Zaid Ibrahim will be the victor and Hulu Selangor will have strong voice in Parliament as from tomorrow.
I am not a fortune teller but based on my intuition with some basic scientific and technical observation Zaid will clinch victory with more than 2500 votes over Kamalanathan.
My friends from BN camp who had coffee and tea with me today begged to differ but that was just my opinion and it may be wrong, even though deep in me I feel that is the actual truth to happen.
Some other friends close to me in BN common Center talked to me over the cell phone and e-mails agreed with me without exertion.
They say that they are not competent enough to compete with PAS machinery who works in full steam, while they in the common center spent too much time loitering around without organic result.
They have MBs, Ministers and big leaders but they are not on the ground except for a few like TS Isa Samad. They said that the campaigners from NS performed reasonably well under Isa Samad and that is the consolation point for BN workers.
The big Pakatan rally in mini stadium in KKB attracted not less than 50000 strong crowd of which estimated slightly more than 20000 were voters. It was noticeable that the crowd were engrossed with speeches of Tok Guru Nik Aziz, Lim Guan Eng, TS Khalid Ibrahim and others.
I don't know how big was the crowd with Dr Mahathir and Najib last night but the figure at the mini stadium in KKB can let them compare and calculate the percentage of moral support over there with those big leaders.
Now the campaign period is over and it is time for the voters to exercise their democratic rights fairly in actual sense of democracy.
No matter what comes by let it is all secretive, as much as possible. The quarreling parties should cease to admonish any side from now on.
The democracy is taking place and now is going to be over by 5 pm today. Let all gone be bygone with no harboring of hatred feelings among everyone involved in this by election campaigning process.
Even though we are still miles away to reach democracy of Westminster Abbey, but that is the best that Malaysian democracy can show.
Not that bad after all but there are still ample room for improvement.
To the voters of Hulu Selangor I wish them all the best. Think seriously before casting the vote and appreciate that someone has got to win and the other has got to loose.
That is why we call it an ELECTION.

This Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-election is now a national referendum on the Prime Minister Najib Razak. Najib has himself declared the by-election a referendum; the Prime Minister has given this election distinct prominence by his declaration and his active involvement in the election campaign.
It has been customary that in any by-elections, the deputy prime minister leads the Barisan National alliance and by design act as a defence mechanism to the reputation and criticism of the party alienating the no.1 from any adverse negative repercussion.
It has been a surprise and shock to many when Najib made the pronouncement and took over the leadership of the campaign machinery. Even had his "boss" campaigning in the constituency and this could be a first for the Malaysian election history where the so called first lady took an active role running the ground campaign.
Either Najib is so sure of winning or he is really that dumb.
Najib has stolen the limelight in this by-election and it is now all about him and maybe his "boss" being included and this is exactly why the no.1 is traditionally not directly involved in any by-elections.
Many were shock at his announcement and some became highly suspicious on his show of confidence and questions begin to arise resulting in the opposing team having to review the strategic battle plan. But then on further contemplation it could just be out of a plain overdose of exuberance especially after meeting world famous leaders and being elevated.
There is now not much option open to Najib as if he loses this election, the pressure both outside and from inside of umno will mount on him. According to an old chinese proverb, "He has now been placed on the altar".
Tonight is the night! Tonight we will know whether Najib is Confident or He is just plain Dumb.
And if he is so confident than we will want to know why he is so confident or what has given him that confidence.
Keep your eye wide open to this Hulu Selangor polling day today, for Najib has led himself to a corner and things could get desperate.
The votes could just be overwhelming.

We were at Pakatan Rakyat's closing ceramah at the KKB mini-stadium where more than 50,000 were gathered to mark the end of the intense campaign for the Ulu Selangor parliamentary seat. It was a heady, jubilant atmosphere charged with positive feelings about the outcome of this massively significant "referendum" on the nation's political future.
Because of the immense crowd, me and my friends opted to leave the stadium before Anwar had finished his fiery speech. When we got back to Kg Pertak, we were shocked to find the entrance blocked by a group of men who had parked a couple of motorbikes across the road.
A couple of Temuan youth had been assigned RELA T-shirts and flashlights and instructed to stop people from entering the village. A group of imported Umno heavies (some from Pekida it appears) stood around to provide additional muscle power.
What's utterly sickening is the vicious and violent energy Najib's goons have brought to Malaysian politics. Never have I witnessed such despicable strategies, born of abject fear of losing power.

So far I have not seen any consistencies in the way these ceremonies are conducted by the priests of different temples. And nobody seems to know which priest is doing the right way. Probably I lack religious education, but I can't accept the fact that there are many ways that a religious ceremony or rituals can be conducted. When this happens in almost all the temples that I have been, I have lost confidence in these priest whom I believe are not monitored and their practices are definitely not regulated.
MINNAL RTM Media biased against Islam
Hyderabad: Senior journalist and chief editor of Deccan Chronicle and Asian Age, MJ Akbar said that a section of the western media has been reporting certain news with a clear prejudice on issues relating to Islam, Muslims and occupation of Iraq.
He was delivering the 4th Professor S. Bashiruddin Memorial Lecture here on "The traps of prejudice in reporting" on 21 August. The event was jointly organized by Prof. S. Bashiruddin Memorial Committee, Osmania Journalism Alumni Association, Advertising Club, Hyderabad and the AP Chapter of Public Relations Society of India.
He said the print media enjoys an importance as it offers the true picture of everything inspite of the electronic media. He said that there have been large developments in journalism during the last 10-15 years. One of these developments is the new technology and television. Television has made print media a powerful weapon, he said.
Commenting on recent attempts to peddle the theory of the so-called incompatibility of Islam with democracy, he said, "political system should not be confused with religious reality." He said that dictatorship is also prevalent in Hindu and Christian societies. Although the West thinks that Islam is limited to only Arab countries, Muslims are found in great numbers in eastern countries. He said that Bangladesh is a democratic country whereas there are dictatorships in Arab countries courtesy the US.
Commenting on the term 'foreigner,' he said that Mughals are not foreigners as they had developed many fields for which their subjects used to pray for them. Foreigners are those who come here and go away taking our wealth like the British. On Jihad, he said that there is no difference between Dharam Yudh and Jihad. «

Viva Denmark! Notice the T-shirt!
Obama is a very friendly guy. But note his expression here. The grim lines. The Democratic Zionists are already pushing back, hard. His choice for CIA head caused a mini-riot in the DNC Zionist enclaves. They want one of their own in that position. They remember Eisenhower and his CIA group. This group didn't want Israel to run riot. When Israel joined France and England in attacking Egypt, he stopped them. The nightmare of the Zionists is for the CIA to be run by non-rightwing neocons. Obama didn't consult with the Zionists in the Democratic House or Senate because he wanted to have someone beholden to him, not Israel, advising him about foreign affairs.
The Zionists in Congress are already up in arms because he won't endorse ethnic cleansing outright. His silence is infuriating them even more than it upsets those of us who are against the butchering of women and children. Look at Jimmy Carter here! He saved America from the stagflation mess. He stood up to Russia in a real way which hurt US farmers who were making money in Russia. But he revealed the gulf between stupid talk about fighting communism and really fighting communism.

The truth is that unless you surf sites looking for a spectrum of opinions you don't have access to information about what many Muslims think of the current situation. I agree there are many blogs etc and the IndianMuslims blog is another one that's great time slots for islamic voices to be heard? feel sometimes however that the victim card is played often. The truth is that RTMMinal is A HINDU BOGOT we're all in a minority at some point in some part of the country (ask Tamil MUSLIMS in MALAYSIA and they will tell you that they have had little space in the public sphere for almost 50 years). Not everything is a conspiracy …"Muslim terrorists" so far. Never… Actually no one (govt nor media) calls them terrorists – but rather calls them Militants…even though RTM MINAL chose to call them terrrorists…
Why? Because even though the underlying foundation of the terror there is based on religious identity and a desire of Nizam-e-Mustafa – the card played is of Kashmiri identity… So no one pays attention to the muslim identity.
On contrary, elsewhere – the moment something happens, theTHE HINDU RTM MINAL and other self-styled dramatist activists play the muslim-victimhood-card… And the attention is drawn to the religion. Its not the common hindu who is doing this damage to the muslim community, its these self-styled championWe need people like you, we need professionalMUSLIM communicators, a solid campaign to fight out these evil mongers. MIC Youth chief T. Mohan, who was speaking across the field, countered using a loudhailer to disrupt Gobalakrishnan's speech.
There was confusion among the crowd which numbered about 300 with both Gobalakrishnan and Mohan speaking.
Officials said that when Gobala-krishnan spoke about Samy Vellu, Mohan highlighted the scandals involving Anwar.

Just a hype. When the day came, nothing actually happened. No slippers... just a few anti-Blair banners and placards. It was really anti-climax!
Nope, I wasnt there as I had to attend a function. But I kept track via SMS and few calls to friends who were part of the anti-Blair campaign at the Sunway Convention Centre yesterday morning. Not many Perkasa members attended. Others were university students and NGO members (read here).
What happened? After so much excitement about the demo, it was suddenly reduced from a public rally to a small assembly. I was hoping to see at last 1,000 people based on the response and publicity on blogs and other media.
Poorly organised is perhaps the right word. What could had happened was some parties wanted to claim credit as the main organiser for the rally. I remember what took place when we rallied at the Australian High Commission in February... do you?
And finally, Blair the Liar emerged the winner. Also, organiser Success Resources of Singapore which made good bucks out of it. The former British premier is also paid handsomely for the talks.
Another reason, maybe, is the price of slippers suddenly soared after retailers heard about the 'Thousands Slippers' story. The organisers just couldnt afford it!

Giving RM1,000 each to Felda Settlers while promising another RM49,000 more if Selangor was 'recaptured' back by BeEnd in coming 13th General Elections.
Giving RM50,000 each to 100 Orang Asli families in Hulu Selangor while using Jabatan Hal Ehwal Orang Asli jeeps to bring beer and alcohol to 'entertain' the orang asli families for the past 7 days of campaigning.
Promising RM3,000,000 to 4 Chinese primary school IF BeEnd is to win tomorrow's Hulu Selangor by-election.
What about the Indians? Ee-lek po-chi?
Our Mr.PM Najib has been virtually 'throwing' money in this coming by-election. Why? Is it because he's trying to 'swing' back the votes to BeEnd especially in this last minute campaigning where if not mistaken, he has pledged more than RM500 Million to the residents in Hulu Selangor.
Something is not right somewhere. Is he really serious that money politics still relevant these day? Sure boh?? Will you be so sure that people will vote for you even after taking RM100,000 from you? It may still be relevant to our orang asli people who are more naive and simple. But to the Malays and the Chinese, sometimes it will "backfire" especially when you 'only pledged' to pay in case you WIN. What about when you lose? Will Najib be a 'sore-losers' and refuse to pay? I guess everyone knows the answer… Hehe.
One wonder where the heck is MACC? This hopeless government agency has indeed either gone o sleep or holiday with their brothers-in-arm Election Commission as such blantant acts of 'vote-buying' could happen in broad daylight without any shame or fear! The MACC has proven again that they are useless when the figure comes to millions or hundred of millions while continue to hunt down 'ikan bilis' of a few thousand ringgit. This the reason why the more we need to send a clear signal to BeEnd that their End is indeed near starting with this by-election in Hulu Selangor.
Tonight the FINALE of Pakatan Rakyat campaign was held in 'mini' stadium in Kuala Kubu Bharu where according to the twitt of our Penang CM Lim Guan Eng, more than 50,000 has flocked to the stadium to listen to the last minute speech of Pakatan heavy-weights and if these attendance can be 'transformed' into votes, then I really believe a real miracle is in the making. Malaysiakini has also reported that more than 20,ooo people has flocked to the stadium when the report was updated on 10:32 pm.
It has been a near-impossible task for Pakatan Rakyat to muscle with BeEnd jaggernaughts of election machinery but you just can't discount the 'People's Power' when it matters! It is very important that the rakyat be united in all races to say 'enough' to BeEnd and send a clear signal that WE ARE READY FOR THE CHANGE!
Let's do it, Hulu Selangor & Good Luck to Pakatan's candidate Zaid Ibrahim!

After UMNO sidelined Palanivel to hang high and dry like a sotong (squid), the MIC No 2 was so cheesed off that he said, words to the effect, UMNO shall now be responsible for Kamalanathan's victory.
At best that was Palanivel saying if Kamal were to bomb out in the by-election, blame UMNO. At worst, it could be anything from Palanivel and faction scratching their b@ll$ and picking their noses while drinking kopi-o throughout the campaign period to sabotaging the young upstart picked by UMNO.
Private conversation overheard in HS: Pordah, they can go f* themselves; why the f* should I slog anymore for those @$$h*le$.
Meanwhile, Najib thinking he has sown up the Malay and Indian votes, worries about the forecast 75% (minimum) of Chinese votes, including those cast by HS' MCA members wakakaka, going to Zaid Ibrahim. So he piled the pressure on the new MCA leadership by declaring the HS by-election is the acid test for Chua and Liow.
Private conversation overheard in HS: Mafulat, ta'sangka ahli MCA undi ni kaki botol juga!
Tapi Datuk, orang Cina syiok kaki yamseng lah hehehhe! [thinking he was smart making a joke]

However Chua said victory for Alan (I'm sure by now you know who) is the responsibility of all BN component parties.
Private conversation overheard in HS: Tiu nia seng, your man called our women 'kai' (chicken) and you still expect the Chinese to support your man, or the MCA kena blame. Real harmkarch'an lah. Ah Larn? Nah, your Larn T'ooi lah! Watch me serve the responsibility back like Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

PKR's situation is so dire after beign abandoned by PAS until Nik Aziz's arrival yesterday... and even then it appears that Malay voters are not convinced abotu Zaid's drinking and gambling track record, and that is before they start looking at his anti-Malay sentiments and anti-Hudud stance...
With the candidate mortally wounded, Pakatan has no choice but to start spreading lies, this time they desperately forged Perkasa's letterhead and created a flyer to ask Malay voters to vote for a Malay candidate...
Of course we all know that Zaid Ibrahim is only Malay in name so it remains to be seen how effective the fake lettter on a forged letterhead is...
but hey, a drowning man will clutch at straws, a dying political party will do anything to survive...
As Anwar's links with the ZIonists become more and more clear, there is little doubt that Malays wills shy away from his party, especially since it is now so clearly fighting only for Anwar Ibrahim's dreams of becoming Prime Minister....

Dr Mahathir, Najib, Muhyiddin and many other big guns are in Hulu Selangor campaigning for BN.
Dr Mahathir is supporting the party not the candidate this time around and let him alone knows why he changes goal post too often.
Listening to his advice can be deceiving as I am one of those who took his advice to support the candidate not the party.
His argument then was that if we choose the party, the candidate chosen by the party may be the wrong one.
So he advised us strongly that we should choose the candidate not the party.
Now he is supporting the party which has obviously chosen a wrong candidate to the mind and opinion of many voters in Hulu Selangor.
But there are still many who still take his previous advice that is to choose the candidate not the party and that explains why BN is shivering cold in Hulu Selangor.
There is no point taking his current advice because when time changes he may be back to advise us to choose the candidate, not the party.
Now he is in Hulu Selangor because the feeling on the ground is that both party and the candidate are rejected by the people in the constituency.
Zaid has taken over the attention of the voters of Hulu Selangor at this current moment.
To Datuk Zaid, I wish him luck and all the best. You are indeed the better candidate.

Muslims love to prattle on about how warlike the 'infidels' are, especially America or anyone that can be portrayed as one of America's friends. A recent op-ed in a Malaysian government-controlled newspaper*, The Star, excoriated former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, stating in this piece that "Malaysia must not allow this mass murderer to be immune from justice." So says the author of said piece, one "Professor Shad Saleem Farudi". OK, I get it...America is evil and so is anyone that cooperates with America.
Meanwhile, Muslims who are actually engaged in ongoing mass murder of the worse sort imaginable--bombings and shootings of Muslims praying at mosques, bombings of Muslims being patched back together from said bombings in emergency rooms, bombings of Muslims who are attending funerals of other bombing/shooting victims--this merits, at most, only a passing mention in the Malaysian media. Actually, such barbarisms are usually not mentioned at all, not in what passes as the 'Malaysian media'. Not even a hint of condemnation is to be heard.
Tony Blair stands accused by many Muslims and Muslim groups as being a 'war criminal' and for committing 'crimes against humanity', while Saddam Hussein (may he rot in hell) is never similarly accused in the Muslim media. Yes, Saddam is mercifully dead, thanks to the efforts of alleged 'war criminal' Tony Blair and others, but the authors of the real war crimes described above--the Taliban--are quite alive and well. And still, their enormous crimes are at best ignored, and perhaps tacitly accepted, by Malaysians of all stripes, both inside and outside the government and media.
Malaysia and its people studiously do nothing to fight against those who wantonly murder civilians, including women and children, in schools, mosques, hospitals, and elsewhere. Why? Because this means Malaysia would be openly seen to be helping Americans fight Muslims, you see. Meanwhile, the aforementioned self-righteous Mister Shad Saleem Farudi of course cannot even be bothered to write a perfunctory proforma letter to the editor to speak ill of his fellow co-religionists, the Taliban, or of their many real war crimes. Only infidels commit crimes against humanity, never Muslims. Never mind the facts. And when reality gets in the way, well, you just invent your own reality, like Mr. Farudi and his fellow Mohammedans have done.
All of this has made one thing loud and clear to me. To be a Muslim means to be a hypocrite par excellence.
*All of the 'mainstream media' in Malaysia is government-controlled to some degree--nothing is published or remains in print or on TV without government permission.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
