibility of the one standing in the witness box. After artificial insemination, the origins and the ancient act of 'testimony' have lost its gravity. 'Truth' is not a unidimensional word. It has to be properly caged in, 'the truth, only the truth, and nothing else but the truth.'

Rejoice, there is more on the enterprise front. There is space for a companies as, 'Only the Truth', and 'Nothing else but the Truth'. Book and patent these names, if they have already not been taken away.

The Law is not an Ass any more. It is a horse that is pretty much close to water. It is a different matter as to when, where and how much it decides to drink. The present achievement duly taken note of, some efforts in making the horse drink more often may also be considered.

Can Malaysians avoid yet another crisis. Although oscillating between corrupt civilian governments and POLICE dictatorships, crises have been a way of life for BARISAN GOVERNMENT But this crisis IS GOING TO BE different. It IS not particularly for or against a leader. It was the third act of a grass-roots movement, led by the lawyers, in favor of the rule of law under a constitutional framework.

Ever since the 12th general election, when Malaysians used the ballot box to send a message to the powers-that-be, there has been an increasing number of blog postings and comments, letters to editors, articles and speeches, all pushing the idea that democracy, justice, human rights, equality, good governance and freedom (democracy) are undesirable in Malaysia. They do not all take the form of screeds and rants such as the writer's letter above. You Terence Fernandez can fuck with Vincent Tan fine don’t ever you fuck around with we Malaysian

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 10:56 AM PDT

Terence is a highly motivated individual who knows how to climb the corporate ladder. Back in NST, I am told, he actively courted a Muslim lady called Marina. He had only his STPM cert among degree holders and the prospect of "masuk melayu" for professional gain must have been tempting. After Citizen Nades took him to Brunei however, and just before he returned to Malaysia as the golden boy of Malaysian journalism, Terence Thamby dutifully dumped his love. he dumped his morals long back or maybe he never had them.
Is Vincent Tan among the indiviuals to be charged? Nice bedtime story for kids :how the head fox called upon his pack to investigate him. But it is apparent to most Malaysians(with the exception of Terence, of course) the end results of such investigations if done without fear or favour . The early demise of UMNO leadership itself. It is not going to happen anytime soon before the GE 13.. It took 22 years for Mahathir to bring about the rot in core UMNO leadership( and BN).

Najib: We must have zero tolerance for racism

Prime Minister Najib Razak has come out strongly to denounce racism, saying that the federal government should adopt the policy of zero tolerance on the issue, with special focus on those who try to incite racial hatred. But when taking questions from the floor in a question-and-answer session, he attempted to calm emotional waves by urging the public not to be quick about apportioning blame.

Politics is about Perception. The signs for BN now is spiralling very low eventhough many would disagree. If it was "CLEAR SKIES" Sarawak BN Chairman would already have had the "INSPIRATION FOR THE SATURDAY DATE.."

The loss of P212 Sibu  is indeed a blessing says an aide and a political secretary to CM to audie61 . We would not have known what "hit us" if Sibu was a convincing win. Pengarah JAIS Hendak Ambil Tindakan Kepada Nabi SAW?

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 06:34 AM PDT

Thamamah bin Athal al-Hanafi (ثمامة بن أثال الحنفي), seorang tawanan perang, lalu Allah memberi hidayah kepada beliau dengan beliau memeluk Islam. (Sila lihat Majmu' Fatawa wa Maqalaat Mutanawwi'ah oleh al-Syeikh al-'Allamah Abdul Aziz bin Abdillah bin Baz R.H. jld 8, m.s. 356)

Lalu Nabi S.A.W. berkata: "Lepaskan Thumamah!" Sesungghnya ketika pasukan tenteramu menangkapku, aku hendak menunaikan umrah, apakah pandangamu?"

KHUSRIN LANGGAR MADZHAB SYAFIEE?

Setahu saya mengikut Madzhab Syafiee, orang kafir diizinkan masuk masjid.

Najib: I am open to students in politics

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 05:15 AM PDT

Najib dropped hints that the door is still open for discussions on the hot topic of student participation in politics. "I know that the cabinet recently announced that they are maintaining the status quo, but I am still thinking about the idea of letting students participate in politics. "I still have an open mind on it so we can still debate the pros and cons, so that we can in the end make an accurate decision," he said.

PROVOKASI MEMBENCI MALAYSIA DI INDONESIA AGENDA SINGAPURA?

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 04:29 AM PDT

Soalnya mengapa?

Saya naqal dari sebuah laporan Human Rights Watch:

Banyak pekerja domestik bekerja keras tanpa upah selama berbulan-bulan untuk melunasi hutang ke agen pengerah tenaga kerja, bekerja berjam-jam tujuh hari seminggu, atau terkungkung di tempat kerja mereka. Penolakan pemerintah Singapura untuk memperluas perlindungan tenaga kerja biasa ke para pekerja domestik membuka kemungkinan terjadinya penyalahgunaan terhadap mereka.-Kenneth Roth, direktur eksekutif Human Rights Watch

Namun media-media Indonesia hanya menumpu serangan mereka kepada MAlaysia semata-mata. Mengapa?

MENGAPA APABILA SINGAPURA MENCURI PASIR INDONESIA TIADA SIAPA YANG BERDEMO?

Benar, saudara/ri sekelian.

Indonesia believes the bankers took part in an astounding heist of more than US$13.5 billion looted from the Indonesian central bank's recapitalization lifeline to 48 ailing banks. According to Indonesian authorities, the recipient banks, many owned by cronies and relatives of the ousted strongman Suharto, used much of the money for currency speculation, loans to affiliated business groups and repayment of subordinated loans and securities transactions instead of guaranteeing creditors' deposits.

But more than that, an astounding 18,000 Indonesians considered to be worth more than US$1 million are living in Singapore, population 4.5 million, with an aggregate wealth of US$87 billion, according to a 2006 study, the "Asia-Pacific Wealth Report" by Merrill Lynch and the consulting company Capgemini. Indonesia, with a population of 180 million, has only 17,000 millionaires itself.

The city-state has always been a bolt-hole for Indonesian tycoons, many of them Chinese, a step ahead of the law or sporadic ethnic violence such as that which swept Indonesia after the financial crisis. Yunus Husein, Chairman of the Financial Transactions Report & Analysis Center in Jakarta, told reporters that the Indonesian embassy in Singapore had confirmed that some 200 debtors who owe money to the state had been hiding there since 1998.

Traders’ Head Wants A Fist-Fight With Guan Eng.

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 02:58 AM PDT

Komtar Merchants' Association (KMA) deputy president Mohamed Ghani Abd Jiman has challenged Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to a fist-fight, alleging the DAP leader had defamed him.

Claiming the state leader had accused him of embezzlement during a North-East Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) meeting in Komtar on Wednesday, Mohamed Ghani said he was willing to fight Lim if the latter could provide a venue.

"In the meeting attended by some 250 people, he said I had collected more money from KMA members than I was supposed to. This is a lie. I am not an Ah Long (loan shark). I challenge Lim to make his complaints official by lodging a police report," he told a press conference in Komtar yesterday.

Mohamed Ghani had lodged a police report, his third against Lim, at the Patani Road police station at 9.30am.

The allocation of trading lots at the bazaar in Komtar and the monthly rental payment by the traders had stirred a controversy involving Mohamed Ghani, the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and Lim.

The PDC had insisted that traders pay the rental direct to them instead of going through the association.

Mohamed Ghani claimed the traders had insisted on paying the association the rental instead of giving it directly to the PDC.

The KMA deputy president yesterday said he was unsure if Lim had stated a certain amount he (Mohamed Ghani) had allegedly embezzled.

PDC senior assistant manager (Property Division) Roslan Hassan said in a statement that the corporation had yet to receive any payment from Mohamed Ghani for the rental of stalls in the Komtar Ramadan bazaar.

Dr M gives Najib an earful on NEM

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 02:13 AM PDT

Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has expressed his "constructive criticisms" to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on the latter's New Economic Model. "I have made my views known to the prime minister," said Mahathir, without elaborating when and how this was done, when met at the national mosque after Friday prayers today. In addition, Mahathir said, he had also written to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Idris Jala on the same topic. Full story here: www.malaysiakini.com

Blind Singer: Alfred Ho

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 01:06 AM PDT

Some of you may have heard of Alfred Ho, who used to write occasionally to Malaysiakini, and once memorably told me, "If even a blind man can see how the country is being destroyed, so should the rest of the rakyat."

This one time social political blogger has recently made his Youtube debut – I believe due to the great efforts of his wife Rufina :)

I think there are some 3-4 languages in the selection below alone :P Would love some videos of some nice Malay numbers tho, hehe. (I'll update this more a bit later on :)

Anyway, I figured it'd be something nice to leave you with on the weekend :)

(I want to learn this one!!)

Assessing Selangor state govt performance

Posted: 26 Aug 2010 10:01 PM PDT

This is what is strange with this MB, I think that he does not have a system. Any exco member that he wants to ask to solve a problem, he does so indiscriminately. Even when it is something the exco member knows nothing about. I don't understand why he asked (Elizabeth) Wong (right) to handle the issue of agriculture, why not that fellow (exco member) Yaakop Sapari who is in charge of agriculture? Wong handles environmental affairs, she does not know anything about agriculture. Like when I fought with another exco member Ronnie Liu last time about land to build housing for fishermen. This is an agricultural problem. I know that it involved local council land but let us solve issues rather as opposed to following the municipal way. Last time they wanted to use tithe money to run projects because they claim we do not give allocations for development. Now we have given money and projects, they do not want them. I am not going to give them money to put into their pockets just like that. Sorry, I will not do that. Last time we gave them allocations for roads and building development. But they used the money for other projects. There were no buildings and roads built. You can go ask the district officers, they do not have work now, the assistant district officers in charge of development no longer have anything to do. How can they have work when there are no more state projects?

PD has progressed by leaps and bounds

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 04:14 AM PDT

From Charles Joseph, via e-mail

I refer to your report, 'Welcome to 'Port Dead-son'. It is a very exaggerated piece. Speak to those who frequent PD and they will tell you it has progressed and improved so much in the last three years.

More foreigners are retiring there. Hotels and resorts standards have improved vastly. Infrastructure is much better now.

But the story that all stalls and warongs by the sea and elsewhere are reserved only for Bumis, is true. MPPD must look into that seriously...Delta Corus, Selesa Hotels, Bayu Beach, and most other popular resorts are so much better now.

If you book into third and fourth class resorts, don't complain. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Legends and Admiral Marina Cove and Thistle sea front condos attract many foreigners who can vouch for the clean and superior standards.

PD is progressing by the day. I can vouch for that - a frequent PD traveller from the city on business.

From Phil Ho, via e-mail

This is really sad. I visited PD long time ago when the beach was clean and most visitors enjoyed their short stay, away from maddening KL, as PD is not too far off.

Malaysia will be a great place to work, if only...

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 04:11 AM PDT

From G Marshal Joseph, via e-mail

I fully agree with the Nabriza Ghazali and others that Malays and Indians who are equally qualified with their Chinese counterparts, find it difficult to get jobs in the private sector.

I wish to highlight my experience during my working career. I completed my high school and diploma in electrical engineering in 1977. Since there was not much job opportunties in Malaysia for the oil and gas industry, I went to Singapore to start working on my first assignment.

I worked in all the major shipbuilding companies of Singapore but couldn't come up in terms of promotions because it was controlled by Malaysian Chinese. I was an electrical foreman/supervisor for nearly nine years. No doubt during this period of time I was exposed to all multinational companies and gained the experience which led me to where I am today.

After nine years in Singapore, I returned to Malaysia and worked for a foreign oil and gas company and then there was no turning back. The company sent me all over the world where they had projects and paid me well and really took care ofits employees.

Sometimes I have to sacrifice my time with the family when I am abroad. But it is not that I like doing that but there was no other choice.

There are lot of jobs available in Malaysia for the oil and gas industry. If only the private sector does not discriminate and look for people who are competent and with experience rather than the colour of the skin, Malaysia will be a great place to work.

Conspicuous silence from top guns on baby dumping

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 04:08 AM PDT

From Eric Yeap, via e-mail

It's a sad day for Malaysians to have read that another body of a baby with bruises all over, being dumped somewhere near Rembau.

It's even sadder to see that none of the big shot politicians from any party for that matter make any statement about the incident.

The saddest part of all are the press, for not frontlining the issue so as to pressure the authorities to take some sort of concrete action.

Please be reminded that as politicians, you were voted in by the rakyat to represent them and to speak up for them and to fight for justice which they can't fight for by themself.

And to the press, well you are the voice of the people, you are responsible to write on topics that need to be looked into by the authorities and to pen advisories to the rakyat so that they will know how to differentiate between right and wrong.

With that said, I hope the press, the big shot politicians from all parties and the authorities will come together and pool their resources to tackle this new phenomena which is hitting the roof in Malaysia.

Please do not wait for more babies to be dumped to warrant action. Let's talk about human conscience here, babies are dying everyday just because you guys are hurling accusations at each other and not doing anything to stop it.

Since this phenomena is caused by disarrayed youths, I hope the youth wings of all political parties in this holy month of Ramadan can take a moment to reflect, forgive and forget and sit together to brainstorm on how to tackle the problem.

For a remedy 101 on baby dumping, I would suggest you guys read up this gallant lady Marina's 'Stop tip-toeing around' piece in Sunday's Star.

This letter is dedicated to all those babies who died being dumped by their disarrayed parents who had nowhere to turn to for help when they needed it most in this modern day Malaysian society .
