Mamaks Are #1 Fans of "Allah'

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean they are the #1 Muslims.

<<< Indigenous Voodoo African

In fact, quite the contrary, many Mamaks (Indian, Chinese, Indon, Filipino and some 'Lain2' origin) that I know of basically fell in love with Islam solely for political and economic reason. Nothing spiritual, unfortunately for Tuan Allah Almighty.

Recently, my conviction that Mamaks Are #1 Fans of "Allah' (NB: only the word "Allah", not the His Almighty Himself) is once again proven to be fairly legit. While the real Malay Muslims such as Nik Aziz are beginning to suspect this "Allah' thingy is an attempt by UMNO to divert attention on mega scandals like "Jet Stolen By Panhandlers", "PKFZ No Free Zone" etc., we have many Mamaks including the #1 father and son Mamak in country who were quick to capitalize on this trivial issue by swearing they will murder any non-Muslim who try to legitimize the use of "Allah"!

Mind you, these father and son are also some pf the rare Muslims who don't think their Prophet's look is a cool  fashion (don't know what is Prophet's Look? See this guy for an idea) because they think the reason why Prophet-Lookalike-Wannabe never shave is because they have no money to buy Gillette shaver blade!

Where on earth can you find immigrants who try be more indigenous than the locals? Without a doubt, it must be Malaysia ... Malaysia Boleh.

Yes, God has sent us many signs. If not why would Augustine Paul expire at the same time as the sign above Umno's headquarters? Was not Augustine the main scumbag in the Anwar Ibrahim trial?

Fernando then took the court through the testimony of Raja Kamaruddin Raja Wahid, a.k.a Raja Komando, who had, in fine detail, revealed how the conspiracy against Anwar originally unfolded and the role he was given in this whole conspiracy.

"Ummi Hafilda is a prostitute," said Aziz Samsuddin Day three of Anwar Ibrahim's appeal hearing at the Kuala Lumpur Appeal Court hit a high note today when Christopher Fernando read out transcripts of the previous trial that quoted Aziz Samsuddin as saying Ummi Hafilda Ali is a prostitute.Fernando started by recapping yesterday's proceeding where he had told the court Ummi had been disowned by the father after she confessed to writing the letter to the Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, accusing Anwar of sodomising Azizan Abu Bakar, one-time driver of Anwar's wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.Ummi's father, a religious teacher, just before he died, wrote an open letter to the Harakah detailing the reasons he had disowned her and, in no uncertain terms, implicated her as the prime mover behind Azizan."Ummi's father died broken-hearted without ever forgiving his daughter for the role she played in framing Anwar of sodomy charges," related Fernando.

Fernando had earlier read out Azmin Ali's (Ummi's brother) testimony in court that proved she played an active role in the whole conspiracy.

The prosecution never called her to testify in court to rebut this allegation, added Fernando. Instead they expected the defence to call her. The judge, in fact, even mentioned this point in his written judgment. "But Ummi would have been a hostile witness so it should have been up to the prosecution and not the defence to call her," argued Fernando.Fernando said that the court should have invoked Section 114 (g) of the Evidence Act on the prosecution for failing to call a most crucial witness to testify in court.

Fernando then took the court through the testimony of Raja Kamaruddin Raja Wahid, a.k.a Raja Komando, who had, in fine detail, revealed how the conspiracy against Anwar originally unfolded and the role he was given in this whole conspiracy.

"The evidence of this witness will show he was invited to join the conspiracy with a view to topple the Deputy Prime Minister," said Fernando.

"The meeting was held in the office of Aziz Samsuddin, the Prime Minister's Political Secretary, on 26 June 1998."

In the meeting, revealed Fernando, Aziz confirmed that Ummi and Azizan would pose no problem as "Ummi is a prostitute".Raja Komando then asked Aziz whether there was any other way to bring Anwar down.According to Raja Komando, "Aziz replied sodomy would be the best way. Other ways would have no affect.""Raja Komando's role was to manage the political assassination part of the exercise," added Fernando. "The sodomy allegation was assigned to Ummi and Azizan."

"Raja Komando was to disseminate the allegation as far and wide as possible. He was also to spread word that Anwar is a CIA agent."From what Fernando told the court today, it was clearly established in the meeting Raja Komando had with Aziz Samsuddin that he (Aziz) was the Chief Conspirator and that, while Ummi had written the purported "Azizan" letter to the Prime Minister accusing Anwar of sodomy, Aziz was the one who had edited and redrafted it.

The letter, Fernando said, was based on the book "50 Reasons Why Anwar Cannot be PM" Рwhich somehow found its way into the attach̩ bags of almost 2,000 delegates at the Umno General Assembly that year."The judge did not give this evidence the weight it deserved," argued Fernando. "He erred, grossly.""If he had given the evidence the weight it deserved, would he have arrived at the judgment he did?"And what about the tragedies befalling the rest of the gang of conspirators? Remember what happened to Aziz Samsuddin, Dr Ristina Majid, Megat Junid, Mohtar Abdullah, Ummi Hafilda Ali, Azizan Abu Bakar, Hamzah Zainuddin, Rahim Thamby Chik, Daim Zainuddin, etc.?

The only two remaining yet to hit the dirt are the AG and the IGP. These two are still awaiting judgment on earth. And when it comes it will come hard and brutal. So stay tuned to see how the remaining scumbags find their faces hitting the shit in time to come

In a bid to climb the corporate ladder and get ahead in the 'rat race', new age executives spend a lot of time at work than at home. Most
Romance at workplace

workplaces have emerged as a 'second home' and thus even as an 'unofficial' dating destination.

Office romance may seem to be thrilling and even bring back the zing into your dull and monotonous life at times, but how smart is it to display your affection at the workplace? Whether it is a man/woman you are dating or your spouse who is working in the same organisation, where should you draw the line? Can office romances also affectyour career? We explore…

· Ruining work place ethics?
Acknowledging that it is normal to get attracted to a colleague, most offices do not view dating as non-permissible. However, a vast majority of companies have a stringent policy disallowing spouses to work in the same organisation. So, before you get romantically involved at the workplace, it's essential to know your company's policies regarding the same.

So if you thought public display of affection was alright at the workplace, think again. Harsha Choubey (name changed on request) , a human resource professional working in Noida relates, "We have often received complaints of a couple who were spotted cuddling and smooching in the isolated areas of the office. Despite several warnings, they didn't take it seriously. We were left with no choice but to sack them for not adhering to the work place ethics."

"Our company has a policy which doesn't allow spouses to work in the same organisation as there are chances of confidential information being leaked out or the code of conduct being violated. We have occasionally come across complaints of employees indulging in undesirable activities at the workplace. In minor cases, we usually warn employees to refrain from such activities within the office premises and in extreme cases we need to fire the employees," says Reena Agarwal, a human resource professional with a multi-national company in Delhi.

· Prioritising is vital
If you don't want your love life to get in the way of your career goals, it's important to prioritise between work and romance. Often, flings at the workplace are a major source of distraction and may even hamper your career. So, don't let your love life take a toll on your career or keep you from meeting deadlines and attending important tasks. You can be friendly with your partner at the workplace, and have other friends too, without putting yourself or your job in jeopardy.

Suresh Sinha (name changed on request), head of a leading manufacturing firm in Mumbai adds, "My subordinate was having an affair with a girl in the same office. He was an outstanding performer when he had joined. Eventually, he started ignoring work and missing deadlines. I personally tried to explain to him not to let his personal life hamper with his career, but it didn't help much. I firmly believe that office is a place to work and not a dating club. Even if you do, it shouldn't come in the way of your professional commitments."

Vikram Prasad (29) could not agree more, "I was working as a sales manager in Pune a few years ago and going steady with a girl from the same office. We were together for two years before we broke up. I was shattered and uncomfortable being around her in the same office. My friends in office who knew about our relationship were inquisitive about why we broke up and kept asking me embarassing questions. The girls also started bad mouthing me openly. These incidents made my life miserable." Prasad soon moved base to Mumbai and settled down for a lesser paying job to get rid of the situation.

opposite sex crazy.
While most traits in men are tough to figure out at first glance, there are some which stand out.
We spoke to women spanning various age groups to figure out what is it about their men that makes them go weak at the knees!
Sense of humour
This one undeniably tops the list as most women find it irresistible when men are at their wittiest best. One of the biggest turn-ons, it also helps scoring over many arguments and thus is the top secret for a blissful conjugal life.
"Wit is a rare commodity, which reflects intellect and presence of mind. A good sense of humour also helps you and your partner avoid fights, as most of the issues are treated in a lighter way. Physical beauty may fade away, but a man must know how to keep his girl smiling forever," shares 26-year-old Kanishka Datta.
Hidden benefit : In case of an argument, women love being sardonic to their partners. If you learn to laugh that sarcasm away and do not react harshly, more than half of the spat moments can be avoided. And, may be, sooner or later, she will realise that she was just overreacting and will be thankful for your patience and love.
Clean shaven chest
Here comes an element of sex appeal that women find hard to resist. While waxing body parts used to be a female prerogative earlier, it has now become an accepted norm in men. Flaunting a clean shaven look and a dare to bare attitude is a sure bet to turn heads. After all, which woman will like to miss that peek-a-boo masculinity quotient that comes from unbuttoning the top three buttons of a man's shirt? Twenty nine year-old Garima Khurana, a Delhi based boutique owner states, "I find men with a clean shaven look super cool, sexy and more attractive to make love to. During those passionate moments also, you can enjoy his body's warmth with more pleasure."
Hidden benefit : In moments of passion, while kissing a man all over, women wish for a cleaner body that brings a smooth feel to the whole act.
Body art
Metro sexual males have changed the gender notions, as piercing is no longer associated with women alone. Women are equally turned on by guys who carry funky body art. Ankita Basu, (33) a Bangalore-based advertising professional recalls, "I thought men look horrible with piercing on any body part, but when my boyfriend got his upper lip pierced, it looked really cool. Not only did it enhance his personality, but even provoked me to get going for a tender lip kiss every time I saw him."
Expressing her obsession for tattooed men, Shipra Arora, a college student says, "A completely tattooed body might not be a fad, but I find men with a huge tattoo on either side of their neck or just near the abdomen, really hot. Moreover, the fact that men flaunt it overtly without any fears of skin show, wearing low-waist jeans and deep neck tees makes it all the more appealing."
Hidden benefit : Piercing done on moan zones such as the tongue, ears and belly button spices up the lovemaking act.
Toned body and six pack wonder
With the Bollywood brigade going gaga over six packs abs, women are drooling over the muscular look. Women confess that a flat chest or a flabby tummy is no more a turn on. Shaped thighs, well toned hips and a lean waistline complemented with visible six pack abs make up for a perfect package. Parul Sood, (39), a house-maker feels, "I find men with a well toned physique and in shape body an ultimate symbol of seduction. They score highly on sex appeal, personality and attraction quotient. Being in bed with someone with a ten-on-ten body makes all your sexual fantasies come alive."
Hidden benefit : A toned body is great to make love to and can give you an idea about the energy level of your man.

AG SAYS RANK-AND-FILE AIRMEN TO BE CHARGED FOR JET ENGINES THEFT

Najib's talk about making a police report and passing the files to the AG for action exposes a glaring point about his intentions to take action or inaction. The PDRM and AG can only act against civilians, local or foreign, who were involved in the theft. Uniformed officers in the service at the time are subject to Military Law, even if they have been cashiered since then.

WE ARE REFERRING TO A JET ENGINE. IT IS PROBABLY LONGER THAN THE WIDTH OF MY TERRACE HOUSE, AND AS HEAVY, IF NOT HEAVIER THAN MY CAR.

THE JET ENGINE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE STORED AT THE SUNGEI BESI MILITARY AIR-BASE, NOT JUST IN AN ORDINARY GARDEN SHED.

WERE PEOPLE SAUNTERING IN AND OUT OF THE BASE, JUST LIKE AT MY LOCAL PASAR? NO CHECKS, NO PAPERWORK, NO SECURITY DETAIL? EVEN MY MECHANIC, AH FATT, HAS BETTER SECURITY WHEN I LEAVE MY CAR WITH HIM, FOR REPAIRS, IN HIS ZINC-SHACK GARAGE.

TO INVESTIGATE ALL ASPECTS OF THE TWO MILITARY JET ENGINE THEFTS — INCLUDING THE UNRELATED DISMISSAL OF SEVERAL AIR FORCE OFFICERS — THAT HAS LEFT MALAYSIA RED-FACED AND IN DANGER OF CENSURE FROM ARMS SUPPLIER, THE UNITED STATES.

THE TEPID AND SLOW RESPONSE FROM THE AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THE STOLEN GENERAL ELECTRIC J85-21A TURBOJET ENGINES HAVE FURTHER EMBARRASSED PRIME MINISTER DATUK SERI NAJIB RAZAK, AS PARLIAMENTARY OPPOSITION LEADER DATUK SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM AND HIS ALLIES SEIZED ON THE THEFT TO UNDERSCORE CLAIMS THAT THE BARISAN NASIONAL GOVERNMENT WAS CORRUPT.THE GENERAL ELECTRIC J85-21A TURBOJET ENGINES USED TO POWER THE AGEING F-5E FIGHTER-JETS WERE REPORTED MISSING IN 2007 AND 2008, WHEN NAJIB WAS THEN DEFENCE MINISTER. POLICE NOW CLAIM TO HAVE TRACED THE ENGINES TO ARGENTINA, AFTER IT ALLEGEDLY MADE ITS WAY THERE VIA A MIDDLE EAST COUNTRY FACING UNITED STATES SANCTIONS.

BUT CONFLICTING REPORTS ABOUT THE THEFT HAVE ALSO PROMPTED THE NEED FOR HIGH-LEVEL INVESTIGATIONS, OPPOSITION LEADERS SAID WHEN COMMENTING ON A ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE (RMAF) STATEMENT THAT A BRIGADIER-GENERAL AND SEVERAL OTHER MILITARY PERSONNEL SACKED IN END 2007 HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MISSING JET ENGINES.

THE AUTHORITIES HAVE SAID IT WAS KEPT UNDER WRAPS DUE TO THE SENSITIVE NATURE OF THE CRIME AND ITS POSSIBLE LINKS TO THE INTERNATIONAL BLACK MARKET ARMS TRADE AFTER IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT IRAN COULD HAVE BEEN A RECIPIENT OF THE JET ENGINES, WHICH ARE MADE WITH 30-YEAR-OLD TECHNOLOGY. HOWEVER, IRAN ALREADY HAS 65 F-5S IN FOUR VARIANTS THAT USE THE SAME POWERPLANT.

MALAYSIA HAS ALSO YET TO OFFICIALLY NOTIFY THE UNITED STATES OF THE THEFTS, ALTHOUGH DEFENCE MINISTER DATUK SERI AHMAD ZAHID HAMIDI SAID IT WOULD BE DONE AFTER ADVICE FROM THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL'S CHAMBERS, WHICH HAS ASKED THE POLICE TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER DESPITE THE EARLIER NINE-MONTH PROBE.

It does not make sense for Razak to murder Altantuya with C4, after all even he is charged with the murder, his position does not give him the authority to involve so many uniformed personnel to carry out this scenario. Thus Najib can claim to be not involve with Altantuya. Now that Razak is aquitted and he cannot be charged again with the same charge, Najib thinks that he can still get away with this cruelsome murder. If Abdul Razak Baginda didn't order two elite cops to kill a Mongolian translator, who did?

According to evidence introduced at the trial and other sources, Abdul Razak contacted Najib's chief of staff, Musa Safri, to ask Najib's bodyguards, Azilah and Sirul, to "do something" about Altantuya. Musa was not required to appear as a witness. Deputy Commander Mastor Mohd Ariff, an associate of the two bodyguards, said members of the unit were required to follow all orders of their superiors without question, describing the unit's members as "like robots" who would only take orders from their superiors. Abdul Razak, a civilian and friend of Najib's, was not a superior officer. According to an affidavit filed by Abdul Razak, Azilah contacted Abdul Razak after Altantuya's disappearance to say that "tonight encik (sir), you can sleep well."

Testimony by the murdered woman's cousin indicated that immigration records of Altantuya and the two Mongolian companions who had come toMalaysia with her to confront Abdul Razak disappeared from the government's immigration files. She also responded to a question that she had seen a picture of Altantuya having dinner with Najib before she was hurriedly hushed up by both prosecution and defense lawyers.

Nonetheless, Judge Mohd Zaki dismissed a bid in July to call Najib as a witness in the trial. Zaki also refused to call Balasubramaniam despite his written declaration, which implicated Najib in the events leading up to the murder. In addition to other lurid details, Balasubramaniam described text messages between Najib and Abdul Razak in which the latter was asking for help to avoid arrest

But although we did have poor growth during certain years, the government had never failed to meet all financial commitments including the servicing of loans. In fact we had enough money to prepay loans.

Among the projects he cited were the Penang Bridge, Twin Towers, KL Tower, KL International Airport, North Port and West Port in Klang, commuter train, LRT and monorail, the numerous expressways all over the country, electrification and double tracking, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Langkawi development, Proton, Modenas, the Silterra chip manufacturing plant and cement plants.

Tan Sri Eric Chia, the former managing director of Perwaja Steel, was acquitted after 43 days of trial without his defence being called.
In acquitting the accused, the presiding High Court judge heavily criticised the conduct of the prosecution, especially their failure to call several key witnesses who had obvious knowledge of the material elements of the case.
With reference to particular key witnesses from Japan, the judge questioned whether it was the Japanese witnesses who were "reluctant" to come or "the prosecution was the one reluctant to bring them here".
It is imperative that the Attorney General's wide powers be subject to close scrutiny and not be permitted to be exercised arbitrarily.
If the government is truly serious in wanting to improve and restore public confidence in the administration of justice in this country, it must be prepared to review the presently unfettered powers of the Attorney-General.
Stop your self importance and delusions. Even in this country, your cronies still crow for you only because they want the gravy train to continue. That was the only way you commanded any respect or loyalty from them, certainly not through your "leadership by example or Bersih, Cekap & Amanah" bull. If you are so transparent and clean as you claim, why do you need the ISA, OSA, Sedition Act and all that ? They were not there to counter any threat to the country but any challenge to your ego and megolamania. Looks at Ops Lallang, which one of them arrested was really a threat to national security ? And stop condemning AAB. At least, he gave the rakyat a chance to speak up and voice their opinions without charging them under all the draconian laws. To be still so venomous and spiteful at this age is already so indicative.

Yet there you are, free as a foreskin from a recently circumcised cock, shooting your foul mouth off and bragging to boot!
Your kind will only receive punishment in the next life, coz in this zone, you are untouchable.
Why don't you go and do some exercise, like playing badminton for example., instead of spending whatever time you have left in this world talking cock, contradicting yourself at the same time, and in effect making an ass out of yourself

POOR people is below the law, RICH UMNO above itIf you were to drink and drive on New Year's eve – or on any other day, for that matter – (not that you're silly enough to drink and drive, of course) and were stopped by a cop, you'd likely face a stiff fine up to Rs 5,000 and a possible night in jail. KDN buat rayuan; MCA buat kenyataan

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 09:58 AM PST

AG SAYS RANK-AND-FILE AIRMEN TO BE CHARGED FOR JET ENGINES THEFT

Najib's talk about making a police report and passing the files to the AG for action exposes a glaring point about his intentions to take action or inaction. The PDRM and AG can only act against civilians, local or foreign, who were involved in the theft. Uniformed officers in the service at the time are subject to Military Law, even if they have been cashiered since then.

ALTANTUYA, WHO SUFFERED A GRUESOME DEATH ON MALAYSIAN SOIL THREE YEARS AGO, WAS A FORMER MISTRESS TO POLITICAL ANALYST ABDUL RAZAK BAGINDA, WHO IS A CLOSE ASSOCIATE OF NAJIB.IN AN EMAILED STATEMENT TO THE MALAYSIAN INSIDER SAID TO BE FROM ALTANTUYA'S FATHER, DR SHAARIIBUU SETEV EXPRESSED HIS REGRET THAT HE COULD NOT BE IN PARIS TODAY TO GREET NAJIB BECAUSE HE WAS SICK AND IN HOSPITAL."I HAD SO WISHED TO SPEAK TO MR NAJIB AND SEND HIM THIS MESSAGE AND TO SHAKE HIS HAND," SHAARIIBUU WROTE."I HOPE PM MR.

"Altogether I don't think the amount lost added up to RM10 billion even. If we had lost 100 billion ringgit the government would be in deep trouble. But although we did have poor growth during certain years, the government had never failed to meet all financial commitments including the servicing of loans. In fact we had enough money to prepay loans.
"The projects of course cost a lot of money. But the projects can be seen by the people."

Must read

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 07:15 AM PST

I came across this article on Marina Mahathir's blog Rantings yesterday. I think it is a must read.

Prophet Muhammad's Promise to Christians

The document is not a modern human rights treaty but even thought it was penned in 628 A.D. it clearly protects the right to property, freedom of religion, freedom of work, and security of the person, says Muqtedar Khan.

Muslims and Christians together constitute over fifty percent of the world and if they lived in peace, we will be half way to world peace. One small step that we can take towards fostering Muslim-Christian harmony is to tell and retell positive stories and abstain from mutual demonization.

In this article I propose to remind both Muslims and Christians about a promise that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) made to Christians. The knowledge of this promise can have enormous impact on Muslim conduct towards Christians. Muslims generally respect the precedent of their Prophet and try to practice it in their lives.

In 628 AD, a delegation from St. Catherine's Monastery came to Prophet Muhammed and requested his protection. He responded by granting them a charter of rights, which I reproduce below in its entirety. St. Catherine's Monastery is located at the foot of Mt. Sinai and is the world's oldest monastery. It possesses a huge collection of Christian manuscripts, second only to the Vatican, and is a world heritage site. It also boasts the oldest collection of Christian icons. It is a treasure house of Christian history that has remained safe for 1400 years under Muslim protection.

The Promise to St. Catherine:

"This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by God! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses.
Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants.
No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world)."

The first and the final sentence of the charter are critical. They make the promise eternal and universal. Muhammed asserts that Muslims are with Christians near and far straight away rejecting any future attempts to limit the promise to St. Catherine alone. By ordering Muslims to obey it until the Day of Judgment the charter again undermines any future attempts to revoke the privileges. These rights are inalienable. Muhammed declared Christians, all of them, as his allies and he equated ill treatment of Christians with violating God's covenant.

A remarkable aspect of the charter is that it imposes no conditions on Christians for enjoying its privileges. It is enough that they are Christians. They are not required to alter their beliefs, they do not have to make any payments and they do not have any obligations. This is a charter of rights without any duties!

The document is not a modern human rights treaty but even thought it was penned in 628 A.D. it clearly protects the right to property, freedom of religion, freedom of work, and security of the person.

I know most readers, must be thinking so what? Well the answer is simple. Those who seek to foster discord among Muslims and Christians focus on issues that divide and emphasize areas of conflict. But when resources such as Muhammad's promise to Christians are invoked and highlighted it builds bridges. It inspires Muslims to rise above communal intolerance and engenders good will in Christians who might be nursing fear of Islam or Muslims.

When I look at Islamic sources, I find in them unprecedented examples of religious tolerance and inclusiveness. They make me want to become a better person. I think the capacity to seek good and do good inheres in all of us. When we subdue this predisposition towards the good, we deny our fundamental humanity. In this holiday season, I hope all of us can find time to look for something positive and worthy of appreciation in the values, cultures and histories of other peoples.

Dr. Muqtedar Khan is Director of Islamic Studies at the University of Delaware and a fellow of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, when that delegation from St Catherine's monastery came to meet with Prophet Mohamad (pbuh), I suppose it's fair to assume that they spoke Arabic to one another. And when they were conversing, surely the word 'God' must have come up. As in "May God Be With You" and such like. What word did the Prophet (pbuh) use for 'God' I wonder? And what did the St Catherinians use in return? For monotheists like them, was there a 'your God' and 'my God' type of situation, or did they understand that they were both talking about the same One?

While some idiots are mourning over the 'loss' of the word 'Allah' and therefore basically telling the world that they are people easily confused by nomenclature, and others are predicting riots over what is basically a 'copyright' issue, let me define what I think a confident Muslim should be:

1. A confident Muslim is unfazed by the issue of God's name. God speaks to all of humankind in the Quran and never said that only Muslims could call him by the name Allah.

2. A confident Muslim has 99 names to choose from to describe that One God. My favourites are Ar-Rahman (The All-Compassionate) and Ar-Rahim (The All-Merciful).

3. A confident Muslim never gets confused over which is his/her religion and which is other people's. For instance, a confident Muslim knows exactly what the first chapter of the Quran is. And it's not the Lord's Prayer.

4. A confident Muslim will not walk into a church, hear a liturgy in Malay or Arabic where they use the word 'Allah' and then think that he or she is in a mosque. A confident Muslim knows the difference.

5. A confident Muslim is generous, inclusive and doesn't think that his or her brethren is made exclusive through the use of a single language. The confident Muslim is well aware that in the Middle East, all services of ANY religion are in Arabic because that's what they all speak.

6. A confident Muslim knows the basis of his/her faith are the five pillars of Islam and will not be shaken just because other people call God by the same name.

7. A Muslim believes in only One God. Therefore it makes sense that other people should call God by the same name because there is no other God.

ART THOU NOT aware that it is God whose limitless glory all [creatures] that are in the heavens and on earth extol, even the birds as they spread out their wings? Each [of them] knows indeed how to pray unto Him and to glorify Him; and God has full knowledge of all that they do:(Surah Nour, Verse 41) (Asad)

So I would ask those people demonstrating against the Court decision, have you no pride? Are you saying you're easily confused?

And before anyone says I have no qualifications to say these things, read what Dr Asri Zainal Abidin (who does have qualifications no matter what JAIS says) has written about this very subject here.

And here's something interesting. In 2007, the Majlis Agama Negeri Perlis, which is a large majlis filled with people very learned in Islamic religious knowledge, discussed the question of the use of 'Allah' by non-Muslims. Their unanimous decision? They issued a fatwa to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with non-Muslims using the word at all.(This was told to me by Dr. Asri but I cannot find the fatwa anywhere online because all the religious departments' websites are so useless.)

Are we now going to excommunicate the whole of Perlis?

Niamah!!!

F5E - no top involvement?

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 06:47 AM PST

Let's make it simple. We dont need an Einstein brain to balance this fact. Our AG says no senior Mindef officials were involved in the F5E engine scandal.

He adds that low ranking officials might have been involved.
By simple logic, such a major transaction needs full authority from the top. No low-ranking official can easily take it in his own hand.

Furthermore, this is the Armed Forces we are talking about.
Even to purchase A4 papers needs endorsement from the right personnel. Any purchase of trucks and other military equipment MUST get prior approval. Who has the upper hands in this?

We have heard many government letterheads got smuggled out from various ministries and agencies. The culprit is of course people inside this offices. Its a small matter, I suppose.

However, this is a jetfighter engine weighing a few tons. How do you smuggle it out of the camp or from the maintenance lot? Should any low-ranking officials take it out, many would question it - who's directive? This is not A4 paper!

Who actually issued order for the engine to go to service? Who signed the invoice or related documents? Why was there not a single member of the 'inner circle' noticed that the engine is gone two years later? How did the engine find its way to Uruguay? By air? By sea?

Who was the person at the port or airport giving a 'pass' for such an 'export'? Someone with authority must be involved. Otherwise, how to carry out such an operation?

Yes, let us leave it to Bukit Aman to investigate but the burning question still hovers around who was actually involved. If not top personnels are involved, there must be links. Or... will there be another Razak Baginda?

Fantastic Facts and Fancies

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 07:10 AM PST

I swear if you're disloyal I'll break your F**King neck!!!

Hello everybody. First working day of the year 2010. Hope all of you had good days. In the papers and the Internet today there are so many fantastic facts and funnies. Just read this one in The Malaysian Insider...

Selangor DAP chief Ean Yong Hian Wah will be questioned tomorrow for allegedly
intimidating the police to stop harassing party leader Lim Guan Eng over the Teoh Beng Hock case.

Don't you just love that? Intimidate the Malaysian Police? I'd like to see that day.

Elsewhere, in The Star today it was reported that a Kelantanese prince has taken an oath to compel his wife to be loyal and pay him back the million+ Ringgit he claims she owes him. The woman is now compelled to be loyal to him within 14 days and return the money in one lump sum within 30 days.

I am not sure if I missed something in translation but when I read that I could not stop laughing for 30 minutes!

Take an oath yourself to compel someone else to be loyal to you? I'd like to see THAT day.

And apparently, if the prince's wife (she's still his wife I presume) does not adhere to the court's order she would be, among other things, branded a disloyal person. Wah! But I think RM1million buys a heck of a lot of consolation.

If not for the funnies today I'd have smashed the Streamyx modem and done some other totally irrational things.

Have a good week, people.

NIAMAH!!!

NAJIB ACT HONESTLY WITHOUT AN UNETHICAL BEHAVIOUR

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 04:23 AM PST

On 31.12.2009 the High Court at Kuala Lumpur delivered its decision on the judicial review application made by the Catholic Church on the use of the word "Allah" in its weekly magazine called "The Herald." The Catholic Church was compelled to take legal action to defend its Constitutional Rights. This came about, as a result of the Home Ministry (HM) issuing a ban on the Herald from using the generic word Allah in the Bahasa version of its weekly.

What seems to be of concern, is the fact that the political leaders of the government appear to be illiterate or conveniently pretend that they have no knowledge that this word Allah has been widely used long before Prophet Muhammad, son of Abdullah, son of Abdul Muttalib went to a cave in the desert on a hill not far from Makkah for his month long quite meditation, when he had his first revelation.

The Makkans claimed descent from Abraham through Ishmael and tradition states that their temple, The Ka'bah, has been built by Abraham for the worship of the "One God."

When Mohammad was in the cave at Mount Hira and when he awoke and was reminded of some words that were, "inscribed upon his heart." he went out of the cave and heard the same awe-inspiring voice say: "O Muhammad! Thou art Allah's messenger, and I am Gabriel."

After the angel had vanished, he returned in great distress of mind to his wife Khadijah and told her about what the angel had told him. So on their return to Makkah she took him to her cousin Waraqa ibn Naufal, a very old man, "who knew the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians." Waraqa declared that in his belief that the heavenly messenger who came to Moses of old had come to Muhammad, and that he was chosen as the Prophet of his people.

The words which came to him when he was in a state of trance are held sacred by the Muslims. The voice said:

"Read: In the name of thy Lord Who Createth,

"Createth man from a clot.

"Read: And it is thy Lord the Most Bountiful

"Who teacheth by the pen,

And these words are never confounded with those which he uttered when no physical change was apparent in him.

And because the angel on Mount Hira bade him "Read" and insisted on his "Reading" though he was illiterate, hence the Sacred Book is known as the Al-Qur'an, "The Reading" as it is the Reading of the man who knew not how to read. The latter writings are referred to as the Hadith or Sunnah of the Prophet.

For the first three years his mission was to only preach to his family and intimate friends, whilst the people of Makkah as a whole who were pagans regarded him as one who had become a little mad. So from being pagans the Arabs converted and became the followers of Muhammad and became Muslims.

Now, against this brief backdrop of the information about how the Prophet converted the Arabs, any literate person, which should be inclusive of the fanatical and ignorant parties and all the people who are the leaders of UMNO, should realize that even their Prophet got his revelations from the angel "Gabriel." Then Muhammad was taken to consult the men who knew the Scriptures of the Jews and the Christians.

So what is this big issue about the Catholic Church using the generic word " Allah" in the Herald?

All that the Constitution states is that the religion of the Federation is Islam. It also states that other religions have the right to profess and practice their religion. The constitution also states that we shall have personal liberty, equality and the freedom of speech and expression, which shall be save in accordance with the law.

So, Najib, the 1Malaysia man, can you show or point out a piece of law that states that we cannot express the word "Allah" when we all pray to the one and only "Allah" and we do not have the liberty to write it down or print it in our new letters?

Najib, if you do not know it, you are the Prime Minister of Malaysia and not the PM of UMNO. You have an obligation and a duty to think objectively when there arises a matter of a conflicting nature, and you have to be astute to administer the affairs of this nation, without bias.

But, if you intend to act emotionally and subjectively, you will be the end loser.

The court of public opinion, even amongst the educated ethnic Malays, is that this word "Allah" is a generic word. Do not waste your time in filing an Appeal. Be a man and direct your fanatical members not to make a mockery of themselves in the eyes of the world in general, and in particular, since most of you are immigrants from Indonesia, in the eyes of the Indonesians who have above 10 times of the entire Malaysian Muslims population, as Muslims in their country.

Please grow-up and follow the advise of Reinhold Niebuhr as he said:

"Democracy is finding proximate solutions to insoluble problems"

And remember, that you and UMNO should not be the cause of the problems. All that the people need is for you to  "act honestly and to be ethical" and this nation will have serenity.

How They Got Banned From Little Green Footballs

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 12:15 AM PST

The following are my favourute picks from the comments at Patterico's Pontifications, who asked people to share their stories of how/why they've been banned from LGF.

Myself, never been a follower of LGF… I came in around the 'second generation' of blogs like The Jawa Report.

(For background/mockery on LGF's parting with 'the Right' and banning, see The Jawa Report here and here.)

4. Getting banned from commenting for disagreeing with him on a different site then LGF is nothing.

He's IP blocked people from even viewing LGF because they've disagreed with him.

When people that disagree with him have linked to him, he's redirected their links to insulting animated GIFFs. (Well, until he needed the hits, that is)

Nothing more petty and childish then CJ.

Comment by TTC — 1/2/2010 @ 1:47 pm

8.I was banned for commenting that in a thread where Charles Johnson was complaining about the GOP demanding ideological purity. Basically, I agreed, and said that it is rediculous for an individual to try and build support by tossing potential allies under the bus over small disagreements.

I guess it hit too close to home for Charles.

By the way Patterico, you should now mind your comment boards, there is a pretty good chance that LGF moderater Kilgore Trout will start planting racist comments in them to prove that you are racist.

Comment by bskb — 1/2/2010 @ 2:01 pm

10. I defended the Tea Party movement: I said they were motivated by opposition to increased government spending and government expansion, not racism. My comments were deleted. When I lamented that LGF did not welcome debate, I was banned. I was not shrill, did not use profanity, and tried to keep the comments highbrow and thoughtful. Oh well.

I still visit LGF. Charles should really get rid of the comment section altogether – it adds little to the posted stories and indeed serves as an enabler for the sites worst habits.

Comment by Matt — 1/2/2010 @ 2:02 pm

15. I was banned a while back, at least 18 months probably more like two years, for telling Charles to do what he finally did – publicly break with the "Right." I said something like why don't you just drop the charade, declare yourself a liberal, and get on with it. Bant!

Comment by chaos — 1/2/2010 @ 2:09 pm

18. I was banned for taking Charles to task when he posted a glowing recommendation of Max Blumenthal's book "Republican Gomorrah," citing it as a work of serious insight into the Right today. This is the same book in which Blumenthal says the Republicans are a bunch of sadomasochistic religious fanatics who had been abused as children and who want revenge on the world. I'm not kidding. After I posted my "you've got to be kidding" comment, I didn't go back for a few days. When I did, I found my account had been blocked.

CJ is as intolerant as he accuses other people of being.

Comment by Anthony — 1/2/2010 @ 2:16 pm

23. During a thread concerning Alan Keyes, one of the commenters mentioned that Keyes' daughter (I think) is gay. Charles responded by posting, "Serves him right" or words to that affect.

I quoted him and responded simply "That was really, really low" as I couldn't believe anyone would consider a child's sexuality apt "punishment" for a parent's supposed sins. Let alone the idea that being gay should be considered a mark of shame or something. The whole issue had nothing to do with the original topic and was just a childish snipe.

I was immediately banned and my IP blocked from access.

Comment by Blue Ox — 1/2/2010 @ 2:25 pm

27. When he added the "up-ding" and "down-ding" features I said he would use them to get people to self-select for banning. It seems I was correct as many claim that all they did was down-ding one of his posts and then they were banned. It is hard work making sure no one strays from the orthodoxy.

There are entire sites devoted just to chronicling the guy's separation with reality. I think that just feeds his delusions of adequacy.

Comment by Voluble — 1/2/2010 @ 2:32 pm

31. I was banned after down-dinging several post on the Van Jones controversy. I had only commented occasionally.

It was really amazing to be banned for using an up/down like/dislike feature provided on the blog. If down-dings get you banned, what's the point of maintaining the rating feature? It can only be to maintain the fiction that a positive score on a post really means something.

I haven't (and won't) go back.

Comment by Clavius — 1/2/2010 @ 2:38 pm

35. At Little Green Footballs, there is a scoring system where registered commenters may express approval or disapproval of each comment. Approval adds one point to the commenter's total, and disapproval subtracts one point. These options are called "updings" and "downdings." There are people who claim to have been banned for updinging a comment Charles didn't like, or for downdinging one of Charles' comments.

Comment by Official Internet Data Office — 1/2/2010 @ 2:47 pm

41. My story is similar to many here. I quietly, with no foul language or insults, would disagree or ask questions on "key" issues. When someone with whom I agreed got banned for some innocuous reason, he contacted me and asked me if I would please relay an "I'm sorry I cannot respond since I was banned" message to someone else at LGF. That's what I did – just said "So & so would like you to know he's sorry he cannot reply."

Bang. That was it; banned.

The whole scenario is rather frightening. Only those who toe the party line can remain. Disagree with Charles and you're history. Reality and carefulness with accuracy is non-existent. And – it is unfortunate. Once LGF had lots of useful links and some decent discussions. No more.

Comment by A Loof — 1/2/2010 @ 3:14 pm

43. Well, I was banned long before most of you were, during the time when people still called him Conservative. I'm not exactly sure of the time, at least over a year ago, and then some.

It was when he just started the anti-Creationism bent that he's been on for about 1.5 years now (maybe more?). I was being very polite debating and asking why Charles was being so angry, and he fired off an angry response to me, I responded back to him, and actually said I was honored that he replied but I disagreed. He basically called me a moron, so I said that I donate to the Discovery Center and linked to their donation page (pro-Christian, pro-Creationist musuem) he banned me…

I was ticked so I re-registered, and got banned quickly again, never really read his site since, and I turn my ad blocker on everytime I do. He isn't getting any ad revenue from me.

Yes, Charles complained about the left censoring comments on their sites when he was a Conservative, but I guess he figured now that he's one with his former nemisises at Kos, he can employ the same tactic and ban everyone who doesn't tow the same line.

Charles, it's tough to tow your line when it changes so often…

Comment by Canerican — 1/2/2010 @ 3:18 pm

45. I was banned early in the year for simply taking issue, in an adult manner, with Excitable Chucky's comparing Creationism with Intelligent Design. I explained that the two are not necessarily the same, and that the teaching of ID is not necessarily "stealth creationism." That was it. Simple.

Banned. Of course, it probably didn't help that I commented at Little Green Footballs 2.0, mostly in the non-Chucky threads.

I had mostly lost interest in LGF when he started having post after post about Creationism and stuff, and realized he was showing his true colors when he removed his header with the Moonbat shielding the Jihadi right around the time Obama won.

Personally, I keep an eye on the nutjob through RSS, refusing to give him hits, and, if I link, I use a special script that gives the link to Basil's Blog :)

He's not even an honest Barking Moonbat/Unhinged Tool. Folks like Sullivan and Kos are at least honest nuts.

Comment by William Teach — 1/2/2010 @ 3:35 pm

50.I was banned when I wrote of Van Jones: "kicked a commie out of the White House."

Comment by gp — 1/2/2010 @ 3:56 pm

53. I wasn't banned. I resigned my membership via a post on the LGF website after it had turned into an anti-creationism blog. Then Chucky posted something to the effect of "Oh yeah, you can't quit! You're fired!" So I guess I was banned…after I had already quit.

Comment by packsoldier — 1/2/2010 @ 4:24 pm

54. Mid september I was banned. Was down dinging and up dinging a bunch of posts/comments. The next day my account was blocked.

96. Not only was I banned, but I was the first to have 7 years of posts deleted.

100. I got banned for questioning CJ's mental health in a post on Fark.com. I'm not sure when they have time to run a blog, when it appears they troll every website to see what is being said about them.

Comment by sybilll — 1/2/2010 @ 6:40 pm

107. I was banned, I think, for posting at another blog that CJ had deemed unmentionable (GCP). I never said anything particularly negative about LGF, and nothing was ever said at LGF about my banning so far as I know, just one day poof! I couldn't log on. At that point I seldom did, so it's not like it was a loss to me, but still. For posting at a blog he doesn't like? C'mon–that's childish.

Lots of other good places to go, so I'm not mourning overmuch.

Comment by Bob's Kid — 1/2/2010 @ 7:22 pm

116. The list of LGF bannees that we have collected is over 1700 names now. We have a great chat like the old lizard lounge at http://table9chat.com

Stop by and say Hi. You may find some old friends and or make some new ones.

123. There's a whole "lizard diaspora" of sites built by or around LGF refugees.

I'd be off LGF for months at a time due to overwork. Then I'd check in during slower periods and get a "boiling frog" experience. See that people I used to see all over the place for years had become "unpersons". In the beginning I could at least rationalize the bannings. As time went by this became increasingly difficult.

Then the "secondary boycotts" started. Now you could get banned for linking to a "verboten" site in your own blog. Once you join the "verboten" list others can get banned for linking to you ("tertiary boycott"), etc. (Similarity with the Arab League's boycotts of Israel is intentional is neither intentional nor coincidental, merely unavoidable. Oh delicious irony.)

The "memory-holing" of thousands of comments of a long-term contributor, from a rare event aimed at dealing with somebody who left too much problematic stuff to scrub by hand, became a standard "capital punishment" for major commenters that dared step out of line, or that simply got into fights with one of the "monitor lizards", particularly "Iceweasel" who I think is de facto running the site now.

Reading CJ's pathetic "why I parted ways with the Right" provided closure, but I've not wished to dwell on the past. LGF is no more — it is a 'corpse without soul'. The spirit of LGF lives on elsewhere — in the multiple "diaspora sites".

Comment by Lightmore — 1/2/2010 @ 8:22 pm

128. I was banned for nothing more than posting on another blog. I went there under a different nic for a week, then decided I'd rather let people know who I was. Within a few hours, I was banned at lgf.
That's it. No insults, no disruptive posts, just posting somewhere else, where the policy is to NOT put down other blogs (not the real stalker blog)
I guess he's like the kids "If you play with them, you can't play with me any more!"

Comment by Kosh's Shadow — 1/2/2010 @ 8:42 pm

131. I was banned for saying it's a waste of time for anyone to defend Al Gore. I never even disagreed with the AGW theory itself, I'll admit I don't know enough about it. All I said was that Gore is an enviro-hypocrite and for that I was permanently silenced.

Comment by G Wiz — 1/2/2010 @ 8:51 pm

133. A while back there was a post on LGF about an abortion protester. Charles Johnson refered to her as "anti choice". I asked him why he refered to her as "anti choice" instead of "anti abortion". My post was deleted, but not before someone quoted it and refered to it as a "flounce". I had to look up the meaning of the word. Apparently it's what 10 year olds call a "goodbye" post. I kept visiting LGF for a couple of weeks out of morbid curiosity, but it just got to be too sad to continue reading.

Comment by Joker23 — 1/2/2010 @ 8:59 pm

147. LGF has been a totalitarian state for quite a while now, as is well documented by the umpteenth-hundred "WTF, I got banned" posts that litter the blogosphere.

This really isn't news.

Ironically, however, a thread like this one demonstrates that the "free" blogosphere is the noble way to roll. I mean….rayra and I, in the same thread? 'Nuff said.

Comment by ChenZhen — 1/2/2010 @ 10:36 pm

148.

This will be my last posting ever with this nick. I was banned about mid September of 2009. My crime? I "updinged" a post that CJ downdinged later. Banned within minutes of that happening. At least that's my understanding. No warning, nothing. I was on the way out though. A lot of posters that I had become friends with over the 3 years almost of being registered there had been banned in the great end of summer purge. I have moved on to other sites and did what CJ told anyone that disagreed with him "Get your own damn blog". Bye Chuckles, I hope you get the help you need.

Banned for just leaving. "Hey, I don't know why these people flounce off, why don't they just leave?"
Agreed ! So I did. Found out a couple weeks later that I had been 'caught' posting on another blog.
Who's stalking who ?

The saddest thing isn't the owner of the blog, but the ones who've sold their souls to the place.

My account was blocked after I left a comment praising one of CJ's posts. He wrote about someone who was being criticized for their associations and how wrong it was to do such a thing. This was long after he had started on Pamela, and a few months after his attacks on Robert Spencer. His post was so accurate, and such an example of cognitive dissonance, that is was bizarre. He here was lamenting the very thing he had become famous for doing. I said it was a great post and he should take his own advice when it came to people like, oh, Robert.

The really bizarre aspect of LGF could be seen plainly at the Lizard Lounge. I was going through menopause, so would find myself wide awake at 3 or 4AM. I got in the habit of watching Red Eye on Fox, and then would go online after it ended. I spent many, many early morning hours watching the chats there.

Charles was like their king. Seriously. They worshipped him. One night (this was about 5AM my time in Massachusetts) there was some kid in the chat who started criticizing CJ for some post he had recently made. The room started filling up very quickly. Then the King himself showed up after about 20 minutes.

It was literally like a mass bow to the King. The reaction to Charles being in the chat was immediate and typical chat room crap. People were falling all over each other to rat out this kid and what he had been posting about Charles. Most of what they typed were lies about what the kid had said before Charles joined.

I sat there for a few minutes reading the stuff as it quickly scrolled by. I corrected a couple of the misstatements by posting "that's not what he said, this is what he said:" and I would scroll back and actually quote the kid.

Somebody PM'd me and asked me why I was "defending the kid". Cripes.

I logged out after Charles banned the miscreant and I didn't bother going back to the Lounge after that.

A few months later Charles had one of his biggest fits and closed the Lounge after he discovered people were using it behind his back. Now THAT was funny. CJ finds out he's not the brilliant technical guru he thought he was. That must have really hurt.

I was banned by Charles because I posted on a new blogspot – one that he was "sure" would BECOME a Stalker Blog the way LGF 2.0 had started out. This in spite of my having been a regular on LGF for over 5 years, made more than 50,000 comments, and hit his tip jar for a total of almost a nickel a comment over all those years.
He then proceeded to "trash me" and of course his "posse" then jumped in; of course that's because I was banned and couldn't reply to him or them. To his credit, he broke Rathergate, Reuters fauxtography, and revealed some truly horrific European White supremacist connections with supposedly contra-jihad blogs as well. But other than that, I went to LGF for the quality of the comments and the commenter's, not for him.
But that he'd throw out a supporter of long standing, who'd put his money where his mouth was, because I posted at a blog he was sure would BECOME A STALKER BLOG (and which, 5-6 months later has still never criticized him or LGF) says it all; it's all about him – no warning not to post anywhere, nothing. Just there one day and then gone the next. Oh and of course he complained that the blog I posted at (which such posting got me banned) didn't even LINK TO LGF. Yep CJ, it's all about you, you Johnson.

Back before there was AGW or Creationism or BlogWarz in that vacuum reputed to be Chaz' head, I got banned. August 2007. By some people's judgement, my banning was the start of what we like to call Purge II, which has been ongoing ever since. Purge II was the start of banning people because of them posting on forbidden sites.

I had started posting on GCP shortly after the Friday Night Massacre (which, as EW1(SG) has already pointed out, resulted in the original "Banned of Brothers".) I was not exactly wall recieved there at that time, because I had poked fun at them on LGF, but I persisted, and it all worked out eventually.

Anywho, I had posted some story or other on an open thread at LGF, and had (as is my practice) given a hat tip to the person that had made me aware of the story. In this case, rayra at GCP. Chaz issued a stern warning that he would block my account if I hat-tipped anybody at GCP again (GCP was THE 'stalker blog' back then.) So, on GCP, I said that I would simply have to stop posting stories to LGF if they required a hat tip to somebody at GCP. The next morning on the Dead Thread, "Geepers" made some comment about how LGF used to be a biker bar of a blog. It was then that I made my fatal post, which I will now repeat in it's entirety – "Heh." BOOM ! I was banned, banned, banned. 25.8 K posts with never a deletion.

This may have been the first instance of somebody being banned for posting on a forbidden blog, but it sure as hell wasn't the last.

Now, in all honesty, everybody on here were late-comers to the truth. One man (other than Dave Ray, who is a whack job) called it way early. Dennis the Peasant. Personally, it took me until The Great Google Boycott to realise that something wasn't right. For those who don't remember, The Great Google Boycott, promoted mainly by Chaz and The Raj, lasted right up until the femtosecond the first Google ad check hit the old PJM bank account, then vanished without a trace. Ka-ching !

187. I was banned for calling the sycophantic up-dingers "Kiss-butts" for up dinging Chuckie for saying "I'm on hold!" while he was waiting to speak to Alan Colmes. I went on to ask, ironically, if any of them were Norwegian: if they were they could nominate Chuckie for the Nobel. No sense of humor!

I was banned within the hour. When I posted I was at something like number 300: the next day when I was doing my post-ban review, I noticed the post count was down to less than 225. He deleted a full third of the posts!

LGF used to be spirited and fun 5-6 years ago. Now it is merely an echo chamber with less than ten active posters. Good riddance comrade!

What is it that makes some seemingly normal people go batpoop crazy when they grasp the banhammer? I was once a reader, never a commenter, at LGF, but I have seen the Overzealous Moderator phenomenon play out again and again in discussion forums.

In its most common form, it's an ordinary commenter who is elevated to moderator status and immediately goes psycho. Often enough, it's somebody who seemed regular and decent before getting a taste of the power.

When it's the blog owner, it can get real ugly.

Comment by S. Weasel — 1/3/2010 @ 10:35 am

191. A bunch of us in the Lounge were banned for updinging 'Eric Cartman's Conscience' on one of the many vax threads. The gangdingers were attacking a father who dared express his opinions. We updinged him to try to get him even. We knew we were "risking" it – and that really says it all – you dare not express yourself, even by updinging a post.

LGF posts are predominantly about Charles and his fights with other bloggers. In the threads he stalks his own readers, especially the newly registered, he mocks, he taunts, it's a mad hunter patrolling his perimeter and shooting at shadows. the remaining commentors make inane chit chat and apologize profusely if they appear to transgress the "lizard" line – no one really knows what the line is though – as you can see from reading the comments here and at Kirly's list of the banned… some are banned simply for using his search feature to look for banned friends. It is flat out insane.

We started the 'new Lounge' – table9chat.com before he closed his Lounge. We managed to get in contact with those who were still left in the Lounge and were letting them know where they could find missing friends. We're still missing some, like marsl, and Elias Israel… You can find Table 9 at Blogmocracy, Stop The ACLU, The Coffee Shop, Kirly's, at 34 blogs, stop in and visit, and feel free to link in as well.

It will be good to see you – and Thank You, Patterico, for the post.

I registered at LGF a couple-few years ago but I don't think I ever posted a comment. It was always so coffee-klatschy and cliquish, and I had nothing to add to that.

Last fall when CJ made it clear that he had gone 'round the bend I posted a very polite comment to the effect that "I've read your blog for years, maybe not so much lately, but you did some great work in the past and whatever's going on I hope that you are okay."

Result? Yep. Banned!

I was banned sometime last year in the early summer I think. I do not recall exactly. It was back when he was still pretending to be a conservative. Why did I get banned? I got banned for asking him why he was so against creationists and creationism. I wasn't being negative or hostile; I tended to only comment in tech related blog postings. I honestly wanted to know why the recent change and focus on creationists. I asked again why my comment was deleted as my question was authentic and meant no hostility (or something along those lines) and my second question got deleted, I got called a moron or something along those lines and I got banned.

What is sad to me is that Johnson's most devoted followers would immediately agree with creationism if Johnson himself had a change of heart and said that he did too. No individual thought at all. And God help you if you do have a thought that disagrees with Johnson; he will just delete it and ban you.

199. A lot of hashing this over has been done and reasonable speculation is that CJ has intentionally moved to the left side in order to attract financial support to run his blog like many of the far left blogs receive.

CJ never was and still isn't a good blogger. He adds only a short note to material gathered elsewhere.

The attraction was his many commenters which used his post as a starting point for research and expansion on the thread.

They are what made the blog worth something and NOT CJ.

He has now banned over 1700 of them to reshape his comment crew to match the left side agenda and demands only yes men type of comments.

The nutroots used to hate him but now they are taking him in as a blog that 'saw the light'.

Keterangan Khalid Samad Berkenaan Isu "Kalimah Allah"

Posted: 04 Jan 2010 02:25 AM PST

Sekian.

Isu Kalimah
Isu kalimah 'Allah' kembali mendapat perhatian umum semenjak keputusan mahkamah untuk membenarkan majalah 'The Christian Herald' menggunakannya.

Itulah sebabnya apabila seseorang memeluk agama Islam dia menegaskan keEsaan Allah.

Hakikat bahawa hanya ada satu Tuhan yang sama ditegaskan lagi dalam Surah Al-Ankabut ayat 46 yang bermaksud ;

WaLlahu 'Alam

“BIG FISH NOW PLEASE BIG MAN”

Updated:- 4.30pm DAP leader Lim Kit Siang has challenged newly-appointed Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Abu Kassim Mohamed to show that he can lead the anti-graft body towards becoming more independent, non-partisan and professional.investigations against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and Selangor exco member Ean Yong Hian Wah.

lim kit siang 030606In a statement today, he also told Abu Kassim that it is important for the body to attain "national and international confidence and recognition as a foremost graft buster in the league of Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC)".

Lim also urged him to direct the Selangor police to drop the "baseless"

There is a new man at the helm at the MACC. He has received his papers from the Yang Di Pertuan Agong this morning. According to our informed newspaper source who could not interview him the new BIG MAN is in a hurry and his body language does show that "HE WILL BE AN ALL ACTION MAN."

The groundswell has already been building up and many people when asked are of the same opinion that unless he goes for the BIG FISH he will still be like those before him.  What is term the BIG FISH we shall know when he gets down to it and puts his foot down on it

We shall see and below is the article posted by the internet portal Malaysiakini.

Abu Kassim Mohamed has been sworn in as the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner today.

Abdu Kassim left the palace without talking to waiting journalists at about 10.40am.

Abu Kassim replaces Ahmad Said Hamdan, who submitted a written notice to have his contract of service shortened from May 25, 2010 to Dec 31, 2009.

Among those present at the swearing-in included Ahmad Said, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Aziz and Inspector-General of Police Musa Hasssan.

MACC's tainted reputation

The new chief commissioner inherits an agency whose reputation was severely tainted following the death of DAP political aide Teoh Beng Hock last year.

The commission has also been criticised for allegedly practicing double standards when it comes to investigating Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat politicians.

Abu Kassim has a Bachelor of Social Science degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang and Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the Michigan State University, United States.

He joined the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) on Sept 1, 1984 as an investigation officer. ACA was later renamed as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission last year.

Abu Kassim also served as director of planning and policy coordinator at the ACA headquarters, ACA director for Perak and Penang, director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy and was seconded to Amanah Raya Berhad as its head of Integrity.

What 1Malaysia means to some

In 1Malaysia "Tolerance" must be a 2-way street. No?

I received this comment on my blog Niamah!!! today. I thought it is important enough to be posted up here in case some of you missed it. I only wish that the comment-er had left his name instead of choosing to remain anonymous.

This is what 1Malaysia means to some of us. But at least people like them know what it means unlike some others of us (me included) who are still blur as to what Najib is trying to sell us with the slogan.

Patrick. You and your fellow commentors shouldn't be Malaysians lah. So insensitive towards others and pretend like you don't know our history. As if you've never mixed with Malays (practising Muslims)in your life. Do you have Malay Muslim friends who practice the religion? Have they said 'Niamah!' to your face?

Khir Toyo might be your fav punching bag, but in this issue, he represents the concerns of the Muslims in Malaysia. It might be 'irrational', 'stupid' to you, but it is reality. You might never want to understand it. This is where TOLERANCE kick in in a multi racial society.

Muslims here are very tolerant of non-Muslims. Allowing pigs here is a HUGE tolerance. But hey, you complain about the azan. Now you think the word Allah is free for all.

Good Patrick. Please continue to show your intolerance. Your are truely non-Malaysian at heart. Keep writing so that more Malays know how the REAL feelings of non-Malays/Muslims towards Malaysa in Malaysia. And the REAL reason you want a change in government.

Ash-Shirk. Polytheism and its various manifestations explained.

Posted: 03 Jan 2010 11:13 PM PST

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatulillahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.
May Peace, Blessings and Mercy of Allah be upon you!

Dear beloved Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat, Mukminin na wal Mukminat.

Today, the Kuffars have come forth to proclaim that they too have the rights to call their god, gods, goddesses, deities, etcetera with the term 'Allah' just as Muslims.

The matter is further compounded with the acceptance of a few misguided Muslims who fall into the major sin of Ash-Shirk, which is the association of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala with the deities worshiped by the Kaffirs, besides Allahu Ta'ala.

These misguided so called Muslims fall prey to the machinations of the Kaffirs who have come to treacherously manipulate the feeble minded ignorants amongst the Muslim ummah to accept that they acknowledge Allah as their God but in reality do not worship Ar Rahman as we Muslims do.

Why does this happen?

Simple.

These ignorant ones amongst the ummah do not study in depth and learn about Al Islam and their Aqeedah is as weak as the strands of the spider web slung between the blades of grass.

With the slightest of challenges towards their concept of Iman and Amals, they are shredded at will by those with the glibbest of tongues and the shrewdness of the devilish ones amongst mankind.

For quite a very long time, eminent scholars of Islam have been dormant and failed to exercise a continuous drive to upkeep and maintain the state of alertness amongst the ummah against the designations of our common enemies who strive endlessly to weaken the Islamic community by using all that they have against us worldwide.

Continuous bickering and strife amongst the various jamaahs of Muslims have grown to weaken the bonds between us and driven us apart.

We no longer have that spirit of Ikhwanul Muslimin and instead feel comfortable in siding with the enemies of Al Islam both in body and spirit.

Muslims today have generally failed to upkeep and renew ties between us that transcend race and language barriers globally.

We are prone to be suspicious of one another and often hurl abuses, curses and insults at will against our own brothers and sisters in Islam without taking into consideration of its disastrous implications.

Not that its okay to go on the rampage against the Kaffirs for no rhyme or reason but to exercise caution and discretion if we are compelled by circumstances to do so, which should be our very last resorts.

Dear Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat.

Let me share with you the realities that I have come to learn about the matter of Ash-Shirk, the major Sin of associating Allah Azza Wa Jalla, Rabbul Alamin with what the Kaffirs have come to worship out of their own ignorance and straying away from the Deen that came to be first revealed with the creation of Mankind through our Father, Nabi Allah Adam Alaihis Salam.

Contrary to what the majority of Kuffars have come to claim and sadly being believed by the ignorant minority of Muslims in name only, Islam IS NOT the latest religion that it is purported to be?

Islam IS THE VERY FIRST and TRUE RELIGION revealed to us by none other than Allah the Almighty Himself!

What religion was Adam Alaihis Salam taught to believe in and take faith into?

40. Allahu allathee khalaqakum thumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum hal min shuraka-ikum man yafAAalu min thalikum min shay-in subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

40. It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!

Surah Ar Rum. Chapter 30 Verse 40. Holy Al Quranul Karim.

1. Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wakhalaqa minha zawjaha wabaththa minhuma rijalan katheeran wanisaan waittaqoo Allaha allathee tasaaloona bihi waal-arhama inna Allaha kana AAalaykum raqeeban

1. O mankind! revere your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- revere God, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you): for God ever watches over you.

Surah An Nisa. Chapter 4 Verse 1. Holy Al Quranul Karim.

Contrary to what most Kaffirs would have you believe, Islam did not come to be revealed with the prophethood of Muhammad ibni Abdullah, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

No sirree!

Islam came to be revealed in completion with him, the blessed FINAL MESSENGER of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala!

If you are a true blue Muslim worth your name and aqeedah, then you will be crystal clear as to the basic aspects of your faith and be rock solid in your Tawheed of Islam!

Do not fall prey to the deviations of the Kaffirs, Musyrikins and Munafiqs out there!

Allah, Most Blessed, Most Glorified is He, Rabbul Jaleel, the Supreme Creator.

Our faith is that which consists of Iman and Amals.

If you are to be a Muslim, then you will have to believe that 'There is no (other) god but Allah! You will have to believe that Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) is the (Final) Messenger of Allah.

That is our creed. That is our Foundation of Faith. The Bedrock of Islam.

If you have the slightest of doubts, the most minuscule speck of doubt about that, it renders your faith null and void.

No one is a true Muslim if he or she does not believe a hundred percent about Allah being his or her Lord and that Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam is the last and final Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala sent to us, the last generations of Mankind, living today pending the arrival of Yaum al Qiyyamah, the Doomsday.

You have to study about our faith. You have to make a concerted effort in understanding our religion or Way of Life.

You can't afford to take chances with your Aqeedah.

You have only one Life, here on Earth.

Don't waste away your precious remaining moments of your interim life here on Earth by swallowing all the hype and untruths that the Kuffars are dishing out daily and join the hypocrites and musyrikins out there in accepting that it's okay for Kaffirs to call their deities as Allah!

That tantamounts to you committing Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar! Na'uzubillah! May Allah Forbid!

Now, what is defined as As-Shirk Al-Akbar?

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala warns in Surah An Nisa Chapter 4 Verse 48 :

48. Inna Allaha la yaghfiru an yushraka bihi wayaghfiru ma doona thalika liman yashao waman yushrik biAllahi faqadi iftara ithman AAatheeman

48. God forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with God is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.

Allah forgives not those who set up partners unto Him. To do so amounts to committing a major sin which Allah swears not to forgive.

The current attempt by the Catholic Church of Malaysia to address their concept of god as per their belief in their Trinity which is the foundation of their Christian faith of worshiping ' the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost' @ a 3 in 1 concept of God is contrary to the true faith of Al Islam!

We have been commanded to worship the Only 'Ilah who is none other than Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

It is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala who has revealed to mankind countless scriptures and holy books starting with all His blessed prophets and noble messengers ending with the Seal of the Prophets, the blessed Muhammad ibni Abdullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam who came to deliver to us the Supreme Holy Al Quran al Karim, God's Final and Complete Testament for all Mankind to believe in.

For a Muslim to agree and accept that the Christians or any other Kuffars can and ought to address their own conceived forms of a deity besides Allah as 'Allah' makes him or her an ignorant who falls into the category of having committed Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar!

By definition, As-Shirk Al-Akbar means that one worships or acknowledges the right to worship of others along with or besides Allah. This also means or implies that one who is committing Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar of agreeing with the Kuffars of their attributing of divine attributes to any other being or creation besides Allah.

It also implies that one committing such a major sin with agreeing with the Kaffirs that there are others worthy of worship or associating such things with being the source of power of causing harm or capable of benefiting such worshipers with blessings or goodness besides or along with Allah!

The Manifestations of Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar :

There are four aspects of such acts of polytheism which is the act of worshiping others besides Allah.

They are :

1.Shirk Ad-Do'a.

This means invoking, supplicating or praying to other deities or god, gods or goddesses besides Allah.

In Surah Al Ankabut Chapter 29 Verse 65, Allah reveals :

65. Fa-itha rakiboo fee alfulki daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena falamma najjahum ila albarri itha hum yushrikoona

65. Now, if they embark on a boat, they call on Allah, making their devotion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him; but when He has delivered them safely to (dry) land, behold, they give a share (of their worship to others)!--

It is known that there are those ingrates amongst Mankind who first call upon Allah when they are in need but then when they get what they prayed for, to commit Shirk by worshiping others or attributing such successes or benefits to others besides Allah.

Even then, what they take to be Allah is often not what He has come to reveal to mankind about Himself and these deviants end up as Kaffirs by worshiping or praying to their own conceived notions of such a deity or deities.

They even attribute divine powers to their fellow human beings when such beings are creations of Allah in the first place. Verily are they amongst the wrongdoers.

2. Shirk an-Niyyah wal-Iradah wal-Qasd.

This form of Shirk carries the implications of those who direct their prayers, intentions or acts with the purpose and determined acts of prayer, worship or religious deeds to the worship of other deity or deities besides Allah.

Allah says in Surah Hud Chapter 11 Verse 9 that :

9. Wala-in athaqna al-insana minna rahmatan thumma nazaAAnaha minhu innahu layaoosun kafoorun

9. If We give man a taste of Mercy from Ourselves, and then withdraw it from him, behold! he is in despair and (falls into) blasphemy.

Verily, ever since the advent of Adam Alaihis Salam into this realm called Earth, his progeny have through the ages, fallen prey to their Nafs and succumbed to their egos in disobeying Allah save for the Mukmins and Mukminats, the good and pious amongst the Muslims who worship Allah as He Deserves and believe in Him and in all that has been revealed to us Mankind through the various prophets and messengers of Allah.

3. Shirk at-Ta'ah.

This involves the act of rendering obedience to any order or authority against the Order of Allah.

Allah Azza Wa Jalla says in Surah At Tauba Chapter 9 Verses 30 and 31 :

30. Waqalati alyahoodu AAuzayrun ibnu Allahi waqalati alnnasara almaseehu ibnu Allahi thalika qawluhum bi-afwahihim yudahi-oona qawla allatheena kafaroo min qablu qatalahumu Allahu anna yu/fakoona

30. The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah.s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

31. Ittakhathoo ahbarahum waruhbanahum arbaban min dooni Allahi waalmaseeha ibna maryama wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo ilahan wahidan la ilaha illa huwa subhanahu AAamma yushrikoona

31. They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah. there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).

The Jews and the Christians take their Rabbis and their Priests as authorities besides Allah and worship them by giving them divine attributes whereas such rabbis and priests do die and perish away being mere creations of the Almighty yet the ignorants are not any wiser and instead turn them into saints and worship them instead by setting up altars and shrines for them besides what they already have installed in their places of worship.

Verily Almighty Allah reveals the true nature of what the Kuffars have come to commit!

On the authority of `Adi Ibn Hatim (ra), it is reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) reciting this Qur'anic verse:

" They have taken their rabbis and their monks as lords beside Allah and [they take as a lord] Al-Masih, Isa, the son of Maryam, yet they were not commanded but to worship One God: None has the right to be worshiped but He - Praise and Glory to Him: [Far is He] from having the partners they associate [with Him]" (Qur'an 9:31)

"...and I said to him : "We don't worship them."

He (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) said: "Do they not forbid what Allah has permitted and do you not then forbid it (to yourselves), and do they not make permissible for you what Allah has forbidden, and do you not then make it permissible (to yourselves)?"

I replied: "Certainly!" He (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) said: "That is worshipping them." (Narrated by At-Tirmizi, who graded it as Hasan)

`Adi Ibn Hatim informs us in this Hadith, that when he heard the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) reciting Allah's Words:

" They have taken their rabbis and their monks as lords beside Allah. And [they take as their lord] Al-Masih, Isa, the son of Maryam" (Qur'an 9:31)

He contradicted the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam), saying that they do not worship them; for to his mind, what was meant by worship was bowing, prostration, supplication, sacrifice etc.

But the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) informed him that their obedience to the rabbbis and monks in forbidding the permissible and permitting the forbidden was a form of worship, because they have thus made their rabbis and monks partners to Allah in obedience and in ordaining the Law.

Benefits Derived From This Hadith

1. Evidence that the rabbis and monks are astray.

2. Confirmation of the Jews' and Christians' Shirk.

3. That the original Message of all the Messengers and Prophets was Tawheed.

4. That obedience to any of Allah's creatures, if it entails disobedience to Allah , constitutes an act of worship.

5. The obligation to inquire from the people of knowledge about matters which one does not understand.

6. The rejection of blind obedience to Allah's creatures, for all except the Prophets are fallible.

Relevance of This Hadith to the Subject of the Chapter and to the Subject of Tawheed

That it proves that whoever obeyed a religious scholar by making the permissible forbidden, or vice versa has committed an act of Shirk. Na'uzubillah! May Allah Forbid!

4. Shirk al-Mahabbah.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, my beloved fellow Muslims.

This category of Shirk means showing the love, respect and honor which is due to Almighty Allah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem to other beings or deity, deities, god, goddesses, etcetera in a manner that only befits Him, Al Malikul Mulk, Dzul Jalalli Wal Ikram!

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has revealed in Surah Al Baqarah Chapter 2 Verse 165 that :

165. Wamina alnnasi man yattakhithu min dooni Allahi andadan yuhibboonahum kahubbi Allahi waallatheena amanoo ashaddu hubban lillahi walaw yara allatheena thalamoo ith yarawna alAAathaba anna alquwwata lillahi jameeAAan waanna Allaha shadeedu alAAathabi

165. Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides God, as equal (with God.: They love them as they should love God. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for God. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to God belongs all power, and God will strongly enforce the penalty.

It's amazing when I ponder upon the Patience and Magnanimosity of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala who in His Absolute Grace and Mercy still allows those who defy Him to continue as they please here on Earth?

But then again, when I study the history of nations that have perished before us for their travesties against the call of their prophets to the Straight Path, I shudder to think of the suddenness of their demise.

Yet, mankind still persist in their going against the Words of Allah and continue with their mischief and evil designs against Al-Islam, the only revealed faith for all mankind who choose to be Al Mukminin na wal Mukminats.

Those who choose different will only come to taste the fruits of their labors in the hereafter. Insya Allah.

That completes the explanation about Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar.

~@~

Let us now study about Ash-Shirk al-Asghar.

This is deemed to be the minor form of Shirk against Allah yet still carries the sin of going against the Almighty.

What are the form of these acts of shirk?

Well, they can be described as acts performed by someone to show off his or her acts of faith or religious deeds in public.

Any acts of worship or religious deeds that are carried out in order to draw the praise or attention of others, fame or worldly benefit falls into this category.

The committer of this acts of shirk sadly end up with getting no blessings for such acts and in turn become sinners out of vain and stand in line to be punished with hellfire unless he or she really, truly repents towards Allahu Ta'ala.

103. Qul hal nunabbi-okum bial-akhsareena aAAmalan

103. Say: "Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?-

104. Allatheena dalla saAAyuhum fee alhayati alddunya wahum yahsaboona annahum yuhsinoona sunAAan

104. "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?"

105. Ola-ika allatheena kafaroo bi-ayati rabbihim waliqa-ihi fahabitat aAAmaluhum fala nuqeemu lahum yawma alqiyamati waznan

105. They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight.

106. Thalika jazaohum jahannamu bima kafaroo waittakhathoo ayatee warusulee huzuwan

106. That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and My Messengers by way of jest.

Surah Al Kahf Chapter 18 Verses 103 to 106. Holy Al Quran al Karim.

Even the Blessed Noble Prophet Muhammad is told to say by Allah in Surah al Kahf Verse 110 that :

110. Qul innama ana basharun mithlukum yooha ilayya annama ilahukum ilahun wahidun faman kana yarjoo liqaa rabbihi falyaAAmal AAamalan salihan wala yushrik biAAibadati rabbihi ahadan

110. Say: "I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah. whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.

The Greatest of Allah's Messengers, the Chief of all of Allah's Prophets is told to proclaim that he is just a man like the rest of us.

However to those of us who are Muslims studying about our faith and its various forms of knowledge contained within, such a recognition depends on one's field of knowledge and realization that if it were not for Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, this life here on Earth and all the other realms of existence would not have come to be?

Those who carry out acts in vain in trying to garner fame, favor or fortune are sure to end up as bankrupts on the Day of Judgment for Allah the Most Knowing surely will expose the true intentions of such persons then.

~@~

The last of the category of Ash Shirk falls into the Ash-Shirk al-Khafi.

Now this act of Shirk is known as 'The inconspicuous Shirk'.

This is the act of feeling dissatisfied with the takdir of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and one's thinking that if one had gone and seen this or that person, deity or being, one's situation would have been better?

This shirk is within one's mindset and form of thinking.

'If only?'.

This is a subconscious form of displeasure within one's frame of thought that only he or she knows that they did think like that and had not accepted the outcome of one's decision carried out willfully after a serious contemplation before committing such an act?

This kind of feeling displeased with what is the natural consequence of one's actions tantamounts to committing an act of Ash Shirk al Kahfi.

Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam advised us to repent daily by offering this prayer :

" O Allah! I take Your refuge from that I should ascribe anything as partner in Your worship, being conscious of that, and I beg Your pardon for that sin which I am not aware of."

Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.

~@~

With that I end this sharing of knowledge with you my beloved Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat and hope that you will in turn spread this nasihah with others worth your time.

Insya Allah.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Law abiding citizen

Posted: 03 Jan 2010 10:27 PM PST

I have promised a reader, avatar, that I will write something on the movie Avatar. But on checking the net, there are already so many good reviews of the show, so I thought instead i will write something on another show " A law abiding citizen".

This is also dedicated to reader 'Leong' who gave us the link to an article on a late Federal court judge who passed away just a few days ago. I would not want to pass any judgement on this person, since by doing so , invariably I will cross the line over to politics. I will touch on the social responsibility of those trained in law to answer to their own conscience.

For those who have yet to see avatar, it is worth paying $18 to see the 3 D version, a very nice show with good meaning too.(It has gone past  the US  1 billion dollar box office mark world wide and still counting)

" Law abiding citizen' is about a show where justice , as human kinds know it and long for it, is denied. When justice is denied ,  serious consequences can happen, and in this show, did happen.

The show is about an engineer, Clyde Sheldon, who lost both is wife and his young daughter during a 'break in' by 2 guys. The 2 guys were subsequently caught, but the main criminal Darby who killed the wife and the daughter got a very good lawyer who bargained and traded with the prosecutor  in charge of the case, Nick, that he would agree to a lesser charge and be jailed for a few years instead of being charged for murder.

Nick agreed to the bargain, in order to maintain his own high conviction rate of 99%, and disregard Clyde's plea for justice. SO while the lesser criminal, Ames, was sentenced to death by injection, the main guy Darby was only convicted for 3 years.

Nick has the cheek to tell the victim, Clyde , that  "it is not what we know but what can be proven in court", and claimed that he agreed to the bargain because he was not sure that he could convict Darby for murder. He claimed that this is how justice works.

Ten years late, Clyde took justice into his own hand, and plotted to kill successfully the main criminal Darby (who died a very gruesome death), and went into jail for that.

Even in jail, he successfully carried out executions of those involved in the case. So the DA, the lawyer, the judge and all those who are involved in denying justice to him,  except Nick, were killed by Clyde through very ingenious way ( I would not go into the details; it is  worth buying a DVD to watch yourself).

In the end, Nick confronted Clyde in prison and took law into his own hand to kill Clyde, after admitting that he would no longer made deals with murderer  (finally seeing the light, perhaps).

This show is about Justice denied.

Denying justice to aggrieved parties can be very dangerous. Clyde said that had Nick tried to convict Darby for murder and failed , he would understand; but he could not understand why the need to bargain trade with a real murderer whom he saw with is own eyes killing his wife and daughter.

The little men like you and me , if something happens to us, for example , robbery and character assassination, the only justice that we can seek is through the channel of justice as we know it — get a lawyer, go to court and appear before the judges.

Lawyers therefore play a very important role. If they know a person is guilty and yet they choose to defend him , then it is not only against the law of justice, but probably against their own conscience as well.

I believe that in these cases, there will probably be a higher law which is totally just and which will be dispensed once we go back and face our creator.

Malaysia to assist Indian earthquake victim

Posted: 03 Jan 2010 10:23 PM PST

A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale hit India. One millions Indians died and over a million are injured. The country is ruined and the Government doesn't know where to start providing help to rebuild.

The world is in a shock. USA sent it's troops to help. Saudi Arabia sent money. New Zealand and Australia sent sheeps, cattle and food crops.

Malaysia has yet to decide on it's donation. As a country with a large number of Indian population, the world attention is on Malaysia. The British press is ready to pounce on Malaysia using the Hindraf legal claim in the English court.

After going through the bureucrasy of consultation, deliberation and appeasing all the Indian political parties within Barisan Nasional and Oppositions, they finally decided after two weeks of lengthy discussion.

Malaysia will send 1 million Indians as replacements!!!

Reason here.

Stop Provoking Christians, Goh Wei Liang!

Posted: 03 Jan 2010 09:21 PM PST

By Jeff Henry

Dear Mr Goh,

"Muslims can actually go around teasing the Christians on the use of "Allah". Anyone can also walk in to Churches and legally chant Allahuakbar.

Christians must accept that "Hey, he is singing praises of our Lord." No ?"

This sounds somehow insulting to me. I don't know what's your intention here but I can see that you're trying to mix and mess up everything and trying to confuse people here.

If this is your stand that Allah is only for Muslim, so I would like to suggest that "God" can be only used by Christians then. Then other religion must call their deity in other words EACH uniquely. Good idea? It would no more confusion then.

Please, although yes, you appear more "mature" than TTL, but I can see that you're using words just to provoke people (especially Christians) to anger. I studied linguistics, so I know exactly what technique you're using. But I won't let my anger go wild.

I have lots to say. But I guess no matter how many evidences I gave you, you just can't get it.

Why you always shoot TTL? People already can see who he is but you keep mocking him as if you're no different than him.

My last advice is, although you don't agree with the decision, please, be more open, don't "lepaskan geram" by throwing insults. It just makes you look like an idiot.

Thank you, and God bless!
