this fight will go on
stop meddling into our affair and the call come from PERMIM, GEPIMA ubaidi foundation, who do this NGOs represents? WHY WE HAVE NO TIME, ASK YOURSELF WHY?
MY HUMBLE APPEAL TO ALLIndianMuslimS, ASK YOUR SOUL AND COMENT, WHAT IS PUT BEFORE U . IT IS FOR OUR GRAND CHILDREN AND ON THE FUTURE GENERATION.DONT BE MISLEAD BY THE TINEST OF THE MINORITY WHO HAVE VESTED INTERST TO RIDE ROUGHSHOT OVER THE MAJORITY, HOW DANGEROUSLY THEY TWISTED
THE MACHIAVELLIAN MACHINATION.THE POLITICAL CLIMATE IS CHANGING VERY FAST THIS IS RIGHT TIME FOR US TO UNITE TO TELL THEM being the underdog or written off as the second choice can be a liberating experience. It means being brave to take chances and introduce changes and reforms which others paralysed by the constant worry of upsetting their popularity ratings, are loath to touch.
THIS TAXIDRIVER APPROACH HISHAMUDDIN OF THE UBAIDI FOUNDATION AFTER BEING SHUTOUT BY PERMIN'S SYED IBRAHIM
TO GET SPONSERSHIP FOR FIRST CONVENTION FOR INDIAN MUSLIM WOMAN
AFTER WAITNG THREE MONTHS FOR THE APPOINTMENT HE SMS ME FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND HE AGREED TO SPONSER THE CONVENTION, ASK ME TO GO AHEAD WITH THE PREPATION. HE DID NOT TELL ME THEN THAT HIS UBAIDI FOUNDATION WILL ONLY FUND REGISTERED BODY AND IN OPERATION FOR 5YEARS NOW HE TELLING ME THIS AFTER I EXPOSED

WERE IS SHARIZAT?CAN ANY BODY HEAR TO CRIES OF SITI NAZRIN "THEY KIILED MY TWO BABIES',YET philanthropist is protecting ths PREDATOR

Hope and resilience are good but has its limits we can't sort of dictate them but rather inspire and mentor. Everyone processes difficult experiences in various ways. Are Indian Muslim armchair philanthropists aware of the plight of 24-year old Siti Nazrin binte Mohd Iqbal?
If you cannot help dont stop others from helping them
MALAYSIAN INDIAN NGO'S to , NOT aware of the plight of INDIAN MUSLIM women. With a blend of research, personal relationships, and relevant narratives, muslimah journal@MALAYSIA has a deep understanding of the injustices occurring in Malaysia, and an even deeper desire to educate others on the issues they are so passionate about. We have failed to even investigate torturers,YET THIS SO CALLED 'armchair philanthropist' is protecting
ThIS PREDATOR
at times like a journal, filled with anecdotes from those they've met along the way. Though every so often the solutions they offer may come across as patronizing or the stories they present as anomalies, I believe the journal is a step in the right direction, openly discuss taboo topics, some which have not been presented in this magnitude before. Bringing issues to light is the first step in real change, and facing discomfort head on is precisely what they do. They posit a general framework of what is happening, what has been done, and most importantly, what needs to happen to drive change
at the very least 24-year old Siti Nazrin binte Mohd Iqbal had filed a complaint against her in-law Mohd BIN Katir Sultan(GEPIMA) for torturing her for more dowry, Siti's father has given 800gms of gold valued at RM95,OOO. They still tortured me fron day one I enter their house. Mental and physical torture by Mohd bin Katir Sultan and his family for more dowry of RM100,000 in cash to buy a bunglow in Taman Rawther. MOHD son had only primary six , assaulted with hot iron, forced her to sleep in the storeroom and was fed with left over food.a withness tipped her father how she was forced to housework for the family of 12 people during the time she was pregnant they continue to torture her, her former husband and his mother pressed her baby while she was carring ,they kill my baby cried . They are supposed to bear half the cost of the wedding but they tricked my father to agree for the full cost of the wedding mohd even demanded rm 2000 commision from the caterer the catering was fully paid by my father what kind vulture is this man yet the so called
MOHD BIN KATIR SULTAN is the one who ended the relationship. He always remind me if i complain to my parents he will end our relationship me one day to announce, "It's over."ask his son , I got a piece of mail, which my husband had signed with the three words "Talaq, talaq, talaq," meaning "I divorce you, I divorce you, I divorce you." According to traditional interpretation, a Muslim man has to simply utter this word three times to divorce his wife While these situations are becoming in Malaysia among INDIANMUSLIMS, they still occur often enough to warrant some discussion on them. There are those families who will use the bride's dowry as their own. Often in these situations, the bride's dowry will be recycled for the groom's sisters' dowry. Sometimes, the groom's family uses the bride's dowry entirely for their own means and the bride does not benefit from it all. There have been horrible, true stories of the groom's family agreeing to one dowry and after the bride is married (and I might add, no longer a virgin) demanding more from the bride's parents. Threats of divorce are often used to entice the bride's parents to give more dowry. In a country where shame is brought down on the divorcee, parents of the bride will do whatever they can to save their daughters this shame. Occasionally, the threat of physical violence is used. There really is no way these type situations can end happily. Even if the bride's parents are able to scrape together more dowry, they will not be able to continue doing so and in the end the bride is either sent home in shame or sometimes killed in an "accident".
Often people do not realize the dowry system has repercussions in many different areas other than the obvious horrible one stated above. Given the fact that a girl's parents must provide a substantial dowry plus try to give her a college education or some form of formal education today, it is not surprising that the number of girl abortions are extremely high in India. Interestingly, India theoretically is a culture which places high value on females. The females of a family are the life-blood, the pride and honor of that family. It is a very contradictory situation to see such importance placed on females and then to see the abortion rates of female babies sky high. Most college-educated Indians I have spoken to, both male and female, stand in firm objection to the dowry system and see that the twisted form it has taken is responsible for the degradation of women. In these families, girl children are just as prized as boy children and parents are teaching their daughters of their own worth as a human being.

TOLD SITI'S FATHER MOHAMAD IQBALTHAT HE CANT HELP BEING A PERSONAL MATTER.BUT NOW WHY IS HE BACKING OUT THIS CONVENTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GEPIMA MOHD
Drawing parallels to the story in the Quran which related how Prophet Muhammad engineered the opening of Mecca to Muslims through the Treaty of Hudaibiyyah, this taxidriver pointed out that change did not happen overnight.
"The success that was achieved certainly did not happen in the blink of an eye. Two years before the Opening of Mecca, a treaty known as Hudaibiyyah was sealed between Rasulullah S.A.W. and the Quraisy clan.
"None doubted the treatise. Yet clearly there were advantages behind the readiness and patience of Rasulullah S.A.W. in accepting the contract…As soon as the Treaty of Hudaibiyyah was sealed, Allah issued a commandment:
'Truly, for your struggle (O Muhammad) We have opened a path to victory that is clearly to be seen,'"this taxidriver highlighted.
"The change that we desire to implement is based on solid blocks of stones, a distant cry from the empty rhetoric based on hate and dispute," he said.
He added: "We must ensure that this INDIAN MUSLIM is not swallowed up by the fires of partisanship and sunk with reckless dogmatism. Remember 'who sows the wind will reap a hurricane'."
THIS COVENTION IS ON AS PLANNED ON 23RD APRIL 2010

Better vaccines for H1N1 'second wave'

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 10:27 PM PST

Don't retire those face-masks yet - the danger from H1N1 is far from over. In fact, the virus is expected to emerge in mutated form. Word of the potential second wave of the disease was circulated last September, but Health Ministry Director-General Dr Ismail Merican said there are no signs of this as yet in Malaysia. We cannot say how serious the second wave can be, but we don't want to be caught with our pants down, he told Malaysiakini. IFC ~ 14 Tuntutan mereka ~ seandainya anda terlupa?

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 10:18 AM PST

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Latarbelakang IFC
Nama penuhnya adalah Inter Faith Council. Sebelum ini dikenali sebagai Inter Religious Council.

IFC didalangi beberapa pemimpin Pakatan Rakyat antaranya adalah :
Sivarasa a/l Rasiah ( Naib Presiden PKR ),

Tian Chua ( Ketua Penerangan PKR ),

Ronnie Liu ( Setiausaha Hal Ehwal Pertubuhan Badan Bukan Kerajaan DAP Pusat ),

Elizabeth Wong Keat Peng ( Ketua Penerangan Wanita PKR ).

Berikut merupakan 14 tuntutan IFC :

Mr & Mrs Khir Toyol

Apparently the MACC is now in the process of investigating him, after the Selcat inquiry. What the MACC can and can't see will be interesting in the next few weeks or months as the case may be, or will the entire case be dropped and forgotten as one case of another MB and some Timber concessions. In that case I remember the DAP continuously demanding and explanation for some irregularities on the grant of a timber concession, and not long after that operations lallang was launched and Lim Kit Siang jailed and shut out immediately.

UMNO Cuti (Lawatan Sambil Belajar)

AFTER a gruelling seven days, the public inquiry into possible misuse of funds by Wives of Selangor Elected Representatives Charity Organisation (BALKIS) ended yesterday, leaving those who attended reeling from the revelations.

For more than a week, details of money spent on exotic trips, overseas souvenir- shopping expeditions and gifts for guests attending glitzy functions, kept members of the Selangor State Assembly's Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) riveted as the figures continued to rise.

The inquiry is the first to be conducted by a State Legislative Assembly in the country. Other States are widely expected to follow suit following the conclusion of the Balkis inquiry.

Yesterday, PNSB chief executive officer Datin Khairiyah Abu Hassan dropped a bombshell when she further revealed how much the State-owned conglomerate had forked out for former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Khir Toyo and his family's expenses during the overseas technical visits.

She also drew hoots of laughter when she explained the reasons for the trips.

Dr Khir and his wife, supposed to have been key witnesses, failed to turn up for any of the inquiry proceedings.

Dr Khir would be referred to the Committee of Privileges while Zaharah could be prosecuted under Section 5 of the Contempt of the House Act 2008. The inquiry's findings will be presented at the next sitting of the Selangor State Assembly in July.

The Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission is expected to investigate possible criminal breach of trust (CBT) once Selcat concludes its findings and police conclude their investigations.

11 Sept 2009 - Khir Toyo was called
for questioning by MACC  but he was let go after some greetings and minor questions.  Why didn't they keep him overnight like Teoh Beng Hock and then see if he jumps to his death from Plaza Masalam?

Tajuk: Jangan Jadi Mangsa Kepada Agen Provokator!

Resist Retaliation! Condemn the Vile Attacks on Mosques

This latest attack on a place of worship, specifically at At-Tirmizi Mosque, Lembah Pantai, is yet another in the series of attempts to destroy the peace and harmony of our country by certain elements.

This vile act is meant to destroy our harmonious pluralism and our democracy. We must not let them succeed nor must we allow these cowardly actions to frighten us.
My visit coincided with that of the IGP and his leadership. I urge them to investigate this matter thoroughly and focus all their attention on combating such attacks rather than dissidents of the BN led government.

I also call upon the government to set up a Royal Commission of inquiry into such attacks. The carefully choreographed attacks are eerily similar and require an independent entity to ensure no political stone is left unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
No thinking Malaysian would attack a place of worship. No religion condones such violence and we hope that all men and women of goodwill shall condemn these recent sectarian provocations.

Members of the public who have information on these incidents have a moral responsibility to come forward. Our focus is to ensure peace and calm at all time. We remain undaunted in the face of such provocations. This episode will only bring us closer together –let us prove that the Malaysian spirit will triumph in the face of such tribulations. Our country is going through a difficult time, and this is all the more reason for us to draw closer together, rather than stand apart.

I will be joining the At-Tirmizi Mosque congregation tonight. The police have also given me their assurance that the OCPD of Brickfields will also be in attendance. This is the time to work together, not stand poles apart.

Is Anwar's house of cards crumbling?

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 08:48 AM PST

However impressive this collection of house of cards looks, the person who builds it is always aware that the slightest gust of wind, a bee landing on a parapet or the fart of a gnat could bring it all crashing down.

Anwar is one of the best car stacker, whether in a deal or as a house.
He knows how to make a deck work to maximum effect, he is the consummate political gambler but as any gambler knows, one must make an exit when the going is good.

The laws of probability always backs the house and in the long run the house always wins.
In politics, the house is the people, in the end the will of the people will always prevail, be they good or bad.

Right now the house of cards that Anwar built is being shaken, by nothing else other than the indecisiveness of its leader.
The two opposing sides in the Kalimah Allah issue, Zaid Ibrahim and Zulkifli Nordin, both have nothing flattering to say about their party.

Zaid sasy that PKR now is nothing more than a poor man's Umno, poppwed from the same mould only with less quality.

Zul Nordin said that it is pandering too much to the liberals and alienating the Malays...

Anwar claims to represent reform but even by a low standard, this reform is not apparent even within his party, well not beyond window dressing anyway.

Azmin and Azizah makes the AAA crony pyramid scheme that runs the party while accusations of Anwar's failure to listen to the grass root is gaining volume by the day

A leader who cries reform invites a heavy burden onto his shoulder
A leader who cries reform also issues an open invitation for the public to measure him by a more strict yardstick.
After all a reformist cannot be as badly behaved as the people or system that they want to reform.

Malaysians, it must be said are hungry for reform. They want a cleaner, more efficient Government that has clarity of vision, firmness of rule and fairness of governance.

These are three rather vague and difficult to define criteria because we each may have slightly different variations as to what vision we want the Government to project, how firm we want them to rule and what we mean by fairness in government.

Are we necessarily looking for a Government that envisions Malaysia becoming another Switzerland, prosperous, neutral and insular?
Do we want to be another United States, rich, confident and overbearing?
Perhaps the vision of a future Malaysia that the majority of our countryman share does nto necessarily involve everyone driving Aston Martins, tanning on yachts and  wearing Brioni.
My personal vision of a Malaysian future involves a more equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities both in business as well as public sector.
It involves a Malaysia driven by the simple desire to be better on every level and in every aspect of life.
I want to see a Malaysia where everyone has a chance to be better than their parents
I want a Malaysia that is as rooted in tradition as it is able to soar towards ever expanding new horizons.

Anwar Ibrahim, in my mind is playing politics for the sake of playing politics. His wild and often damaging criticism of the police, judiciary and Government in general sounds good on a political stage but they are not constructive.

His pandering to only liberal views are tearing the Malay community apart.

Anyone who tears the Malay community apart will reap their reward rather sooner than later. Why? because a confused an unstable Malay majority will create discomfort in the rest of the country.

The issue of the use of the kalimah Allah by the Roman Catholic was a big test for all Muslim leaders in this country and as we speak Malays and Muslims are scoring them, judging their understanding of the sentiments, evaluating their knowledge of Islam and measuring their stance on this particularly sensitive issue.

From where I am sitting none, not PAS, not PKR or Umno is coming out smelling of roses.

Umno that has the power is seen as careless in dealing with this issue.
Pas's posturing smack too much of pure political play to appease DAP and PKR
PKR  looks like they are more keen to please the liberals than the ordinary kampung folks.

I may be wrong,

maybe thousands of Malays leave Anwar's political rallies thinking that they should allow the Roman Catholics to use the sacred kalimah Allah in their weekly newsletter.

But I don't think that is the case. I think when it comes to religion, people tend to go conservative and this is why there is much anger towards Umno as well in this episode.

Zulkifli Nordin, that thorn on Anwar Ibrahim's side has said that he will defy anyone who tries to put a gag order on him in this matter.
He says that many Malays within PKR are feeling uneasy about the massively one-sided, pro-liberal stance of PKR right now.
Of course he would say that because it is his point of view but there is really no harm in trying to appease the majority Malay voters.
Sure you can win seats by splitting the Malay votes and getting most of the non-Malay votes. In fact you may even win the federal government that way but once the dust has settled, where are you going to go with that result?
Once Malays realise that their interests are no longer in safe hands. would they sit still and let their children's future be snatched from them?
You can surely accuse me of being too Malay centric, or you can call me a racist because it is fashionable to call anyone who talks about Malay rights as racist but there is no running away from the fact that Malays can only rely on political power to safeguard their interests because they do not economic power to take charge of the country's wealth generating businesses.

If splitting the Malay votes does nto mean reducing their political influence, then they would be fine about it but as has been shown in Perak, Selangor and Penang, the interests of the Malays take a back seat when DAP takes charge.

Make no mistake about it, PKR may be the MB in Selangor but most people know who is really in charge.

Lim Kit Siang's middle finger to Malays is not helping, it is simply making the party look even less sincere in looking after the interests of other than the Chinese.

Alahai Malaysia! Ada Undang Undang tetapi Pelaksanaannya Lomah!!!

Bilamana saya terbaca tentang Menteri Penerangan kita memaafkan penghinaan blogger Aduka Taruna yang mencaci tahap terlampau Almarhum Paduka Sultan Johor, Sultan Mahmud Iskandar, saya berharap benar bahawa ada khilaf dipihak media yang menyiarkan kemaafan Dato Seri Rais Yatim tersebut?

Saya terfikir juga tentang apa kuasa Dato Seri Rais Yatim untuk memaafkan suatu jenayah tahap terlampau yang melibatkan soal maruah Almarhum Paduka Sultan Mahmud Iskandar?

Apakah Dato Seri Rais Yatim kini berkuasa penuh melangkaui Sistem Kehakiman Malaysia?

Saya maafkan Aduka Taruna! '

Begitu sahaja? Saya masih dok pening kepala memikirkan perkara ini!

MANA DIA KEDAULATAN UNDANG UNDANG?

MANA DIA KESOPANAN DAN KESUSILAAN?

MANA DIA KESETIAAN PADA RAJA DAN NEGARA?

Jika ikutkan hati...................@#$%^&!!!!

Teringat lagu ' Apo Kono Eh Jang?

Dato Seri Rais, kena mula bela misai!

Sungguh! Lepas tu kuatkuasakan undang undang !

A gremlin in Anwar Ibrahim

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 06:38 AM PST

Malaysians, you should read what Anwar Ibrahim writes in the Wall Street Journal. For me, I dont have any reason to collaborate that notion. What he envisaged in the article Muslims have no monopoly over Allah is nothing more than a desperate political effort to invigorate international hatred towards Malaysia.

Its a sad thing that he only mentioned the attacks on churches and Hindu kovils, blaming it on Najib Razak's government and Umno; while he himself has forgotten similar incidents that took place on a few surau. The latest, as mentioned by Rockybru is the pighead incidents at two mosques in Petaling Jaya.

(Also read Pasquale's piece, rebutting what DSAI wrote).

In my opinion, Anwar did what he got to do as his efforts to distract public attention towards his sodomy case has failed. Similarly, all attemps to reconciliate his Parti Keadilan Rakyat is fizzling out. Even his Pakatan Rakyat is losing more feathers due to bickerings among its leaders in DAP, PAS and PKR.

He has unwittingly left the fact that Malaysians are all against any forms of racial and communal confrontation, let alone seeing their harmonious livinghood being tattered by a few 'gangster'... like what some PR leaders are. He spoke too soon, not knowing that the upshot will be more on reflecting how superficial he is - trying to be a corker but ending up being a bete noire.

It is inconceivable for someone who used to be with the government, a respectful and knowleageable figure like him has lost his godly manner and instead falling for the Western way of degrading his own country, his own people and his own religion. He is now a faux pas.

He overtly went against the truth about the government and the situation of the country, just for the sake of winning some pattings on his back from his Western friends. And I am still searching for what is said to be his interview with one of the Australian dailies sometimes in December 2009 - during which he predicted ''religious problems'' would hit Malaysia in early 2010.

Also, rumours that he was trying to bring in Imelda Marcos money from abroad, said to be around USD20 billion for Imelda to run for the presidential election this year.

What actually are you pursuing, bro?

RUN AWAY THOUGHTS OF ERRAND YOUTHS

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 06:24 AM PST

As the days go by all the right thinking people of this nation would be amazed with the antics of Najib's government. As a government it has the responsibility to maintain law and order without bias. The government in the first place should have upheld the constitutional rights of all the citizens, to profess and practice their religion without undue and nonsensical restrictions being enforced on how the citizens address the Supernatural Being. The government implied by its orders that the Muslims in Malaysia have a "Copy Right" over the generic term Allah.

The politicians from the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) and a lost sheep of UMNO by the name of Zulkifli Noodin who by default is now a member of the Parti Pakatan Rakyat (PKR) and Hassan Ali of the Pan-Islamic Party (PAS) have not learned to embrace the universal values of humanity which to our commonsense would translate to there being sincerity, empathy and the easiest of all would be simplicity as being our way of life.

These politicians have become unscrupulous in expressing their ideology in respect of their faith in their religion, so much so, that it has given the general populace a great deal of anxiety over the current prevailing situation.

This is owing to the fact that over the last three weeks some Muslim youths who do not possess wisdom and or compassion have chosen to express their prejudices and misconceptions on what they have conceived from the idea of ketuanan Melayu or the indoctrination through the Biro Tata Negara by fire bombing and vandalizing the places of worship of Christians and Sikhs.

As much as the UMNO politicians have not learned to improve their psychological well being they are now demonstrating to the world that they are not capable of improving their mental wellness as they have all along been intellectually dishonest.

Since they have no comprehension of what empathy and mutual understanding means in a diverse society, as it is not in their vocabulary, they have to carry out a crusade to showcase to the world that they cannot surrender their implied copy right on the generic term of Allah.

Whilst their antics of fire bombing and vandalizing  places of worship have been largely ignored be the Christians and the Silks, where in fact we have stated that we forgive them for they know not what they were doing, these errand youth decided to change their modus operandi, to create civil strife.

The errand youths or their puppetry miscalculated their acts. They decided to burn the place of worship of Muslims hoping to generate anger amongst the ethnic Malay masses. But Allah being the all Mighty gave our highly indiscipline but efficient police force all the clues and they had no choice but to act and arrest the perpetrators, which unfortunately includes the son of a policeman.

Whilst the perpetrators are under remand, the morally defunct puppetry may have directed the errand youths to hunt for wild bores and behead the creatures and wrap the heads in plastic bags and throw the heads into some Mosques in Petaling Jaya. Their imagined acts of creating civil disorder have failed miserably. They have instead let the cat out of the bag.

UMNO politicians and in particular Zulkifli Noordin of PKR and Hassan Ali of PAS are hereby put on notice that you cannot continue to play the dangerous game of professing blind religious faith or blind nationalism which is premised on racism.

We are currently living in the 21st. Century where all politicians from both sides of the political divide have to seriously take into consideration  the complexities of  globalization and further the dynamism of our multicultural society.

The ethnic Malay by themselves will get lost in not being able to navigate the labyrinth of the technological innovations that are taking place in the universe and more so with the education policies being that the children would have to be educated in the National Language.

Even now we have a large pool of highly qualified persons who are not comfortable in communicating and writing in the English language and are thus unemployable. Therefore it is only proper that the politicians from both sides of the political divide should stop playing and propagandizing and creating imagined communities. Their political acts will only lead the future generation of the nation to the tabernacle of misfortune and impoverishment.

As Friedrich Nietzsche said: "One must separate from anything that forces one to repeat no again and again" And we all know that in this day and age we as a nation which survives on exporting our goods cannot afford to progress in isolation on the premise of Ketuanan Malayu and say no to Foreign Direct Investment as we do not have much developed indigenous technologies to create employment opportunities.

Its amazing, that with the puppetry acts of today, Malaysia made it to all the major international press in less than a day and these are the links:-

This is extremely bad for foreign investment in the our country and now we wonder how many big foreign companies are going to start pulling out in the next few months or so. So are we doomed and have to be consigned to be a failed state and sent to the limbo of the stone ages again! The voters beware.

Here is another link which will give all of us food for thought.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100127/ap_on_re_as/as_malaysia_allah_ban

The time has come for the government of Najib to realize that Malay Supremacy has long since been redundant as Mahathir burnt his fingers by toying with that pseudo ideology. We as a nation of diversified people should work towards the premise of multiculturalism and aim to establish the spirit of a global citizenship and harness our talents, skills and abilities to compete on the world stage to create employment opportunities for our future generations.

As Confucius said:"Men's natures are alike, it is their habits that separate them."

Therefore all politicians from both sides of the divide, as much as you are in competition with each other you should never fail in your duties to uphold the advocacy of tolerance as ignorance can only lead to arrogance where the end result would be the enrichment of the thoughts of the errand youth of this beautiful nation of ours which has in a megalomaniac way been advertised to the world that "Malaysia is Truly Asia".

Make your actions speak louder than you words.

Roar of the Tiger

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 05:41 AM PST

As the fierce tiger of 2010 approaches, its "Roar" is deafening as the world markets retreats in  fear and nervousness.

Asian stocks declined for an eighth day, the longest losing streak since May 2005 as the MSCI Asia Pacific Index slid, taking its six-day retreat to 7.8 percent in the longest slump in a year. The Shanghai Composite Index sank as banks dropped on lending curbs and investors speculated policy makers may soon raise rates with a drop of more than 5% in the past 7 days and closing below the psychological 3000 levels.

Copper for delivery in three months fell 1.5 percent to $7,270 a metric ton today on the London Metal Exchange, leading a retreat in metals. China accounts for more than a quarter of global copper demand.

"People came into this year with too optimistic a view and now they are being punished for that," said Charles Morris, who runs HSBC Investment Management's Absolute Return Fund in London with about $2.5 billion in assets. "It's perfectly healthy to have this correction."

And just look at Malaysia.. still busy playing their dirty politics.

Anybody out there?

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 04:48 AM PST

It was an eventful 2009 in terms of job; where I felt that for the first time in many years, it was a fruitless pursuit. Imagine having all the fun working in London yet longing to be something more. And having a good life there just make the sense stronger.

I wanted to quit and do something else.

As it turns out, I moved to a new job and things seemed to have a turn for the better. Was volunteered to facilitate a high level meeting in Miri and took the opportunity to extend my weekend by visiting middle Baram again.

In summary, the villagers are still suffering with little help from anybody else but their faith /themselves ... I hope. It was a fruitful discussion, yet i know that the stake are high and am not sure how to move forward.

Basically, giving fish is easier than teaching people how to fish.. esp. when one is not a fisherman. I was able to engage some Oxford chap about developing localized technology that uses river power. Have also got some link from loving Christians whose South African root is in agriculture and technology. And recently, was linked to a landlady who implements micro credit and knows another person from Indonesia who concorted a super fertilizer formula. But none of this is concrete ... till just now.

In short, there is donation available to help this village (Long Ikang) in Middle Baram. They suffer 2-3 times of flooding per year and is now affected by drought. Any rice produce is for self sustenance.

Here is the strategy:-
1. Rework on the irrigation channel by building 2 ponds and irrigation ways.
2. This includes a supply of water pump to draw out water during flood and to draw water in during drought. The pump will be shared with another village nearby.
3. Explore the feasibility of pig farming with the eye on diversification of income. Planting of food vegetation and usage of pig manure as fertilizer to complete the chain. Possibily under micro credit scheme for motivation.
4. Work out the distribution channel to ensure that products can be shipped to the 2 nearby towns.

So, all we need now is a person whom can help to monitor and ensure that the project can be carried out. This person can be a volunteer or even have his time paid in allowance in ensuring that the project are developed and tracked. We need a local, a Sarawakian man ( for safety reason) who can devote time in visiting and tracking the progress. And till now, we can't find that person yet. So, if you have any desire or knows someone who is willing to do a short term help, please drop us a note.

Even as we speak, this village was flooded last week by the water from the mountains compounded by the lack of vegetation cover.

Anwar man man lai with Kulim Wonder

Posted: 27 Jan 2010 04:19 AM PST

Man man lai in Mandarin literally means 'slowly slowly come'.

More correctly, it says 'take it easy, don't rush' or even 'we'll get there eventually', etc.

It's one of Anwar Ibrahim's fave phrases to his Chinese audience. He would tease them with an introduction to a supposedly scandalous story, usually about Najib, the man he sees as blocking either his ascendancy to the PM position or his return to the chair of UMNO's No 1, or both, ...

... and when his audience clamoured for more, for the entire story, Anwar would say 'man man lai' as an excuse for not completing the tale because he either didn't have the goods or he dared not tread the libellous path.

We now come to the Kulim Wonder and his complete disrespect for the PKR gag order imposed on him which I posted yesterday in PKR heels-dragging over disciplining the Kulim Wonder. Bloke has virtually given Anwar and the PKR leadership the 'bird'.

Anwar's glaring reluctance to take immediate disciplinary action against the Wonder (man man lai?), and this would be the second time he has allowed the Wonder to get away with ill discipline, has so disgusted Zaid Ibrahim who predicted that, unless PKR leadership sacks the Kulim Wonder, PKR could become a 'poor man's version of Umno' that was incapable of defending its principles and bringing reform – see The Malaysian Insider's Zaid slams PKR over Zul's case.

In fact many has compared the gutless way PKR has been and is heels-dragging over disciplining the Kulim Wonder with that of UMNO's immediate suspension of Ahmad Ismail for making racist comments against the Chinese.

What a shameful disgrace for Anwar when AAB, the Sultan of Somnambulance, is now seen as decisive while he, the so-called Renaissance Man, appears gutless and indecisive.

Man man lai!

Zaid Ibrahim has accused a minority of the leadership in PKR (only two out of 23, according to Terence Netto in his MKINI article Minority view prevails in PKR over Zulkifli) of fearing to take action against Zulkifli because these two felt the Kulim Wonder is popular among the Malays for his Islamic issues.

Those 2 leaders, and you can make an intelligent guess as to who they are, are obviously doing what the Chinese would say 'each leg (or foot) on a separate boat', meaning they want the multiracial votes but also want the exclusively Malay-Muslim votes, and are waiting to see which is more likely (or greater) before committing themselves to the majority side.

Zaid is correct – PKR under Anwar and his inner core group just want to be the 'new' UMNO.

And because of this, Zaid predicted: "Many feel that PKR is not serious in taking action. In fact, there those who predict it won't take strict action within the time given."

Yup, man man lai. I've to confess I am one of those who believe Anwar will close one eye to the Kulim Wonder's nonsense again.

Then Farish Noor wrote in The Malaysian Insider's The Maharaja wears no clothes:

Such positive developments, however, are set back by the lame and insipid developments on the political front; most notably the turgid pace of reform in some of the political parties of the country, including those parties that claim to be founded on the basis of reform itself.

Most recently we have witnessed the pathetic spectacle of political parties totally unable or unwilling to undertake the task of reform in their own ranks, and failing to admonish errant members whose actions and speech seem to contradict what the parties stand for. […]

… consider this: If there was a Capitalist party that discovered one of its members to be a Communist, the Capitalists in the party would simply lay down an ultimatum to the member and tell him/her to make one of two choices: Either conform to the ideology of the Capitalist party or leave and join a Communist party. So would it be with a Communist party that harboured an errant Capitalist member. So would it be with any other party on the planet, for heaven's sake.

Yet the failure of PKR to deal with issues of ideological consistency and conformity with/to party principles leaves the mind boggling …

All of this points to the now evident weakness of the man who has become the emblematic leader of the PKR himself, and who was the icon and idol for so many. Not least an entire generation of first-time voters who saw in him a new hope for the future.

The 'New Politics' that was bandied about in March 2008 was meant to be a departure from the old mode of patronage-clientelist personalised politics and the 'buddy-buddy' network of the past.

However as some senior PKR leaders themselves have come to admit, it appears that not everyone is equal in PKR and that some are more valued and protected than others.

The damage that this has and will cause to PKR cannot be gauged at the moment, but the lustre has begun to wear off.

Perhaps the first blow came when the much-lauded and over-hyped 'takeover' of the country scheduled for September 2008 never materialised; akin to standing in the heat waiting for the space shuttle to take off and only to be told that the darned machine won't fly because the astro-toilet system cannot flush.

A series of similar letdowns and non-shows have disappointed us all, and with that so have the admiration and respect waned.

I am not the first and only one to say this, but others have noted too that the party now seems to be a case of all 'sound and fury, signifying nothing' — to quote the leader's favourite playwright. The Maharaja has lost his charm. The mojo has gone. And the party stands naked, exposed for what it is.

Man man lai?

We have failed to even investigate torturers,YET THIS SO CALLED 'armchair philanthropist' is protecting

at times like a journal, filled with anecdotes from those they've met along the way.
They are supposed to bear half the cost of the wedding but they tricked my father to agree for the full cost of the wedding mohd even demanded rm 2000 commision from the caterer the catering was fully paid by my father what kind vulture is this man yet the so called,YET THIS SO CALLED 'armchair philanthropist' is protecting MOHD BIN KATIR SULTAN is the one who ended the relationship.

The authors argue that the over arching problems in regards to women are injustices that occur unnoticed. Many women go through life with little or no voice in their families and communities, are unprotected by the law, and are routinely disrespected. They offer education as the primary impetus for change. Throughout the journal there are examples of how educating women and girls not only enhances their lives, but the lives of those around them. Though education is by no means a panacea, it is certainly helpful in bringing individuals like sponsoring of your income to charities you believe in (and that support women's causes! has the ability to raise awareness of a global catastrophe, can give voice to the voiceless, and through its readers, can be a catalyst for dramatic change in women's lives in Malaysia
