According to Anwar Ibrahim's birthday: August 10, 1947, he is born under the year of Pig which is also known as Boar, or Hog.
Personally, I prefer the term 'Hog', and there is reason why I added the word "Glamorous" to decorate his "Hog" ... Check it out.
1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007
Pigs are models of sincerity, purity, tolerance, and honor. When you first meet them, Pigs seem too good to be true. They are careful and caring, obliging and chivalrous. Put your trust in him, he won't let you down and he will never try to. The Pigs simply want to do everything right.
Pigs are the people everyone admires most. Make a list of the Pigs in your life: aren't they the nicest, most loving and scrupulously caring people around?
Pigs are born to give, to yield and to serve. Frankly speaking, most people take advantage of this Pig nature. Also, not only are Pigs easy to fool, they like it that way too. No matter how old they get, Pig people still only see and believe that all men/women are basically good. Pig people constantly sacrifice their own happiness and comfort for the sake of somebody else.
The Pig is a splendid companion. If you have a lifetime Pig friend, don't think that your worries are over. Pigs are loyal, faithful and giving - only as long as they approve of you. In order to keep your lifetime Piggy friend, remember, never try to force your opinions on a Pig - A Pig rarely asks for help and cannot graciously accept it.
The Pig doesn't say much - but when he does decide to speak, suddenly, nothing can stop him until he runs out of subjects. Like the Monkey, the Pig is intellectual - a character with a great thirst for knowledge.
Some people claim that Pigs are snobbish. Manners, breeding and good taste are of enormous importance to them. In fact, pigs are aesthetic. Pigs are born with an excellent nose for style in everything. Food is another of Piggy's little sins. Pigs adore food, and after-dinner chocolates. The Pig often over-eats, but he eats with good taste.
In relationship, Pig people are sensitive, sweet but naive, and caring. They are romantic and certainly are the marriage-type. But on the other hand, Pigs are also possessive, jealous and exclusive.
When encountering the Pig, we sense his or her quiet sincerity and purity. The Pig is so honest that he feels guilty for the slightest error, and he is more indulgent and forgiving of others than he is of himself. He is without artifice or pretense, and dislikes forcing himself on others or being the center of attention. Chivalrous, gallant, obliging, scrupulous to a fault, the Pig is naive, innocent, confident, and defenseless. He allows himself to be duped easily, accepts his own faults calmly, and those of others with tolerant understanding. He is incredibly sincere, almost to the point of doing himself harm, and always disarmed by the bad faith of others. He lies rarely, and then only to defend himself. Powerless against hypocrisy, he will often crucify himself in an attempt to justify his actions. He is an absolutely straight dealer and it's very rarely that he will accept a compromise. Ironically, though the Pig believes without question whatever anyone tells him, he is always finding it necessary to produce proof of what he himself asserts!
People born in the Year of the Pig have a taste for la dolce vita. Possessing a strong sense of luxury, they can be extravagant and take great pleasure in pampering themselves and their loved ones; they delight in the stimulation of the senses. However, when they need to work they will get right to it. At these times a half-hearted attitude just won't do; where they're concerned, it's all or nothing.
The Pig is a splendid companion, so much fun, and game for a risque evening. He doesn't say much, but when he does decide to speak, suddenly the barriers are down and nothing can stop him until the subject's exhausted.
Like the Monkey, the Pig is intellectual, a character with a great thirst for knowledge. He reads a lot, but reads anything that happens to be around. Although he appears to be well read, the Pig's knowledge is only superficial. Referring to this, a Japanese proverb says that the Pig is "wide of face but narrow in the back."
The Pig is sensitive, caring, and indulgent. Not only intelligent and cultured, the Pig also has a streak of bawdiness and earthiness. Their various indulgences can verge on gluttony. Unlike the conniving Machiavellian pigs of Animal Farm, Chinese Pigs tend to be helpless and insecure. During fat spells they suddenly lose all and are unable to defend themselves, much less attack others. Pigs in general are lucky but lazy.
Pigs can be very practical, logical and down to earth. They may at times be considered somewhat cool and reserved because, blessed as they are with composure and self-control, they don't usually allow emotion to cloud the issue. They are cheerful and love company and social life. They find it very easy to make friends and also seem to hang on to them for life. For them the Pig is capable of the greatest sacrifices. He is extremely considerate of the chosen few who do merit his affection. The women of this sign like nothing better than to make presents for people and organize parties; they are marvelous hostesses.
Whatever his ambitions may be, whatever the tasks and goals he has set himself, the Pig will do his duty with all the strength he is capable of, and that same strength can be an inner force to be reckoned with, a force that nothing can oppose. Once a Pig has come to a decision, nothing can stop him from carrying it out. But before he arrives at it, he spends ages weighing the pros and cons, which sometimes gives the impression that he is indecisive. Nothing could be further from the truth, but to make sure he is avoiding any possible complications, he will sometimes ponder for so long that he destroys his own case.
Untiring workers, Pigs will succeed in their careers, especially if they are their own boss. Because they like to accumulate ancient objects and fine pictures, they might become art dealers, specializing in antiquities. Their aim is to live in relative affluence, both for themselves and their families, and to enjoy the pleasures of life. Materially, the Pig will always have all the necessities of life, regardless of his chosen career. Work and money in sufficient quantities seems to gravitate his way without his having to make any particular effort. People will help him all his life, and thanks to this help he will be able, if he wishes, to reach the highest heights in the financial world.
Popular superstition in the East says that people help him thus just to fatten him up so he will make a better meal over the New Year. Because of this, the Pig may be overwary and trust nobody. If the Pig's birthdate is a long time before the traditional feasts, he will escape a lot of the disappointments in store for him. However, the closer it is to the Asiatic New Year, the more he will be betrayed, ridiculed, duped, and perhaps in the long run, eaten!
Though generally tolerant and fairly placid people, when absolutely backed into a corner, Pigs can turn vicious. When they find that their friendship and good nature have been seriously abused, they will give no quarter and that friendship will somewhat unceremoniously be cut short. Perhaps they can be accused of exhibitionism, of being flirtatious and even licentious at times, but there is no doubt that Pigs in general are very good sorts -- honest, decent, generous, supportive, loyal to their friends, and thoroughly trustworthy.
The first phase of the Pig's life will be relatively calm. During the second, every conceivable conjugal problem will be visited upon him. But whatever his troubles, the Pig, discreet and shy, will never ask anybody else for help; he'll try to get out of the mess by himself. His reticence in this respect may do him harm, for nobody will even suspect the torment he's going through.
The Passionate Pig
Above all else, Pigs are sensual, self-indulgent creatures. They adore anything that smacks of physical pleasure, whether it is gorging themselves with sweetmeats or idling a whole day away with their newfound heart throbs between their satin sheets. Passionate by nature, some younger Pigs could tend towards promiscuity while some of the older ones could well become bawdy and lascivious. Unfortunately for them, love seems somehow to befog many a Pig; when deeply smitten, their emotions become rather transparent and they can become putty in the hands of unscrupulous types who can induce them to behave quite out of character. They may often be deceived, often disappointed, often made a fool of ... and often loved. The female Pig makes a very good mother.
Pigs are loving and loyal to their mates, and caring and considerate towards those they love. In any close, intimate relationship it is friendship that the Pig will value most. Settled with the right partner, these generous, warm hearted individuals will enjoy happy and contented lives, developing their talents within that supportive framework and devoting themselves completely to their family and their loved ones. With their simplicity of soul and their sensual appreciation of nature, the Pig always seeks the authentic and the true in personal relationships.
The Pig would be well advised to share his or her life with those born under the sign of the Rabbit -- that's the surest way of avoiding arguments. They must keep out of the clutches of the Snake, who will make a complete slave out of the Pig in no time, enmeshing the Pig in his coils to the extent that the poor Pig loses all power of movement. The Ram will take advantage of him. Like the Rabbit, the Tiger and Rat are excellent partners for the Pig, but the Monkey is not honest enough for his taste.
December is the month of the Pig. The time of the Pig is from 9:00 p.m. to 10:59 p.m.; their direction of orientation is north-northwest. The Pig's color is dark blue.
(1 - least compatible, 100 - most compatible)
Rat 88 - These two make marvelous mates
Ox 69 - Why not, it worth a try.
Tiger 77 - They are very different, but this will work.
Rabbit 91 - Very compatible. Everything will be good.
Dragon 94 - Most Dragon/Pig marriages last forever.
Snake 45 - The Pig can never please the Snake!
Horse 75 - This relationship worth a try.
Sheep 98 - One of the happiest possible combinations.
Monkey 81 - This could work. They admire each other.
Rooster 72 - The Pig is patient, this could work.
Dog 84 - They share their thoughts and feeling.
Pig 92 - An excellent match.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Dear Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat. How are you? Hope you are in the best of Iman, Health and Wealth. Hehehehe..the last one is a sincere wish, for you. :)
A recent acquaintance of mine refers to it as 'Vitamin M'. :P
Money of course. Both to fulfill the objectives of our worldly needs here and to help prepare us for the hereafter. But that is not what I wish to share with you tonight.
What I wish to share with you tonight is something that took place yesterday while I was standing in prayer next to a fellow Indian Muslim.
This brother was murmuring loudly following every verse that the Imam was reciting whilst in prayer.
At first I thought it must be my hearing! I was starting to hear a sort of an echo following the recitations of the Imam.
When the Imam was reciting the Suratul Fatihah, I was hearing from my right hand side, verse for verse recitations coming from the Muslim next to me!
I tried to focus by closing my eyes and try to hear the recitations from the Imam but this brother's echoing each verse the Imam recited sort of got to me and I understood that this brother was really repeating the verses that the Imam was reciting vocally albeit in a very loud murmur!!!
It didn't stop with just the Suratul Fatihah.
When the Imam recited the following surah's after the Fatihah, the man next to me did a splendid echoing of the Imam's recitations.
When the prayer and do'a was over, I grabbed his hand in salam and enquired whether he spoke Tamil?
He enthusiastically replied yes and my prayers were answered. :)
I had so wished that he was a Tamil Muslim so that I could advise him and he was. Alhamdulillah!
I introduced myself and asked his name. I then asked whether he would be willing to listen to some advice and he said that he would be happy to hear what I had to say?
I then explained to him that when we are in prayer as the Makmum @ following an Imam in a jamaah prayer, we are to observe the do's and don'ts of such a prayer.
When the Imam is reciting the Suratul Fatihah, as the Makmum we are to be silent and to listen to the recitations and comprehend its meanings.
He nodded in agreement and said that he was just following what a 'Hazrat' @ learned Indian Muslim man had told him that its alright to follow aloud when an Imam is reciting the Quranic verses during the jamaah prayer if one is not that well learned in one's Islamic knowledge!
I told him that its wrong what the 'Hazrat' had taught him for it goes against the Sunnah and what the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam has taught us!
It is due to such false teachings that many ignorant folks end up committing grievous wrongs in the course of the life as Muslims.
I reiterated to him that what that 'Hazrat' had taught him is wrong and that he is to stop murmuring along with the Imam from now on.
We are to be silent when the Imam is reciting the Suratul Fatihah, say 'Ameen' loudly with the other jamaah at the end of the Surah when the Imam says it and only then recite the Suratul Fatihah in our hearts.
Not to murmur loudly as to cause any disturbances to our brothers besides us during such congregational prayers!
He thanked me profusely for my advice and promised not to murmur again in the future along with the Imam! :)
I wished him well and then made my way to see my friends amongst the Imams and other committee members of the masjid.
There are many things which we need to correct amongst the ignorant members of our ummah. One major act of Khurafaat which I notice being practiced widely by them is the wearing of 'tangkal' or amulets.
There are many amongst the Indian Muslims from India and even many Malaysian Indian Muslims, local Malays or those from Southern Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Pakistan whom I have come across wearing such amulets, talismans and other objects that are thought to offer the ignorant wearers of such items of disbelief that can lead to them becoming those who commit Shirk al Akbar towards Allahu Ta'ala!
Whenever I come across such folks, I will advice them of their error and ask them to remove such objects of disbelief from their persons if they wish to remain as true Muslims or risk dying as Kaffirs with such objects of Shirk on them.
Some listen to my advice. Some promise to remove them later. Some are recalcitrant.
You can advice some folks who are willing to listen and learn from you. Yet there will always be those who choose to be deaf, dumb and blind to good nasihah.
Will they ever repent?
Wallahu Alam Bissawab!

Finally the TRUTH IS OUT - the reason for MP Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim to quit from PKR.
Read the below news :
(Malaysian Digest) - DAP secretary general, Lim Guan Eng, has characterised the action of the former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) state chairman Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim to quit the party as wanting to protect his personal and individual interests.
Lim, the Penang Chief Minister, said the cracks between him and the Bayan Baru Member of Parliament arose when Zahrain failed to get approval for a RM40 million tender for a Bukit Jambul Golf Resort project.
He said he did not approve the tender as the company which was strongly recommended by Zahrain was just set up two months before the tender was issued at the end of September 2008.
"I feel the reason for him to quit was failure to get the project. Am I a dictator if I approve a tender worth millions to a two-ringgit company?" Lim told reporters here today.
He said the company concerned was newly set up and led him to not have confidence in it to handle the project that was valued at more than RM40 million.
"I feel that Zahrain is angry as I did not approve the tender for the two-ringgit company and the reason for him to leave the party as saying I am a dictator," he said.
Besides that, Lim questioned Zahrain's action in relinquishing all posts in the party but not as chairman and as a member of the board of directors of Island Golf Properties Sdn Bhd and this reflected that Zahrain only protected his interests.
Yesterday, Zahrain announced his quitting of PKR out of frustration withb the party's struggle and loss of confidence in the party's advisor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He also declared himself as an independent member of parliament and said this was because of no confidence in the Penang state government led by Lim.
Now, you know the reason. It seems our elected representatives from Pakatan who were formerly from UMNO, a number of them are 'hungry' for projects to keep with their lifestyle. They have not real intention to serve the rakyat.
So BEWARE at the next polls. Only vote for a reliable and capable candidate.
The Opposition would need to screen potential candidates who are only prepared to serve should be selected.
Then we will never hear of 'frogs'.

The Chinese lunar year of the tiger spells trouble for Sabah's Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman who is under pressure from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to resign or be sacked.
By Kinabalu Sabah Times
Federal Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal is expected to replace Musa. He is Najib's blue-eye boy.
Reliable sources in Kuala Lumpur told Kinabalu Sabah Times that Najib had wanted to replace Musa soon after he became Prime Minister in April last year.
Musa was a staunch supporter of former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Badawi. He had worked with Khairy Jamaluddin, Abdullah's son-in-law in a campaign to discredit Najib in order to prevent him from succeeding Abdullah as Prime Minister.
The plot failed because Najib had overwhelming support from Umno members loyal to former premier Datuk Seri Dr Mahahtir Mohamad who had carried out a devastating campaign to get rid of Abdullah. Dr Mahathir made no secret that he wanted Najib to be the Prime Minister.
But the sources said Musa is a very shrewd politician. When he realised that Khairy and him were losing the campaign to Dr Mahathir, he quickly played a double game by getting his younger brother Datuk Seri Anifah Aman to criticise Abdullah in parliament and to refuse the appointment as the Federal Deputy Transport Minister. That pacified Najib a little and won a bit of time for Musa who knew that Najib would not let him off lightly.

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2010 is the Year of a Golden Tiger, which begins on February 14, 2010 and ends on February 2, 2011. The first day of the lunar New Year 2010 falls on the 14th day of February, which is Saint Valentine's Day, so it is a day the West celebrates as a lovers' day, a day of romance. To the Chinese, it is the start of the Golden Tiger Year. The Tiger is the third sign in the cycle of Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs. It is a sign of courage. This fearless and fiery fighter is revered by the ancient Chinese as the sign that wards off the three main disasters of a household: fire, thieves and ghosts. On New Year's day itself, it is beneficial to celebrate, to be happy, to have smiling faces, and to refrain from scowling, or quarreling.
The Tiger is one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet, and is feared and revered in equal measure. It features in many Asian cultures as a manifestation of courage, power, passion and royalty. In Feng Shui, it is one of the four celestial animals where it takes its place as the White Tiger. The other three celestial animals are the Green Dragon, Red Phoenix and Black Tortoise. The Tiger symbolizes the female Yin energy as opposed to the Yang male energy of the dragon. Ancient Chinese believe that the markings on the forehead of tigers resemble the Chinese character for "Wang", or King. In Imperial China, where the dragon is the insignia of the emperors, the tiger is the military emblem of the highest supreme commanders of the army symbolizing fearlessness and victory. The Tiger also represents earth, while the dragon represents Heaven. The powerful and stealth prowess of the Tiger inspire the martial art movements of many Kung-Fu masters.
MarGeeMar The Scribe and the Blog Team wishes everyone out there a Blessed and Prosperous New Year. Let us also remember Ng Kah Yee, Nurul Lyana and all the missing children in our prayers during this joyous festival
The Scribe also wishes that The Tiger will devour all those who are corrupt and who abuse their power. Let them be kicked out of power by the Rakyat (People) in the next General Election. It would be the time to 除舊佈新

The Barisan National (BN) is the most worthless political coalition of race based parties ever to have been in existence in the political spectrum of our nation. Najib and Muhyiddin of the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) have run out of creative ideas. They are not astute leaders and have no inclination or the capability to demonstrate to the general populace on their abilities of how they can improve the nation's current economic depression and thus have become a liability in the eyes of all right thinking people, as they cannot continue to govern us, but pretend they are still capable.
That is why Najib and Muhyiddin are not surprised, as reported by the Star of 13.02.2010 on Zahrain Hashim's(ZH) move to resign from Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and be an Independent Member of Parliament of the Bayan Baru constituency.
Then we have Hishammuddin an UMNO Vice President who as far as all right thinking people are aware is intellectually dishonest and is morally bankrupt as he has no adequate reserve of character and we know he is a charlatan. But now he has anointed himself to become a clairvoyant to predict the future of the PR in the Chinese Year of the Tiger.
The Star reports that Hishammuddin "believes more will be leaving PKR and Pakatan Rakyat as they are unhappy with the way the parties and coalition are being run."
The reason ZH has been unhappy is owing to the fact that the Chief Minister of Penang strictly adheres to the principles of "Competence, Accountability and Transparency."
Premised on this motto Lim Guan Eng (LGE) rejected a tender which was selected and submitted to the Penang Development Board (PDB). The PDB owns the Island Golf Properties Berhad (IGPB) and thus ZH is its chairman. The tender was called for managing the golf course which is valued at more than RM 40 million.
ZH incorporated a private limited company with a paid-up capital of RM 2, which is premised on UMNO's principles of cronyism and nepotism, awarded the tender to his company. LGE as the Chief Minister rejected the approval of the awarded tender and re-called a fresh bid of the tender.
This action of LGE angered ZH and ZH went to town with the allegation that LGE has relieved ZH on the chairmanship of IGPB where ZH has earlier called LGE to be a dictator, chauvinist and a communist-minded leader.
In the mean time some other mentally retarded members of parliament joined the band-wagon of ZH and started to issue press releases to gain cheap publicity. The main stream print media, who are known to be tigers with jelly teeth, published the news which is only fit for the dustbins of journalist views. The reports are totally devoid of the fundamental principles and conception of their roles and responsibilities of ethical news reporting.
The main stream print media faithfully targeted the PR and LGE and published statements made by the mentally retarded members of parliament such as Tan Tee Beng of Nibong Tebal of Penang, Zulkifli Noordin of Kulim Bandar Baru of Kedah and Wee Choo Keong of Wangsa Maju of Kuala Lumpur.
It is apparent that these mentally retarded elected representatives fail to realize the fact that the voting populace of today have an attitude of enlightenment on a wide spectrum of knowledge amongst other factors which affect their daily way of life and in particular, the political, educational, health and economic affairs of our nation.
Whilst we voted for change and in the process the PR in particular the PKR seems to have selected the worst sort of idiots as candidates and as we voted for the "party" these misfits and malevolent individuals have been elected into office. And only now are they showing that their attitudes are just like monkeys which do not know how to appreciate a bouquet of flowers.
These misfits are oblivious to the doctrine of fidelity. Neither do they understand the importance of living and enhancing the spirit of maintaining harmony as members of a political party. They are not able to comprehend as to how they are supposed to work within the framework of the party's constitution and the surrounding policies formulated by the leadership of the PR which is for the attainment of social order and democracy, which would eventually translate into more support being given by the people to the political struggle of the PR to lead this beautiful nation in the near future.
It is high time that Anwar realize that we require him to be more decisive in dealing with these misfits or mentally retarded elected representatives. These misfits must recognize that within the PR as much as diversities and differences are bound to exist but there must be recognition given to the leaders to lead within the space and regulatory authority of their leadership parlance of office.
If any elected representative is not able to demonstrate with empathy that he supports the ideas and activities but keeps on interfering with the formulated ideas and activities of the PR, then Anwar should say good riddance to such representatives without regret. As Rome was not built in a day, we the voting populace will develop our own constraining ways to censure these radicals at the ballot box in the future.
The time has come for the voting populace to put the PR leadership on notice that in the future the leadership should only appoint persons with outstanding professional qualities and those who have a high degree of morality to be nominated as representatives of the party to contest in elections.
Further all appointed positions in every governmental institutions which include the Government Linked Corporations, the Judiciary, the Police Force and the Institutions of higher learning should only be occupied by persons with outstanding professional qualifications and qualities and a high degree of morality without regard to race, colour, creed or religion as these are positions of authority and responsibilities, or else it will lead us down the path to destruction as what BN is currently doing.
The PR should also discard the superficial label of importance given to the National Language. It should be always mindful that only education would be able to free this nation of diverse people from the diabolically conceived and indoctrinated prejudices and current prevailing ignorance in the social fabric of our nation.
As the Turks say, "Speak out, and you are persecuted; hold your tongue, and your guts boil over."
Therefore, the PKR leaders should give recognition to the masses passion for justice in all sectors of our society. Anwar and his team of leaders should let any radical elected representative who has a zeal for greed to leave the party as the voting populace is now more focused on Competency, Accountability and Transparency in the management of the affairs if the government rather than believing in mere blind political rhetoric.
As we see it obedience is necessary for the proper conduct of human affairs. Thus, any body of politics in which there exist individuals that are not governed by a sovereign leader, and if such radical person is not held accountable to somebody than such party would eventually end up in the hands of a sick leader and we cannot let it happen to PKR.

Umno will be crucifying itself on this issue in Kelantan if the Federal Government continues to deny oil & gas royalty to the state. The same goes for Terengganu. This is a question of the law & what is right and wrong. Wrong place to play politics. Already, in Sabah & Sarawak there is a lot of dissatisfaction that the Federal Government, through Petronas, is only paying oil & gas royalty from a small of wells in the inner waters. These two states don't get oil & gas royalty from the great majority of their wells dotted in waters off the respective states. This is likely to be the mother of all issues in the next General Election. Just imagine the billions that the Federal Government/Petronas have been denying Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu & Kelantan over the years in oil and gas royalty? How is the Federal Government/Petronas going to make good on all the back payments due to the oil & gas rich states when it is virtually bankrupt? It's pointless going to court on the issue.
The Holy Bible, the word of God, highly-recommended reading
In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus says: "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone!" Jesus is the son of God who was born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was crucified, died & was buried to save mankind from their sins & ensure eternal life for them. No greater love has someone than when he lays down his own life for his fellow men. He rose again on the 3rd day & sits in glory at the right hand of God in heaven. The Holy Bible is a wonderful work of ancient literature which Christians believe is the Word of God. The word was made flesh. The Holy Bible, the all-time best seller in the world since it appeared in history, is highly recommended reading especially for those who believe in the power of positive thinking. There is so much inspiration in the Holy Bible to guide us in our daily life. How can we be sure that every word in the Holy Bible is true? The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Belum cuba, belum tahu. Tak kenal, maka tak cinta. Truth is a mental construct.
Can I f . . . you today?"
I hope PKR and PR kicks out Anwar or at least he leaves so that Zaid Ibrahim and Tengku Razaleigh can save the opposition alliance. But that part about: "Can I f . . . you today?" is ridiculous. Why so polite? No one wanting sex will ask such a question. They will just go ahead and do it through body language etc. Does Anwar ask his wife the same question each time he wants to have sex with her? Or does she ask him: (all the while standing like a kayu) "Anwar, can you f . . . me today?" Also, just out of curiosity, was the question to Sinful Saiful in English or Malay?
Need for sea planes along ferry routes
Ferry services in Sabah are an utter disgrace compared with that in neighbouring countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Sarawak, Hong Kong and Macao. Most of the time, the ferries lack life-jackets and other safety equipment. People are actually very afraid to take the ferries and given a choice would rather fly. It's time for the state and federal governments to introduce sea planes along the routes plied by the ferries. They could operate as sea taxis or shuttle services.
Time for 3rd Force in Malaysian politics
Pakatan Rakyat (PR) pro-tem chair Zaid Ibrahim and Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah should both quit their respective parties and help put together a Third Force in Malaysian politics. The Third Force should comprise Sabah, Sarawak, the Indian community, the Orang Asli, other minorities, some Chinese factions in Barisan Nasional, and followers of both Zaid and Razaleigh in Peninsular Malaysia. With the emergence of the Third Force, both the BN and PR would be cut down to size. In the final toss after the next General Election, the Third Force would seize the reins of power in Putra Jaya by enlisting the support of either PR or BN or, alternatively, help form the federal government helmed by either of the other two political blocs. Zaid faces disciplinary action by the end of this month for publicly terming PKR as a poor man's version of Umno. This has upset the top party brass who believe that what Zaid actually meant, but did not say, is that the party is "a poor version of Umno". He's likely to be suffer more than the proverbial slap on the wrist. Anwar's inner circle is pushing for Zaid to be suspended from the party until the party elections are over. This would take him out of the running in the party polls. Razaleigh came within a hair's breath of wresting the premiership in 1987. Had at least 23 of Mahathir Mohamad's 43 vote-edge stayed with Razaleigh, as previously pledged, the latter would have won by one vote.
PR should end marginalisation of Indian community
The solution is simple. PR should allow the HRP to contest in the Indian seats it plans to create in 15 parliamentary and 38 state constituencies to take up the issue of the Indians being marginalised and being denied their place in the sun. At present no one is taking up Indian issues. If PR refuses to give way to HRP in the seats mentioned, BN will win by default. Not that HRP wants BN to win. Where will that leave PR's dream of capturing Putra Jaya? This is the result of PR shutting the mouths of their Indian legislators and ignoring the legitimate demands of the Indian community in states they rule. Dap has Chinese and Chinese-Indian seats, Pas has Muslim-non Muslim seats and PKR has Malay-Chinese-Indian seats. Indians are being told by PR to support the coalition first and everything will be okay when Umno is kicked out and it takes over Putra Jaya. Such promises are not good enough.. PR must demonstrate its sincerity now by ending the marginalisation of the Indian community.
The emergence of Borneo as a great economy
The future of the economies of the states & regions in Borneo lie on this great island itself & not with Malaysia or Indonesia. Sabah and Sarawak are going nowhere with Malaysia & similarly for Kalimantan with Indonesia. The only good thing for Borneo is their unhindered access to the Malaysian & Indonesian markets. It would be better for Borneo to form a customs union along the lines of the European Union. From there, it's just a short hop, skip & jump towards greater integration for their mutual benefit & that of Malaysia, Indonesia, Asean & the world. The road network is ready, air links should follow, the ferry links & sea links should be upgraded, especially on the Malaysian side.. The Malay language is a common factor & will ease the conduct of business. In fact, before the advent of the west in southeast Asia, Malay was the trading language in the Malay archipelago until replaced by English & Dutch. Malay archipelago does not refer to a people but the Malay language.
The Law is an Ass
In the case of the two MBs in Perak, the facts of the case is what happened before the matter ended up in court. Basically, three people including two facing corruption charges ran away to become "BN-friendly" independents, Najib appointed himself as the head of Perak Umno and Perak BN and then saw the Sultan and "advised" him that BN now had the majority in the state assembly, the Sultan met with the three and the MB Nizar. Nizar advised the Sultan to consent to the dissolution of the state assembly to hold fresh elections. The Sultan refused. He told Nizar to resign. Nizar refused. Sultan appointed a new MB.. These are the facts of the case.
The fact that Najib bribed the three to run away is besides the point and also the fact that Najib agreed to drop the corruption charges against two of them is besides the point. The fact that the Sultan's family company, Gamuda, has many contracts from the Federal Government is also besides the point. The fact that there is a MACC case against the daughter of the Sultan over a road building project in Sabah, the Kalabakan-Sepulut highway, is also besides the point.
The issues to consider in the case of the two MBs is whether the Sultan can dismiss the MB if he refuses to resign after having apparently lost his majority and whether the Sultan has absolute discretion (read absolute power) to go on to appoint another MB although the previous MB is still around. Also to consider is whether the state assembly is the only forum to dismiss the MB via a motion of no confidence. Also to consider is whether going back to the people is the only course of action that the Sultan should consider since the Nizar Govt was elected by the people and can only be dismissed by the people.
The High Court ruled in favour of Nizar who became MB again but only for five hours.
The Court of Appeal stayed the High Court Ruling and later decided in favour of the BN and the Sultan.
Nizar appealed to the Federal Court
The Federal Court unanimously ruled in favour of the Sultan and the BN. Nizar wanted a full 9 to 11 man bench to hear the appeal but the Federal Court refused and appointed five pro-BN judges.
To add insult to injury, the Federal Court advised Nizar that all is not lost and that he can apply for a Judicial Review of the Federal Court ruling and move a motion of no confidence in the state assembly to dismiss the BN MB. In the case of the Judicial Review, it will never be heard until the next General Elections are near. By that time, any revision of the Federal Court's own ruling will be academic (of no use) if it is in favour of Nizar. All the Federal Court can tell Nizar is: "Oops! Sorry lah. Never mind lah, you can have a chance again to be MB since the elections are here. Good Luck. He He He!"
The Federal Court should have taken the circumstances which caused the three to run away into account and then go on to reinstate Nizar and advise the Sultan to agree to fresh elections if the MB requests. However, our judges are morons who invariably support the BN no matter what the circumstances. Blinkered (like a horse which cannot see right or left because it has blinkers on which prevents it from doing so) justice is no justice at all.
