'Housemen not over-worked in hospitals'

Posted: 25 Jan 2010 11:05 PM PST

The Health Ministry has not received formal complaints from any trainee doctor (housemen) about stressful work conditions in government hospitals, said director-general Dr Ismail Merican. He countered that, to his knowledge, some hospital wards have too many trainees who end up being under-worked. He was asked to comment on an issue frequently raised in the 'Letters' forum of newspapers. These have highlighted work shifts for up to 36 hours if the houseman is on call - and there have been ...

Pandangan Sheikh Yusuf Qardhawi dalam isu Kalimah Allah.

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 01:43 PM PST

NOTA EDITOR: Diambil dari website Al Bakistani. Shukran diucapkan.

(Maafkan saya kalau terjemahan saya kurang tepat).

ISU KALIMAH ALLAH : PANDANGAN QARADHAWI ( )

Bagi Mereka - tidak kira berlebel ulama atau tidak - yang tidak bersetuju penggunaan Kalimah Allah bagi Non Muslim, perlu membaca ulasan Dr Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi seperti berikut;

KEKAYAAN SUMBER NEGARA ADALAH MILIK ANAK CUCU KITA, BUKAN MILIK KITA

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 10:42 AM PST

Duit minyak nak habis.

SELAMATKAN MALAYSIA SEBELUM JADI MACAM INDONESIA

SELAMATKAN MALAYSIA SEBELUM JADI MACAM INDONESIA

Orang UMNO bila kita sebut pasal Norway, mereka marah sangat. Tapi hakikatnya kerajaan Norway pikir siang malam pasal generasi masa depan mereka.

Govt should call up Kalimullah

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 10:20 AM PST

Let's hope the government will get to the bottom of this. The issue has been long-standing and becomes a 'time-bomb' since Dato Sri Najib took over as PM in April this year.

Its all about Kalimullah bin Masheerul Hassan, former media boss whom many believe got 'filthy rich' from various government contracts. The fact that one of his companies holds Malaysian confidentiality has prompted the public to start urging the government for some diggings.

Having the EPF, IRB and other public organisations to pump in all details about 'who and how much money', 'who goes bankrupt', 'who pays how much taxes' and so on has also moved some bloggers and the media to give it a priority.

So, if brother Kali is in London or elsewhere, do call him home. And if he's in the country, Najib has the prerogative rights to instruct for his attendance before him or an appointed committee to answer all questions. Nope, it's not interrogation but 'to clear the air', shall we say that?

The boiling question will, of course, be the manner in which his Virtual Print International Sdn Bhd (VPI Intl) was awarded the Inland Revenue Board contract worth RM1 billion (in 2 separate payments of RM500 million and RM400 million respectively). Besides, we dont know how much informations was feeded by the EPF and other 'money-info banks' about each and every Malaysian to the company.

VPI International Sdn Bhd was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia on January 4, 2002, its business address being Lot 6 Jalan Astaka Ub/84, Taman Perindustrian Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Selangor. The nature of business is the provision of integrated outsourcing solution in data and document processing.

With a paid-up of RM5,000,000, VPI has two appointed directors, namely Elliza Abdul Malek and Shaik Aqmal Shaik Allaudin and two appointed secretaries, Chong Chen Tong and Lim Hoon Hwa. Shareholders are Efficient E-Solutions Bhd, Elliza Abdul Malek, Shaik Aqmal Shaik Allaudin and Maju Raya Sdn Bhd.

Its revenue as at January 2010 stood at RM126.1 million and among its major clients are Ambank (M) Bhd, OCBC Bank (M) Bhd, EON Bank Bhd, Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd, Alliance Bank Bhd and AmIslamic Bank Bhd.

VPI is also linked with Regalia Records Management Sdn Bhd in providing document and archiving for IRB and some governments agencies. With a paid-up capital of RM10,000,000, Regalia also has Elliza and Shaik Aqmal as its appointed directors. Aqmal, according to sources ia Kali's nephew.

VPI and Regalia are shareholders for the group's holding company Efficient E-Solutions Berhad which was registered on 27 October 2003 with a total authorised share capital of 200,000,000.00. And again, Shaik Aqmal is one of the seven appointed directors which includes, among others Abdul Latif Abdullah, Syed Hussain Syed Junid and Cheah Chee Kong.

Among its shareholders are ECML Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd, Perspektif Padu Sdn Bhd, HSBC Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd, Mayban Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd and Asian New Century Capital Sdn Bhd. Also on the list are Amanah Raya Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd, BHLB Trustee Bhd and Alliancegroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd.

It doesnt matter how rich Kali is. Had he worked it out by his effort and strength, he well deserves it. However, the public needs to know who is/are behind all this contracts. All that we know is, Kali got it during the premiership of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Furthermore, Kali must have his 'team' for such a massive jobs. Who are they? Anybody from the Inner Circle involved? And what kind of kickbacks were there, if any...

Not just that. His fast emergence as owner, co-owner and shareholders of some big companies also raised the issue of hegemony and cronyism here. On record, the companies are:

ECM LIBRA BHD
LIBRA CAPITAL MANAGEMENT SDN BHD

OUB-TA ASSET MANAGEMENT SDN BHD

ECM LIBRA FOUNDATION

ECM LIBRA PARTNERS SDN BHD

UNIVERSAL CONTROL SYSTEMS (M) SDN BHD

AMPERSAND CONSULTANTS SDN BHD

VINCENZO RISTORANTE SDN BHD

ECM LIBRA FINANCIAL GROUP BHD

ECM LIBRA HOLDINGS SDN BHD

AIRASIA X SDN BHD

EKOWOOD INTERNATIONAL BHD

PALMA INDIGO SDN BHD

ECM LIBRA INVESTMENT BANK BHD

AERO VENTURES SDN BHD

TUNE MONEY SDN BHD

TUNE HOTELS REAL ESTATE SDN BHD

TUNE HOTELS SDN BHD

TULUS TENAGA SDN BHD

By simple logic, Kali is not alone. The assets are too big for one to manage with a small group of directors and advisors. Could it be people in the government's Inner Circle?

Mr X Will Be Martyred

I can't live with shits and just regard them as some kind of cheese bacon hamburgers. So, I spoke my mind based on the results or an iChing toss.

The Book of Changes say "Sultan Iskandar Will Rot In Hell".

And so I wrote the following blog to protest against the persecution of an innocent blogger who has even lowered himself to apologize for what most will consider as nothing but plain facts.

Below is what transpired: -

Looks like Bolehland under Rajib is even worse than Zimbabwe.

Why?

Because Rajib's Administration even consider a murderous villain like Sultan Iskandar as a noble man.!

Die or not?

They praised he has 'contributed' tonnes of goodness whereby his only contribution that I am aware of is that he is a kaki bodek of UMNO and it looks like he must have "gasaked"very significantly from Johor for UMNO, otherwise, how else can one explains UMNO considers him a "productive" man when all he has ever done is living on state handout all his life?

As at today, they even jailed a civilian who has basically only spoke his mind and incidentally, the whole world basically share his opinion -- Good Riddance to the Brutal Murderous Tyrant! This poor guy has even apologized, how do you like that ... ?

My iChing tossings suggested Sultan Iskandar is going to rot in Hell.

Since I have spoken something against UMNO's liking, guess it's only logically I am already on their list waiting to be arrested and be ISAed for life.

Allah-U-Akhbar!

UPDATE:

They Have Warned Me That They Are Going To Harm My Whole Family!

Well, I obviously have no power to negotiate anything with the power-that-be but hey, if you are a man, take me alone, don't disturb my family lah. Don't be a Pukimak Barbaric Pondan like the very main cast of this barbaric saga lah.

What has this got to do with my mother?

That's exactly why Malaysia is destined to fcuked forever as long as the fcuked up regime is not removed. Depend on how they handle my mother, I am ready to be martyred even my intended action woin't even cause a dent to the power that be.

SPDP- The “SCUDS” Have Landed

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 08:55 AM PST

Its reached the national print was the sms received by Joey of audie61.The missiles which are being fired from both sides have actually landed and there is LITTLE HOPE that things will improve. There might be very pretty dirty linens being hung first which will be made public before all is well in SPDP says our intel. It also depends on what  type of antibiotics is being used  to ease the pain and also to cure the inexcusable hurt of not being informed before hand.

What is going to happen is anyones guess at the moment as both sides are playing the cards literally close to their chests. For a person who is underpressure and in the spotlight Entri could afford to remark ,"It's normal in politics" The underlying groundswell is that negotiating teams are looking for quick solutions but as far as this report from the STAR is concerned the cracks are very deep rooted .

THE STAR ARTICLE

KUCHING: Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party is embroiled in a leadership rift sparked off by unhappiness over the new app-ointments SPDP president Datuk William Mawan Ikom made to the supreme council.

State Assistant Minister for Public Utilities Sylvester Entri Muran — dropped as the party's secretary-general — openly accused Mawan of breaking his promise of maintaining the status quo in the presidential line-up before the recent party election.

"He has lost his credibility," said Entri, who declined to accept his new appointment as one of the vice-presidents.

SPDP, a Barisan Nasional partner, was formed seven years ago after Sarawak National Party (SNAP) was deregistered for failing to resolve a leadership crisis. It is a Dayak-based multi-racial party.

Mawan, also the state Social Development and Urbanisation Minister, had appointed Ba' Kelalan assemblyman Nelson Balan Rining as the new secretary-general.

Entri said Mawan's claim that it was his (Mawan) prerogative to make changes to the various posts after consultation with the sup-reme council members was "to-tally baseless".

"There was never any consultation with the supreme council members. He only consulted his cliques." Entri said if there was any consultation, then four of the party's elected representatives would not have disagreed to the new appointments made at last Saturday's supreme council meeting.

He claimed the four were Mas Gading MP Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe, Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Peter Nansian (also party senior vice-president), Bekenu assemblyman Rosey Yunus and Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Gumbang.

Entri and the four reportedly walked out of the meeting when Mawan announced the new appointments.

[Raja Petra] Memecahbelahkan Hujah Shamsul Akmar | Ripping to Shreds Shamsul Akmar’s Arguments

Tajuk: Memecahbelahkan Hujah Shamsul Akmar | Ripping to shreds Shamsul Akmar's arguments

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Point nombor 1: Mantan Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad selalu menyebut masalah orang Melayu.

Melayu terlalu feudalistik, kata Mahathir.

Point nombor 2: Shamsul, menuduh DAP menjadi parti chauvinis orang cina.

Tanya isteri saya. "Anda adalah munafik. Anda adalah aib bagi Islam. Anda perlu menanggalkan kopiah putih di kepala anda. "

Zul Nordin berjalan tanpa mengatakan apa-apa.

Middling value in 'Middle Malaysia'

SHAMSUL AKMAR, New Straits Times

DAP'S new remedy for the nation -- Middle Malaysia, sounds quite ancient and feudal -- very much like the Zhou Dynasty's Middle Kingdom.

Even if the Middle Kingdom is attached to that which is Egyptian, it is still very feudal, a period when rulers were divine and a law unto themselves. But for most Malaysians, surely Middle Malaysia will echo that of the Chinese Middle Kingdom and not that of the Egyptian. (Point number 1)

As it is, it has already been pointed out in the blogosphere that DAP's departure from Malaysian Malaysia to Middle Malaysia is an attempt to beguile the Malays who had rejected the former as a subtle chauvinist agenda. (Point number 2)

Whether such arguments will gain currency is anybody's guess but the coining of the new slogan by DAP has attracted debate.

It is ironic because DAP stalwarts, its national publicity secretary, Tony Pua, for example, in promoting the Middle Malaysia idea in his blog, described it as "apt in times like this, as we swim in various parochial and fringe controversies like Allah and ketuanan Melayu", are now themselves accused of promoting "a chauvinistic fringe concept".

Pua, when explaining Middle Malaysia, said: "It is time to position DAP and our partners Pas and PKR as taking the middle ground where the overwhelming majority of Malaysians stand, while leaving our political enemies to take the extremist position." (Point number 3)

It sounds very reasonable albeit rhetorical.

But the more interesting aspect about Middle Malaysia is that DAP concedes that it will not be able to achieve it on its own and that it needs the all-round support of Pas and PKR. (Point number 4)

This is unlike its Malaysian Malaysia concept which was promoted as a DAP exclusive. With the promotion of Middle Malaysia, Malaysian Malaysia may soon be a slogan of the past. (Point number 5)

The first question now is whether this Middle Malaysia will be embraced wholeheartedly by DAP's partners.

The next is whether Middle Malaysia is the formula to break Barisan Nasional's domination. (Point number 6)

While PKR may just adopt anything, which can undermine or diminish Umno and BN, the same cannot be said about Pas.

Pas has, since the taste of the 2008 general election bounty, shown its preparedness to compromise on issues, which used to be its raison d'etre such as the Islamic state and hudud, but on several occasions struggled to keep abreast of its secular and liberal partners. (Point number 7)

Even in the Herald issue, Pas leaders have been unable to commit themselves to whether they agree on the use of the word "Allah" by those of other faiths. (Point number 8)

There are those within their midst like MP for Shah Alam Khalid Samad who has shown his eagerness to be aligned with DAP and PKR in much of their political stance, justifying his action with Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions. (Point number 9)

For that matter, even in PKR, the MP for Kulim Bandar Baru has on several occasions shown that he was opposed to the pursuits of DAP and his party. (Point number 10)

Before the DAP can "sell" its Middle Malaysia to the rest of Malaysians, their partners would have to get their act together and remove their leaders who are still stuck in various parochial and fringe political principles.

Another question begging for an answer is if DAP can convince PKR in embracing Middle Malaysia -- would not the separate entities become redundant, if not overlapping?

As it is, most of DAP's pronouncements are either echoed by PKR or similarly trumpeted. If Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) could see this and decide to embrace PKR, surely, sooner or later, either PKR or DAP must come to such a conclusion.

The only difference between the two parties now is that DAP has more non-Malays while PKR has more Malays and if they both decide to blur the racial identities, they should be able to exist as one and helm the Middle Malaysia together and not separately. (Point number 11)

But it is doubtful that Pas can ever be with the others unless DAP and PKR accept its leadership and subscribe to some of its ideological principles.

Then, it can be wondered aloud if Pas will be accused of subscribing to parochial and fringe interests.

On the part of the BN, it will never be able to be one as it was formed as a coalition of separate entities intending to pursue separate interests.

That has been its strength and its bane depending on the ebb and flow of domestic politics.

If the respective races they represent are comfortable, even if not necessarily pleased, with the distribution and equation, then the coalition is in good stead.

That has been the formula since the days of the Alliance and the succeeding BN.

The acceptance of BN over the years is actually quite a feat given the fact that it is not ideology-driven unless its pragmatism is considered one.

Otherwise, it is a political bargaining by party elites and adjustments are made where and when necessary.

While detractors are accusing BN of being too immersed in race politics, the BN components have existed because each race wanted them to represent its interests.

BN is actually a reflection of what the Malaysian races are all about -- the want for race-based privileges be they in economy, or in education.

If the Malay/Bumiputeras want their privileges in scholarships and other economic ventures, the non-Bumiputeras want their race-based education to be protected and defended.

For as long as the different races in the country feel that their needs and interests are best pursued by the politicians and political parties representing their race, the BN concept remains the most viable though not necessarily ideal.

Their detractors, though styling themselves as multiracial are never far away from pursuing these racial interests in their political quests.

The only difference is that the BN admits it is a congregation of race-based parties while their opponents proclaim themselves to be the epitome of multiracial virtues.

And how dare anyone equate Middle Malaysia with the Middle Kingdom. (Point number 12)

Tun Ghazalie mati meninggalkan nama

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 10:12 AM PST

"I am restless watching things that happen today. Everyone is lost in the woods" katanya kepada saya semasa saya menziarahi beliau beberapa kali.

Dia senyum. "Ha…. kalau ingat senang nak cerita. Semasa saya belum dijumpai semua orang seluruh dunia kata saya dah mati" memulakan cerita.

Hanya nak dengar kepastian sahaja lagi." Kata beliau serius.

"Saya ingat,..saya baca" jawab saya.

Malah ada pemimpin UMNO kata saya ini 'the best leader' who has played lofty role in International politics."

"Biasalah boss" kata saya.

"Tapi, bila pasukkan penyelamat jumpa saya masih hidup dicelah pokok buluh tu, keadaan berubah.

"Jadi anak muda, itulah politik.

Saya spontan menjawab secara berseloroh, "Alah Tan Sri, berjalan pun dah pakai tongkat, kaki pun dah lemah, takkan nak jadi Ketua Pemuda! Hishamuddin tu muda lagi."

"I am going to use my head to lead, not with my legs!" katanya sambil ketawa besar.

Sekian………………………………………………….Terima Kasih

Nizar accuses Federal Court Justices of being mulut tempayan

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 08:30 AM PST

IF TRUE, JUDGES DESERVE SACKING

If someone is Mulut Tempayan it means they cannot keep a secret and a judge's decision is secret until it is delivered in court.

And yet this controversy-plagued former Perak Menteri Besar is accusing that at least four out of the five Federal Court Judges have been blabbing about their decision to all and sundry, well at least to the all and sundry that Nizar knows anyway.

If it is true that these Federal court justices lacked discretion when discussing their work, I think that they should be removed from office.

These are holders of the highest legal offices in the land , the people we expect to safeguard the interest of people, these are the men entrusted to dispense justice without fear or favour, these are the most strict men we ever hope to encounter in Malaysia, these are men who should be able to keep a secret.

Even a first year law student would know that a jury is not suppose to discuss their deliberations with anyone outside of the group and in the final deliberations, no one is even suppose to know what goes on in the jury room. All is kept tip top secret because justice expects our peers to deliberate a case without outside influence.

This particular case so delicate and yet so heavy that the precedent set by the decision of these five judges could echo well into the next century so if these judges are indeed guilty of being Mulut Tempayan, they deserve nothing less than a sacking.

Of course, on the other hand, Nizar could just be a big fat liar. Desperate to play politics and shore up his fast dimming hopes of ever becoming Menteri Besar again, this PAS politician is running amok with such stories, allegations and accusations.

Typical of Pakatan politicians, they are playing on sentiments and are trying to tell people that the judges area ll for them so that if the decision is nor in their favour, they dust that old favourite broken record - It a conspiracy

CAN '1 MALAYSIA' BE REALISED?

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 06:00 AM PST

Since the introduction of the 1 MALAYSIA concept by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak since taking over the government, many quarters have praise the prime minister for his bold vision to unify and strengthen our Malaysian society which comprises of a multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural society into one single and progress society.

No one will deny that after more than 52 years of Independence, there will never be a problem within the communities.

As usual, through constant communication almost every problem could be resolved.

As such, we would have to give our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet a chance to find an amicably solution to our present problems, Allah issue, Indian grouses, certain BN component parties leadership crisis, and so forth.

If we stand UNITED, we can achieve the goal of realising '1 MALAYSIA'.

26th January 2010: Rebuttal for Anwar Ibrahim Opinion Article in Wall Street Journal Asia

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 04:39 AM PST

The following are points for rebuttal within Anwar Ibrahim's opinion article in the January 26thedition of The Wall Street Journal Asia: Read here for the full text of his skewered opinion according to him....

1) Mr. Anwar Ibrahim has stated that there have been conflicting statements from government regarding the church attacks and that Malaysia frequently fails to offer a safe and secure environment that accommodates its minority communities. He goes further to allege that tensions are "largely due to incitement by a few reckless politicians, the mainstream media and a handful of nongovernmental organizations linked by membership and leadership to the United Malays National Organization".

Rebuttal: This is cynical politics at its worst. By politicising these events, Mr. Ibrahim is fanning the flames of division and attempting to erase the progress we have made over the last year. Malaysian's interest continues to move beyond divisiveness politics and into strengthening their communities and families. We encourage Mr. Ibrahim to do the same.

· THE GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND. The government and the people of Malaysia have spoken with a unified voice in condemning the despicable acts of a few. People have joined as one to assert that violence is never an acceptable way to express views or resolve differences. Muslim and Christian groups are standing shoulder-to-shoulder to ensure all people can worship safely and free of fear as is guaranteed under the Malaysian Constitution.

· THE GOVERNMENT IS FULLY COMMITMED TO RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. While buildings have been damaged, the values all Malaysians share - religious freedom, tolerance, peace and fairness - remain the cornerstones of our communities. Malaysia has a history of respecting the expression and practice of all religions. In Malaysia, people are free to celebrate religious holidays including Christmas and Thaipusam; and, religious expression in schools, such as wearing a headscarf, a cross or a bindi, is guaranteed.

· GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR SAFETY AND REBUILDING. During a visit to one of the most badly damaged churches, the Prime Minister pledged resources to rebuild and emphasised that all Malaysians can attend their places of worship free of fear. While thankfully nobody has been hurt in these attacks, the police are enhancing security and intensifying their investigation to track down the perpetrators and have made several arrests.

· INTENSIFYING EFFORTS TO BRING THE CRIMINALS TO JUSTICE. The Prime Minister and Home Minister have called on the police to leave no stone unturned in this investigation so that those responsible can be brought to justice. The Home Ministry is in regular contact with those leading the investigation and will ensure full communication and transparency to the people on this issue.

· AS THE PRIME MINISTER STATED IN AN OPINION ARTICLE IN THE JANUARY 26TH EDITION OF THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ASIA: "Many Malaysians have been appalled by the irresponsible and dangerous finger-pointing of a few politicians who put personal political interests before Malaysia's national interest. They try to score political points by hammering on sensitive issues. My government chooses a different path. We will reach out to all parts of Malaysian society in the coming days to foster open dialogue and work to resolve sensitive issues together."

2) Mr. Anwar Ibrahim says that recent attacks exemplify what's wrong with the way Malaysia regards its non-Muslim citizens.

Rebuttal: This sceptical view of Malaysia and Malaysians is directly contradicted by the reaction of ordinary Malaysians of all religions following the attacks.

· THE REACTIONS OF ORDINARY MALAYSIANS HAS SHOWN THEY REJECT VIOLENCE: The reaction of ordinary Malaysians to the Church attacks shows that Malaysians do not accept or tolerate acts of vandalism or intimidation against any religion. This is the true spirit of 1Malaysia.

· AS THE PRIME MINISTERS STATED IN AN OPINION ARTICLE IN THE JANUARY 26TH EDITION OF THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ASIA: "Many measures have been taken to counter this violence. Muslim groups volunteered to safeguard churches in their towns. Muslim social activists have written petitions to oppose these senseless acts of vandalism. Muslim civic groups are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Christians, Hindus and Buddhists to ensure that all people can freely worship as they wish. Christian and civic leaders have urged calm and interfaith dialogue; they are fully aware that those who perpetrated these acts do not represent the Muslim majority in Malaysia."

3) Mr. Anwar Ibrahim says recent incidents raise doubts as to the course of the country under the Prime Minister's leadership and that the "vision of Malaysia as a peaceful and stable location for investment, tourism and migration is now in peril".

Rebuttal: Malaysia's overwhelming embrace of the respect, tolerance and community participation outlined in the 1Malaysia initiative prove Mr. Ibrahim wrong. A few despicable acts of cowardice can not derail our efforts, and the vision of Malaysia, and the social and economic progress it supports, remains sound.

· STRENGTHENING THE CONCEPT OF 1MALAYSIA. Over the past year, the government has implemented a number of reforms to increase opportunities for all Malaysians regardless of their ethnicity, including establishing scholarships and other programs to support Malaysia's ethnic communities. Some have attacked 1Malaysia in the wake of these attacks, but the vast majority of Malaysians will continue to foster unity, tolerance, and understanding because of the shared belief that we are stronger together, and weaker divided.

We all know what Allah actually means in this country!

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 04:09 AM PST

A Mosque, a Coptic church side by side in Lebanon!

And for which religion does the word Allah is referring to!
But suddenly Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim (BABI) the most self-appointed rhetorical and semantically capable person on this planet earth, who uses Islam to pursue his political ambition, suddenly became so stupid as not to be able to explain to the international community why Malay-Muslim reject Catholic or any other Christian sect from using the word Allah to refer to their god.

We all know what Allah means but for the purpose of distinguishing between religious beliefs that only Muslim-Malay in this country can exclusively use the word Allah as in reference to their god.

For a quick social and political take: Malaysia has decided a long time ago to be a multi-racial country where all races of all creed, colour and religion can co-exist in peace. We have done so well until BABI decided to become stupid as not to understand why Malay-Muslims, including from his own Justice Party have protested and protested hard for the Catholic not to use Allah in their religion.

Why? This is my take. In a multi-racial conditions such as Malaysia we have to have a set of rules and in fact in any society there must be rules or there will be chaos.

In this instance and via a conventional wisdom we have already decided that Chinese is allowed to practice their custom and religion without hindrance and they can eat pork in a country of a majority Malay-Muslim, and Indian can also practice their custom and beliefs and Malays-Muslim can also practice their culture and religion and we all respect these luxuries where people from other countries can only dream of what we have.

In this country it has been conventionally decided that Allah is referred only to the Muslim-Malay god just to avoid confusion and this has been accepted so well by everyone until now?

BABI is out to create some no good notion saying that Malays have no exclusive rights to the word Allah. Maybe he is right to say so but there was no need for this issue to be allowed to become an issue. For BABI he has in the past been an ardent Muslim right winger in his belief of his religion. He has been known to vehemently defended the religion against anyone appears to besmirch the good name of Islam as we know it in this country.

What BABI said is right Muslim have no right over the word Allah, yes but as I said in this multi-racial dimension of multi-racial Malaysia we have accepted many conventional wisdom affecting the good standing of other races. One is for the Muslim-Malays to be allowed to use Allah as a reference to their god in Islam!

In Lebanon the Maronite Christian and their brother Muslim Lebanese both refer to Allah in reference to God Almighty, Christian Lebanese will say "Inshallah" for almost every second word in any normal conversation.

But then in Lebanon, unlike multi-racial Malaysia, all Lebanese, Muslim or Christian, are Arabs. The Christian Maronite for example have their sermon in Arabic. In Lebanon they are only one race people inhabiting the country THE Arabs. Unlike Malays, Chinese, Indians or Iban or others in this country! So there must be rules!

But suddenly out of the blue the Catholic decided to use Allah in their Malay version of their newsletter Herald!?! Come on man we are not stupid! If thing is done with malice intended then those affected have the right to get pissed off.

I am not even a great Muslim but I do know that simple decorum that we the people of Malaysia have been practising until one pig decided to pit us against one another, no way I will just sit back and watch. I urge the government to throw any dangerous rabble rouser in the dungeon and to throw away the key for the sake of peace for all!

PKR heels-dragging over disciplining the Kulim Wonder

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 04:07 AM PST

Terence Netto has gone for the jugular, ….. yes, that of the Kulim Wonder.

In Malaysiakini's Emboldened Zulkifli derails PKR Netto voiced his suspicion that the Kulim Wonder may be "acting from a script where he is not the sole author".

Netto asked us to recall what the Wonder had told the (so-called, wakakaka) PKR disciplinary committee when he was facing it the first time (for thuggishly barging into the Bar Council forum). Apparently the Wonder informed the (so-called, wakakaka) PKR disciplinary committee that he was the son of a policeman and has an elder brother in the Special Branch.

Whoaaaaaa.

Then Netto saw something that gave him (& me) goose bumps. He wrote:

Yesterday, Zulkifli was present at the national mosque to pay his respects to former minister Ghazali Shafie who died on Sunday. He was seen to be on amiable terms with a top-ranked police officer.

Now any attempt to impute guilt by association would be contemptible, more so when inferred from behavior at occasions when the requisite solemnities demand a general forgetting of political differences in the face of mortality.

But judging from his actions over the past year-and-a-half is it unreasonable to surmise that Zulkifli may be acting from a script where he is not the sole author?

F* whoaaaaaa again.

Netto lamented that PKR lacks the balls (my word, not Netto's) to ever deal with the Wonder appropriately, because he was actually recommended to be sacked for the original behaviour of hooliganism, but PKR leadership kept silent.

But to be fair, I recall its deputy president Dr Syed Husin being very angry with the Wonder and asserted that he would be disciplined. Alas, the point remains tha the Wonder was never disciplined, with Azmin Ali declaring he was 'satisfied' with the Wonder's explanation, whatever that f* means!

That's right, he was allowed to get away scot free for his thuggish behavior, based on WTF he told Azmin Ali.

Netto wrote in utter disgust:

More urgent now is the case of the problematic Kulim Bandar Bharu MP Zulkifli. For the better part of a year and a half, Zulkifli has publicly lashed out at friends and foes alike.

We do not know what Zulkifli would have done in isolation if the PKR politburo had endorsed the decision of its disciplinary committee in 2008 that he be
sacked for intruding on a Bar Council meeting called to discuss the question of religious conversions.

The sacking recommendation was instead held in abeyance, with
no action taken so far.

There followed two events: one, Abdullah Yeop Sani, a former Malaysian ambassador to Spain, resigned his chairmanship of the PKR disciplinary committee; and two, Zulkifli went on to supply further proof that he is not restrained by the mores that govern the public deportment of elected representatives of PKR, or for that matter, Pakatan Rakyat.

I suppose we can safely assume that Abdullah Yeop Sani must have resigned his chairmanship of the PKR disciplinary committee in sheer disgust when the PKR leadership (Azmin Ali? With Anwar's approval?) refused to sack the Wonder.

Today, when the latest case of his sheer inexcusable indiscipline demands swift action by PKR, what do we get?

The title of the Malaysian Insider news article is self explanatory -
Zul's fate to be known within a month

Again the PKR leadership is beating around the bush and avoiding the issue, hoping everything would be forgotten by then, or at least the sense of seriousness ameliorated by time.

Even as PKR put a gag order on him, the Wonder went public to accuse his critics as
Little pharoahs calling for my head.

Obviously he doesn't give a sh*t what PKR says.

You may wonder why, but remember Netto has said about him and the police: But judging from his actions over the past year-and-a-half is it unreasonable to surmise that Zulkifli may be acting from a script where he is not the sole author?
