PART 2 how did Ezam become Mahathir's script writer? Mahathir need Ezam FINISH OFF ANWAR ,MAHATIR FAILED IN HIS Attempted murder
We must value our stability because it has made it possible for this country to develop much faster than other countries.the malaysian dictator, mahathir, under the growing burden of corruption and cronyism, conspired to halt the march of freedom. in order to build his fraudulent case against anwar, mahathir himself ordered my arrest.
A VULTURE, NAMED MAHATHIRAs a student I knew of the horrors of the Holocaust and other human tragedies, but merely as a distant thunder: The violation of human rights and crimes against humanity were only an abstract notion. That was all fated to change with my arrest under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA) of Malaysia, which allows for indefinite detention without trial. My crime? I had known Anwar Ibrahim, the deputy prime minister and finance minister of Malaysia, as a close personal friend for many years. We shared and strove for a vision of life firmly rooted in human dignity. We struggled for building an intellectual and political milieu for free expression. Together, we subscribed to the idea of economic prosperity, gender and racial equality and a civil society.Alas, the Malaysian dictator, Mahathir, under the growing burden of corruption and cronyism, conspired to halt the march of freedom. In order to build his fraudulent case against Anwar, Mahathir himself ordered my arrest. My kidnapping and detention by the infamous Malaysian Special Branch taught me how it feels to be forcibly separated from one's wife and children. How it feels to be searched and seized, disallowed to make phone calls, handcuffed, blindfolded, stripped naked, driven in an animal cage, shaven bald, endlessly interrogated, humiliated, drugged, deprived of sleep, physically abused. What it's like to be threatened, blackmailed, tormented by police lawyers, brutalized to make a totally false confession, hospitalized for a consequent heart ailment, and treated as a psychiatric patient with symptoms of Stockholm syndrome.Barely surviving on a meager diet of rancid rice and chicken along with 12 medicines a day, I spent nearly four months handcuffed around the clock to my hospital bed, under the watchful eyes of the prison guards.Thereafter, my ability to speak, read and write took a considerable time to show signs of recovery. Short-term memory lapses were frequent. I existed in a fluid state in which suicidal tendencies, depression and despair were punctuated by fits of rage and indignation.Weekly visits of less than an hour by my wife, Nadia, with our young children — Aisha and Omran — were my only contact with the outside world and the only inspiration to live on.In collusion with the lawyer appointed on my behalf by the police, the Malaysian authorities refused the legal assistance of my choice, coercing me not to mount an appeal against the court verdict and threatening me with greater punishment under new charges if I didn't co-operate.Simultaneously, Nadia constantly endured police harassment, wiretapping and disruption of our e-mail and bank accounts. Some of our friends were met with the same fate and were compelled to abandon us when we needed them most. But, in attempting to scare off and alienate my friends, how terribly mistaken were Malaysian autocrats in aping gross Gestapo tactics. How they underestimated the temper of freedom in so many places around the world, above all among friends in the West.Floodgates of human compassion were opened when the futurist author Alvin Toffler, who Mahathir asked to advise him on a pet high-technology project, sent a message of protest to the Malaysian leader within 72 hours of my capture. In a major interview with the Western press, Mahathir even felt it necessary to make assurances — unfulfilled, of course — about my well being. With every passing day, the rising tide of concern for my plight seemed to personify the words of Elie Wiesel: "Take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor. Never the victim. Never the tormented."Friends and strangers alike took a stand and support began to mushroom everywhere. Nadia related to me in the hospital how Amnesty International had declared me a "prisoner of conscience," and how Pen International adopted me as a "writer in prison." Against all odds, two prominent Malaysian lawyers, Manjeet Singh Dhillon and Balwant Singh Siddhu, offered their services unconditionally. To top it all, an international coalition — Friends of Dr. Anees — came into existence in defence of my rights. The core group of Naseer Ahmad, Baseer Hai, Safir Rammah, Jamal Mubarak, Anees Ahmad and Naeem Siddiqui mounted a media campaign with phenomenal success. What touched my heart was that the person, Kamal Mubarak, who set up the Web site had never met me in person. From the depths of my confinement, I could see the magic of human compassion had begun to defeat oppression. The pinnacle was reached after my release in the warm hug laced with watery eyes of an Amnesty friend in Toronto, Margaret John, who witnessed a pledge of solidarity between me and Devan Nair, the former president of Singapore, for we had come to share a similar fate.My victimization at the hands of Mahathir's "Asian values" has transformed me in another way. All my adult life, like so many in the Muslim world, I have suspected under every nook and cranny some conspiracy by the West to keep us down. Yet, in this seminal experience of my life, my friends in the West succeeded in saving me, while Mahathir, a Muslim, did everything to destroy me. And he is trying to do the same to Anwar again through his obliging courts on totally fabricated charges.Mahathir has demonstrated that, though a proclaimed Muslim, his heart is blind to compassion. Tyranny is the hallmark of his bankrupt concept of "Asian values."My tragedy, and that of my friend Anwar, ought to make our fellow Muslims think very hard when they ponder the West and its role in the world. As we set out to shape our collective destiny in the 21st century, will the values of Mahathir or Jefferson serve us best? Mahathir himself made that choice for me. Sic semper tyrannis. These are words of Dr. Munawar A. Anees related article
On September 29, 1972 it was revealed that John Mitchell, while serving as Attorney General, controlled a secret Republican fund used to finance intelligence-gathering against the Democrats. On October 10, the FBI reported that the Watergate break-in was part of a massive campaign of political spying and sabotage on behalf of the officials and heads of the Nixon re-election campaign. Despite these revelations, Nixon's re-election campaign was never seriously jeopardized, and on November 7 the President was re-elected in one of the biggest landslides ever in American political history.
Barker had been given the checks by Liddy in an attempt to avoid direct proof that Barker ever had received funds from the organization. Barker had attempted to disguise the origin of the funds by depositing the donor's checks into bank accounts which (though controlled by him), were located in banks outside of the United States. What Barker, Liddy, and Sloan did not know was that the complete record of all such transactions are held, after the funds cleared, for roughly six months. Barker's use of foreign banks to deposit checks and withdraw the funds via cashier's checks and money orders in April and May 1972 guaranteed that the banks would keep the entire transaction record at least until October and November 1972.
The connection between the break-in and the re-election campaign committee was highlighted by media coverage. In particular, investigative coverage by Time, The New York Times, and especially The Washington Post, fueled focus on the event. The coverage dramatically increased publicity and consequent political repercussions. Relying heavily upon anonymous sources, Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein uncovered information suggesting that knowledge of the break-in, and attempts to cover it up, led deep into the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, and even the White House. Chief among the Post's anonymous sources was an individual they had nicknamed Deep Throat (who was much later revealed in 2005 to be former Deputy Director of the FBI William Mark Felt, Sr.) It was Deep Throat who met secretly with Woodward, and told him of Howard Hunt's involvement with the Watergate break-in, and that the rest of the White House staff regarded the stake in Watergate extremely high. Deep Throat also warned Woodward that the FBI wanted to know where he and the other reporters were getting the information which was uncovering even a wider web of crimes than first disclosed. In one of their last meetings, all of which took place at an underground parking garage somewhere in Washington DC at 2:00 AM, Deep Throat cautioned Woodward that he might be followed and not to trust their phone conversations.
Rather than ending with the trial and conviction of the burglars, the investigations grew broader; a Senate committee chaired by Senator Sam Ervin was set up to examine Watergate and began issuing subpoenas to White House staff members.
On April 30, 1973, Nixon was forced to ask for the resignation of two of his most influential aides, H. R. Haldemanand John Ehrlichman, both of whom were indicted and ultimately went to prison. He also fired White House Counsel John Dean, who went on to testify before the Senate and become the key witness against President Nixon.
The President announced these resignations in an address to the American people:
"In one of the most difficult decisions of my Presidency, I accepted the resignations of two of my closest associates in the White House, Bob Haldeman, John Ehrlichman, two of the finest public servants it has been my privilege to know. Because Attorney General Kleindienst, though a distinguished public servant, my personal friend for 20 years, with no personal involvement whatever in this matter has been a close personal and professional associate of some of those who are involved in this case, he and I both felt that it was also necessary to name a new Attorney General. The Counsel to the President, John Dean, has also resigned."
On the same day, Nixon appointed a new Attorney General, Elliot Richardson, and gave him authority to designate, for the Watergate inquiry, a special counsel who would be independent of the regular Justice Department hierarchy. In May 1973, Richardson named Archibald Cox to the position.
The scope of the Attorney-General's powers in Malaysia has long been a subject of debate and controversy. There has been no call for him to account for the failure of a number of high-profile prosecutions, which commenced with much fanfare but ended up being a waste of public funds.
how did Ezam become Mahathir's script writer? Mahathir need Ezam FINISH OFF ANWAR
In 2003 or thereabouts, Anuar Shaari, Ezam Mohd Nor, and two other people who have all since left the opposition, made a trip to the United States. I did not know about it until I received a phone call from a contact in the US. He wanted me to verify who these four people are and whether it is true that they work for the Free Anwar Campaign.
I was caught off guard and did not know how to respond. I lied and said I was in a meeting and whether I could call him back later. I then got in touch with someone who would know what was going on and asked him what was happening.
The person I contacted was surprised that I had found out.
I was of course quite perturbed. The Free Anwar Campaign was just me. I was running the Free Anwar Campaign alone. There were no other people involved in the Free Anwar Campaign. How come there are now four people in the US who are supposedly there on the Free Anwar Campaign business?
The person I spoke to told me why they were there. He then asked me to call back the US and confirm with the person who had called me that the four are legitimate. I did as I was told — but not before I gave that person a piece of my mind and told him I did not like what was going on. Nevertheless, for the sake of the cause I will obey the order.
I then called back the US and told my contact that the four people who were there are legitimate. I also gave him the names of the four people and my US contact confirmed that I was right.
It is important that I confirm that these four are authorised to act on behalf of the Free Anwar Campaign, my US contact informed me. Then he asked me another question. "Is it true that the opposition is very short of money and that if they had a few million Ringgit then the opposition has a better chance of winning the next general election?"
"That is true," I replied.
"Okay," my US contact told me. "Then we will help arrange something for them. Ten or twenty million Ringgit is no problem for us. We can handle that."
That was just before the March 2004 general election. But the tens of millions in election funds were not sent to Malaysia. Instead, it was channelled to Hong Kong. And the March 2004 general election came before the money could be diverted from Hong Kong to Malaysia. And we never heard of the money again. Soon after that Ezam and his gang, which included Anuar Shaari, left the opposition and joined Umno. Some left just before the 2004 general election.
I found out later from a very senior party leader that the money came from George Soros (see more here: http://www.georgesoros.com/). The four in fact personally met Soros in his office. And I was even told who had arranged for the meeting and the subsequent funding.
On 2 September 2004, I met Pawanchik Merican, one of Anwar's lawyers, in the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya. "Do you know that Ezam and Anuar Shaari have been collecting money in the name of the Free Anwar Campaign?" Pawanchik asked me.
"Yes, I know," I replied.
"Did they give you anything?" Pawanchik asked me.
"No, not a sen," I replied.
"I thought so," said Pawanchik. "I was told they are using your name to collect millions and that they did not give you anything. Why don't you close down the Free Anwar Campaign? If not these people will use it to collect money."
My wife who was there agreed with Pawanchik. "That's what I keep telling him but he is so stubborn," added my wife.
"I will never abandon Anwar halfway," I told Pawanchik. "Once Anwar is free then I will close down the Free Anwar Campaign."
"What if he is not freed? What if he spends 15 years in jail? Do you want to continue running the Free Anwar Campaign for another nine years without being paid any salary and allow them to use it to raise money?"
"I suppose so," I responded. "But Anwar will be freed today. So today I can close down the Free Anwar Campaign."
"None of the lawyers think so," said Pawanchik. I just shrugged my shoulders. Two hours later Anwar was freed by the Federal Court and I went home to make my last posting, 'Alhamdulillah, Anwar is now free', and closed down the Free Anwar Campaign.
Yes, that is the story of Ezam Mohd Nor and Anuar Shaari. Of course, I know the identity of the other two who also made that trip to the US, plus the 'fifth man', the man I phoned. I also know the name of the senior party leader who told me that the tens of millions came from Soros. And, invariably, I also know the name of my US contact who set the whole thing up. But as long as they keep their peace with me then I shall keep their secret safe. However, the minute they cross me, then their names will be revealed.
The master network of Mahathir is large! It spreads across the country. Their network has detected this movement from Anwar!
The criminals at work!
A clear picture of the crimes of these two evils are described here in the chronology of dates beginning 11th. May 2008.
11th. May 2008 – Najib met Mahathir (It is here the drama began, started by Mahathir in calling Najib a coward in April. The big evil engineered the small evil Najib to its front door. Needless to say the true drama that is going to be unfolded for the next few months began here, only to be polished later!) related article a repeat of the gut-wrenching melodrama and tragi-comedy who pushed it in Rosma? Mumtaj's girl Khairil Asshole (Pegawai Khas Dato' Seri Najib)
The period between 12th May and 28th. June 2008, where all the make-up men, artists and props were designed to perfection to stage this truly Malaysian Mahathir-Najib drama! The drama needed to be staged fast to deprive Anwar from entering Parliament. On 19th. May, as per their master plan Mahathir left UMNO, together with Sanusi, etc. This created much interest amongst Malaysians and the international community, distracting every one from the actual complex drama that is being staged by Najib.

The Malaysian Insider - MCA blames Perkasa for loss of Chinese support
The Malaysian Insider - Chinese abandoned MCA before Perkasa was born, says Ibrahim
Actually both are right …
… unless you consider Perkasa as an extension of UMNO, a subsidiary where the usual waving of the Chinese blood dripping keris, issuing of tebuan warnings and brandishing the May 13 red book have been devolved to this so called NGO …
… then Chua Soi Lek would be correct.
Ibrahim Ali pointed out that Perkasa or no Perkasa, MCA has consistently failed to win in Chinese-dominated areas in the urban constituencies such as Kepong or Bukit Bintang so WTF!
... though of course UMNO with its waving of the Chinese blood dripping keris, issuing of tebuan warnings and brandishing the May 13 red book have was always around ... to f* up and undermine MCA.
Now, a challenge Ibrahim Ali has tossed to Chua Soi Lek, as reported by The Malaysian Insider: Ibrahim said: "If they keep accusing Perkasa, MCA will have a dark future because in the next election the Malays will not vote for MCA candidates."
Well Chua Soi Lek, what do you have to say to his threat?

Tanyalah ustaz? Tanyalah mufti2? Tanyalah Ulamak2 (bukan yg makan gaji punya ulamak lah) .... kalau gitu mufti2 agak berat mulut gak nak jawab .... terpaksa kelentong aje ler! cari helah dan excuse aje ler!
Jadi pihak berauthority close one eye aje lar ...... puak2 mufti ka..... juga ulamak2 yg katanya ulamak tu pun buat tak tau aje .... buat tak nampak aje ..... berani tegur? berani sound? Diaorang berani berucap berapi2 kpd yg bawah2 saja ......
Dia tak pikiaq ka yg arak yg depa (artis2 dulu) dok teguk kalau kaki tunggang camna sekalipun .... dia orang tak lah terbawa2 sampai semasa menjalankan pertunjukkan (show) - beraksi di pentas ...... dulu depa tak sebut 'consert' seperti juga 'drama pentas' depa tak guna pakai istilah seperti la la ni ..... 'teater' ....... ada kelas konoooon ..... KELAS APA? kelas bawah ajeler ..... itu ajelah ..... atau Third Class lah yg sebenarnya ..... (kan kita pun terkelas dlm Third World country punya kelas apa?)
Bezanya, puak2 artis2 yg gian penageh dadah ni bergantung sepenuhnya kpd najis dadah untuk merangsangkan persembahan mereka. Tanpa sedut dadah .... persembahan depa tak menjadi ..... tak syahdu ... tak liuk lentok ... tak jiwang2 ... (itu alasan saja .... yg sebetoi2nya jenis tu jenis ada darah gemuruh - bergementar seluruh tubuh ...... itu satu cara untuk mengatasinya .... juga yg jenis 'stage-fright' depa jadi cuak .... takut ... kecut .... malu ..... naik cempera ... naik gelabah ..... gugup... gagap ..... kaku .... kelu .... terkedu-kedu bila berdepan dgn khalayak ramai .... memang pemalu orangnya .... ubatnya pekena dadah aje ler ..... supaya dapat 'get high' ... BARU REALLLL ...... hilang segala malu jenalu lain2nya ..... jadi depa mesti pekena dadah punya ..... tak percaya tanyalah Jamal ka, Hatan ka, Saleem ka, atau sifu depa atau artis2 yg selalu appear dlm pertunjukan 'live' mereka dgn masing2 pasang spec-hitam (cermin-gelap) untuk menyembunyikan biji2 mata depa yg dah kena kesan effect dadah ..... semua orang tau .... semua orang perasan punya .... toksah dok selindung laaaaaa ....... special effect keatas biji2 mata puak2 penageh tegar dadah ni ada bermacam2 happening .... ada yg mata jadi kuyu, ada yg biji mata jadi rudoi, ada yg biji mata jadi merah (mcm hantu raya), ada yg jenis sepet menguncup .... maka sebab tu lah depa pakat pasang cermin pelindung .... iaitu cermin-gelap la....... (spec hitam)
Semua tu mesti 'get high' dulu baru boleh perform.
Najis dadah tu ubat perangsang lah nak katakan.
Tapi, bolehkah artis2 taik2 arak yg tengah 'high' .... atau 'setengah mabuk' naik kepentas buat pertunjukan?
Tidak pernah berlaku .... kalau berlaku .... cari nahaslah jawabnya .... pasti punya mesti kena there and then .... mesti kena on-the-spot punya laaaa ..... artis kemana? penganjur kemana?
Mereka hanya membuat penampilan depan khalayak penonton (peminat2) hanya semasa mereka dlm keadaan 'sober' sahaja la. "Steady la ....." kata Ahmad Daud..... nasehat tu .... kadang2 dia kasi nasehat sama budak2 artis rock ..... "steady la rock ...." secara berseloroh ..... itu kira artis rock tu mula nampak ada skit 'berdengung' lah tu. Itulah bezanya antara kaki arak dgn kaki sedut ganja & najis dadah (termasuk suntikan cecair & serbuk2 syabu dllnya lah).
Taik arak ada class punya berbanding dgn taik najis dadah (taik dadah where got class?)
Namun media2 hiburan terpaksa ikut rentak depa punya ... malah kalangan orang dalam sendiri pun ramai yg terlibat dgn amalan najis dadah secara sembunyi2. Sebab itu lah najis dadah walaupun haram tetapi maseh available (berleluasa ..... di pasaran tertutup .... bukan pasaran terbuka).
Artis2 yg tertangkap kerna terlibat dgn kes2 dadah banyak yg terlepas kerna didapati .... tidak bersalah .... kerana tak cukup bukti la .... tiada bukti kukuh la .... tiada kes la ..... no further action la ..... case close ..... kes dianggap selesai la..... macam2 helah dan alasan.
Kalau kena pun hukuman tak lah seteruk mana .... di ringankan hukuman la ..... dipendekkan tempoh dlm tahanan la ..... habis teruk mcm lah artis yg sudah mencapai ijazah 'master' yg kerap keluar-masuk 'unidadahsiti pusat serenti' sampai jadi mcm bangkai bernyawa lagi .... muka nampak mcm tengkorak hidup semasa dia beraksi dipentas sejurus suatu ketika dulu. Itupun pihak tv (RTM) maseh sanggup menonjolkan personaliti yg nampak sangat 'haggard' dek kena pukulan najis dadah. Punya la nak tunjuk juga that "the show must go on........"
... Yang pincang cam tu pun gagah nak tunjuk jugak? Just because "the show must go on"?

I asked a friend if she'd seen Tamil Padam and she said, "ya; for a Tamil movie, it was something interesting."
I said, "What? Tamil movie?!" I'm not talking about the movie, lah! I'm talking about the recent Tamil padam that unfolded in Hulu Selangor!
Like her, you're also probably thinking what's this Tamil padam in Hulu Selangor, ya? Call it déjà vu if you like. Maybe even 'back to the future'? Whatever your preference, the BN win in Hulu Selangor does of course give us much to mull over and there're several meaningful subtexts and lessons that could be drawn from the by-election. As far as "the Indian scenario" is concerned, to put it simply, it's the same old mellow-dramatic drama of the Indians shooting themselves in more critical places than just the foot. BN wins and a substantial Indian vote supports the Indian (MIC) candidate.
Of course we know about Hindraf, which having had its quid-pro-quo proposition rejected by Pakatan Rakyat in the days leading up to April 25th, turned a cold shoulder toward Zaid's campaign. I suppose Hindraf must have thought it was dealing with UMNO when it tried to squeeze PR for some concessions before agreeing to any formal support for Zaid. Well, I'm sure many in the Hindraf inner circle will be saying to PR: 'Ah, see, we told you so? You can't win without us – and serves you right!"
Well, if that's the case, go right ahead Hindraf, and deal with the devil. What this would suggest, of course, is Hindraf would rather have UMNO, and all the baggage of corruption, abuse, restrictions on democratic freedoms and such, gain political mileage just so it can spite PR. Put whatever spin it may want on the situation; ultimately, Hindraf has been directly complicit in enabling UMNO – the very entity which arrested its leaders and punished them without due process of the law. Hindraf has been complicit in abetting the very entity that has been the cause and culprit in the exploitation of the same marginalised Indians for half a century, which Hindraf claims to be fighting for.
Because of some prescriptive disagreement, Hindraf is apparently willing to sit out and see its longstanding oppressor gain even more power, rather than wholeheartedly support PR, which espouses the vision of uplifting all who have been exploited by UMNO. Hindraf is willing to enable UMNO rather than support that movement which seeks to rid the country of political corruption and nepotism.
And what is the message that its strategy has sent to Indian voters? Go ahead and, like us, deal with the devil. Heck, in this case, Hindraf might as well go ahead and move into the MIC premises and collaborate with Samy Vellu! What's the difference? Talk about shooting yourself, this is a serious, if not fatal, self-inflicted wound by Hindraf.
Yes, despite what many may think, this is not as critical a setback for PR as it actually is for the Indians. You've essentially affirmed continued submission to all that UMNO stands for, you have tacitly agreed to submission to the ideology of the likes of Ibrahim Ali, and the racist dogma of Ketuanan Melayu. That's what your stubbornness has helped affirmed.
Really makes sense, right?
So for what it's worth, I'm done with putting up with sob stories from Hindraf. For me, Hindraf has lost its moral high ground.
Truly like a classic Tamil movie.
The abok farmers were arrested charged for stealing fresh fruits bunch(FFB), on their NCRland, the trial postponed to July 05, they were released on police bail, the question is the oilpalm tree or the NCRland…

Sekian……………………………………Aspan Alias (babah)

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — Independent MP Zulkifli Noordin has admitted to divulging "shocking" information during nightly chats with Datuk Seri Najib Razak in the prime minister's hotel room during their recent trip to Washington.
However, he pleaded with the media not to turn into an issue his "chats" with the PM. Another former PKR leader who had recently quit the party — Datuk Seri Zahrain Hashim — was also present.
"It was not like we had a formal meeting to discuss these things, it was just through casual conversations," he told The Malaysian Insider today.
The Kulim – Bandar Baharu MP who was recently sacked from PKR, confirmed that he had met privately with Najib during their trip to Washington last week for the US-Malaysia caucus.
Zulkifli and Zahrain had both accompanied Najib to Washington for the caucus and were said to have imparted incriminating inside information about their former party and its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with the Prime Minister during their trip.
In his speech to the Barisan Nasional election machinery two days before the Hulu Selangor by-election on Sunday, Najib had claimed that he now knew "everything" about Anwar.
"PKR is now in a state of discord because we know all their secrets. In my visit to Washington, two Independent MPs followed me — Zahrain and Zul.
"At night, after an official function, he came to my room and exposed all the stories. Now, I know the entire story.
"Everything, right down to the underwear too I know. I know everything now," Najib had said.
Zulkifli admitted that both he and Zahrain had held long discussions with the Prime Minister and said that some of the information they had told the latter had "shocked" him.
"I was actually just explaining what I had spoken about in my speech to Parliament. And yes, he was shocked when we spoke to him. Especially about the things that Zahrain told him. It was a shocker to him because he was not aware of it before," he said.
The maverick politician had dropped a bombshell in Parliament recently when he claimed that he had been ordered to link Najib and his wife to the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaaribuu.
He however quickly moved to downplay his discussion with Najib and insisted it was merely a casual exchange of information.
"We discussed so many things. We were there for over a week. After the functions, which usually finish at around 9.30pm at night, we would go to his room and speak with him about the day's affairs.
"Sometimes, these things cropped up in the discussion and we would talk about it," said Zulkifli.
Zulkifli however refused to reveal the specific details of his discussions with the Prime Minister and said that it was between him and Najib.
"Whether or not the information we released was damaging to the PKR, or whether or not I told Najib everything about Anwar and PKR… all that is between me and the Prime Minister," he said.
Zulkifli also urged The Malaysian Insider and the media in general not to place too much emphasis on the said discussions and blow things out of proportion.
"Please do not start spreading word that I am joining the BN or that I am now cooperating with the BN. It is just casual conversation. We were staying in the same hotel — Regis Hotel — so we just meet up to discuss things.
"Sometimes it is between me and Najib and sometimes it is between Zahrain and Najib or sometimes it is all three of us," he said.
He insisted that his conversations with Najib did not mean that he was sacrificing his impartiality as an independent lawmaker.
"I am still independent. I will remain as an independent," he said.

WHAT DID HE MEAN BY 'TENTATIVE CHARGE BUT ALL IS NOT LOST'?
On 11th October, Malaysia Today carried a post entitled 'Abuse of power by the Deputy Prime Minister' that laid out a series of sms'es alleged to have passed between Najib and senior lawyer Shafee Abdullah in relation to Razak Baginda's arrest and remand in the days before Baginda was charged.
Najib was publicly asked to comment about these sms'es and he never denied the authenticity of the same.
Now, there's one other exchange of sms'es, this time allegedly between Razak Baginda and Najib. I do not recall Najib himself having ever addressed or denied or admitted the correctness or otherwise of these sms'es directly, as he did with the series of sms'es referred to in the MT posting.
I am referring to the 2 sms'es mentioned at paragraphs 51 and 52 of the first statutory declaration of private investigator Balasubramaniam. Let me reproduce below both paragraphs 51 and 52 of that first statutory declaration.
51. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30am. Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.
52. Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30am, Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Najib Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows: " I am seeing IGP at 11am today … matter will be solved … be cool".
Allah Will Take Care of You
On the road but you have no destination.
No words said but you can feel the sensation.
This world seems unreal so you hide in your imagination,
We are only characters playing a role as God's creation.
Every downfall is only a path to spiritual elevation,
Get up brilliant noble people of Islam's nation.
Forget everything and enter the world beyond sound or hue.
Feel the heart's rhythm that Allah will take care of you.
You don't know it but it is a Divine Miracle.
Only if you breathe it in can you reach your pinnacle.
Embrace it slowly and do not listen to the cynical.
We are so determined to make ourselves the obstacle,
There is someone watching us outside of our minds' cubicle.
Say it loud and clear and break the chains from the physical.
Use not your eyes but your heart to look past the view.
Fall into the fact that Allah will take care of you.
Oh you who has been blessed with God's grace,
Step forward and let His Nur brighten your face.
Trust that every single atom made in the entire space,
Only does God's Will at the Divine pace.
Don't think your will can compete against God's in a race.
Be content that where you are is only a temporary place.
The words of this message can only be so many or so few,
Trust in Allah that Allah will take care of you.
The universe comes to greet us every night.
Suns are little specks compared to your heart's light.
Speak your soul and trust in Allah tonight.
There is no other way to say this forthright.
The only person who can help you is you in this insight.
Say it everyday and make every moment make it anew.
Submit all your thoughts to remember that Allah will take care of you.
Oh (my name), can't your blind eyes see?
It was never about your will, but your destiny.
Say it loud and clear: God will watch over me
Don't ever forget it and let it shadow you for eternity.
Let this beautiful fact pull you in God's gravity.
Fall into God's embrace and don't think you never knew.
Let it echo in every soul that Allah will take care of you.
Did we win allegiance, respect and goodwill by leveraging on these principles? UMNO people hardly talked about these nowadays. They are focused on wining by the mechanical way- spending their way though.
This is disturbing to me and all right thinking UMNO members. I hope the UMNO president, vice presidents, read this. If UMNO's victory is now predicated and dependent on the amount of largesse and money it can dish out to voters, then there is something terribly wrong with UMNO.
Instead of winning the hearts and minds of the people on its principles of struggles, mission and purpose for which UMNO was formed in 1946, it is now actually just a company doing business. Its relevance and legitimacy being is now measured by how much it captures market segment by spending to secure it. It's no longer appealing to the rakyat on the values that it preaches. The way UMNO wins an election is how it conducts its party elections.
Winners just buy their way through.
The problem with Umno today
"They see provocation, they see enemies everywhere."
What his detractors say about him
"They say, 'Ungrateful Malay, you benefited from the system and now you criticise it' — you know, that sort of stuff. Some say I should not be a Malay. I don't know how that is possible… But it doesn't really hurt me that much."
Being chummy with the opposition
"My problem is that I always don't view politicians from the other side as enemies. They're all my friends. (DAP veteran Lim) Kit Siang is my old friend and Anwar (Ibrahim) and everybody."
Attending the opposition events that got him sacked
"I was merely being naive or being silly but they were my friends, what's wrong with that?"
Being kept in the dark over the sudden detention of three civilians under the Internal Security Act in September
"I read about it in the papers. I thought that, as a minister, especially when you describe me as a Minister for Law, you know, it's a bit embarrassing when I don't know anything about it."
How much Malaysia has lost out to Singapore
"I was in school in Johor Baru in 1967, and I'd go to Singapore on a bus over the weekend. Singapore was then a shanty town, of no significance. But today, it is the pride of the world. If they can do it, why can't we?"
Why he thinks differently from most in Umno
"I did not join Umno when I was young, so I was not subject to much conditioning."
Talk that prime minister-in-waiting Najib lacks fire in the belly
"Yes, exactly. He has never shown himself capable of enunciating something. He can sound good, but all prime ministers sound good at the beginning."
Those who want a Malaysia for only Malays
"How do you benefit? In the first place, how do you let the Chinese go? Where do they go? Where do you send the Indians? Where do you send disgruntled Malays like me?"
"I worry that we will become a Fiji or Zimbabwe, that we will be dominated by a certain group using the machinery of government to keep control."
Who doesn't want to win? Victory is all the more important, more so, when the PM regarded this by election as a referendum to his leadership and his vision of creating 1 Malaysia. It is also a verdict on his resolve in implementing a new economic model and transformation of government and all that. UMNO/BN simply had to win this election at all costs.
All of us are familiar with the sports shoes- Nike (pronounced Naiki). The shoes are produced by Nike, the company founded by Phillip Knight and his coach Billy Bowerman. The trademark of the company with the swoosh logo, is Just Do It.
Just Do It represents the core spirit of Nike. It explains why the company isn't long on nebulous ideals and catchphrases- all they want is to get on with it, plough along and correct any mistakes while on the way.
UMNO, the present one, the one reformed by Dr Mahathir with his membership being at number 1
, also has its trademark similar to Nike. It is Just Du-It. Just duit. This can't be the old UMNO. This UMNO doesn't list Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak, Jaafar Albar, Dato Harun Idris, Tun Dr Islmail as members. So, it can't be. This UMNO is Dr. Mahathir's UMNO
Now perhaps we can think about the reasons behind proposed GST, proposed 3 time increase in traffic fines, annual issuance of PNB unit trusts unheard of during the Mahathir years – we may look at the merits of whether this PNB unit trusts are really unsecured public borrowings

Congratulations to the winner of the Hulu Selangor Buy Election as some call it.
The residents of Hulu Selangor got this durian runtuh, or I normally call it dead man ang pow to the tune of RM1.68 million. I think the numbers do not end there
RM1.68 billion gifts for Hulu Selangor
A tabulation by a Chinese newspaper counted the following:
building of a link to Plus highway (perhaps more toll can be collected but anyone did a traffic volume study to justify the cost of construction?)
construction of 250 low cost houses (I hope there is a study of demand to supply ratio)
total of RM5 million for 100 Felda pioneer who waited for 15 years with undisclosed amount for their children's technical training education support (note the excellent timing and ambiguity of the promised sum)
RM6 million allocation of special funds of agriculture sector for Hulu Selangor (of which benefit from this investment will never be accounted for, I believe, remember the 50 MPs who went to Taiwan to study agriculture stuff and until now we have no idea what benefit our money has generated sending 50 instead of a few specialist to Taiwan, land of Pinang Xi Si .? )
RM350,000 allocation for equipment upgrade in general hospital (funny the equipment upgrade is after a death and not before) and RM870,000 for 20 basic amenities upgrade work in 13 new villages ( the villages can named the bridges and drains as Kamal, Alan or Nathan if they want to)
a few hundreds of thousands to a few SRJK(C ) and some tens of thousands for other Chinese societies (Ibrahim Ali is strangely silent about this one)
and finally after years of appeal (I believe part of much maligned suqiu's plead as well), students from Chinese private high schools can apply for PTPTN loans (note: can apply only) and a 68 year old granny got her citizenship after 12 years wait (another perfectly timed execution)
As a tax payer I wonder:
1) Did all this ad-hoc allocation go through the proper cost-benefits analysis and appraisal before being approved?
2) Is it within 2010 budget or would result in an overrun? (Hard to envisage federal budgetary processes would consider how many ADUN or MP deaths per annum)
3) If there is an overrun, how would the shortfall be made good? Now perhaps we can think about the reasons behind proposed GST, proposed 3 time increase in traffic fines, annual issuance of PNB unit trusts unheard of during the Mahathir years – we may look at the merits of whether this PNB unit trusts are really unsecured public borrowings
4) Talking about the concept of opportunity costs – has any legitimate, necessary and approved allocation being diverted from elsewhere to fund this ad hoc splurge?
Any hospital, schools, government office etc that was in the queue for funding suddenly found that the planned and expected funds did not arrive? Any contractor due for payment for his/her contract work suddenly being denied the expected cashflow to pay his subcontractors who subsequently can't pay his/her workers and suppliers?
5) The proposed UiTM in Hulu Selangor…is it within the planned expansion of a high education development master plan or just an ad hoc addition which would result in disruption and wastage of funds?

It's the conduct of UMNO in winning elections. We are fast being normalized in seeing the PM, leader of this country and leader of UMNO gong around dishing out cash here and there; here RM3 million for a Chinese School, there a few million for some outstanding promises. The only way UMNO seems to be able to win is by using money. In this Hulu Selangor election, it spent more than RM100 million. Expressway, universities, roads, hard cash, development projects etc. It was a feeding frenzy.
We have the UMNO president, bowl in hand, appealing to FELDA settlers to give him a chance. Here- take this money, give me a chance and there will be plenty of this where it came from. What has it done to UMNO?
Here we have our party president with money in hand persuading commercially opportunistic Chinese to vote for BN. There we have our president promising the world to Malaysian Indians. Everywhere, we have our president appealing help from Malaysian Malays who are expected to have a natural inclination to UMNO but who now have to be induced by cash.
It has reduced UMNO to a mechanical being devoid of its soul.
Where is UMNO's soul? May I remind UMNO members, that the soul of UMNO is expressed clearly in Fasal 3 of UMNO's Constitution:
Mempertahankan kemerdekaan dan kedaulatan negara.
Mendukung dan mempertahankan Perlembagaan Negara, Perlembagaan Negeri-negeri dan Raja Berperlembagaan.
Menegak, mempertahan dan mengembangkan Islam, agama rasmi negara serta menghormati prinsip kebangsaan beragama.
"We killed the Messiah, 'Isa son of Maryam, Messenger of Allah." They did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to seem so to them. Those who argue about him are in doubt about it. They have no real knowledge of it, just conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him. Allah raised him up to Himself. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. First things firsts. I am not a Hulu Selangor voter. So that settles that I am merely an observer from the outside. BN got the much needed boost and PKR had to swallow a bitter pill. The speculators and me included keep asking what went wrong for PKR? I could not agree more with Mahaguru. Perhaps this time around BN beat PKR by candidate to candidate.
I don't think that will change much in terms on how BN intends to rule. But the outlook may indicate some form of change for the better and perhaps Najib took the task to choosing a candidate very seriously. Now it just remains the fact of how many more like Kamalanathan does BN have in their roster. Because they need every single one they have to win back 2/3 majority come next General Elections.
For now it is time for those in Hulu Selangor to cash in on the campaign promises. BN better pay-up or their Kamalanathan might just wet his pants and weep silently.
